Potter's Craft Cider Garden- Downtown Tasting Room in Charlottesville

Awesome cidery!! Relaxing & interesting atmosphere.

Needed to change my review. The location and people were great. I just wasnt a fan of the ciders.

Charming old restored building makes for a cozy old world pub atmosphere and great cider.

Unique and quirky atmosphere, good time killer!

A great weekend pop up. Im not a big cider drinker, but I love the grapefruit hibiscus cider. They have great flights that let you experience the big differences in the various ciders.

The space was nice, with plenty of outdoor seating, and the staff was friendly. They also seemed to have some space setup indoors for performances, though there werent any going on while we were there. Sadly though, the ciders arent very good. Most were way too sweet; they tasted closer to a frozen margarita than to a good dry cider. Of course there is no accounting for taste, so this may be a plus to some, but the four of us were all disappointed in the flights we got and none of us finished them as they felt like desert wines.Edit: After the response from the company, which was good, Id like to clarify my comments. They are correct in that my perception of sweetness is about the aromatics in the ciders, and not the technical term for dryness that is used professionally in wine and cider tasting and the like. So I was referring not to the sugar content, but rather to the sweetness that I usually associate with higher sugar content ciders being present in the ciders offered here. I know correlation does not equal causation and should have been more careful with my descriptors.

Seriously one of the Best cider tastings with the most unique and delicious ciders! Wow!

Very difficult to get service here, "bartender" kept disappearing. Cider is DELICIOUS though, easily my favorite hard cider cider Ive ever tried. All varieties!

Neat place that I think must really rock in the summer with the outside patio and a great place to chill and people-watch. About the only place to go and sample these excellent ciders from Potters. Great, knowledgeable staff. Strong industrial warehouse vibe in the tasting room which could benefit from some of the same treatment the bathroom decorators have done.

A locavores delight for residents and out-of-towners. The Potters guys got the cider game down and the cider garden offers delicious staples like Farmhouse Dry and Grapefruit Hibiscus and the always reliable smaller batch flavors that you wont find elsewhere around town. (Dont worry, they sell cider flights). Its also conveniently located near some of the best food and drink Cville has to offer, so consider it the ideal spot to kick off a night in Belmont, on the downtown mall or right next door at Lampo.

Amazing atmosphere and delicious cider! We loved sampling all of the varieties of cider while being surrounded by a beautiful garden of tropical plants! Dry ciders rock!

Never knew I liked hard cider until I discovered Potters Craft! No saccharine sweet stuff here. The cider garden is our new mainstay and the perfect way to get your evening started. Also a great way to pass the time while you wait for a table at Lampo...the hostess will even come and get you when your table is ready! Love the classic Farmhouse Dry but there are so many varieties and always something new to try at each visit. Highly recommend!

Im consistently impressed by the cider Potters puts out. They are versatile, refreshing and delicious! The cider garden is an awesome spot!

Love the cider garden! Situated in a great location while serving up a delicious list of ciders. Its the best way to jumpstart, enhance or end a weekend day.

We had a great time here!! The outside seating is awesome, umbrellas were great for shade and I like the tropical vacation feel. Staff were friendly and I love the flight option because its hard to commit to just one flavor when there are so many delicious options. Theres no food there so we ended up getting food to go from Keevil & Keevil.

Great place to grab a glass of cider, or a flight, and enjoy the day. Good ciders with a lot of variety. Nice space outside with tables,seating and plants! Friendly staff. We ended up staying longer than planned. Great experience!

No outside signage at all, very hard to find. Only a single piece of paper on the door of an art center. Also apparently closed when we drove out of our way to visit because the website said it was open, so I have no idea how the cider is.
