This place is a disgrace. First of all, the kitchen-reception room is connected via stairs to the dormitory so you hear everything - and yes, singular, because there is one room with 50 beds which is not clear on the website. Then they don’t let you cover your bed - how is that even legal? Be prepared for creepy men walking by staring at you. It smells gross, the bathrooms are disgusting. I didn’t sleep here a single night of my whole booking.

Warning...DO NOT STAY HERE.You will massively regret it.Its like a prison. I lost my $600 dollars. I was told you arent allowed privacy.. beware.. please stay elsewhere. Dont be fooled by the pictures.Ive stayed in many hostels. They are gaurds walking by your bed for a reason.I should of seen the warnings before paying. The showers have no locks and are translucent. The toilets are a disgrace. Bits worse than you can think. The kitchen is only a microwave and plastic cutlery. Do not be fooled look at a the 1 star reviews. The place is empty when a the other places are full for a reason.Any reviews that are responsible are years old.A note for the management... Refund my money. Would you like to explain the picture I posted?I went to a real hostel that respects clients an privacy. They are at capacity. My bunk was not completely covered. As you can see in my first picture. The second picture is at a decent picture just down the road that respectful human rights.

After travelling all around the world, this is he WORST experience Ive ever had in a hostel. Dont book here if you dont want to lose your money and sleep on the street.I booked 2 months in advance paying the 50 dollars fee.The day prior to check in I received the confirmation mail. When I got to the reception at midnight after a 9 hours flight, the guy at the desk told me that my bed was taken and that it was not his fault becasue it was managed by the guy doing the mornings. He treated me in a despective way. And after 2 hours of arguing I had to find another hotel at 2 am paying 3 times what I had booked on this place. In addition, I am still wating for the refund of the 50 dollars that the guy told me that were on the way to be refunded.Definitely not worthy to go through this experience, even if this is the cheapest place to book in MIami Beach.

**EDIT**Stayed here again 4 nights January 2022. YIKES what happened??! Place is a run down dump. Disgusting showers and broken down kitchen reduced to a single microwave for cooking. Refrigerator has not been purged in ages. I dumped a pile of expired foods but barely put a dent in it. Good luck finding a spot for your food.Pool has not been attended to during my stay either. Showers are disgusting with sopping wet towels, used razors, soap and broken shower heads littering the floor. One showers has exposed electrical wires dangling from the ceiling (see pics).Possibly even worse; my flight out was cancelled due to a snowstorm but posh refused to add a single night to my stay, due to its new four night minimum rule.Management help!

just a horrible place overall, Ive stayed in hundreds of hostels and this is almost the worst. The steal deposits from people, lie and the place is pretty disgusting.no privacy at all and expect to be kept up all hours of the night with snoring and loud talking. Only decent thing is location but you will wish you paid more for an actual place to rest

Pros:•Nice staff•LocationCons:•Beds are hard•outlets are sparse•light didnt work•had to ask for toilet paper because stalls were emptyI could have looked past everything else if I could sleep on the bed. Ive stayed at many hostels before. This place has a lot of potential but could use an update. I had reasonable expectations going into it. Maybe other people could make it work but its a no for me.

Cheapest hostel in Miami after resort fees and taxes ( I got it for $150 for 5 nights on booking .com)Could stand to be cleaner in the bathrooms and have a functional kitchen but I guess that’s what you get when 50+ people are staying there. Bring earplugs.

This place, for location, price and staff alone, deserves a 10 out of 5...if youve stayed at a lot of hostels...Its dorm living, so yeah, the bathrooms could sometimes be cleaner, though thats the fault of the inmates, not the asylum. The cleaning person cleans, Ive seen her. Every staff member Ive dealt with has been cool. The bed is actually comfortable. The happy hour is generous. More outlets might be a plus. But if you dislike the fact some of our fellow wanderers can be animals, hostel life might not be for you, and thats OK

