Portofino in Hamilton

Amazing food. We had pasta Alfredo and Luciana. The tiramisu dessert was also delicious, not too sweet and with fresh fruits. Service was also great. We highly recommend this place.

Lovely experience at Portofino.The portion sizes were very generous and the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and we will definitely be coming back to try more.They also catered for vegans and gluten free vegans which was a great bonus as two of our party are vegan (they don’t specify this on the menus but the staff were very accommodating). They had gluten-free pizza bases and egg-free pasta if you’d want this, but you’d need to specify.We definitely recommend coming here if you’re nearby.

I love it here! The dessert menu hasnt changed in 45 years - you know why? Because its perfect. The food, the staff, and the ambiance exceed expectations every time. My family has been going here for over 20 years and look forward to it year after year.

Don’t know since I didn’t eat there. I was seated and waiters walked around me for 10 min, no water, no place settings, no drink order, no menu. I just got up and left. I don’t think anyone noticed.

Amazing Italian owned Italian restaurant. The atmosphere cant be beat in the evening. The food was stellar. Drinks were excellent too. Well keep coming back.

Went there for a job party, on such short notice for a group of 15 the service was amazing, if they had more notice it wouldve been even better. The waiter was very personable and polite. The food was excellent, it tasted as delicious as it looks. Very rare for that to happen. Could use some work on their virgin mojitos.

Fantastic service, even met the chef after service

Just had an amazing dinner at Portofino on my first night in Bermuda. The food and wine was amazing. I went back to buy some of the famous Portofino Caesar salad dressing and a bottle of Cabernet for a little party we had at our hotel. Definitely dont miss this restaurant when youre in Hamilton!

Prices are skyrocketing but the portions are consistent. Chefs are willing to prepare food to ordered desirability.

Having been born and raised in Bermuda, this was my go to restaurant and after all these years it is still consistently great. Whenever I am in Bermuda Portofino is a must for me. I highly recommend if you live Italian.

Portofino has the the best pizza in town. The workers are very friendly and welcoming. Portofino is great for any event . Great family restaurant. Great experience, you must visit this restaurant when you are in bermuda.

I love their Chicken Alfredo with garlic bread you wont regret it and you got to try their pizzas also.

I love this place, the owners and staff. Always make sure we come here when we are in town. The waitstaff, setup folks and owner were awesome. Thank for beautiful, great tasting lunch.

Lovely spot, nice atmosphere and very friendly service. The drinks were superb, although the pizza was pretty disappointing so Id recommend avoiding that.

Genuine Italian restaurant in Hamilton. Service was excellent. I had the ravioli with mushrooms (Tortelloni on the menu), and my spouse had the Ravioli di Branzino (sea bass ravioli), which were both excellent! Dessert was a tiramisu cake with a berry garnish, and the lemoncello after dinner was excellent!!

So nice. For our anniversary, we chose Portofino, and walked in right at opening and got an outside table. Safe and nice atmosphere, excellent service, and tasty quality food brought out in a reasonable time.

Friendly staff in a nicely decorated Italian spot. Gazpacho and fish were spot on, and the chocolate dessert was delicious and great way to end the meal. Very reasonably priced considering the location

Great decor. Nice cozy feeling inside.One of the servers tried to have us sit at the tiniest table while a lot of seating was available.The green salad was good but the paella was horrible.I wouldnt go back, gotta be better places in Hamilton.

Bermuda as everyone knows is expensive to dine out. So after 3 days of Bermuda vacation this was the first place that had flavor. My family of 4 was so blessed by their authentic Italian food. From top to bottom it was worth the money (not even that expensive compared with your typical eatery on the island).

Im visiting Bermuda for a week and this restaurant is the BEST Ive tasted on this island so far. This was actually the best Italian food I ever had (and Ive had a lot living in NYC). Everything about this place was perfect. The BEST dishes my family had was the "Luciana" and the "Salmon alla vodka." For dessert we got the molten lava cake which sealed the deal. We all got drinks (old fashioned, cosmos, margaritaand they were superb. For the price you pay, it is totally worth it. A lot of other restaurants in Hamilton cost the same as this place, but are not nearly as good. You will not regret giving this place a try :)

My goodness — I could have spent the entire dinner service observing the photos on the wall. Stunning!Food was okay — nothing to write home about, but the wine was really great!100% get dessert. It was the best part of the entire meal!!!

Don’t know what happened to their pizza. It used to be the best on the island. Always crispy and just the right amount of everything on it. It reminded me of my favorite pizza from back home. Now it reminds me of a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Hopefully they will go back to the previous cook. If not I guess I’ll be goin somewhere else.

Great place with delicious food, friendly stuff and amazing atmosphere.We had a family dinner this week and it was absolutely wonderful experience.Food was very tasty, menu had a lot of options - from Italian icons like pizzas and pastas to international favorites - mini burgers with fries. Customization available which is helpful if you have food allergies or special dietary requirements.Must have when you are on the island and looking for a solid options.I will definitely come back for more.

