Premier Inn Wolviston/Wynyard in Middlesbrough

Ive put it down as two because of a few certain things.The rooms are extremely outdated and I didnt expect it, it didnt look like the usual premier inns Ive been to so it was definitely the worse when it came too looks and size.Stains all over the bottom of the bed, lampshade looked like it was ripped and stains all over the walls and cupboard.Felt more like a cheap B&B rather than a Premier inn.No bath either just a shower that I wasnt aware of.Now I know this isnt the hotels fault at all but there where people so loud until 2am in the morning playing music, baring in mind I had a 4 year old sleeping. If you want a QUIET sleep then definitely do not recommend this hotel, you can hear EVERYTHING!!.Never had issues with loud noises in any Premier inn ever but this is definitely an old outdated one.They also use pictures of the new rooms not the ones they use just as a heads up, so you feel a bit had off.Good thing is however there is a Costa, Mcdonald, Toby, kfc and a londis very very close, and the bed was comfy.

A very well located hotel just off the A19. The room was cosy, clean and comfy. The staff were very helpful - managed to get the buzzing noise in my room stopped so I could get a good nights sleep! Restaurant only serves breakfast but there are lots of fast food options close by and restaurants within walking distance.

I honestly wouldnt stay here again.Positives 1st.Cleanliness was great no hidden surprises at all.Bathroom was clean smelt fresh on arrival.Beds were nice and clean, soft and again smelt fresh.Pretty much perfect tbh.Staff were friendly and helpful with the problems we encountered and very apologetic.Now the bad.What in the hell is going on with the temperature in these rooms!!!!My room hit 30+ which caused my young daughter to vomit from the heat as we couldnt cool the room down, even with 2 fans going and the window was open.This experience has honestly put me off staying here ever againSo again great service by the staff and cleanliness of the rooms,But 1* for the shear uncomfortabilty of the heat.Never again

Sadly attention to detail with the cleaning is remiss. We had an accessible room and the bathroom was tired and grubby

Beautifully clean, fantastic service. Everything we needed in the room including a really effective fan which was great as it was during the August heatwave and it kept the room wonderfully cool.The reason I havent given it 5 stars is because the breakfast was a little bit under and overcooked but it was still perfectly edible.I would highly recommend this Premier Inn.

Staff friendly and professional, I mistakenly aye in the Toby carvery as I didnt realise the hotel had a restaurant. Dont like carverys. Breakfast was excellent, efficient and friendly staff. Room was fine.

Nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very good breakfast. Tonnika the manger is great, nothing to much trouble

So the positives, the location is perfect and having so many options on your doorstep (Mc Donalds, KFC, Costa, Toby Cavery, Dominosis really good.However the room is on the ground floor right opposite the bins so at 6:30 this morning the dulcet tones and singing was somewhat of a bummer, as the large industrial bins were emptied into the lorry! At least the guys working were happy to be up at that time...The shower also had a habit of stopping and starting again which was a bit interesting. Fortunately I dont need that much shampoo in my hair...Would I stay again, yes. But I wouldnt want to be in rooms 1-4 as they are not the best located..

Ideal place for me to stay near Billingham. Nice clean spacious rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful and breakfasts are lovely.

Superbly run Hotel. Helpful friendly staff, very clean rooms. Restaurant for breakfast is excellent, good quality and value for money. Tobys next door! Well known pizza joint, one with the dots close by. A golden arches and fried chicken house too. BP garage completes the estate.

Friendly staff, good services, range of food outlets suits most tastes.

No cold water available to flush toilet or have a shower or simply clean my teeth

Great stop off on route to Scotland. Staff lovely. Rooms in extension are good. Great pressure for water so shower was great. Shame no aircon. Also please put a sign on the car park entrance... I drove right past it and ended up going in the exit 🙈.... But in my defence it did say it was the premier inn exit.... Ps save yourself money by having breakfast in the lovely Costa Costa at same complex.

Looking a little dated, room was comfortable enough, staff pleasant and helpful. Good situation, plenty of choices to eat within walking distance. Hard to say what Premier Inn has that Travelodge doesnt.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the rooms are always cleaned well

Really excellent value for money. Great nights sleep and really handy for travelling either further North or down South.

Stayed for 2 nights , the hotel was clean and staff are accomodating.Just two little bits one was the toilet not having a strong enough flush ( room 10 and couldnt get my head round COVID restrictions still being in place.

I was sceptical at first as to the quietness as it is close to the roundabout and could attract a lot of noise but I neednt have worried. It was everything it advertises, clean ,quiet and quality of the cooked breakfast was great 👍. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it very much. It was easy to find and travel too, I was surprised by its capacity. Will return.

Despite having to move rooms at 1a.m. due to noisy guests next door I found the staff great, the breakfast lovely and the rooms spotless and comfortable. Grest reception staff and great waiter service. The lad serving breakfast was fab! Funny and efficient too!

Good night as usual at Premier Inn. Good standards. Clean and quiet rooms. Staff friendly. No hot buffet breakfast, rather table service which was a first for me. Pretty good though. Would happily stay again.

Really great hotel. Lovely rooms. Premier Inn does not normally let you down. On this occasion its definitely true.

Room was good. Well maintained. Nice and clean with a decent shower. Bed was comfy. Big TV.WiFi worked fine. Essential here because phone signal is almost non existent on O2 and Three. Other networks I’m not sure.There was noise from the corridor early in the morning which woke me up. I guess this was rambunctious guests, not the hotel’s fault.Plenty of parking but small spaces. Convenient location off the A19 with KFC, McDonald’s, Costa, Toby Carvery and Dominos on the same lot for all your chain food needs.

