East Langs Tech Park, Langstone Rd PO9 1SA, Waterlooville
Next to a traditional pub and set on a residential street, this cosy hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Langstone Technology Park office complex, a 13-minute walk from Havant train station and 9 miles from the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The unfussy rooms feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, as well as tea and coffeemaking equipment. Kids age 15 and under (up to 2 in a family room) stay at no charge with an adult.Parking is complimentary. A laid-back restaurant/bar has a children's menu.
Would have scored 4 star but no Internet. Otherwise standard premier Inn quality, excellent breakfast offerings. Should be excellent at £100 a night
Stayed here a few times over the last month on business and while the staff are nice and the hotel is very clean there are several problems.I specifically booked normal double room but was given an adapted room instead. I had previously stayed in one of those rooms and the mattress was too small for me, like mush and gave me back ache.I immediately complained to the management and they said that because the hotel was full I would have to move to another hotel to get a different room type but would be left out of pocket due to the cost of parking at the other hotels in the area. I asked them to refund me the cost of the parking as my having to pay it would be due to their mistake and they refused. This meant I was stuck in the uncomfortable accessible room for the night. The Internet is shockingly unreliable, Ive had several nights where it just hasnt worked and some of those are where I paid for the Premium WiFi. I complained about this but got fobbed off by customer services. It doesnt help that the mobile phone reception is absolutely nonexistent meaning youre stuck with the dodgy WiFi or nothing at all.At this point I dont think that as a company Premier Inn give a stuff about their customers, theyre more interested in taking your money than providing a decent service. As said at the start of this review the staff were nice and the food in the morning was also decent
Staying here for work. Hotel has no WIFI, and staff cannot tell me when it will be back on. I payed the £5 extra for better WIFI however this is not working either. Cannot use my phones data to hotspot my laptop to work as theres no signal in my room. Cannot make phone calls due to no signal. So absolutely no communication can be made unless I walk out my room and stay out of the hotel Even prisoners have better conditions than this. They have everything I have plus they can actually make phone calls. Ridiculous
Shame a few items were off the menu. The food was very good.
The breakfast was really nice and the staff helpful. They sent back a lost teddy to us that my son left in the room and we are very grateful!
Friendly helpful staff, comfortable clean room, good breakfast.
Was a well-priced option for visiting Goodwood Revival. Friendly staff, clean and well-equipped room. Free WiFi is worthless, apparently they will upgrade the service soon. Free parking and restaurant just across from the hotel as well as a smaller restaurant inside the hotel. Breakfast was really good.
Typical Premier Inn, you know what you are getting before you arrive. What makes this one better than the norm is the staff. You are made to feel genuinely welcome. You arrive to a smile (something lacking in many hotelsfrom check to check out they make your stay as good as it could possibly. Breakfast starts at 6:30am so Im one of the first in and I have to say when compared to a lot of chain hotels the breakfast is great with a wide variety for all.
Staff were very helpful, room was clean and breakfast was hot along with plenty of selection.
Perfect base for base for meeting friends and visiting Portsmouth.Friendly and arrival and throughout our stay, comfy beds and coffee facilities.Breakfast was superb the fact the buffet is linked to the kitchen server is such a good idea as the food was nice and hot.We didnt get to try the restaurants but we will be returning.
As Premier Inns go it was ok, the female staff seemed very preoccupied with the workmen in the centre of what this hotel called a bar area, they clearly were all very friendly and vocal. Food was ok but in the room the table was gaffa taped, the lamp switch broken as was the air conditioning switches the door would only lock when pulled towards you the chair seat was creaky and very thin you could feel the frame. It was however clean and fairly quiet
Hotel staff were helpful and friendly especially the manager who couldnt do enough for people. The hotel was spotless and comfortable. This is definitely the best premier inn we have stayed in 😊
We stayed at the Premier Inn Havant, using it as a base for our daughter’s wedding which was taking place at a venue close by. We had a block booking for 30+ rooms for ourselves and our guests and from start to finish the service and quality of our stay was excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful and I was so impressed by how spotlessly clean and comfortable our room was. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so great and to the lovely chap on reception who helped us get through the initial complicated booking, I have to say you’re a star. This was my first stay at a Premier Inn and it was a great experience.
Fantastic stay, thanks for housekeeping team provided some little welcome gesture for my daughters. Lovely breakfast with the hot dish were all well prepared and quick replenishment.
