Casual Italian chain restaurant for stone-baked pizzas and classic pastas, plus separate kids' menu.
Disgusting attitude from two waitress and manger came up for meal with my dissabled boy and thay think its funny to talk about him and laugh I think its time thay had proper training no problems with food tho just staff
Don’t get macaroni cheeseThere literally was no macaroniJust a bowl of cheese sauceThat was cold
It was a really lovely looking restaurant, even for a chain. However I found that their selection of vegetarian options on the menu very lacking. If it wasn’t for me meeting up with friends, I probably would never enter a Prezzo restaurant again and it was extremely overpriced for what it was too. The service wasn’t particularly great either as upon entering, I had to wait over 5 Minutes to be seated, even though staff were standing around doing nothing.
Due to the nature of the building, this was not a pleasant experience. Although it was only half full, it was very noisy because sound just bounces off the walls. The seats are quite uncomfortable. The staff were courteous and efficient and the food was good. We just had one course and left.
We have just had a meal here at the Whitely branch and can only be possitive about it. The staff here are really nice, so friendly and welcoming and made lots of effort with our little girl. The food was fantastic with a great taste and served piping hot.We will be back.** I dropped the stars as the food quality has dropped. I dont think Ive ever sent any food back, but it was so bland I had no choice. Unfortunately the replacement of the same dish was just as bad. The staff treated us accordingly, poor attitude etc.
Clean and tidy, service was a tiny bit slow tbh .... but overall a pleasant dining experience.
1)One meal with seabass which was overcooked and Tasteless and with almost no pesto sauce and what they did have was tasteless.2)The second meal was a margarita pizzaette which was totally tasteless. There was more crust than topping. I asked for extra cheese and did not get it. There was almost no tomato paste. The salad looked like it had been prepared hours before as the dressing was congealed.3)The third meal was a margarita with extra cheese and olives. It looked divine but again was totally tasteless and the base was so floppy and soggy. We had two sticky toffee puddings of which I have had many! This was inedible and I sent it back. It was a totally different texture so so soggy and mushy. In fact both were not eaten.Such a shame as we have eaten at Prezzo many times with huge satisfaction. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We did not complain though as the problems were not their fault.
Very pleasant meal, only minor criticisms were the Burrata was frozen in the middle even after it was late coming out to the table, the olives were all green bar 1 and the king prawns could have been more numerous, 5 on the main compared with 3 for the starter, but the overall flavour of the tamato and chilli sause was good. Thoroughly enjoyed the Calamari, the Bass, both cheese cakes and the chocolate Tart.
Great service, food was a bit of a letdown.
Good hot food and friendly service. We used Tesco Clubcard vouchers. We wouldn’t pay full price
Fab location, great menu & friendly staff.
Popped in here before going to the cinema...ordered garlic bread and pepperoni pizza to share ....both greasy and unappetising...I make much better homemade pizzas...friendly girls though .....
Visited today with friends manager Alex was able to sort my friends mealWith no fuss thanks Alex excellent customer service would definitely go again
Amazing place. The service was outstanding and the food, as always, was tasty and exquisite!
After a scare with car ,late at night ,the staff here were amazing. In particular Glen Everton, Bella Pallister and Dale Ford. They helped us contact security, let us charge our phone & were very understanding and supportive. We were even offered food and drink, which although we didn’t need, we really appreciated the gesture. So kind and caring.Thank you so much guys.we really appreciated all your help.
Visited last weekend with family, on arrival noticed very loud music playing, could hardly hear what the person opposite was saying! Starters expensive for the little amount you get. Ordered main courses and they arrived in under 10 minutes, impossible to make pasta that quickly! Very bland pasta dishes, not much flavour at all! Bar staff girls staring at tables and whispering, not very professional at all!
Booked for a big family do, staff very helpful and food was excellent ,thankyou so much for doing the birthday cake surprise for my daughter
We had a family celebration tonight for my daughts 21st Birthday, and we could not have chosen a more beautiful place. The food was amazing, the staff were attentive and the ambiance was perfect.Thank you for a lovely evening xx
Prezzo -Whitley village.what a delightful place very spacious with lovely decor, staff were absolutely lovely, food was delicious, only down side was the gap between courses, not bad for adults or when on a social, but will children they lose interest fairly quickly, but overall great experience, even left a tip! 5 starsPrezzo - Whitely Village.Sorry guys have you five stars on the last visit & this time you didn’t let me in and told me there was a 2+ hour wait, glad to see you were busy but have to mark you down, perhaps next time.
