Prasowy in Warsaw
Description
Privilege
Most cheapest place to have Polish cousine in center, during apply for Residence permit card
Morealrighty guys and girlsthe interior design is unique, iconic etc. etc. blah blahBUT the food is literally the same as any Mleczarnia milk bar (with a cow logo)its not bad overall but I expected a little more. welp its just a better decorated Mleczarnia
MoreService is non-existent, so expect to expect none. Bar mleczny is where you go to work for your food, like in Auschwitz, but you are welcome to leave, whenever you want. The attitudes of the women behind the counter is enough to make you lose your appetite. They couldnt be bothered to even attempt politeness. If you like Polish communist dehumanization, check out the lovely selection of these "venues" throughout the city. Some, like this one, have been somewhat modernized and have started to look like a typical Americanized fast food outlet. Very sad to see that the interesting culture of the past, the only thing of value, aside from the food, itself, that bar mleczny offered, has been sacrificed to hide the lack of interest in the customer. Have I mentioned that the food is actually good and fresh? Its also about 1/2 to 1/3 the price of similar food in a normal restaurant or coffee shop. If you dont speak polish, however, youll end up eating what they choose, so bring a friend, for safety.
MoreClassic oldschool, low budget dining, yet still tasty - not much has changed in this place since 1954 :Recommended for a quick bite.
MoreIncredible value for money. Classic Polish food at very low prices. Bilingual menu, The staff generally doesnt really speak English but is used to foreigners.
MoreOne of the best bar mleczny in warsaw.Picture in 22zt
Nice place for quick and healthy breakfast available in affordable price..Even some foods price starting from 5zl so its better to visit 😋
MoreA standout experience in the Warsaw culinary scene. Outstanding food at very reasonable prices with an interesting historical story. It has a delightful Polish / western Slavic menu with all the classics and then some. Do not miss out on the cold beetroot soup (“chlodnik”in the summer especially!
Moreone of the lady messed up my order by giving it to another client. the pierogi z kapusta i grzybami (cabbage and mushroomstasted off, the bacon and sour cream too. also the kompot was not good.
MorePolish fast food at good prices and decent quality. Pierogi (dumplingswith fried onions were very tasty.
MoreFirst thing that come to my mind is value for money. Meals are cheap and portions are not so big, but everything is fresh and tasty. There is no service and you have to do a bit more, but in the same time you can seat next to someone cool and famous. This place is with typical Polish food and for everyone. Keeps the spirit of old times.
MoreDelicious and inexpensive.
Its one of a kind of an experience.like the time stopped and we are in the sixties.its the best homeis food with the atmosphere of grendma.
MoreAll tourists new to Poland should try a Milk Bar. This location was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good prices, fast service, tasty traditional Polish food. Highly recommend.
MoreAn absolute staple of cheap and wholesome food. While they’re not breaking new ground here, and even if some classic dishes might suffer from a given cook’s unique take (DeVolaie with chicken stock and parsley, I’m looking at you), it’s still a quick, cheap and tasty option that’s been around for decades. Always opt for what’s on hand (menu items might take up to 15 minutes to prepareand come sooner rather than later, as the choices becomes limited past 2 p.m.
MoreReally modern and comfortable milk bar. The stuff can speak English and kind. The price is reasonable. If it’s not busy, they can prepare your meal in 10 minutes or something. The food is really tasty! Like other milk bar, you order your food and pay first. And even you don’t understand Polish, don’t worry. They have a monitor with numbers so you can see if your meal is ready. In the entrance, you can find hand sanitizer. Highly recommend!
MoreNot a real milk bar with the TV screens and prices. The lunch set deal is as expensive as other around but the food quality is even lower than other milk bars.. It wasnt terrible and the service is okay but thats it.
MoreGood traditional quisine with low prices, although it is more expensive than the standard milk bar.
MoreMany options.Good prices. 2xpierogi portion (10 pieces)+ tea+water= 58PLN. Great homemade taste.Employee can speak English. Unfortunately menu is only in Polish.
MoreSo delicious and at a very reasonable price. Nice staff and clean eating area. This place has not seen the last of me! (Shaking my fist approvingly)
MoreA place that you should try when visiting Poland and learn about its culture. This restaurant is famous for its cheap and traditional. You can find Polish food, their style dishes. However, this type of restaurant system only serves daily meals and I do not appreciate the quality of the food. If you want to try traditional Polish food with a more special service, then I recommend using another service from expensive restaurants. At this restaurant, every day there will be special dishes for that day. A full serving including starter, main course and dessert costs 29.9zl. This meal set can also fill your stomach already.
MoreVery good variety of food. I’m not local, but grew up with Polish cousin around, and some of the textures and tastes were a nice flash back. Made a few ordering errors due to the language barrier, but everything turned out good. Seemed to be always full with locals. Prices are great and everything is cheap.
MoreReally nice place, with great variety of polish dishes that are mostly good (with the exception of a bit cold potatoes I gotThe portions are big enough to fill even the most spacious stomach. Very nice and quick service. Interior design is aligned with the overall “milk bar” vibe, which adds to the positive experience.
MoreOne of the oldest milk bars in Warsaw, used to be popular with the local intelligentsia. (Relativelycheap and cheerful home cooking fare.