Giving two stars because the staff tried to be helpful and all are quite nice but you get what you pay for here. New hostel, photos look great online but reality far different. They appear to specialize in taking deposits from peoples beware, especially Florida residents. Fridge tiny for 54 people, zero room for anything. only 4 toilet stalls as well, disgusting most of the time not hostels fault really. To be fair there was a girl cleaning at times but pretty gross kitchen area, zero silverware, bowl or cups, dishwasher and laundry out of order though I suspect just signs in place to keep people from using as they only opened in July and all new. They lost one of two packages of mail sent to me and I was fully underwhelmed by the experience. Noise levels too much, too many people and no enforcement of quiet hours or spaces. zero privacy.. I do mean zero. best pay a few more dollars and go for another hostel

Pretty good, reasonably clean well located hostel. The interior could use a few updates, especially the bathroom, but was all useable. The service was excellent. The design doesn’t leave anything between the common room and the dorm, it’s all basically one area. So if you are here to party and don’t care about noise, no problem. If you are working or otherwise need some sleep at night, most people are very courteous, so it doesn’t get loud, but something to keep in mind. I’m not bothered by some occasional noise so there was no problem for me during my stay.

They just cancelled our reservation less than a week before our trip, with no warning or reason provided. I tried for an hour to call any number associated with this Hostel and literally could not reach a single person. EXTREMELY frustrating and disrespectful. No refund of my deposit either. Do NOT book this hostel.

2 weeks before our trip they canceled our reservation because they are not opened due to covid. I would of liked a little more communication and at least update your website. So now we are left trying to find a place to stay last minute. I would not book here any time soon..until covid is gone.

The place looked like it was going to be nice. Unfortunately, we booked online and the fine print (VERY easily missedsaid FL residents cannot stay here. Doesnt matter if youre military and home on leave, coming in from WAY outta town, or just have an old ID you never got updated to a new address. IF YOU HAVE A FLORIDA ID, YOU CAN"T STAY HERE! We booked two beds for two nights and they refused to refund my money. So, it was a COMPLETE rip off. Like, a LITERAL rip off. They took my money and were unapologetic about keeping it without rendering any services or lodging. I wish I could leave a review of the facility and accommodations but the wife and I didnt even get that far. It really left a VERY BAD impression in my first trip to Miami ever.

So I recently stayed at Posh just a couple weeks ago. I was going to place this on Trip A, but you can only post same hotel every 90 days.Posh is great, Lucas and Juan were the best! They took care of everything in needed and honored request that were not a little difficult to resolve, but they did it masterfully. The hotel is clean, the staff was great. Especially the black housekeeper I think it was Vanessa she is from the US. She was thorough and made sure but only was the restrooms and living areas clean, but that you had clean towels if needed. Keep in mind Posh is a large area so for one person to take care of it, is a lot. She did it pleasantly with no problem. They clean the posh 2 times a day morning and mid afternoon.I usually carry Clorox wipes to clean up after others. Some folks leave the sinks dirty, and you will need to lightly wipe. The beds are comfortable and very large. Bring a sleeping mask and ear plugs. You will be fine. This is the only place I will stay when I am in Miami. You can meet some very nice people and others don’t like to be bothered. Most people are very nice, you meet other people from other countries. One recommendation for Posh is to require a drivers license or passport to get a beach towels. If there are multiple people I’m a party, write the number if towels provided on a sticker and place in back of license or passport. If not the license ask them to surrender their key or a valid credit card which you return once all towels are returned. This will help insure towels are returned for other guest. The best toilets to use are in the middle of the hostel. But my favorite showers are at the back of the hostel. Not many people use them because they have a curtain. 3 people can shower side by side with their own privacy curtain. They are usually the cleanest and i find them to be very private. Thanks for everything you guys are great

I booked online through their website, read all the fine print, etc. When I got my booking confirmation, it was for 4 days instead of the 3 days I had booked. I tried to modify it online and got a message saying to call the hostel. I called multiple times and would either get no answer or they would immediately put me "on hold" and disconnect. When I finally got someone on the phone, the hostel staff could not modify the reservation,. They also informed me that I would be charged an additional $100 deposit upon check-in and that I could only use a credit card to check in, not the debit card I booked with. They do not tell you any of this before you book. I was given a number for their reservations department and called repeatedly, no one ever answered. I was unable to check in and was left stranded for the night with no accommodations. On top of all of this, I will still be charged a no-show fee for failing to check in!!!!

