Regent St, Luton LU1 5FA, Luton
This informal hotel in a commercial area is a 9-minute walk from Luton train station, 6 minutes walking from The Mall Shopping Centre and 12 minutes on foot from The Galaxy entertainment complex.Straightforward rooms feature tea and coffeemaking facilities, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Family rooms add pull-out sofas. There's a laid-back restaurant serving hot breakfast (free for up to 2 kids; restrictions apply). There's also meeting space. Parking is included.
I have been for 1 night and I noticed from the beginning that the bathroom has very bad smell.
Easy access to the airport and train station. Good for preflight stay.
Great hotel to stay in with good proximity to Luton Airport, had to stay here after a cancelled flight. Night manager was brilliant, going above and beyond to make sure that we had a good stay. Making sure breakfast was early so we could eat, and chasing up the taxi company to get to the airport etc.
Very disappointed, the staff and food were loverly but the hotel is dated and in need of modernising, and no we didnt have a good nights sleep.
Its a Premier Inn, it does what it says.I stayed here for 3 weeks while working in Luton. The staff are very friendly, probably the friendliest staff Ive ever met at a Premier Inn.The rooms could do with a lick of paint but are clean and comfy.Car park next door is an NCP one, which is free if staying at the hotel, just get your ticket validated. Spotted a couple of homeless people sleeping in the stairwells, but if thats an issue I wouldnt go to Luton! The restaurant serves a small menu, food is decent enough. Service can be a bit slow at times, and it seemed to be down to a lack of kitchen staff. But yet again the staff were very friendly.Overall, a decent Premier Inn, there are better, but the staff more than make up for what the hotel lacks.
I had 3 nights there. Quiet tricky with late check-in: on website they ask to inform if youre arriving after 11PM but there are not e-mail address to send that info (would be easier if let mark this during booking process).I got to the hotel after midnight (because of delayed flight), got to my room. Found running water in the toilet, went down to the reception (as there are no phone in room). And there was nobody. Just a sign that reception will open 3PM. Saw somebody in darkness (in the Restaurant area), guy called the receptionist and my room was quickly changed. But I am not sure what would happen if you arrive 2 oclock in the night or so...Room is OK. Good size. Not sure about longer stay because not so much space to hang or store the clothes. Tea & coffee for two, working TV, hairdryer - all simple & easy to use.Value for price? Not sure - would need to check other hotels around to compare.
Typical prem, but reasonable service decent breakfast and the Thyme restaurant not too bad either. Just outside the town centre on the wrong side of the inner ring road and need to go through underpass to get into centre. About quarter of an hours walk from the railway station. Rooms clean and comfortable, staff approachable and obliging.
Nice and tidy, the restaurant looked after us well. And only a hundred a something yards/metres from the shopping centre.
Stained bedding, cobwebs, stained carpets, room wasnt cleaned whilst we were out, food was disgusting, have tried to contact premier inn, still awaiting a reply. NOTHING PREMIER ABOUT THIS PLACE.
I didnt stay over but called in for breakfast with family. The young lad who was running the restaurant called Callum was very helpful and attentive. He was most helpful helping me with getting my breakfast I am disabled and was on hand to fetch and carry items for me. Although we arrived near to breakfast finishing the food was hot and everything was still available. The restaurant was lovley and clean Would most definitely return again
Small rooms for 2 people but were very clean and in a nice location
Stayed on Saturday, for one night and dined in. The staff were excellent. Friendly, helpful, cheerful & courteous. They really made the difference.
The lady on the front desk was so lovely and enthusiastic, really nice to see.Rooms were comfy and clean 😊
Great friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, tasty breakfasts and no hassle to get you what you want if no more available on the day
Hired a meeting room, seemed a surprise to the many new staff. Had to find the "included" equipment rather than being shown how to set it up. Ideal location for meeting guests coming in to Luton Airport. Included tea/coffee was locked away in the afternoon as we had been forgotten - staff thought we had left!
A really convenient place to stay right in the centre of Luton. The staff are friendly and helpful and if you book ahead prices are very good with free parking if you take your ticket to the hotel reception staff.
So first couple of night great service, dejon & charles top quality, unusual hotel as they bought this off the Days inn chain so it has its own kitchen & bar! Paul the chef is great takes pride and thats all you can ask for, empty plate every time. There is more power in my tears than the shower, no bath either. I was on 3rd floor.Internet kicks you out every 15mins, so no gaming on the ps.Asked for sheets to be changed, due to very hot night, got fresh towels but no new sheets. On the plus side i got a complimentary drink coz they had no nan bread and one for a small service error.Best premier inn ive ever stayed in despite the little bits, really comfy and staff all brilliant.United beat liverpool and I just saw a service dog that spoke!! It said love you for a buiscuit, things are happening!Car park is secure and next door, town is 2mins walk, shops close by, and your right on the main dual carriageway for easy access.