Old fashioned room that smelt of old cigarettes. No bathroom fan meant the bathroom stayed damp and wet. The added bonus of a Toby Carvery wasnt quite enough to make this somewhere Id go back to. That said the staff were all very nice and helpful.

I have eaten here before and that is fine. But when staying in the hotel and wanting to call in for a drink between say 9.30 and 10pm its a different story.The place has often already been closed or you go in and the first thing they say is "we are closing soon I can serve you but you will need to drink up". Both the instances mentioned have happened several times now so its no accident.If you want a drink pop to the Wellington in Wolviston, its across the road and a great friendly pub

Room was clean & comfortable as expected by premier Inn chain ...however breakfast was a shambles ...had to chase waiting on staff be able to .placed order for hot food nothing out of ordinary just sausage, bacon, eggs , black pudding and waited over 40 mins for it to arrive ...no explanation on the delay , had to chase staff again on update of food to be told they were finishing preparation on it ..... Other tables started questioning the wait also same answers were thrown around. ... Not the usual service we receive and shall be cancelling further booking at this hotel.

Great location just off the A19, McDonalds, KFC, Costa Coffee. All on the same site. Lovely quiet rooms and the staff were very helpful. Having breakfast cooked for you in over a year was a treat and it was cooked to perfection. Will definatly be staying here again****

Clean tidy. Located off dual carrigeway. So fast food abound!. Toby inn next doorOk for break in travel up south. Breakfast good. Choice of cereals , fruit. Etc and choice of exactly the amount you want of cooked items .

Staff friendly and professional. A shame about the local mast on fire so tv not working. Room could do with some keeping up but food was fantastic. If I could have an omelette next time even better.

5 stars to Julia who was on reception last night. We checked in late last night and Julia was very helpful. Julias customer service skill are second to none. She was very helpful and when I asked for ice, a container, iron, ironing board...just to name a few items needed, Julia was happy to provide and help out and all with a smile on her face. Julia gets 5 stars for her customer service skills when I family were so demanding.

Great value for money. The room set-up of the twin room we stayed in was nicer than to be expected going by some other hotels of the chain. The hotel was kept clean, and there was ample parking, though we did have to enter the registration number to pay for parking to cover our stay.The hotel is sign-posted well, and it is quite easy to find as its just off of the A19, and it is within easy reach and a short drive of the rest of the towns in the Teesside area. Would recommend.

The staff were brilliant but the venue was showing its age and unlike the Canterbury premier Inn did not offer evening meals and did not have a lounge.

Its located in a good place nice and quiet everything you need in rooms. Toby carvery next door even a 24 hr convience store. MC Donalds. Costa Coffee and KFC all within walking distance of hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean but smaller rooms than other Premier Inn hotels. No air conditioning but fan and electric radiator in room.

Not Premier Inns finest - toilet blocked, shower curtain fell down twice before we gave up on it! Fire alarm went off during breakfast. Overall appearance of hotel tatty!

Typical Premier Inn, everything is clean and kept socially distant.Would be 5 stars, but the carpark can get chaotic due to the Toby Carvery next door, not ideal if you want to park a van at certain hours. Also, water pressure is a little all over the place.

Checked in. Only me there. No staff for ten mins. Repeatedly pressed the alert buzzer to no avail. Not a good start. If comparing to the Middlesbrough Premier Inn 8 mile down the road then this one is lacking that touch of quality. Nothing major, but as we know, little things matter. If youve stayed in both then youll know what i mean. The rowdy parking area near your window doesnt help the ambience.

Had to wait 10 mins to be checked in. Only me there. Probably not the girls fault if she was busy somewhere, but nevertheless its not what you want. Rooms are not to the usual spec of other Premier Inns Ive been in. A bit drab. Very noisy car park right next to my window, and everybody elses window actually. Should of stayed at Middlesbrough Premier Inn for a few miles more travel.

Excellent clean room. Reception staff member very friendly and helpful. Good size car park. Fuel and food outlets nearby. Location way from main roads, so some the rooms may be quiet.

We normally really enjoy staying here, rooms clean and staff friendly. BUT on this occasion the receptionist, which is your 1st point of contact was abrupt and rude. We had just had a 5 and 1/2 hour car journey so was not happy with the reception we received. Apart from that as i said rooms clean and bed very comfortable

Friendly staff. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. Good location as well right next to Toby carvery, McDonalds, KFC, Costa and dominoes which is a good amount of places to choose from to eat at

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very nice. Staff were friendly. Had a great nights sleep on a comfy bed. Reasonable too. Recommended if staying in the area

We had booked 2 rooms - one normal and one disability. The disability room had an extremely low bed. It was only when leaving that we discovered that we could have phoned to request legs on the bed in the disability room. Well know next time! Otherwise the disability room had a fully accessible wet room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

First time I have stopped in a Premier and will definitely be using again. Clean, comfy and even if you dont wish to pay for the price of their breakfast places just next to hotel for cheaper breakfast. Would recommend

Highly recommend new wing of the hotel. Super-comfy mattress so slept longer than expected. View of green outside! Very friendly staff. Breakfast is self-serve with lots of options. easy check-in and check-out. Used heavily by wedding groups.

For a one night stay it is fine. Comfortable and the usual Premier Inn facilities. My room was a bit on the small size and only had a shower, but like I said above good enough for one night. Breakfast was good but not buffet style like some other Premier Inns.
