357 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013, United States, Los Angeles
Spacious, brick-lined gay bar with lively events, cocktails & a small menu of American grub.
Thank you for taking care of me and my boyfriend.
I love this place,, the drinks, the atmosphere, the bartenders and other employees. It has such a nice vibe compared to pretentious WeHo. I love the djs, music and drag shows, all 5 stars and top shelf! Excellent place for dancing and they have a nice outdoor balcony area overlooking LA, truly magical in my experience.
Definitely my go-to spot on Friday nights. The drinks aren’t overpriced, and the DJs are always on point with the song choices. The bartenders are friendly. People that are drinking tend to like cutting in lines, but I’ve noticed the bartenders knowing exactly who got there first lol
Clearly, this place is more suited for the cliche gays with disposable income. Overpriced cover, overpriced drinks, and overpriced parking. It is surprisingly spacious inside; I’ll give it that.
this place is always fun - good crowd, great drag shows and friendly service. The music is good too, especially all the Latino music which you can actually dance to!
Had a terrible time on a Friday night. It was my first time there and I didnt know there was a cover charge for the drag show happening inside (which was a total letdown btw). The front desk person stamping peoples arms was rude to me as if I was expected to know all the rules of the place The crowd was okay and the beer was okay too. Bartender was good and the beer was cheap at $5. Dont know how it is on other nights of the week.
I had a great experience 😃😃😃😃 iand enjoy my experience.happy happy happy enjoy pride.also included in this also happy birthday to me too enjoy yourself have fun and been having dinner a review since Mickeys dance company! Ill be going back maybe this weekend again back please and I loved it enjoyed myself downtown LA
Its in downtown LA, the weekends are ok if you dont want to travel to west Hollywood
First time here with my friend and we really enjoyed our night here, it was my birthday and I felt so happy with the ambiance, music, people and the dance floor. It was memorial weekend so it did get very packed but over all a fun experience! I hope to be back soon.
This is a great place to have a great time and there food is really good too
Went this Saturday for my 1st time. Was crazy busy. Great place lots of Fun. Ill be back this weekend. Awesome shows & Music. Friendly Bartender & staff.
Friends and I traveled from Florida to come here and see our favorite Drag queens perform. We stood in line for almost two hours. When we got to the door security wouldn’t let us in because my ID was expired. A bit of context; I am not a citizen and if you know the system you know it can take up to 6 months to get an ID back. I tried to present other ID to explain the situation but I was shut down. I understand rules but to every rule there’s an exception. I just think if TSA accepted my ID and I was able to travel from one coast to the next then security could have at least asked a manager if they’d be willing to make an exception. I’d even be happy with a no if there was some proving done.
One of the best places in downtown LA
Horrible place do not recommend this place at all they do not accept lgbtq at all
I had a fun time going solo last night, cheap cover $9 and beer was $6, for example in SFO last week cover was $15 and beer $8 while the show was meh.The crowd was welcoming and I didn’t felt out of place, felt very secure inside too.
So. Much. Fun !!!Definitely the best gay venue in central LA
Its a good time, but after just becoming a weekly regular I had to stop going 4 weeks ago because theyre no longer requiring proof of vaccination at the door. I work in healthcare with people going into surgery, so itd be immoral for me to attend. The place was becoming a weekly favorite, so Im pretty disappointed. I guess its back to the crawl and Ill eventually find somewhere else.
The bouncer was awful and rude and didnt let me in after waiting an hour in line...
Favorite bar in LA. Only thing that bothers me is that, theyre okay with cigarettes on their balcony but not marijuana even though marijuana is way less deadly for you and legal in California.. dj is always great and the bartenders are amazing. They make great drinks and you should definitely take whatever recommendation they offer you if they offer one.
Always a great time at Precinct! From generous drink pours to exceptionally welcoming crowd to vibrant shows, Precinct is the place to be. Highly recommend if you’re not sure what type of night you’re looking for as they have different sections with varying vibes. Definitely my favorite spot in LA.