Stayed here 2 nights very comfortable and clean staff very helpful
Great hotel, nice clean tidy rooms and free parking thrown in to.
Clean overall and quiet. Central location. Didnt tried the lunch/dinnerThe person at reception was very welcoming
Nice location. Comfortable room. Easy parking
The staff were excellent, attentive and good humoured.Breakfast and dinner food was good too.It made for an enjoyable stay.
Worst premier inn I have stayed in, and I have stayed in most. I usually book them for thier consistency. This one falls well below par for service, quality of stay, area, noise and food. I really would book an alternative if I were you. Just well below par.
Thank you for the excellent service Ani (from the night shifts, I hope I spelt your name right!Somebody give this lovely lady a well deserved promotion!
Stayed here for two week for work purposes I have to say one of the best premier Inn I have stayed in a long time , friendly and up beat staff who are easy to approach and have a banter With. Room was perfect ac worked which was a bonus (was a hot 2weeksroom was big enough to walk around and will definitely come back in the future
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, also had a good night sleep, bed really comfortable
Was purely there only briefly as it was a business meeting . But with very welcoming reception staff. The restaurant area looked very clean, so next time I wont be in so much of a rush.Sorry Im not more help this time.
Arrived slightly early but our rooms were ready. The receptionist reallocated the rooms so we were on the same floor. we arrived Sunday 12th june at 2.45. We did not get the receptionist name BUT very helpful and he served us at the bar later. The next morning on checking out we needed to use the luggage store and again very helpful- Dejon I think. room Ok. bed a bit squeeky but I had a good nights sleep. Shower was a bit strange as I managed to get the floor really wet. will stay again
We were helped by Dejon, who was very polite and friendly throughout, also our meal was excellent by chef paul 👍, I would definitely recommend this Premier Inn..
Near to airport, parking next door.We had a slight misshap around rooms, when we arrived at 6 am rather jet lagged. We were sent to a room which required a deep clean and furniture incineration (not the hotels fault), smelt of cigarettes. We were the sent to another room, whilst I made the bed settee, I handed the staff member the cigarette lighter from under my childs mattress. Whilst she informed me how good housekeeping were and thats why she couldnt locate the right sized bedding. The room only had towels for one person, there was no preparation made for our visit, though we had booked several hours before hand.If I was not so jet lagged and with a tired child, I would have left. However, we were exhausted. The morning manager, was extremely apologetic and very courteous, she couldnt do enough to ensure we were comfortable. Which we do appreciate. We were not meant to be assigned the original room this was a mistake and mistakes happen, it was rectified. So theres no issue in this regard. However,, there would appear to be some inconsistencies with housekeeping in this specific premier inn, I have usually found them cleaned to a high standard until now.
Lovely place there was some noisy people but soon as we told staff the staff dealt with it, also you can see some planes flying up from the airport. phone signal is sketchy, I’d book this hotel cause it’s close to where we need to be and the rooms are clean.
Booked this hotel as it was close to where we needed to be. Rooms are clean, only a selective tv channels. So would need a amazon stick or laptop to watch more choices. Data is sketchy. Staff are pleasant. Had a few problems with one of the guests who were making a racket! Once reception knew it was dealt with in presuming as we never heard them the next day x
All as expected for a budget hotel. Freeview needs sorting out. Recomend using upgraded wifi of you are going to stream
Hotel was new but we attended on one of the hottest days of the year in 2020.We were told the AC had broken down, and therefore the rooms were like hot boxes, and youd breaking into a sweat within minutes. We had a total of 6 rooms, and we were only offered 3 fans in total.I understand its not the hotels fault the AC broke, but I would expected at least some form of alternative fans for each room, as the AC had broken days before our arrival, and yet still there was a lack of alternative measures put in place to help resolve this. The room was simply unbearable at night, thank god we only needed to stay just the one night.