I love Posh hostel! Very nice pool and free drinks most days. Carlos did a fantastic job showing us how to make mojitos and making sure myself and other guests are well taken care of. The showers and bathrooms are nice too. I will definitely stay here again. My only complaint is that at the very, very bottom of the confirmation email it tells you to check in at the White Law. That needs to be moved up to the top and it needs to be more apparent on the website, Airbnb, etc. other than that, I highly recommend this place!

The Posh Hostel in South Beach is one of the best Ive ever stayed in, and Ive been to a lot during my travels. It has an infinity pool which is incredible for a hostel, the location could not be better with the beach, restaurants and bars are a mere 5 minutes walk, and the common area was modern and clean with a functioning laundry to clean clothes.Staff were welcoming and the free breakfast is basic (cereals and toastbut enough to get you off to a great day. Beds were comfy enough and the bathrooms were clean. The only tiny gripe I could recall is that everyone is put into sleeping quarters rather sleeping dorms so your bed will be located among loads others.Perhaps not for couples, but for solo travellers or groups of friends, this hostel is perfect. Id highly recommend it.

Just got back from my stay at the Posh Hostel. I was a solo traveler staying at a U.S. based hostel for the first time. For the price, location and cleanliness of communal areas (during the day), breakfast, I gave four stars. Keep in mind, Im also a low maintenance/solo traveler. I booked my stay via their website because the price was cheaper compared to others, but keep in mind when doing so the stay was non-refundable.Depending on where your bunk is located, the space is quite loud due to other guests staying up late partying; there are no doors to close the large sleeping area from the staircase/communal space upstairs. Id suggest bringing earplugs/eye mask for sleeping. Also, during my stay there were some questionable guests whom I thought lived in the hostel. Some guests were more friendlier/cleanlier than others. I definitely compliment the women on the cleaning staff for their hard work. Ive sadly witnessed a variety of bodily liquids in the bathrooms at night. Ive heard from guests that I was with that a plus about the Posh compared to others in the area was the pool and that locks are provided; I was planted at the beach for the most part, but Im grateful for the lock as I was able to keep my important items safe. I would stay here again, but will make special requests to have an even better experience the next time.

Somehow I ended up giving a five star review, I’m not sure if my account was hacked or how but here I am to correct the miscommunication. First of all, we weren’t even able to stay at this establishment because we were Florida residents. I scoured the website prior to booking and read every tab available to find information and never saw any regulations on who could stay as long as they are 18. During booking there was a drop down for the address and Florida was an option. It wasn’t until I had paid and received a confirmation email that contained specific regulations and stipulations. Following the portion that said this booking was non refundable, was a small section saying that Florida residents could not stay and ID was required at checkin. Once we got there it was an ordeal to transfer our reservation to one of their partner hotels that did allow Florida residents. Once finding a hotel and of course increasing our payment by more than double, we were finally able to check in. Another group of girls we met also had issues with this hotel company. They had reserved a room and paid the deposit and when they got there they told them that there was no rooms available at the hotel. So they had to change over to a different hotel within the company and for an upcharge of course. The whole company seems very sketchy I’m not sure how there are such good reviews. I assume many are fake.

Great location. Great price. Cereal, toast, coffee, oranges & watered down OJ free with continental breakfast. Free drinks at happy hour, with soda only. Was very very sceptical of a hostile dorm, from drama, safety and staying with strangers. All the guests there were very accepting and respectful. It was truly an amazing experience. Ive heard these places are sometimes full of bugs, this place was not. Never saw any roaches or bed bugs of any sort. Mattresses are protected with thick plastic. My only complaints would be staff. Some of the housekeepers seemed a little miserable. The front desk staff was def nice, but unable to help when issues arose. I was locked out of room alot, for no reason key card kept being deactivated. At 230 am staff was no where to be found. Took an hour for him to get back to the desk. Also, theres 3 microwaves since theres NO STOVE. but if u run 2 or 3 at once the fuse blows. Our dinner was frozen dinners so we couldnt eat one night. The maintenance should show front desk how to flip the fuse box. We complained multiple times and were waiting on maintenance to arrive because they apparently have "too many properties to handle at once". My friend was diabetic and had just taken his insulin and needed a specific diet and quick. That didnt happen. Theres times you should have 2 desk staff when only 1 is present. No one answers the phone if u call. The showers and bathrooms were Pretty gross as wellit. It needs air fresheners in the bathroom it always stunk bad. The showers are definitely rarely scrubbed. The drain in the showers smelled like vomit. Had to hold my breath. To give them a 5 star, have maintenance more available, scrub the showers once In a while, put hooks on the doors in the bathroom for us to hang clothes, purse, etc & pour something down those drains in the showers (draino/ bleach?Other than that everything was perfect. I will deff return!

