Pram Beach Restaurant - Restaurant in Paraparaumu, New Zealand
Food is delicious and ambience very nice
The food was so good. Cant complain at all. Im always worried about ordering to much food but want to try everything. I can safely say, we didnt leave a scrap.
Taco night tonight , all 7 dollars ( normally 9 to 12. Plenty of choice including vegetarian options. Wine and local beers available. Well worth a visit. Friendly helpful staff too.
I rarely review restaurants. But when you find great Mexican food in NZ you post. My gosh. I have waited 6 months for this.Pro tip - flour tortillas on carne asada, get a side of guac
First time dining here and I wasn’t disappointed. I had the calamari which was absolutely delicious, followed by tacos.. one a pork belly taco and the other a carne asada. Both excellent. Compliments to the chef!
Great local bar and restaurant with friendly staff great food and upstairs bar and function area as well. Highly recommended
Went to Hola for the first time a couple weeks ago with my wife. First impressions as we walked in was that the staff working there were really welcoming! We ordered our food soon after arriving and the food was amazing. Got the nachos and wings and both were better than I expected and my expectations were already pretty high.Even when I was paying, the staff member at the counter was just really awesome! Will definitely come back again!!
A little expensive but I enjoyed the Chilli con Queso and the staff are very friendly.
Excellent food and great service. I recommend this place to anyone. They have an awesome selection of drinks as well. We enjoyed our lunch.
Good FoH service, fresh food done well. I had the prawn taco and the pork taco, both punched major flavour my mouth was on fire 🔥 has definitely topped other recent Mexican dining experiences recently!
Always love coming here with my famz, great staff amazing food, and awsum portions. Today i came in hoping they could do a takeaway of Jalapeno poppas n the spicy chicken, which thankfully they did. One of my alltime favrit go to places for a great feed, cheers Hola luvya work♥️
These guys have amazing staff that fit us in at the last minute. They had the most incredible friendly table service and were so very hospitable. The food and drinks were outstanding to top it off!
Great staff and delicious food. Plenty of parking nearby. A new favourite. I will definitely be going back.
Loved my burrito. Huge and delicious. Could hardly eat it. Only downside was table of 6 people and tables are really narrow. But food made up for it.
Great food and friendly helpful staff who managed to squeeze us in to a busy night when we hadnt made a booking.
Really enjoyed our time here. Staff were lovely and the food (and drinkswas great.
First time there and we will definitely go back! Food was amazing, the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, the slushy margaritas yuuuummmm!
The food was delicious! Flavours were amazing. Thanks Hola
Loved it. Good setup and atmosphere. Food and drinks was good.
Absolutely awesome, great staff and food. Looked after my gluten free neededs.
Cannot speak highly enough.Awesome food, drink and atmosphere. And this was only over lunch. Recommend? Heck yeah.
Bloody awesome Mexican food and the service was outstanding. Couldn’t recommend them more. 6 stars folks!
Excellent house Nachos served on a very hot plate. Enjoyable till the last morsel. Churros for desert, what more can you want. Excellent and friendly service.
First time Hola, will go there definitely again. The food was an explosion in the mouth, good amount of kick with fresh ingredients to match the Mexican flavours. Pico de Gallo was fresh and well seasoned. The cocktails were a great start to a delicious meal. The atmosphere was energetic, the staff friendly and attentive to detail.Really enjoyed the experience, would recommend it to anyone who loves Mexican food.Hasta LA vista HOLA
Lovely spot on the Kapiti Coast. Food was good, specialy the house Nachos.Plenty of Gluten Free options. The Churros were a bit doughy but still tasty.Plenty of drink choices with good margaritas.Service was good.Definitely recommend.
Disappointing pre mixed drinks with far to much salt which ruined the flavour. Tacos good. Service friendly however at times a little uncomfortable.
Great service, new favourite place. The food is very new to me and i love it. Good service, their very kind and polite. Would recommend
Unfortunately the serving team was not able to keep up with the tables they were responsible for. Waited 20-30 minutes to order drinks, then left without having our leftovers packaged because the waitress I asked forgot about us.The food was okay - probably slightly spicier than advertised. The mocktails were good.
Best jalapeño poppers, perfectly fried with a deliciously cheesy filling and tasty dipping sauce. Service fabulous as well, recommended.
Nice beer garden and friendly service even when they are busy. Didn’t get any food just a drink, but food looked good.
Had the most amazing time and food at this restaurant. I was served by a very lovely server, I believe her name was Beth. She was super helpful and made my boyfriends and Is time very very lovely and enjoyable. <3
Brilliant. I loved the decor they have really put an effort into sourcing Mexican memorabilia. Not too many Mexican barbies in NZ lol.We had Friday lunch food was fast, really tasty and very reasonably priced.Sorely tempted by the margarita specials we will have to come back for that.Service deserves a special mention. Top notch!