Car parking is a right pain private carpark quick to send you a ticket even though the sign is not at all easy to see at night. Waited round the back to pick someone up was there 45 mins approx. Waiting in car and received a ticket in the post..not enough signs or warnings that your in a private rip off car park beware
Perfect for local access to beaches and Portsmouth City also close to shops. The nearby pub/restaurant was good as was the food service in the Hotel.Breakfast is spectacular 👌
No reception staff every time we went to reception. Cutlery in room was dirty. Room hadnt been cleaned properly. The Good Night Guarantee is very misleading. We did not sleep as there was banging and stamping from the room above all night. Went to reception but no one was there. Tried to claim money back under the guarantee using the online form and was refused as it doesnt cover internal noise! Not sure how they can call this a guarantee and then stipulate that you must sleep through any noise inside the hotel regardless of how disruptive it is! Very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone.
Nice hotel , good beds clean and New, but no phone signal or Internet on ee ,
We had a nice stay over a couple of days. The room was nice, space and clean. The bathroom also bright and clean. The breakfast is good and the stuff is really helpful and friendly.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was not cleaned during my stay, no fresh towels because you have to request your room be cleaned at reception but there’s never anyone on reception! I tried to get food delivered and the reception would not let the driver up. They never answer the phone, I tried to call many times! There’s no phone reception in the hotel and the free Wi-Fi is so terrible you have no choice but to buy the better Wi-Fi if you want any contact with the outside world! Please don’t waste your money on this joke of a hotel.
Lovely and clean and very friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
Ok room and bed were good but prices are really ridiculous for a nights stay .get the prices down
Absolute terrible wifi, speed tests always show 0.2mbs no matter the time of day! For sure I will never book with this brand of hotel again. Impossible to get any emailing done. I stay at hotels weekly and by far this is the worst Internet I have ever experienced!
Perfect for overnight stop. Restaurant food served quickly and good choices on menu. Puddings not required after good sized portions for main course.
Absolutely great hotel! Faculties are amazing, one thing is a disappointment is that kids aren’t allowed in the pool after 7, and it shuts at 8. My daughter is 15 not a big deal but they should’ve let her in, if your over 16, you can go in after 7, I find it really unfair I think if they changed it for everyone it would be more amazing, was thinking about driving home because we didn’t realise.
Good situation with the carvery pub next door which has lovely food ! Windows dont open Felt stuffy even with the air-conditioning on , Bed too hard not a comfortable nights sleep not like the normal comfortable hypnos beds in others have stayed in !
Very courteous and professional staff. Food very good. Pity no draught lager/beer etc but I appreciate that the bottled products are easier to manage etc
As usual with premier inn the WiFi was terrible. 2mbps. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Room clean, tidy and quiet. Nice size TV and a short walk to the town center.
Cant complain, Staff are friendly nothing is a problem for them.Rooms are clean and spacious .Location is good with links to Portsmouth or Chichester.Got to say its not a bad Premier Inn.
In keeping with the brand, rooms. Were fairly clean and tidy although slap dash in the bathroom with the toilet being neglected (I needed to clean this before usingand others may have complained more.Staff very helpful on check in and throughout the stay.Breakfast (all inclusive full Englishwas good, although it was self service, quantity in the trays of food was kept small and struggled to feed a family of 4 without waiting for refill. Continental selection was limited in comparison to other venues and no muffins or pastries were on offer.Would stay here again and price was reasonable.
Good value, comfortable bed, quiet too despite the location.OK, so its not The Ritz but you can get breakfast and dinner here, which is not the case with some of the other low cost hotels.
My only criticism would be that the mattress was very hard (but then, some people prefer them that way!Very helpful staff, a good hearty breakfast and a very reasonable price. What more can you ask for?
Best Premier Inn by far! The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The room was very nice, super clean and very comfortable. My favourite one for sure, Ill definitely be back. Thank you!
Lovely stay... Clean room and comfortable bed.... Breakfast was as expected and yummy as always... Was good stay and will be back if in the area!
Very clean and super friendly staff. Very good example of a low cost comfortable hotel. Reminds me that Premier Inn has this market covered.
Attended a family wedding in a near by villageSome members used Airbnb. I have no idea why?Delighted with everything, clean room with excellent facilitiesGreat breakfast choicesHelpful staffGreat value for money
Very overpriced when we stayed. Book a family room but they didnt provide any extra towels so I had to come down and request them from reception. I personally didnt have a goog nights sleep but wasnt able to find anyone when checking out to report the issue under the sleep guarantee.
Great hotel with in brilliant location for Isle of Wight Ferry and Portsmouth. However, the place must be lined with steel as phone and wifi signal disappeared immediately when entering the hotel. It was the same for all my colleagues.
