Rustic-chic taproom serving house & local craft beers, plus eclectic international comfort food.
I really wanted to like going back to Prairie for dinner. Its been a while since we were there. I understand the spacing, ordering at the bar, limited menu due to health restrictions. Thats not a problem. I ordered the Mac & Chase, which Ive gotten in the past. It had two bits of short rib in it(less than a full biteand the cheddar served on top was not melted. For $14, I expected a better meal experience. On a side note the chicken tenders looked good.
Great beer, staff and food! They werent very busy when I went, so it was easy to keep to social distancing. Their beer is phenomenal as well. The staff is so friendly and helpful - we ended up debating what the animal of one of their stickers shows and it was fun to try and guess what it is (I still think its a prairie dog, but maybe also a seal? or an otter?). Either way, definitely a stop for me anytime Im in OK.
I came into this pub with high hopes, as a big Prairie fan from out of state. I thought the experience was lackluster. Food was average, staff was nice but seemed understaffed. The beers I had were decent, but I was anticipating more "bombs" on draft.
Most excellent brewpub ever! Its a must see and try!
As nice as the venue is, both the menu and the service is very hit or miss. Hard to drum up support to go back to this one any time soon if ever, sadly.Update: It was over two years since I wrote my review and visited this place, and little has changed! Service was sub-par and the food was a joke. Ordered a burger that had a bottom bun that was totally saturated with moisture, so much so that it literally glistened in the light (see photo). Disgusting for something you have to pick up to eat. The flavors were also weak and disappointing. Do not go here.
Truly wonderful and interesting food and drinks! Both are moderately priced, so don’t expect to get away with too inexpensive of a meal! It’s definitely worth it though!! For a dinner for 2 with 1 app, 2 entrees and a super good deal on drinks it was about $65 without tip. Expensive? Sure. But like I said, there was an incredible deal on drinks that day and we each had about 4 bombers apiece!Give this place a try! If you love sour ales this is the place to go!!
This was a nice place to have dinner. My wife and two of our good friends enjoyed ourselves immensely. I had the Prairie burger and my wife had the in bone pork chop. We both had a taste of each others meal and cant figure which one was best. They were both delicious. The service and the atmosphere were great too five stars + 2.
Bartender Dave was as great as the beers... and the beers are amazing. Good food, awesome service, and a great selection of Prairies best. Highly recommend
Finally made it to the source. Worth the trip. Great food and beer.
Lovely brewpub in the hip area of Tulsa. There was a huge lineup going all the way around the building, so at first I thought it was a special beer release or some other thing, thankfully it was an event next door - who knew there were still so many fans of Hanson still around. It at opening time when I stepped in, and took a seat at the bar. Friendly bartender helped me pick out beer and food. I love the fact that they specialize in saisons, farmhouse and sour ales. My Mac and cheese was good, but the sauce was a little too runny. Id love to come back here!
Loved this place. Got the chili for an appetizer and the carmelized onions really took it up another level! The pork schnitzel was a great entree as well. I definitely be back.
Great beer and food. Great location downtown near other great restaurants are museums.
Went for brunch and a flight...Food (crack fries and the BELTwere crave worthy, and the beers were what you would expect from them, amazing! Left after a Crack in the Sky, which is dangerously delicious at 13%.
Ive always liked their beer and it was great to enjoy some at their brew pub, but its cheaper to drink in Dallas 250 miles away and the food was so so, uhh pretzels should be brown and have salt, otherwise those are called breadsticks... Great staff, nice location, get Prairie Bomb on draft and avoid the menu.
A nice brew pub! The Double Dunk beer was awesome! As was the Mac and Chase! Great staff! Highly recommended! 👍☺️
This was a nice place . Decorative and lively. We ordered the beer pretzels and cheese . A couple people didnt like the cheese. We mostly ordered drinks and they were great . Fantastic selection of fancy beers , services was fast and friendly.
Food here was great and atmosphere was beautiful! I got the chicken schnitzel and it was great. Good drink menu.
