Basic enough food coffee half full.

Had lovely meals two weeks in a row -- love the chicken wraps delicious
Food fab..lovely bar..
Could be a bit more friendly and relaxed atmosphere
The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were pleasant and professional so no fault lies with them.In short, the food gives the impression that its bought in bulk and thrown into a freezer, then thrown into the oven whenever someone orders it. Every item of food is severely overcooked and without any type of seasoning. At length:I had the pan fried salmon with mango & scallion salsa, white wine veloutΓ©, rice, and veg of the day. The salmon was tough, leathery, and tasteless. The mango and scallion salsa was some mango, a lot of bell pepper and red onion, and no scallion. The white wine veloutΓ© (described as the "mother of sauces" in French cuisinewas lumpy and tasteless. The rice was either Boil In A Bag, or prepared poorly enough to taste like it. The "veg of the day" was carrots, green beans, cauliflower, and broccoli, all of which were steamed to death and also without any sort of seasoning. My partner had the vegan sandwich, which was supposed to be roasted veg with mayo on sourdough bread. The actual sandwich was steamed, overcooked, mushy, unseasoned veg with mayo on tough, tasteless bread reminiscent of Communion wafer.Very, very disappointing considering the pricing. The quality of the food represents an unenthusiastic kitchen.
Fast and professional service. Very nice atmosphere. Lamb stew and apple pie 10/10. I definitely recommend.

Just love the Temple Gate Hotel forComfort, food and friendly staff.
Lovely cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fast service. Highly recommended
I usually avoid hotel bars, but this one is terrific. They even participate in the Trad Fest when it is in town. Dont avoid this place. The food and drinks are great.
Kind stuff and lovely atmosphere. ..food was delicious. Highly recommended
Its okay, wouldnt go here again. Seems to be geared towards an older crowd. Would say 60+. Trad music, trad food, trad drinks. Basic. The architecture looks amazing in pics online but in person it is a lot less impressive and more run down
Great staff very friendly, good food!
Nice old style pub friendly service but slow at times. Lucking the ambiente of little music therefore no private conversations and Internet and phones are dead. As usual TV units with no sound just kinda wrong.
Good food and good value . Great service .
Nice pub in Temple Gate Hotel. The bar food is beyond fantastic. One of Irelands best up and coming chefs works here. This place deserves to be on the Michellin Star list. πππππ
Always good food and nice atmosphere
Outstanding staff food is just amazing highly recommended it
Good Guinness and good food. The live music can be great also. Visit here whenever Im home. Location in an old church is also unique.
My god where to begin, well to start with I had to go down to the bar 30 mins after arriving to see if I could get a menu. When I got said menu I was asked twice where I was seated and on the second telling the barman just scoffed. When a waitress came to take my order there was no hello no pleasantries other than "What do you want ?" When another waitress came with my drink it was so forcefully placed onto my table it began to spill. Which then brings me to the food, now all in all the food was good however there was far too much garnish and not enough of the actual meal. All in all severely underwhelmed and disappointed.
Lovely food and staff, central location
Food: when its good its great. It seems to depend on whos working because its not very consistent. If you go there on a good day your in for a great value treat. On another day you may leave unimpressed..
Excellent food and service. Atmosphere great and very friendly as you would expect
Good service. Good xhoices of food and drink. Clean, lively and it has parking.
This will probably be my one and only visit, since I live in America, but it was one of the best meals I had in Ireland. The Traditional Irish Stew was excellent. The lamb was very tender and it was overall a very flavorful dish.
Phenomenal food. Great staff! Beautiful pub.
A nice cosy little pub attached to the temple gate Hotel. A little expensive to be used by the local population much but OK if your at the hotel already.
Good food and good service.Normal pub prices instead of restaurant prices.Quick service.Friendly staff, but if it gets busy they get overwhelmed and start delivering wrong orders to wrong tables.