I had an anniversary dinner here and it was very good. The server was very knowledgeable and was really helpful I was a bit disappointed that there was no table setting this would have added to the decor of the restaurant. I had the Bermuda fish chowder to start the tuna tartare for a second course and lamb chops for my main... The soup was very appetizing however the tuna tartare and the lamb chops not sure if it was the sauce but it was a bit salty, I would also recommend getting new steak knives as it was cutting into my lamb. We had also called ahead to make the reservations which I had stated that I have a shellfish allergy but on arrival no one had asked so that was a downfall for me as well.but all in all it was a very good experience I would definitely return to give you guys a second try. The icing on the cake was when the server sang for us which was really nice.

Our go to pizza place on the island. Everyone seems to have very strong opinions about what Italian restaurant is the best. Portofino has consistently served us quality food at a fair price.

Fantastic food and great service!

Loved it. The service was first and foremost excellent. We ordered the special sausage pizza & the catch of the day & green salad. The fish was fresh & the salad dressing was great. Highly recommend!

Second time visiting. Food was just as excellent both times. They make a number of the Italian dishes that you would expect anytime you go to an Italian restaurant. The menu has shrunk from the last time I was there but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Food is still great just less options. The staff is friendly and helpful but can be slow at times. Will definitely go again. Prices are expensive compared to the States but about on par for what you can expect from an island like Bermuda.

Absolutely love this place.The last time we were in Bermuda We had considered coming to this place over two years ago but Never got around to it. It was on our wish list if we ever made it to Hamilton. Today the wait is over... We both got the Carbonara. And simple of a dish people may feel it is. These people brought it to a new level. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. This place is a must

Great italian restaurant in Hamilton. I had the minestrone. It was somewhat different from the usual but very tasty. The margherita was also delicious. It is close to the centre and ferry dock. They have some quite interesting pizzas and pastas on their menu. Highly recommended.

I have been patronizing this business for over 20 years for an authentic Italian experience.Take Out section is so convenient but because they switch out chefs frequently the food can be hit and miss. Just a few nights ago they were out of gluten free pasta, so I could not order my usual. Frustratingly, I could not order my back up dish either because they were out of advocados as well.Multiple times I have been handed the wrong order, not discovering until I was long home...now I ask them to show me inside the container before I leave.Kudos to the staff who are out shining the flaws and inconsistencies of others.Good luck - Lets do better Bermuda 😊

First meal in Bermuda, and it didnt disappoint! Courgette souffle, and mushroom tortelloni, were very tasty and hit the spot for a vegetarian. Add in the fantastic staff, making it a night to remember.

Delicious food. Great service. Staff are very friendly. We enjoyed everything we ordered at first lunch and ended up coming back once for dinner and once for desserts. Pizza is great. Ravioli is also really good.

Absolutely delicious. Excellent service. Its got all the things youd want in a restaurant! The food there makes me feel like Im in Italy. Very authentic! Recommended if your in Bermuda and are looking for good food!

Been at Bermuda for a few days and all the meals were pretty average until we ate at Protofino. We were just walking around and wanted Italian food and decided to give it a try here. The restaurant is nicely decorated with lots of pictures regarding Italy. The service was very nice there and the environment was good. When we tried our food, we knew we had picked the right place. The taste is very similar to the ones we had in Italy when we went there. That brought back some memories of our trip. We had a good time there and thanks for making our last meal at Bermuda a good one.

Very poor service. Very cramped and small tables. Waited over 15 min to get a menu. Waitstaff was very rude. After finishing our drinks we were never asked for more. We sat there with empty drinks until food was done. Food was pretty good but nothing spectacular. Pretty over priced for the portion size compared to other restaurants in Bermuda. Would not recommend unless getting take out.

Great meal, staff was wonderful, will come back! I have fettuccine with chicken dish, he had a chicken dish and got spaghetti as the side!

Wonderful pasta and wonderful staff. Incredibly flavorful, with a great variety. The seafood here is fresh, rich and incorporated perfectly into every dish. We had the Luciana and Portofina and both were decadent but without feeling blown up afterwards. Would highly recommend!

This restaurant was recommended to us. We had a reservation for 8pm. I had clearly stated on open table that it was our anniversary and they chose to seat us on top of another couple even though the restaurant was not full. Our drink order was taken and the drinks were great. However that was the first and last time we were offered a drink and I ate my meal without anything to drink... our meals were fantastic. Caesar salad, chicken piccata, lasagne.In a nut shell... the service is not where it should be.

Look, do yourself a favor. If the have a grilled seafood special GET IT. We had the special with grilled wahoo, rock fish, shrimp, and scallops tossed in this white wine sauce with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies. Its been weeks since we were there and we STILL talk about it!

After a friend recommended this place as an excellent nearby place that could accommodate our group of 6, we walked over from the docks and were seated immediately. All of the food was incredible, and a nice change from the traditional seafood and British fare served elsewhere. I highly recommend the Carbonara, although their scallop fettuccine special and flatbreads are wonderful, too.

Loved the authenticity of this cosy Italian restaurant. The staff are pleasant and the food is beyond good. Portions are generous and prices are very decent for Bermuda standards. Plate of penne pasta is around $24. Would definitely​ go back again.