Absolutely love this bar in downtown, and always recommend checking this place out for newcomers and visitors to LA. Great bartenders, fair prices, awesome events and entertainment, and a gem for queer nightlife outside of WeHo. The drag events that get thrown here are top notice.I wish the music on the dance floor was a bit lower though, as a few times Ive forgotten my sound dampeners, Ive left with ringing ears for several days. Definite hearing damage for everyone :(
Staff is rude and slow. Waited 20 mins in line. Then waited 30 mins in line with a slow bartender to get drinks, then they told everyone to leave at 1:45 and didnt let anyone use the bathroom. They close at 2 am and I had ample time to use the bathroom and leave by then. Take your business elsewhere
Love going to the place once in awhile when I find time to, the bartenders are a good time very social group of guys Damous was one of the guys I met sweet guy and welcoming. I tend to do things alone but having somebody be open to chat and.introduce you to his group of friends is refreshing. Thanks guys I will definitely be returning
One of the best pints of Guinness in the city (though thats not saying much, as Ive found it hard to get one poured right in the States). The upstairs is cool too, with its pool tables and darts. Crowd consists mostly of locals, and the bartenders are pretty cool. Good conversation bar before the crowds on the weekend.
Gay bar at dtla. Great for LGBTQ crowds and girls night out! Has performance occasionally and big space to talk and sit.
“Beware before you check a personal item in”Hey guys and girls, where should I start. This venue is great, the music and the people always have a positive five. And the show is pretty great. But no warning, don’t bring a jacket coat etc. the coat check is extremely irresponsible. They lost the jacket of mine, and after the night of the incident they assured me they would replace it or compensate me. It being a brand new jacket. Of course I’ve never heard back from them I have called numerous times never to hear from them. So customer beware! You check your personal item at your own risk
Im vegetarian so I got the pak tay po, which is basically tofu and some vegetables in yellow curry (menu says red, but I think they were out). Overall ok but nothing special, next time Id rather get a noodle dish and ask for it without meat. Our table got the roti as an appetizer which was fantastic! Also pretty good thai tea and decent service.
Door nazi wouldn’t accept a photocopy of a U.K. passport as ID. Who would risk losing their actual passport on a night out?! So we went elsewhere, and fortunately other bars in town were much friendlier.
Love this place. Took my best friend for her bachelorette party dinner with 15 women. We definitely got great service, FOOD and WINE! Will definitely come back. The crowd is awesome too . It was a perfect place to have dinner for birthdays and bachelorette parties.Merci Beaucoup!!
For coming out of the closet fairly recently, this bar is a nice place since the people are lowkey and the place provides a calm atmospher in the day time. My favorite night here is on Saturday since I love dancing and seeing the GoGo dancers heat up the place. Also, they provide relatively low cost meals.
Rude doorman asking for I.D. Yes one of us forgot it but we are 38 and 45! I understand there are rules, we are from Berlin so yes it’s different, but then to be told “Welcome to America “. Was a bit rude and condescending. So obviously not worth it! I Will recommend everyone stay away!
My most visited gay bar in downtown, next to Redline. Now that Mattachine closed Precinct remains even more treasured! Queen Kong on Fridays & Trivia night on Tuesdays are m ut favorite.
I loved this place. It’s a huge space with multiple different room. We came for queen Kong with the boulet brothers which was amazing. The drinks were reasonably priced. It had a really fun mixed crowd and the drag shows were epic.
I really enjoy coming to this place. Honestly. So much so that I’ve even brought my own mother and sister along on a recent trip here! We all had a great time and I love the diverse group of people that go there! A little bit of everything for everyone. The vibe is chill and the drinks are strong (our Paloma’s were fuego and we had a few)! Look forward to coming back here soon :-D
My favorite gay bar in Los Angeles. Drag queens, and dancing, and bear nights, oh my! Strong drinks, large dance floor, open early enough to hang around earlier in the day. They serve food too. Best times with my friends are dancing and drinking here. Always cute guys here too, dont know how that works.
If youre looking for a LGBT dive bar downtown, this is the place. Fun to stop by but maybe not spend your whole night here. It is located on the second floor upon taking the stairs (which by the way is as dive-y and dark as the venue itself). Some nights have cover so its good to call beforehand. Drinks are cheap for downtown standards. They also serve food at reasonable prices. I had the gravy fries with chicken and that was bomb. Went here to watch a screening of rupauls drag race but it was too crowded so you could barely understand a word of the episode.