Very helpful polite staff in breakfast bar. I dropped in for breakfast as I had long wait to catch a flight. Great value
Room was very small. No sockets at the side of the bed like in all other Premier Inns weve stayed in. There was supposed to be a proper shower chair, which turned out to be a drop down plastic shelf and if you put any weight on it, you thought it would collapse. The bed was far to low. One of the lifts wouldnt stop at our floor and the heating wasnt working on our floor. The evening meal was very nice but extra drinks were very expensive. The one thing that we were both looking forward to was the cooked breakfast but it was very greasy, the friend eggs werent cooked properly and it was luke warm and I couldnt eat it. My partner said the coffee was tepid too. There is no car parking at the hotel but there is an NCP car park next door which guests can use and get their ticket validated in the hotel. As my partner and I are disabled and have severe mobility issues, the fact that we ended up having to park several floors up and the lift was out of order, so we had to walk down lots of flights of concrete stairs and the hand rails were metal and absolutely freezing to hold onto. If you are an able bodied person then the hotel is probably fine but I wouldnt recommend it if your disabled.
Good location for visiting town or using airport. Parking included in room cost unlike the Brache branch where they charge £6 parking on top.Comfortable rooms; decent shower; Thyme restaurant pleasant. Staff friendly and helpful.
Decent service in restaurant apart from one of the female staff not really wanting to engage. Common courtesy is to ask how your meal is.We didnt get a peep, very unprofessional in my eyes.Shame really
We Stayed there this weekend we has a great experience clean, friendly hotel ,shower lovely an hot ! With a big fan to cool us down , staff more than helpful nothing a bother , Breakfast beautiful an loads off selection to choose from , will be back again in the summer for sure well worth the money ..
Staff were fine, free parking is good. My room was definitely below-par from other Premier Inns Ive stayed in. Used the bottle opener in the room and it left rust-stains on the lip of my bottle, so that wasnt great!
Friendly, welcoming managers. We were there on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day nights. Only continental breakfast was available on Christmas Day (which some people were disappointed atbut full breakfast returned the next day. Room was fine too. Would go again if the opportunity arises.
This hotel is centrally located so you can walk into Luton town in 2 mins, plus free parking on the NCP next door (well lit and seemed secure). The hotel has been revamped with self check in (actually worked!and new rooms. There’s no premier plus rooms but the standards have the newer concept with nicer furniture, plus a sofa bed, and nicer bathrooms which made it a nice stay. Staff were relent friendly. Only let down was breakfast. The cooked part wasn’t up to the usual PI standards. Also, several of the TV channels weren’t working. Otherwise it was a good stay and would stay again.
Great hotel experience without the extra cost. The room had everything we needed and the walk in shower was perfect. Free carparking in the NCP right next door. Polite and friendly staff. We didnt use it but there is a good restaurant on site with good choice and prices.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms. Free car parking if you park in the ncp car park next door. Pretty quiet too. Town is a 2 minute walk away. Well worth a try.
Hotel staff were super nice. Could see how stressed and tired my mum and i were and didnt dilly-dally about. Made us smile and laugh.Lovely, clean and spacious rooms too. Definitely recommend
Hasnt mini fridge, and in web site you book and there say your breakfast is included, when I did check-in the reception man just gave me the key card and Doesnt told me nothing about breakfast but gave me a paper with the breakfast time,so I imagined I can usurped that, but in the next day morning, I awoke and gone to breakfast area, and there Hasnt my name, so I needed pay for that, I suggest let know in advanced on check-in for the next guests . However, good location, couch and bed very comfortable ,everything cleaned, has fan
The hotel room was not that good very dark and dismal and the carpet was dirty. But the manageress was fantastic and so hospitable when my brother was ill on the day we should have booked out. We had to wait for a paramedic to see him. Thank you so much you were so kind and thank you for your hospitality. You know who you were.
Booked twin room, would have preferred 2× double / 3/4 beds rather than King and single, never-the-less slept well.Nice hot shower.Buffet breakfast was tasty despite a few reductions in Pre-Covid menu.Staff were very friendly and helpful in rectifying cleaners failure to supply towels.Room and communal areas where clean and tidy.
Check in was really easy and staff were so friendly throughout the visit. The location could not be more convenient and it was handy to park the car for free at the ncp car park next door (tickets validated by a machine at reception). I only stayed for one night and was on the 1st floor, but the floor was very quiet so had no issues with any noisyness. Few points knocked off for cleanliness however, as there were a few hairs left in the bathtub, sticky bathroom floor, and marks on the bedsheets. If I was staying longer Id have asked for a different room, but given how friendly staff were I doubt this would have been an issue for them.
This is a very comfortable hotel with everything that you may need. Great room with bath and overhead shower. A really comfortable bed too. Staff are very polite and eager to please. Manda was especially helpful with her local knowledge. There is a reduced food menu, you can choose to dine in the restaurant or in your room. Some traffic noise of an evening but not excessive. A great nights sleep nevertheless.
