Pow Wow Inn - in Tucumcari, United States
The people running this campgrounds are the nicest people we meet on our trip and the breakfast was so wonderful ❤️ 💖
For me I stood here at pow wow before I started renting monthly Im really happy with over all experience.
Great little place to eat with a great interior. Especially where the tables are.Food was excellent and the staff were fantastic.Great place to try
If you like cars movie you must to drive to this town and stay
I will never stay at this motel again. The Maid was the only good thing here. I payed double of what the normal rate is. The tub smelled like mold ,the carpets were dirty and torn.iwas moved to another room and the ceiling fell when it snowed, the fridge didnt work,it took too long for the hot water to get hot.. when I called Tammy she told me that she couldnt help me and didnt have time for me and hung up on me..
Great Food, fast service 👌
Food is still fresh, service is the best! We choose The Pow Wow for date night every week!
We loved the pow wow! Great food an drinks! And they picked us up an brought us back to the RV PARK
Owners are very nice people! Tammy was very helpful and nice to talk to!
Love eating here on our way to Amarillo. Food is great and very friendly staff. Service is always prompt.
Really good food, seating was available when we arrived. Quick, excellent service from Ashley Lauren!
Theres historic, and then there is just old. The operators seem like very nice people, but this place has been down a LONG time. It will take a lot of money to bring it back.
Everything and everyone was awesome!!! And the food was on point!! So were our drinks 🍹🥃
Grace was very graceful, but the food was undercooked. Very good service.
Good food. Friendly atmosphere!
Our second time this week. Awesome Mexican food, no waiting and great service...
Good food, decent prices, great staff. What else can I say?
Excellent food great staff great value
The air conditioner is by the front door so it takes a long time to cool down. The mattress felt like it was the first mattress ever made. I understand its an old place but come on. It was extremely dirty under the bed.Ate at the restaurant and it was the worst carne adovado Ive ever had. First of all the meat was not marinated as it should have been and it tasted gross. The refried beans were dried out. I feel sick to my stomach after eating there.Do not recommend the motel or restaurant.
After reopening POW WOWIS BACK . full speed aheadBar food .Gracie thanks , 🤠* Joe your the man!*🤫
Really good food. Route 66 is not so pretty in this area. Located close to freeway. Inside most patrons appeared to be locals. Daily specials were offered on addition to the daily menu. We very much enjoyed eating here. Menu offered Southwest, and Native American foods.
Friendly resturant and a good selection on the menu. I had the New Mexico steak which came smothered in a spicy chilli suace. Very tasty. Desert was a cheesecake chimmichanga. Interesting !
Good food, friendly service. Enjoyed the artwork on the walls.
PowWow is a fun place. The food is always good, and the service is usually good.
The pow wow is an alright place to stay it has a bar a restaurant free wifi and the apartments there are not to bad at all decent size for 1 to 2 occupants
The food was absolutely great the service was great the atmosphere was great this is an excellent restaurant I give it a 5 stars.
Thus far I must say my stay has been pleasant. Not only is the stay organized and clean, employees and management are more. then helpful with out being snoopy...!
For the price of $45 its exactly what you expect. I had to ask for toilet paper, but Abdell was very accommodating. The Pow Wow restaurant next door is good but pricey.
We love to spend get-away weekends in Santa Fe, and strolling the plaza shops and restaurants is always part of the itinerary.
We walked into our room and had some bugs crawl around at the outside of the closet door. So we looked around and there were hundreds of bugs crawling on the walls, the ceiling, even under the sheets. We called the front desk and the lady asked "what kind of bugs?". We told her that we didnt care what kind of bugs they were. She came back with "its normal because it rained". After we told her that this is unacceptable, she finally gave us a different room. This one still had bugs, but we were tired from being on the road for 12 hours and it was late. So we accepted.Dont want anyone else to have to go through this. Even the few bugs kept us up half of the night.