Firstly be aware there is no mobile signal in the hotel. Two levels of Wi-Fi. We paid for the “ultimate” but was still unable to use messaging/WhatsApp/Wi-Fi calling and other bits. Had to keep going out to the car to get emails and phone calls. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean.
Staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was really nice and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The meals were really good, cant praise all the guys and girls enough really. Made my precious time away stress free. Thoroughly recommend
What an amazing quality hotel, so clean, fabulous shower and a terrific amount of 3pin sockets. But, strangely no shaver/electric toothbrush 2pin point so beware take a shaver adapter. Otherwise GREAT!!
Fantastic staff, very welcoming nothing was too much trouble.Friendly and polite from the time we arrived until the time we left.Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. The room was comfortable, clean and we felt very safe in the current climate. We would definitely go there again and recommend the Inn to anyone wanting a great break. All staff should be very proud of the great job they are doing
The hotel was as you would expect although it felt very lacking in customer service and nobody ever came when we pressed the button at the front desk for service on all occasions.I gave up trying as it was frustrating me immensely. The sleep was okay for a hotel albeit the room was noisy, not really something the hotel can fix.Breakfast was a disgrace, we got down on time and waited for an extra ten minutes, we were greeted and seated and then it was a whirlwind of sweat flying everywhere from the 3 poor souls who were trying to serve everything to all tables. We didnt get everything we ordered and any interruption of the staff who were in autopilot would have meant someone else would not have got fed, I felt so bad when I asked for help after standing Infront of the coffee machine that read milk empty for another ten minutes. My child was screaming as nobody got her milk. I paid full price for two premier Inn breakfasts and got the equivalent in headache and we left with empty stomachs as nobody even came back to our table to clear up. Infact when we realised my wife forgot her cardigan and she went back for it half an hour later, the table still wasnt cleaned up.It was shocking, disappointing and an absolute waste of money ,all You Can eat breakfast where they made damn sure we couldnt eat anything and we didnt even utilise the governments eat out policy so I feel totally ripped off!Save your money and dont bother with buying breakfast at the hotel, what we did get was awful and there was nobody at reception to complain to after.
Lovely hotel, clean, looks new. Parking is free too which is a bonus. Pub right next door to the hotel though we didnt use it. Theyre following covid safety rules. Would definitely come again. 😀
The hotel still has that nearly new feel and is plush and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The only issue we encountered was the location - no provision has been made for pedestrian access to Havant. There is no crossing and you have to take your life into your hands to cross a busy road. Other than that I would have given 5 stars.
We had a lovely stay I have only given 4 stars because even tho they said that the room had been cleaned I saw dust everywhere in the bathroom on the skirting boards and and the bathroom floor didnt look as clean as it should have been. we had a disabled bathroom it all looked clean but underneath on the back wall all where the chair was for disabled person to sit down it looked as if it could do with a good clean it was black apart from all that the staff were all fantastic everything was just lovely
Stayed here for five nights and didnt want to leave. Great staff, hotel clean and everything you could ask. Parking ample, the restaurant is not open yet but theres a restaurant/carvery opposite which has just reopened. Bed and pillow was so good I ordered some pillows from their website! Aircon was also lovely!
We had the pleasure of staying here from September 2019 to January 2020.My partner and I found ourselves in a difficult position where we had to leave our old home and unfortunately wait 3 months before our new place was ready. Basically this Premier Inn became our home for over 3 months. The whole time the staff made us feel happy and comfortable during what was a difficult time for us. The staff are like a little family that seem to love their jobs and truly care about their customers. We always looked forward to breakfast. The choices were brilliant and the chefs were great. We had freshly cooked cheese omelette nearly everyday along with a good choice of food. The room was always immaculately clean and the housekeeping staff were also lovely. The whole hotel was beautifully cared for and regularly cleaned. If ever we needed anything we could always find a member of staff in the reception area that was happy to help. You would quite often see management getting stuck in along side their staff which I felt was really nice.It was so great we felt they deserved a glowing review to express our gratitude. We will definitely visit again.
We stopped off here as we had a early ferry the following morning. As usual the room was pretty good and staff were very helpful and happily supplied is with extra tea without any issues. We have stayed at loads of Premier Inns and the staff have always been very helpful and if we have ever had any issues they have been sorted out with no issues at all. This place was clean and tidy and also had a free carpark attached which is always a bonus.
Very pleasant. Spotlessly clean and sleek. Staff were friendly on reception and helpful throughout our stay. Good restaurant on the ground floor and breakfast was excellent. (Note, dont bother with the pub visible outside the main door, the food is far superior in the hotel...... or in the macdonalds down the road to be honest). Just a great restful stay whilst visiting relatives and excellently priced. Will definitely be coming again.
