As expected, just make sure you dont get an adjoining room
Staff were friendly, breakfast was good
Typical Prem Inn, clean and tidy rooms, staff pleasant, not tried breakfast yet, paid for in my package to stay here, think its 9.50.A separate Toby Carvery on same site but not connected. Free parking as resident, you must sign in your Reg No on arrival.Free wife and tea/coffee in the room along with colour TV on Freeview.
Premier Inns are consistent in offering a comfortable bed and an optional breakfast. This incarnation did just that. Space in our ground floor room was reasonable. Shower and lavatory are well thought out. We did feel the decorations were beginning to be a little tired. Staff welcoming and helpful.
Room is just next to staircase. Hear noises from rooms above and people opening the door. Unable to relax.
We never have a problem at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Always happy and smiling which is what you want. And they remember if you have been previously aswell.
Interesting reading previous reviews as I found the reception woman extremely rude and rold me to "wait a minute", dispute not saying anything. The said "while youre waiting pit your car registration in there" pointing at the tablet. Well , I suppose you would expect people to drive given the useless location. I walked from Middlesbrough Station and wouldnt advise the 48 minute walk to anyone with more than 1 backpack. On the hottest day of the century, I found no air/con in the room, the window open and curtains drawn tight back so the room was a 30 Celsius heat trap.To be honest, not a good impression and the 2nd worst Premier Inn I have stayed in after Lancaster. My advice is to stay in the city centre premier inn or another company.
We was supposed to be staying here 9/7/2022 my partner tested positive for Covid the night before so we rang up to cancel and was told we would be losing all our money and we had paid for breakfast also. £70+ down the drain and Premier Inn not bothered. Won’t be staying with this company ever again.
Lovely staff, ideally located for next day hospital appt. Room clean, bed extremely comfortable , staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast a bonus. Perfect stay thankyou.
Usually stay at the 1 thats in town centre that never has WiFi and broken windows ......in comparison this place is heaven, staff are beyond helpful and lovely , theres free parking and lots of it, its quiet. Its super clean and I cant wait for it get its refurb , there a Toby carvery just outside is handy ....def recommend over the other
Absolutely fuming my husband stayed here recently and had his motorbike stolen in broad daylight from the carpark. He witnessed it and gave chase. He found the staff on shift at that time not sympathetic or helpful. Had to leave early because of the theft and not even offered a refund. Definitely will not be visiting again!!
Good clean and comfortable rooms ideal for a short break or somewhere to stay without breaking the bank. Always an eating establishment next door or close by to get a bite to eat in the daytime/evening or a breakfast in the morning.
Good few nights stay, friendly staff, helpful and courteous.Room comfortable and clean.
Lovely friendly hotel really recommend the cooked breakfast was amazing one of the best iv had in a while staff was so lovely and friendly aswell
Room was immaculate. Staff were very friendly, and helpful whilst being very professional.
I found the staff realy helpful and perlite the rooms were clean as I find with all there hotels.we gad a breakfast there and it was fantastic cooked to perfection we just enjoy are they there .
Staff very friendly and professional.Rooms clean, nice bed linen.Good location for visiting area, close to main routes and town centre.
Great value very friendly helpfull staff and great breakfast .
Lovely clean helpful staff just one thing wrong was the pillows so flat and thin
Stayed one night. Convenient location with free parking for guests of Premier Inn. Reception staff were professional and helpful. Clean rooms, overall good value for money. Would definitely recommend.
I did not stay here very long as was late checking in (10:30pmand early checking out (08:30the next morning, but for the little time I was ls there there were no problems with the room or staff. Its central to everything I needed and of in the area again would not hesitate to book in again.
Last nights reception staff was lovely; this morning the lady on reception was much less helpful and made me feel very unwelcome. However, a nice clean room and very convenient for James Cook hospital. Next to a Toby carvery which made dinner and breakfast easy peasy. Checkout 12 which is great.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car park is great. Enough spaces for everyone.
was greeted as soon as i arrived and the booking went smoothly.room was clean and tidy if not slightly dated.had a good nights sleep.
Nice and comfy met all needs room cleanBreakfast good staff nice
Is exactly what is says in the tin...I use this hotel for sports events taken place at the Middlesbrough Sport Village... About 10 minutes walk or a couple of minutes in the car.
Up to the usual standards, friendly helpful staff and the pub next door is pretty good as well, they serve gluten free peroni which always goes down well with the missus!
Usual standards of room. Staff very friendlyl and service excellent. Our 3rd stay here and always a good one
What an absolutely brilliant hotel. Lady at the front was lovely and got me booked in right away. Room was clean and big.
Very clean hotel. Very lovely breakfast staff.Breakfast.. super hot and fresh. Coffee machine excellent. 10/10.
Good value and clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is ok, but anything other than a fried egg seems to be a struggle!Would and will use again as breakfast isnt a deal breaker for me.
Ideally would like to give it 4.5, pleasant staff and convenient for James Cook Hospital. Only loses 0.5 due to odd persistent meat smell in the stairwell.