Good beers, good service! Although this place was packed, we were in a booth and that really seemed to cut back on the noise level. Had snacks one day, went back for brunch the next - brunch was great! They had a fantastic selection of stouts, but they were all kinda sweet for my taste. I went with a few of their IPAs and they were very good.
A most impressive really great craft beer selection, and a most capable waitestaff that helped us choose the exactly right beer for our tastes. And everything our group ordered off their menu to eat was was excellent tasting, as well
Best beer and grub in Tulsa, service was excellent too
This place was awesome. I showed up for my birthday to meet 5 people that were already there. So when they seated us there were 8 people. Then about an hour later we added another and then 4 more soon after. All the while they filled up our water and checked up on orders politely while we waited. The food was all so good. The atmosphere was friendly. We wound up taking up a huge table with 13 people for like 3 hours and we had really great service. I would definitely recommend this place. Their menus are awesome and the service is top notch.
Beer lovers dream. My husband was oversee with his beer - try Consider Yourself Hugged. The menu was limited, but everything we got was really good. Try the cashew fried pork appetizer. Cool atmosphere.
Excellent food and beer. Nice atmosphere. Easy to park. Lots of seating.
Unfortunately, the Prairie Brewpub did not at all live up to the expectations I had for it. Aesthetically, inside and out, the restaurant is impressive but the food and beverage leave much to be desired. We had the Paradise beer and a Bloody Mary. The beer was interesting but not terrible. However, the Bloody Mary was undrinkable. It was beyond salty. Like drinking salt water from the ocean. They did replace it with a glass of wine but we really wanted a Bloody Mary so it was very disappointing. As far as the food goes the majority was a big let down. For appetizers we had the Port-Simmered Grape Bruschetta which is wine simmered red grapes, thyme, chopped spinach, creamy brie on a local baguette crostini. It was just meh. Not a ton of flavor but edible. We also had the fresh pretzels and beer cheese dip with spicy mustard. Nothing to write home about. The beer cheese dip was ok but certainly not on par with others I’ve had.For entrees we had the Chefs Ramen and the Mac and Chase. The Mac and Chase had plenty of cheese and the flavor wasn’t terrible but it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for way to long. Of the two entrees it was by far the best. The Chefs Ramen was awful. The broth and noodles were flavorless and the chicken was mushy like it came from a can. It was completely inedible. Such a huge disappointment. With so many dining options in Tulsa I don’t see myself making a return visit.
We had the blackened salmon, seared scallops, and lemon custard for dessert and it was awesome!! We had a delicious meal!
Prairie has the most innovative and interesting beers that an Oklahoma brewery has to offer. The restaurant is really cool looking. The food is decent. The cheese platter appetizer was fantastic.
Located in a cool little area. Space is very cool. The staff was amazing. The 7 cheese Mac with bacon and rub meat is delicious. Ive always been a fan of the Prairie brews and tried a few new ones while in that didnt disappoint. Will definitely be back.
Yes please! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We all loved the food we got. My boyfriend had the pulled short rib sandwich and I had the burger. Burger was so good, cook perfectly, juicy and flavorful. Crack fries are worth the visit alone. And according to my daughter, best kids Mac and Cheese shes ever had. Beer selection we nice and if your into IPAs I recommend the phantasmagoria.
Nice natural lighting supplemented where needed. The food was quite good but short of bring great. While I enjoyed my food and really enjoyed my beer, I felt the prices were a little high for what I got. Not to the point of over priced, just a little high. We went Sunday evening, and they were understaffed, so while the service was not bad, it took a long time to get our order in.
Best selection of Prairie drafts and big bottles/cans youll ever find, and thats worth 5 stars. Excellent food as well, resulting in crowds at every meal. Bit pricey, but fitting. Nearby parking is typically $3. Highly recommend one of the rarer variants of BOMB!, like Bible Belt, Paradise, or the Christmas Bomb.
Great place to have good food and great beer.Atmosphere: 5/5 nicely decorated with lights and wooden accentsFood: 5/5 great flavour and surprisingly delicious for pub food. Highly recommend the mac and cheese and the ramenValue: 5/5 great value for money prices are fair for great food with large quantitiesService: 3/5 service falls short staff is friendly enough but it takes forever to get service. Its almost like you have to hunt down your server to get anything.