Unfortunately if you look at the trends of the negative reviews about this restaurant my feedback would be that they are all accurate. We decided to visit anyway as our next nearest Prezzo is a long way away. Food was both burnt and completely overcooked, while at the same time cold, which was pretty impressive. The sauce in the chicken and mushroom dish was very runny and bitter, while the chicken was dry, chewy and overcooked. It’s never tasted like that in any other Prezzo I’ve eaten in. When we raised it with the staff we were told the burger was cooked on a char grill and was therefore meant to be burnt. Right, but I’m pretty sure it shouldn’t be completely dry all the way through as well as being luke warm when served. Very disappointed and a really bad representation of the brand. 👎
Food nice although my fries a bit cool. Beer was returned flat but didnt spoil a lovely evening. Staff attentive and a tip given.
The lasagna was burnt on the bottom so we had to have something else. They also charge you extra to have ice cream with your cheesecake. Apart from that, the food was okay in the end.
Ate here last night with a party of 8. The food was as good as Id expect from a decent Prezzo, but the staff were the real stars. The waiting team were so nice, happy, helpful and patient. I havent experienced service that good in years. There were quite a few tables taken, even on a Monday night, so they had their work cut out, but everyone really enjoyed the evening.
Came here for a family lunch today (3-9-21), was welcomed by friendly & polite staff members. Food ordering process was easy to understand, food orders didn’t take that long to arrive to the table even though the restaurant itself was fairly busy. No complaints with the food, it was hot & really nice to eat. Seating area was clean, when other diners left, a staff member would immediately go to their table to clean up & wipe down methodologically which was good to see. Overall a good experience & would definitely return some time in the near future!
If you like cheese on your pizza dont buy one from here because there isnt any. Absolutely dreadful. There was more on the pasta that I had. Italians would be ashamed and the Americans would have laughed. Pathetic.
Very nice. Food tasted very fresh and delicious. Will come back for sure!
I visited this restaurant on Saturday the 14th of August 2021 with my wife, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, for a meal to celebrate my birthday. The waitresses were very efficient and the service extremely good, and the presentation of the food was extremely good and very tasty. But I have to say that I dont like the type of building that this particular type of restaurant have been set up in. Because the Soft Furnishings in this style of restaurant are to the minimum it makes for a very noisy atmosphere and if you are somebody who has very poor eyesight which makes you Reliant upon your hearing then it does you no favours at all as you will most likely struggle to join in conversation because of the noise echoing around the building. But despite that as I said the service and the food was extremely good!
Went for my daughters birthday this evening. Sat upstairs. The waiting staff were lovely as was the food. Will definitely recommend.
Dont go if you have allergies.Went there this evening. Was super clear with the manager and the staff that I have an issue with goat cheese: I wont die if I eat it but it will ruin my evening because it makes me feel so unwell, and often vomit if I have even a small amount. What happens? They add goats cheese to my husbands food, which I didnt see until I tasted a bit. The one thing that ruins my evening! It wasnt even part of the dish we had ordered, the chef had seen it written on the order and thought we wanted it added! I cannot believe it frankly.Ill be fine in the morning but what if I had a fatal allergy? They gave us our meal for free and offered us a discount on our next visit but we wont be going back.
Very organised, one way system, plenty cleaning, food was lovely, Natalie was friendly, apologised for not checking on us more but it was fine a colleague on her way past had, team work!! No long waits, despite being busy with the offer on. Would go again as take taste card too
Food was the best meal Ive had. Really noisy though with layout of buildiny even with reduced numbers.
Took my partner and our 2 children there this evening for a table at 8 oclock. Instantly felt welcome and was shown to our table on time. I take my hat off to our table staff, the service they delivered was second to none that I have experienced when out for a meal. Nothing was too much to ask and they were warm and welcoming in these most uncertain times. The food was exceptional and coupled with the atmosphere and team running the restaurant made for a truly wonderful evening. Our children also had a wonderful time and they were treated like any other customer would be. An overall excellent experience, in fact I thought so much of it I came straight home to write this review.
100% recommend!!Wasnt too busy and the food was outstanding! Natalie was very helpful and very easy to chat to. The gluten free menu is astonishing and it was honestly the best meal weve had in a very long time. Will definitely be coming back very soon!
After being turned away from Harvester, me and my partner turned to Prezzo to grab a bite to eat and right from start to finish the service from.the staff was outstanding. The staff here took time to engage with customers around the establishment to give them the welcome wow factor in my book and took a few moments to engage in ordinary conversation regardless. The starters we ordered took reasonable time to arrive and the starters themselves were cooked with perfection and care for.customer enjoyment which is great to see as sometimes you order calimari at other places and its just swimming in fat and cooking oil..The mains we both thoroughly.enjoyed. I had.salmon fillet and it smelt amazing, the veg tasted wonderful and the overall price for two people was great too..Such an amazing establishment I would.highly recommend this place as a customer visiting the area from out of townWill definitely return.