Our favorite bar in DTLA! Its the largest LGBT bar in downtown and caters primarily to bears. The staff is very friendly and both the staff and clientele are easy on the eyes! I usually go Sunday afternoons, but Saturday nights can be amazing. I definitely recommend visiting this bar when in the neighborhood.
I loved this bar till my horrible experience last night 1/6/18 .My partner of one year and I where celebrating our first date anniversary ( yes we had our first date at the precinct so we invited a few friends for a fun night out. Later on in the night the bar manager decided to tell us to leave due to a previous failed business transaction with a previous tenant who so happens to be a bar back there . I am very confused over it since its a place of business to the public . I started going to this bar when it just opened and without causing any valuable reason the manager took it upon himself to make it personal by throwing me in my party out of the bar. This is completely discriminating.Ive been a healthcare professional serving the gay community and to the HIV community for the last 8 years and this is the type of respects and professionalism we where given last night.I am very disappointed with the Managers poor judge of character.Petty !
Beware!! If you have never gone into a gay bar, dont do it! The worst mistake of my life! As a general rule, the people who go here are mean in spirit, with no respect for others, or even themselves!! At their they are evil at best!! Dont let the name fool you? Im not crazy, just incognito!! These people are much too dangerous to let them get an inclinge of who I am!! Proceed cautiously!!
Loved this place because its big and cute . love the outdoorsey feel .. Bartenders are like whatevs ..I just hate that they charge . Im pretty sure its because of the gogo dancers(which are cocky and unfriendlyor because of the performers which i don care about . the place is beautiful tho..
I Enjoy this bar a whole lot.Its a large space. 2 dance floors.Very large outside inside covered patio.I know the owners and there really greatGo you youll have a great time.
LOVE IT! DTLA!? SHUT UP! The outdoor area is so genius (above street leveland very popular. Some of the best bartenders Ive ever met in the city ended up HERE! Lots of space and the music is NUTS! I never leave the dance floor in dry clothes here! There is something for EVERYONE here- mean that!
My first time here was Saturday. Theyre open early and serve regular bar food. They have puppet go-go dancers, which are funny and creepy, depending on where youre standing. Good music selection and awesome location. Huge space. Oh and they have gender neutral restrooms.
One of the best gay bars in LA. Its a big place which is fun to explore and its a welcoming, unpretentious crowd. The last time I went my friend and I were short the cash for entrance and the door lady put in two bucks for us. When have you ever heard of that happening, especially in LA?
Its very casual. Its nice to see older chunky hairy men (bearsdancing in their jockstrap beards and beer bellies!!! There is a place in this diverse world for everyone. Even those going thru their second midlife crisis (lol)!)
The Gay Club experience in DTLA. Came on a Wednesday and it was dead. But Ive been told Queen Kong Fridays and weekends are party times with admission prices of $7+? Staff are friendly and bartenders are heavy pourers. Looking forward to check this place out on a weekend.
One of my favorite places to go out in LA! Friday and Saturday nights are always lit--plus different shows/events during the week. NOT the "West Hollywood scene"....thank Goddess! Good ppl, good happy hour, always good entertainment!
An excellent upstairs bar with a gorgeous outdoor patio circling the place, very awesome decor and interior, great music, drinks are fantastic and well priced, theres a large room in back home to both a DJ booth/dance floor and a stage for Drag shows and local theatre. Ill revise to include details about the kitchen on my next visit and if you come here do yourself a favor and check if Blake is in. Excellent bar tender, hell take care of ya and be sure to ask for his Acid Betty if youre in the mood for something sour but sweet.
I felt like I left LA and landed in a different gay culture. Great space. Lots of different rooms. Clientele totally not your WeHo/Silverlake crowd. Go for the drinks and the refreshing atmosphere.
I never write reviews but my experience was that bad. Paid a cover to attend this poorly ventilated bar. Waited almost 30 mins to get a drink. Bartender served MULTIPLE people who came after me. Awful experience. Will not be returning.