I am a wheelchair user, upon arrival I found I was able to park right away in the disabled parking area, when I got out of my vehicle and into reception area the staff were so welcoming, looked like staff where on a changeover, they all greeted me and the staff could not have done any more for me during my stay, the room was very clean, the staff took a chair out for me, as it was not so easy to maneuver my wheelchair around the room, I managed though and just took time maneuvering, plug socket next to bed rather low but reachable from being on the bed, just a single socket so I couldnt use it for more items together, ie CPAP machine, electric wheelchair charger and phone charger, but its made me realise to always pack a 4 way extension lead within my luggage for further travelling.. I WILL return to this Premier Inn for sure, as like I said so very accommodating to me nothing was too much for them, and overall a very pleasurable stay, I stayed 3 nights and ALL staff such a pleasure, there are nearer places to stay for the venue I needed to be at during the days, but Id rather return and stay here and know Im well looked after than go to another place and struggle, besides the 15/20 min drive was okay to do and was easy so yeah this Premier Inn superb and I will be returning in February and hopefully I can get multiple rooms for many of the others to stay as well..Thank you to you ALL.. much appreciated
Best Premier Inn breakfast I have had. Denise and staff did you proud. In house not in pub next door.... Goody dippy eggs all freshly prepared
Friendly staff.Room could have been a bit cleaner as wet mark stains running down wall. Crumbs left on shelf next to wardrobe.. Bathroom a bit tatty where chip board been removed. No hand wash or shower gel. Noisy through adjoining door from other guest. No tv as mast was down and would be for a time. Maybe premier inns should consider connecting to Sky for this period.
We have booked a family room 2 adults 2 children, I have never seen a room so small before. Ground floor and if we opened the only one window we had, there were people standing outside smoking cigarette and cannabis and the smoke coming inside the room and the foul language. Terrible experience 😪.
It’s a Premiere Inn so you know what to expect. This one is no different from others e.g. room comfortable but a bit smelly. However, all the staff were very friendly, breakfast was nice and location is good.
Booked in easy nice and friendly at reception all information needed was given in a good understanding manner, restaurant staff was good, helpful, chatty and friendly. The rooms was clean but basic would stay at a Premier Inn Hotel again 😊
We stayed here a few nights whilst exploring the North East Coast - Not much to say really. It is what it is...A Premier Inn and it does exactly what it says on the tin. No bath in the family room though but the shower was great!
Dated...small family roomBathroom shabby..no outlet for steam from shower ..so everything constantly wet.Breakfast good. Staff friendly.But...the worse heat in the room ..28 degrees most nights.Made me feel sick...and unable to sleep. No cool air ..no nothing just a small fan that did nothing.!!
Decent premier Inn but can get warm in summer months. Nice pub outside and close to Stewarts park and opposite major hospital which often gets a helicopter arriving if you are into that sort of thing.
Lovely stay. One of the staff who I think may have been the manager held reception together as well as breakfast in the restaraunt, very efficient and welcoming wonderful member of staff definitely a credit.
Very hot on the covid protocols. Felt safe. Everything very clean and comfortable. Unable to adjust the room temperature down from 19 degrees was only bad point. Meant sleeping with the window open.
Stayed 4 nights, 1st night we were next to the lift(207so asked to be moved which they did with no hassle to 210, very nice room with great shower, still covid restrictions in place so we changed our towels as and when, and got supplies from reception or room maid.
I admit to being nervous about our first stay away since covid appeared. I had no need to worry. Its all taken very seriously. Reception and breakfast staff were so friendly and helpful. They looked out for each other re covid measures, but all was very simple. Thanks to all the staff. The room was clean and tidy. All good.
Highly recommend this place Travelled up 2hrs on Monday to visit my very poorly sister in hospital, had booked accommodation in advance but turned out to be a scam and had nowhere to stay once I got there. This Premier Inn was fully booked but been 8oclock at night and having a young child and a baby they managed to give us a room. We stopped here for 2 nights and the staff were amazing. From the receptionists to the breakfast staff, they all went above and beyond for us and made our stay the best it could be given the circumstances. They all deserve massive praise cant thank them enough for everything they did for us ❤️❤️
Very friendly and warm staff from the receptionists to the cleaners. Probably one of the best hotel services Ive had which is saying a lot for a small hotel in the middle of Middlesbrough. The breakfast was excellent and home cooked by a lovely chef.
You cant go wrong staying in a Premier Inn, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff here are getting to know us, and we enjoy a bit of banter with them. Breakfast here is very nice, freshly cooked and piping hot. Stayed twice and definitely stay again
I would like to thank all the staff for making my stay so good last week when I stayed for five nights while my husband was undergoing major heart surgery at James Cook hospital. Everyone was friendly, extremely helpful and very understanding. My room on 1st floor was very safe, extremely clean and indeed comfortable and spacious. The shower was a good size and the bed was just great. I did feel it was overpriced but unfortunately my unexpected stay was over the Easter weekend and I was so pleased that all I had to do was cross the road to the hospital to be there at visiting times. The staff are a credit to the company - well done!!
The staff are very good. A young women behind the counter was fantastic with me. But this place is way overpriced. £72 a night gets you a good bed which is good, but thats it. The TV is tiny. No bath. Shower with very basic shower gel that didnt smell nice. No fridge. Its a hotel but you can pay less than half the price and get the same elsewhere.