Food was amazing service was awesome atmosphere was inviting and they have great varieties of beer.
Delicious Beer. Food is hit or miss. Friendly Staff. Free Parking
Loved it but I was very disappointed that they are a separate entity from Prairie Artisan Ales. Still great people and all the PAA greats. :)
Great atmosphere and a great spot to hang out with friends. We came here with a group of people after dinner and sat at these huge couches right by the fireplace! The place was busy and energetic but we were able to get our drinks super fast up at the bar. They had up a bunch of decorations for Valentine’s day so everything was still very festive. I saw a few trays of food go by and everything looked really good, we will certainly be coming back again soon!
Loved it here! Finally came here for lunch after hearing nothing but good things from coworkers, and Prairie Brewpub did not disappoint! Friend and I split the pumpkin hummus - I was skeptical, but it was quite tasty. Their Mac & Chase was incredible! Some of the best Mac & Cheese Ive had. Loved their Christmas/holiday decorations too - the effort it must have taken to put those up, no wonder they havent been taken down yet! Will definitely be back here, and would absolutely recommend.
Great beer and decent food in this large brew pub. Its a popular place so there can be a wait during busy times. Really enjoyed the salad I had here and the pairing recommendations from our server were spot on. Will certainly be visiting here again next time Im in Tulsa.
Knowledgeable and helpful bartenders. Got my drink right away and the black bean burger was quick and really good! Not many bar seats and busy after about 8:30pm (Fribut an easy spot to grab a table at!
Decent food, very limited menu selection. We ordered a cheese plate which was good. For my meal I ordered scallops and it was a tasty dish. The most impressive thing about Prairie Brewpub was the Christmas decorations! Ive never seen anything like it! Check out the photos below.
Large selection of beer here. Made in house as well. The food was also tasty, but expect to spend a bit here. The ceiling was well decorated with Christmas decorations which looked nice.
Met the head brewery, Greg, and he let us try some great beers! Really enjoyed the ambiance and service here, cant wait till they can brew higher abv beers!
Sunday buffet- first visit- atmosphere is relaxed, light and fun music, rustic decor. Menu - traditional options with some fun twists, all entrees are paired with a beer.Service- friendly and helpful in selection.Food- we enjoyed the Parmelant Funkadelic spinach omelette, the Hillbenny Eggs Benedict with peach ale (nice compliment to the entree), and Not-chos a bit 🌶 spicy but flavorful. We will be returning. Yum!Also had the chocolaty taste of the "Deconstructed Bomb Flight"It was busy but seated quickly.
Great beers, great vibe, great service! A must for beer enthusiasts, and for snacking I recommend the cheese plate.
Talk about a wonderful brewpub! Fresh salads, wonderful appetizer specials, and honestly one of the most impressive stout menus I have encountered in a while. Absolutely visit, absolutely get the Deconstructed Bomb Flight. Pair it with a taco special and a Drillers game and you have a perfect evening.
Spent a night in Tulsa and went here for dinner. It was a very quick walk from the Fairfield Inn and offered an extensive local beer list. I tried the Saizon and Porter and both were OK. Food was well priced and the quality was great.
Good beer selection. Great atmosphere for pub. Prairie burger was fantastic as well as the Mac & Chase. Friendly host at the entrance and friendly server who helped with recommendations. Would definitely come here again! Note: they have happy hour specials on their in-house brews.
Great tasting high gravity beer with an interesting space. Only have the stouts and saisons though, so it might not be for everyone.
Fun atmosphere and great staff. I had thier hamburger with bacon and an egg added. It was one of the best hamburgers Ive had in a while.
Great beer selection. Food is always delicious. Cool lighting and beer equipment. You can even buy prairie Tshirts and discs!
Considering the positive reviews here, on yelp and on beer advocate, we had high expectations. The décor is great but food and beer is mediocre. The beers are over carbonated and a bit too sweet for the styles. However, this might be a good place for people new to craft beer.
