Praia da Torreira - Beach in Ovar, Portugal
Atlantic ocean waves, what can I say? I can sit and watch them all day long 😍
Great little town. Lots of Cafes and restaurants to have a little snack or have a full dining experience. Little shops that are great for souvenirs. The Ocean side is totally different experience from the bay side each with there own unique qualities. A 10 minute walk and you can go from one side to the other. Lots of private rental apartments to chose from. I really enjoyed myself and I look forward to the next time.
Love this beach, lots to do and long boardwalks. Waves and sunshine!
If you walk a bit father, or a lot, from the main beach you can see the fishermen in their labour. And the seagulls are by the hundreds. Fighting for fish and defending their preys. Quite curious to watch.Great extension of thin, white sand. And beautiful sea. Even better out of the high season.Just beware of the Atlantic. As always.
Because so beautiful that I cant wait to comneback!!!!
Biggest better beautiful beach
Very nice beach at north
Best beach in the area!
Top!!!
One of the most charming beaches in the northern coast!
Its a huge beach, so youll always be able to find your perfect spot! Sand is great, lots of shops and cafes close by. The boardwalk is getting some big extensions as well, so even more of it will be easy to enjoy.
The ocean and beach are magnificent and will leave you bewildered... The water is cold, though, lol.A couple of really good restaurants (Xâvega)... choose carefully.
Absolutely the most beautiful beach in the surrounding areas
This beach is a nice place to rest. In the afternoon it can be busy with people, but in the evening it is pretty quiet. There are some nice shops nearby, as well as some restaurants. The beach is pretty clean and an ideal place to watch the sunset if you so wish.
Clean, peaceful, easy access.
The sand is very white, clean, there are quite a few bars - people are less crowded.I liked it very much
Great beach, great food 🍲
A very long and wide beach you cant reach to step on each other
Torreira
Nice clean beach !
Like all of the beaches on this coast. They are beautiful. Green and clear water. Close to cafes that have beer, mixed drinks and small foods to eat. Would absolutely recommend
I often come here whenever I visit my grandparents in Portugal. I like the boardwalk along the beach. Lots of shops nearby and places to eat.Im not much of a swimmer or a beach goer in general. Just a warning--the water can feel quite frigid (cold current from the northand the waves can be strong. The beach has signs everywhere that will signify if it is safe to go in the water. Lifeguards are present in some parts of the beach.
Nice calm beach.Small local population, so you mostly meet people on holidays or taking a day off.
Clean white sand beach
Huge, clean beach with restaurant.
Best beach ever! Great access, bars, sunset is amazing
Loved this place. Village in the middle, river other side. Bought fish direct from the fishermen
We love spending numerous days here in the sun and water. Lots of shops and restaurants. If your lucky you will catch a Feast or Parade going on. ♡
The beach of my youth. A place of fishermen where you can buy fresh fish almost every morning, weather permiting.
One of the best, if not the best beach in Portugal. A long and deep beach with soft sand. Incredibly clean and well kept. The water is cold and often rough, but when it is safe to go in, its wonderful. The beach is also well life-guarded. There are also cafes built into the beach with seating both on the cafe platform and in the sand; great places to get some drinks, lunch or ice cream! If you time your visit correctly, you can also head to the outer edges of the beach to watch the traditional Portuguese fishing boats going out or coming in.
Great beach, lots of sand. Theres plenty of room. There are always lifeguards on duty during the beach season, and plenty of nearby cafes for a quick bite. The views are amazing even on a winter day. Parking may be complicated during the busier summer months, but it is free. If it is windy, the nearby shops will sell the appropriate wind cutters for very reasonable prices.
Beautiful beach, the fishermen had just arrived and it was full of seagulls, white sand and you can walk for miles! The town is really nice, colourful and clean. Must see.
I love it. It is sad that the water is so cold but that is always the case for beaches located in coasts with ocean waters. Sea water is warmer but the beach is kept clean and everything is in order. There are plenty of restaurants, bakeries and ice cream posts and a decent amount of stores. It is a nice place to spend a weekend with the family.
Great beach with plenty of local beach bars and restaurants.. Great atmosphere and even better people!
Best beach in 50 km radious
Beautiful beautiful beach! Its worth the ride!
Very peaceful. Lots of places to sit and have coffee and enjoy watching the activities on the beach.
Nice beach and village! A place to visit if you want to experience sea aromas!
My heart will always be here
The most awesome beach in the north of Portugal :D
They have a great flea market.
Beautiful place my home town
Great beach with ice cold ocean water. Otherwise it is great and you can watch the local fishermen catch fish the traditional way using Large nets and pulled it by bulls
Ice cold waters (for Portuguese standardsand endless horizon.Walking a few minutes either North or South will give all the privacy one could possibly want.
Pretty sandy beach with tons of space, even during summer. Can get windy but that feels good with the sun. Its hard to go to the water because most of the time its red flagged. It has one of the best sunsets ive ever seen!
Nice soft sand. cool Atlantic water. Great cafes near by. Great for relaxing days
A beautifull, clean, and quiet sandy beach. It doesnt get crowded, not even in nice weather during the weekends. It can get very windy, its good to have a windscreen for longer stays at the beach. The ocean is good for swimming in low tide and mild wind, though a red flag is not uncommon. Its also a good uncrowded surf spot. The surrounding area is very calming and you can take a walk in the sand dunes. Its a tranquil place! There are also good seafood restaurants and bars near the beach.
Wonderful the best time of my life
Not so clean in September.
Beautiful beach, lots of good eating places!