Average food, nice waitress, nostalgic atmosphere, needs more parking, most tables fine but booth by kitchen has vent below it that was dirty
if youre looking for that seedy lounge lizard type bar, this nails it. people watching is awesome and the artwork and employees are all very unique. its the perfect spot to stop and grab a beer. although, the Chile cheese fries are NOT what you expect. theyre still good. 5 stars if the service was better.
The server made great suggestions, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. The steak was a little over cooked, but it was fine. All together it was a good visit.
Stay at the inn, my wife and I ate dinner at the restaurant. I had the chili rellenos and she had the quesadillas. The food was delicious and the service was very good. A good choice for local flavor. The chili stew is the bomb!!!
Love this place for Southwest food. Home made salsa is excellent and dishes are fresh. Chips were too thick and thats my only complaint. Servers are very friendly and helpful. Dishes are reasonable and the place has a hoppin bar in the later hours with a live band and dance floor. Typical Country Music for most part. Atmosphere is quaint with booths at walls having murals of customers painted on wall making it look as if someone else was already sitting there.Overall if you like Mexican or Southwest food you will not be disappointed. This place is on the edge of town so you may have to look for it.
This is a bar/restaurant in my hometown. The staff is nice and its managed well. Mexican food is great. Nice spot for a drink when there isnt a big crowd. Not a place for a quiet drink.
The waitress seemed a little miffed, but it might have just been because it was late in the day. The food was incredible, and the paintings and overall look of the place was great. One of the only places open late in Tucumcari
Cute place in my home town. They have great green sauce. Combination plate enough for me and the hubby.
This is a wonderful restaurant to go eat. They habe great food. You can also have a cocktail or beer.
This is an older motel but better taken care of than most. This place is historic and has the only bar/restaurant/room combination as far as the writing of this review. They do have a small curio shop and the owner operates the property. I would stay here again the bar and good food would be my biggest reason. The chile rellenos are great and the property was quiet.
We ate in the Lizard Lounge with the 5ft Talking lizard. They have great paintings of lizard people. The New Mexican food was very good with a hugh cold beer, I think 20 oz. The prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was really fun. They even offer a free taxi if your staying in the area so know one drinks and drives. Terrific place.
Great place for games, long-term rentals, and rooftop romance at the East Village (newly renovated, but was cool back in the day too).Love and play safely!
This place was amazing. I truly enjoyed dinner. We had a blast. Food was amazing! Try nacho Grande, and combo plate. If you like spice this is your place....
We love the food here! We use to go every week just for the chile rellenos, sadly they took them off the buffet. This is still our favorite place to go fo dinner! You get what you pay for and its delicious. Way better than dells IMHO!
Comments apply only to the restaurant area, not the motel itself as we have never stayed there. Service is always quick and friendly. The menu selections are varied, but as you would expect from their location, they have a number of Mexican food offerings that are excellent. A unique feature from the restaurant is that there are murals on the walls by the booths that feature local residents who patronize the restaurant. Prices are quite reasonable and the portions are very generous. The general manager is often present in the late afternoon and evening hours, and visits every table to make sure that everything is to your liking. We have visited this restaurant multiple times when we are traveling thru the area, and have never been disappointed.
The food is unexpectedly a delight. Great flavors & plenty of it. The staff is friendly and service was great.
The restaurant food and service were excellent! The staff was helpful and efficient.
The Pow Wow Restaurant and lizard lounge is great! We found it on accident and were so glad we stopped. The owner came around and talked to all of the guests and the food was fantastic. A great place to stop on a road trip if youre sick of fast food. Dont forget to take a picture with the lizard statue!
We stopped in for lunch on our route 66 road trip and we were not disappointed! The buffet was great homestyle food and our server, Jessica was amazing. She was friendly and engaging, sharing info about the town and things to do. Its a great stop.
Nice BIG room..clean, comfortable, nice people..fridge,microwave ,and coffee pot..back porch..for smoking..quiet too! Great value for $45.33. The Joneses.