Four of us just dined here and sampled a good range of items on the varied and exciting menu. The service was friendly, meals came surprisingly quickly and most importantly, everything was delicious. The beers were good, the margaritas were tasty and the gins were a welcome addition to the drinks menu. The crême bruleé topped off a fine meal. Reasonable prices too. Strongly recommend this cheerful, relaxed, quality food restaurant.
Great food, good service and thanks Fernando for your beautiful songs and live music!
Disappointing. Steaks were cooked well but the cafe de paris butter was too salty and the duck fat potatoes were stodgy. Youd expect them to be crispy, and crunchy not soft and oily.Service was good, attentive and friendly, and the ambiance is welcoming, so no complaints front of house, but the kitchen lets them down.Tasted good but well not return.NB, eat upstairs at the grill. Downstairs is better, but not by much..
Great burger and great atmosphere. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy night so all in all a must.
This is the second time we have eaten at Hola. First time was nice, the second time was even better. We love the guacamole and fresh tortilla chips to start off, as we learnt not to eat to much prior to the mains which are a good size. I had a chicken burrito, that was tasty and looked fantastic (there was a pulled pork option as well). The ribs are good, but go for the half size (to much otherwiseService is attentive and friendly, with good product knowledge. Ill take a photo of the food next time I go, which will be soon.
First time going here , there was lots to choose from the menu and it was very easy to read. We ordered a frozen strawberry margarita which was amazing , the food came out fast and the service was awesome! Would recommend to anyone wanting to try it out! 😊
Dined upstairs with the family. Very nicely cooked steak and duck fat potatoes. My wife loved the margaritas
I ate from both menus. Tacos were very average, spicy fried chicken wasnt spicy at all but still had nice flavour. The up stairs was very poor, Food took well over an hour to come out and half our table got their food about 30 mins before the other half. My meal never came out as it was forgotten, by that point I just told them not to bother with it as I had lost my appetite. They also took over half an hour to get our drink orders out to us and one of our drinks had to be remade 3 times. They were obviously under staffed or needed more training and I think they should have turned our large party away if it was too hard for them which we would have been fine with :)
Dined here with my husband, we both decided on fish and chips. Wow absolutely amazing. Fish fresh, batter crispy, salad was so fresh and wonderfully dressed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely highly recommend. Will certainly visit again. A+++
Limited menu but good quality. Friendly staff and a great view.
Lovely, friendly staff, who obviously know their amazing food well, and their fabulous mocktails are a tasty treat.
We had five different meals between us and all were fantastic! Great service, amazing food, good selection. If I were still local, Id be practically living here 🤣
Always great kai, speedy friendly service, awesome drinks selection and value for money!!!
I found a place with a view thats sheltered and I can use my laptop for my mahi. The upstairs is called UMU and thats a way of cooking in the islands. To me as a Samoan that name is making connection to my ancestors who cooked that way every week.In the evening they had a live duo that sang Maori waiata which mixes well with a restaurant that has te reo on the menu. The menu is going to be basic with safe dishes to meet a clientele in Paraparaumu which is weighted on the boomer plus side.Had a long wait for the main, not sure if thats common as it was a first time.Beside a long wait everything was good.Ill be back with the live music as the vibe here works.
Disappointing, we had to wait more that half an hour for a Hemingway eggs and Eggs Benedict, I had Pan fried Prawns with Fettuccine but there was no salt in there, not as tasty as I thought it would be, pity for such a nice place that there were not enough waiters, and that the waiting time was so long. Things to improve guys.
The Kurt pizza was delicious and a really good menu, can also recommend the chips, really crispy and perfectly salted. Nice burgers and good food choices for kids too. A mix of indoor, outdoor and outdoor upstairs seating, so you can find the best spot for your group. Good beer and alcohol selection. Keen to come back.
Really great service. They were very accommodating to a large group - we sat on the big table by the window. Good meals and perfect flat white.
This new cafe ‘Pram Beach’ and upstairs restaurant ‘Umu’ take the going out experience in Kapiti to a whole new level. This place is absolutely amazing, three outdoor areas, two bars, great cafe downstairs and restaurant upstairs.Upstairs is a fantastic white linen restaurant with a bar and lounge all renovated to a five star standard. There are also two outdoor areas upstairs , one West facing and one East.Downstairs is a licensed cafe with another outdoor dining area. Downstairs is more your typical cafe feel compared to upstairs which is plush, warm, moody and just awesome.Great asset for Paraparaumu Beach and the Kapiti Coast.