The best hostel in the US, amazing! If l knew, l would have stayed here since the beginning of my stay. They are very professional and kind at the reception, the room is fantastic and the hostel is very well planned, everything here works perfect! They give u a key for the locker then u don’t have to worry. Breakfast is up to 10:00 pm, the kitchen and the social areas are very beautiful and classy, they let two apple computers for the guests at the social area. there’s a pool, a big one. You will feel safe here, no homeless dudes living here, you get access only with your code and your card, and to open the hostel door, you gotta take the elevator after inserting your code at the front door. They don’t charge you to keep your bags after the check out. The beds are big and comfortable, it’s amazing! Next time I go to south beach, I will stay in The Posh Hostel again for sure.

Great place, great time, very helpful, friendly & responsive staff. One block from the beach, happy-hour, beach towel, small locker, fun, international guests. Clean, free breakfast fruit & cereal, almost all guests were fun, polite, well-behaved, clean, and tons of great looking women everywhere!Yes, youre sleeping in a large room with other people, but everyone while I was there was considerate, usually quiet (except when it was party time!,and well-behaved. Id never stayed in a hostel before and had no idea what to expect. Thanx to their great staff: Roz, Natasha, Lee, Miguel and others, everything went super smooth. I highly recommend Posh, especially if you want dont want to drop $200++ per nite or more. Also, I highly recommend South Beach Hotel Group -- they have other properties Ive stayed at, and ALWAYS deliver a great product for a great price. You can easily pay 4x as much per night and not enjoy yourself as much as if you stay at POSH or other SBHG properties. I honestly dont understand any of the negative reviews on here -- people have totally unrealistic expectations. To stay one block from the beach in a super fun, super cool paradise like SOBE can be very expensive. POSH lets you enjoy a great experience for an amazingly great price. I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!! For the price, you absolutely cant beat it. South Beach Hotel Group = #1 in South Beach.THANX TO ALL, SEE YOU AGAIN, I HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!

I had a 16 hr layover in Miami before heading to Brazil and needed a day bed. I arrived at Posh around 7am and as soon as the manager, Kedi, arrived she gave me an early check in without me even having to ask. It was a great experience. The accommodations are clean, modern and the staff was super friendly. Thanks Kedi, Diane, and Miguel!!! ❤️

I was surprised at how good my stare was. I had one night alone in Miami, and spent it here. The whole place was spectacularly clean and very modern. Its strange to sleep in a room with 30 other people, but wasnt unpleasant. They have ear plugs dispensers. Upstairs pool and deck was great in the daytime. Was nice to have beach towels, beach was 2 blocks away. Everyone staying here was very friendly. Everything felt very secure. The beds locked drawer fit my suitcase AND carryon! Free happy hour drinks downstairs was awesome!Cons:You have to check in at a hotel downstairs of Posh, called "The Whitelaw". Its not well described on the hotel listing. Bathroom and shower was very new, but shower area wasnt as clean as I had hoped. Not easy to change clothes (aside from in the showersince everything is co-ed

I arrived in Miami as a Solo Traveler and I made a last-minute reservation to stay at the Posh South Beach Hostel, which I tried to book several weeks ahead because of its location Beauty, price, and pool. I want you to know this place is amazingly beautiful and clean and filled with stainless steel appliances, slate and tile flooring. Please let it be known that nothing about the bedding, amenities, and place is cheap, EXCEPT the FANTASTIC PRICE I PAID. The staff, Kedi, Douviany, Lucas, Patricia and other staff members are extremely friendly. They all made me feel right at home. I will DEFINITELY be back from now on.

