Praia do Cabedelo in Viana do Castelo

When i was young i used to walk from Viana to the beach of Cabedelo.The beach is windy and cold to swim.No women in the beach or girls to show their assets to warm my body. A sacrifice to control myself in the name of my G....

A bit out of the way if you’re staying in Viana Do Castelo but there is a ferry that crosses the river for €1.50 each way. It was wonderful little trip, the beach is beautiful and a lot of wind surfers around which is quite nice to see.

I stumbled upon this location while doing a roadtrip trough Portugal. Its a very cool place to relax and hang out a few days, especially if you are into watersports like surfing or windsurfing. The free sanitary block is a big bonus! Keep it up, Portugal!

Very nice and clean white sand beach, young and sporty crowd, a lot of kite surfs and some beach bars. I had a great time there and can definitely recommend this place.

Very good beach with good wind spots for kite and wind surfing. Good waves for surfing beginners. Waters are may be some what cold but the beach is perfect for a family day.

Its a great place to do kite surfing and windsurfing

This beach is lovely but can be very windy. A wind breaker would be advisable, probably not a parasol! Great for kite surfing. Sea looks a bit choppy but there are lifeguards. Dogs seem to be allowed on the beach but there were not too many and it didnt bother us. Where we set up camp there was a lady offering massages and a little bar offering drinks, ice-creams and snacks. There was also a restaurant at the top of the boardwalk.

Beautiful beach, hot sand, not crowded, free car park, toilets and bathroom facilities are free as well. There is a beach hut serving cold bevereges and snacks on the beach and a beach hut 2floor house with skyopen 1st floor 20mtrs off the beach if you head back to the car park, which serves burgers, wraps salads, coffee, sangria with superb service. They gave us trays and helped us carry our order to the beach where we were sitting. So we were drinking cappuccino out of china cups laying on hot sand, watching kitesurfers do their thing and enjoying beautiful weather.

Cabedelo is where the river meets the ocean, where the pinewood meets the dunes of fine sand. And all this happens under the view of the large and long bay afar, where the big waves of the Atlantic roll over and over again.

My Second home. Good for sports, waves on winter, wind on summer and beautifull sunsets

Beautiful beach in the morning with an huge areal and exposed rocks in the morning. However in the afternoon you need to forget about sunbathing due to strong wind making it uncomfortable with sand all over you. It is perfect for windsurf and kitesurf visible by the amount of people doing it in this beach in the afternoon.

One of the best beaches in Viana, especially if you want to surf / windsurf / kite surf.