MoreDirt cheap, amazing food, big portion sizes and the staff are really nice.
Amazing milk bar which has been there since 1954.They have a bi-lingual menu which helped us immensly.I ordered spinach & feta pierogis with butter fried onions then potato pancakes with smoked cheese & cranberry sauce. My husband had a pork escalope with mashed potato which we shared. We then had a sweet rice dish with apples & sour cream.Wonderful food & experience.
Moretasty polish food for affordable prices.
Local cuisine, most common Polish dishes (soups, meat, pierogi, etc.and deserts (crepes, pancakes, apple pies), fairly cheap. Not all of the dishes that I ordered there were tasty, I would say 90% is ok and the rest 10% could be better.
MoreMy favorite milk bar in Warsaw. If they have schnitzel definitely get it. Otherwise you can’t go wrong with pierogis.
MoreVery reasonable prices for a nutritious and tasty home food. Interior is cozy and spacious
MoreWe had the lunch set baked chicken leg with mashed potato, pickle & compote and ordered another pumpkin soup. Its a very good lunch combo, esp the soup. Good food, good price.
MoreGreat food, friendly people who speaked english. Affortable.
It is the perfect place to eat local Polish food. It is very cheap. Servers do not speak English so ordering could be tricky. If you would like to have an experience of what local people eat on a normal day, this would be a perfect Milk bar to try. Food is made in traditional way - it is ok but nothing special, but worth visiting.
MoreGreat place for cheap, authentic, holmsome Polish food. Called here during a lovely autumn walk around the old town of Warsaw. Highly recommended for a wide selection of great quality dishes in a lovely atmosphere.
MoreReally quiet when I visited for dinner. Was not expecting it to be so empty.Met with some challenges conversing in English when we tried to to order around some items that were not available. But it all worked out in the end.Tasty and simple meals. I had the meatloaf with coleslaw and potatoes. Good place to experience what a milk bar is. Probably best to visit in the day rather than at night.
MoreGreat take away food options here.Typical Polish Milk bar with all the mod cons such as credit card accepting facilities.Dishes normally included a salad and a drink.Notes : they have an English menu on the door as you come in.
MoreI watched a YouTube video on the Prasowy Milk Bar so my wife and I went to experience the Milk Bar. We ordered perogies, potato pancakes, and lemonade. Luckily a guy in line with us spoke English and guided us through the menu. The meal was inexpensive, the people were friendly, and our meal was great. This is a nice local place with traditional food. Its not over the top, but I think it is the perfect spot for a local experience. Laid back, very social, and great portions of food.Just what I was looking for 😊
MoreGreat and very budget friendly place to try any kind of Polish cuisine. The location is awesome, go the park and then walk to here to enjoy a good breakfast or lunch. Must try beetroot soup.
Morelooks like a regular canteen. low prices. tasty food. workers only understand Polish (
MoreVery authentic place and perfect for finding cheap, delicious homey food. Chances are that the person ordering at won’t speak English but they were very helpful regardless. I had the traditional polish dumplings and they were delicious. 100% recommended.
MoreIf you want to experience traditional polish dishes this is great place to do so. We had some breakfast, and it was very tasty! They had menu in English as well, and offered some help with the choice. The only drawback is the kitchen smell - if you have a business meeting after your breakfast you will smell on fried eggs:prices very very affordable.
MoreQuick bite or with a group this place is great. Its inexpensive but good. Its a basic setup but great for lunch, eating by yourself, in a group or just passing through. They have many through out the city, they are called "milky bars.". Be ready to bus your own table!
MoreAwesome Polish food! Its a great place for lunch in amazingly decent price! Totally worth going!
MoreVery simple and traditional polish cuisine. Might not be the best but the atmosphere and price accompanied by the huge portion of food will were def impressive. Local families and people all around and great vibes. Menu isnt English but there are staffs that speaks English, didnt have problem getting my food.
MoreBest place to eat in Warsawa. Fantastic food at good prices
Good, cheap food in a diner-like style. You order at a counter (they always have at least 1 English-speaking staff member), get a buzzer, and wait till it buzzes and then pick up your dishes. Most dishes are around $2-3. Tomato soup and pierogis are all really good. Not the most high quality place in Warsaw but its pretty close to homemade food for those of us who grew up with Polish food.
MoreHad a great time here! It was wonderful to experience this authentic polish experience while being in Warsaw. Even as a foreigner who knows nothing about the local language, I was still able to order with enough ease. The English menu does not include prices, however, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Overall, the food was great, the prices were cheap, and I’d definitely go again!
MoreVery cheap and a lot of food (a huge plate of chicken, rice and salad is only 4€), but no waiters thus you have to carry your own plates. Food is dropped into the tables, not served nicely. A casual canteen, not a cafe.
MoreWas inexpensive food offered there, but English menu was without descriptions, bit hard to decide what to choose. Quite tasty though :)
MoreHome-cooking taste is the norm. Excellent food, self-service. Better bring your google translator, as the menu is not fully translated, but that is not a problem - it adds to the experience. Dont wory if they yell after you to pick up your order of Ruskie Pirogi :Do not miss this !