Its not posh at all. So many people in one room and the toilets have big gaps and everyone can see you and hear you. The pool is dissapointing. There is no door between the common room and the dormitory room and the people are drinking and shouting at night. In the showers there is nothing you can leave your clothes or shampoos on. The lockers are under the beds and they are making extreme noises and also they are difficult to open. They have ridiculous rules such as "you are not allowed to hang your swimsuit or towel anywhere".The staff was good but in my opinion it is overpriced for what you get. The real price is 36 USD per day and you can find hostels with 16 USD.

I have been in a pile of hostels so far and this is definitely the worst that I have ever experienced! My bed was 10 cm from the ceiling with no phone charger. Showers are not locked and there isn’t any changing room. Lights were on during the night and the staff was so noisy in early morning! The included breakfast is so poor and the parking does not exist. The only positive thing is its position. So expensive for what they offer!!!

I just needed a place to crash for the night on south beach while waiting for an early morning flight. I booked online in advance, and checked in around 1.30 am. Finding the front desk was confusing at first because the building was locked, but in the end that is a good thing. The woman at the check in desk was friendly, helpful, and adamant about the rules which made me feel safe as I have never stayed in a hostel before . the place was also clean and quiet. I would stay here again.

30 beds to a room is a lot but they were large, wide, and sturdy bunks. the living area and kitchen was great. whole place was very clean. Pool with plenty of sun lounges was a huge bonus considering we didnt know we would have this when we booked. but they lose 1 star because checkin instructions were hard to find and sucked. This hotel group seems to deliberately obscure the real location of the hostel when you book online, because we booked at the Loft hostel (doesnt exist), had to present for checkin at Chesterfield, was sent to White Law to checkin, before being shown upstairs to Posh. all on the same block so not far to walk, but completely ridiculous.

If I could give this place a 0/5, I would. First of all, the rooms are falsely advertised and not at all private. Secondly, a grown man decided to look under my shower curtain as I was taking a shower. The police came and he was removed but I was shown no empathy from the staff after the incident. No apology, no accommodation, and they basically shrugged it off like it was no big deal to them. I decided to leave although I had the rest of the week booked and they refused to give me a refund because their policy didnt allow it.Their rules explicitly state that no sex is allowed, but the silhouettes on the shower doors in one bathroom and the general lapse in privacy would lead you to believe otherwise. Thats perhaps why someone decided it was okay to take a look at me in the shower. All in all this left a terrible first impression of Miami and I have zero interest in coming back to the city at all. I must mention that certain members of the staff treated me like a human and tried to help but I cant say that for every member of the staff. I will leave out names in hopes that he learns how to treat guests in the future.

This is a great lux hostel. a cross between a hotel and hostel if you need a little more luxury then the average hostel at an affordable price then this is the place for you.The staff are very friendly and helpful and the pool is a great asset in the Miami heat. best of all its only a few minutes from the beach. For those concerned about security it has lockers and key card access so its extremely safe.

Pros: the hostel is clean, in a great location, on time airport shuttle, locks provided to store belongings, rooftop pool, and a friendly staff.Cons: there are 36 beds in a room which means a lot of noise. The room I stayed had stairs...constant stream of people walking, door opening and closing. The beds are mental which is great for the bottom bunks but really squeaky for the top bunks. No outlets in the sleeping area like other hostels. The staff member said I had to pay extra because Hostel World where I booked gave me a discount. Since the price was the reason I booked this location, I felt cheated. There was a lot of hair in the shower drain. So much that it made me slightly sick to look at it.Overall, it was an ok Hostel but I felt you would get more bang for your buck at the others. I probably wont stay here again.