Polite and attentive service, food is delicious. One of the bottles of wine was served at room temperature but management was happy to swap.We also used meercat code to get 2 for 1 meals
Had lovely service from Natalie very easy to talk to and knows what she’s doing. Would recommend trying to go upstairs as it’s better service. Clean and both genders toilets. Not to busy and lovely and quiet. Would definitely recommend for families.
Went to Prezzo for dinner and it just was not the experience or service we usually recieve. We were seated and given menus and drinks swiftly but it went all down hill from there. The resturant was only occupied by 4 tables including ours when we first walked in. We received our starters and they tasted great but it took 10 minutes to have our dirty plates cleared. I was looked at several times by members of staff in this time but they proceeded to ignore us and do other things instead. Once they where cleared I watched our mains being plated and ignored on the side to get cold while staff where again doing other things (not serving customers because at this point there was only one other tableonce the food came it was again great. Our plates where cleared and we asked to see a desert menu but the lady who said she would get them never returned and after 20 mins of waiting we gave up. Asking for the bill we had to go to the bar for this and my partner wasnt given any eye contact by the manager who was too busy doing wine stock taking to acknowledge him at 1st until he asked again. Myself and my partner where one 1 of the 2 remaining tables occupied in the resturant this evening, the place was dead and the service received was poor considering the lack of people, it should have been on point and 10/10. We should have been served quicker and more efficiently than what we received tonight.
Im sorry to say that the experience was not good, firstly they couldnt find any record of our booking, but we were given a table as I had an email from them to prove the booking. Waitress came and took our order for drinks which came quite promptly, after that Im afraid it all went down hill very rapidly. After having our starters we had to wait over an hour for our main course.... the service was that bad we were given a 50% discount from the only member of staff who was prepared to talk to us..... I will not be going back Im afraid 😡😡😡
Had many problems. Ask for food and starters to be brought together and starter was brought first way before main. The main pizza was supposed to have mushrooms but came out without. When sent back the cooked the same pizza again and burnt it. Then brought the bill and tried to charge twice for a drink. When we relayed out concerns to the manager Martha, she said they were training new staff. There was no apology or compensation for the multiple mistakes. Wont be back and we dont recommend it to others.
Despite having booked a table one was not ready. Then waited 20 minutes to have one put together squashed in between others. Took 45 minutes for a sharing bread board, and then a further 35 minutes for our meal. The spagetti carbonara was dry, the service sporadic. Hated it...
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The staff were very efficient, especially our waitress Martha who worked hard to make us feel relaxed and enjoy our night. She was very smiley, approachable and professional. We will definitely be returning.
Today we had one of the best experiences dining out. Our Waitress Martha was fantastic, our meals were delicious and came out quickly, the time in between each course was spot on. Thank you very much.
Pretty disappointed. Sent two pasta dishes back as they were cold. All that happened was they were microwaved which dries the pasta around the edge and doesnt heat the centre. I had a folding pizza that was 60 percent dough with a filling of little flavour and almost no spice (heat). Not sure wed go back
Our second waitress was so attentive and friendly. Food was ok. perhaps slightly understaffed for the evening but not a disappointment at all.
Service was very slow, but, very friendly. The amount of time for mains to arrive after the starters was excessive to say the least.First Gin & Tonic was served with Flat tonic and had to be returned. It was promptly changed.Food tasted good, although, the Truffle Infused fries were not wort the hefty price tag. (Same as the standard fries with a tiny bit of topping)Would I return, probably not.
Food was good, portions were just right. 2 glasses of wine, 2 starters and 2 mains came to around £50 which was made a bit cheaper to a voucher found on their website. Quite noisy when we arrived at 8pm but quietened down considerably towards the end of the meal. Service was prompt and the staff were friendly.
Really good value with a Wednesday or Thursday voucher (40% offand excellent choice for me being gluten intolerant. I had a pizza and it was lovely.
Came in on a Wednesday evening, surprised to see the restaurant almost at full capacity. Understandably service was a little slow but nonetheless friendly. After placing my order, they frustratingly forgot my drink. The food however was excellent, sea bass went down very well as did the truffle infused fries.
Restaurant spread over two floors send therefore feels smaller than it is, which is quite nice. Rather good food, though I would have preferred the pizza getting another minute in the oven. Friendly service and food arrived fairly quickly but it you quite long to get hold of the bill at the end.
Went there for my wifes birthday. 5 adults. 1, 3 year old and 1 only 9 months old. My son ordered a pizza that he didnt know was very spicy. No problem they changed it. The food was great. The staff looked after us and we has a lovley evening. Aimee