Okay, Ill review this place as if it were a hostel, which it is. You get minimal privacy, minimal space, but a VERY inexpensive place to stay and a more-than-decent amount of amenities. Youre also positioned right beside the 12th St (super-gaybeach and the nightlife along Collins and Washington, and a local promoter swings through on occasion (Ive stayed a number of timesand sells you on a transportation-included night out with some reasonable-for-Miami cover/transport fees. Showers are okay, not great (which is like 5 stars for a hostel!and the pool is well maintained in my experience. Crowd runs youngish (21-35, usually on the young side), and its easy to find conversation or drinking buddies.

I stayed here in early June 2016 for 8 days and I have to say Miami wouldnt have been the same having stayed at any other hotel or hostel in the city. Perfectly located right next to the beach with its own private pool looking out over the city. The kitchen was great, bathrooms and showers as well, the whole hostel was really spacious and never felt crammed, despite its large capacity and best of all it was constantly being cleaned - I know most people are primarily concerned with sanitary aspect when it comes to hostels.Apart from all of this what REALLY made the hostel as great as it was and what made it so influential on our trip was the staff - Gabe was one of the kindest, funniest and most caring people we met in Miami, he was super helpful and even took us out and showed us around the town. Jose was also super lovely and the two of them always made you feel at home.Would 10000000% recommend this place to anyone

My friend and I stayed in a hotel for a night and it was a very nice experience. Just as you pull up, the valet staff takes your care. When you walk in to the concierge, they offer you a glass of champagne which is already starting to relax you as a guest. The rooms are clean and updated. The hotel is very trendy and modern, as well as has a peaceful aspect to it. Its close to restaurants so its very easy to walk anywhere. The beds are big and very comfortable. We would stay there again since our experience was just wonderful.

A little hard to find, no signs but got directions at hotel desk next door. Hostel looks really nice and modern. Bathrooms and showers were all really clean and had updated fixtures. Bathrooms toilets could definitely use some more space. I couldnt sit down with the door closed. I wish the beds had power outlets for my phone.

I stayed at the Posh hostel between 09/18/15 and 09/20/15 for a short vacation over the weekend. I had a great time on the beach and in Miami in general but a lot of unpleasant memories come to mind when I recall the hostel I stayed at. I choose it because I relied on the misleading reviews I read here. The whole place had a weird vibe to it, the entrance is unmarked and in an alley and through a keypadded door. Up an elevator and then through another locked door that you need a card for. Unisex showers and bathrooms BTW, no biggie I guess. That along with the 11:30 curfew, and the no guests allowed made the place feel more like a summer camp/ prison than a Hostel. There was no communal feel to the place. From there it was downhill. Amazing how no matter what things can always get worse, right? My friend and I saw cockroaches on the floor, and found one in a shoe. The bathroom stalls next to our bunks were too small to close the door when sitting (Ill attach a picture). The hand rail to the pool was broken and severely rusted ( 2nd picture). Not a big deal but overly dilapidated indeed. But worst of all I feel I was scammed out of the $50 deposit they make you pay, one way or another. The morning of checkout I couldnt find my key to the locker. I looked everywhere but couldnt find it so I talked to Monica at the reception. She said they would have to cut the lock and that I would lose the deposit. So they cut the lock, I got my stuff and went back to check out and Monica was holding the missing key. She said that it was in the front desk the whole time and that a maid turned it in earlier. She said because they had it the whole time, I wouldnt lose the deposit. 5 minutes later she called over to me, and said that she would end up charging me the deposit, despite having already taking responsibility for not remembering a key was found.Look elsewhere.

Really nice hostel. It’s very clean and looks brand new. There’s a lot of partyhostels in South Beach and this is different there’s room for both party and relaxation. The atmosphere is good but I have experienced better, it may be different when all beds are booked (there’s quite few people right now.Location is insane! You can almost see the beach from the hostel, and it is located very close to both dining and bars. All in all great hostel.

It is almost a great hostel. Upstairs is very stylish, it has a pool, the service is good. Two things made me give it two stars. Firstly it cost $70 for a bed in a dorm room, so expectations were high. Then the main point: it is hard to find any sleep. There are more than fifty people in the single dorm room. There is always someone either coming in late or leaving early. Drawers under beds slide open and shut. A guy was kicked out with a big altercation at 3am while sleeping nude. That sort of thing. A harsh rating but I think justified.
