Definitely worth a visit. It is located on a hilltop. As we came from the back, we had to climb a few stairs. There are beautiful flying buttresses inside and wonderful Azuelo murals. We spent about an hour admiring and walking through the church.

Well worth the €3 entry fee - a very interesting cathedral showing several different styles of architecture. Beautiful blue tiles, and some informative displays. The highlight is the view from the top of the tower, its a bit of a climb up a very steep staircase, but you can see almost all of Porto, the Douro and Gaia. A great way to see the city at the start of a trip to Porto!

Beautiful place to visit. The stone walls and tile paintings create a unique atmosphere. For the price of 3€ per person it should be definitely on the list of places to see in Porto

What a beautiful place! It feels like something out of this world. There are about 5 or 6 rooms you can visit.

Beautiful cathedral with sweeping views of the city and several areas to stroll through and learn about the history of Porto. It also costs just 3 euros and is one of the best values for money for tourists. Its centrally located and has a nice view point at the main floor level.

Its sad that this small Cathedral isnt better cared for! It seems rather dirty in certain areas and a lot of the gold is black and could do with a good clean. The tiles on the walls around the closters are interesting. The entrance to the Cathedral isnt clearly marked and the ramps are quite steep. Disappointing!

€3 entrance fee to access the cathedral and roof until 6pm and 6.30pm respectively.Scant public information available.Stunning mosaics, and the cathedrals interior is quite beautiful. From the roof there is a panoramic view of Porto city. There are no toilets. Lots of stone steps. Not accessible. Plenty of seating.

Overcrowded plaza filled with tourists & interpreters. Difficult to access & see the Cathedral. Loud music & musicians spoiling the ambiance. Very disappointing

This is the one must see church in Porto as it has a rich history and is absolutely beautiful. Make sure you make the trip up the stairs to the highest level for some spectacular views. Please visit this one church.

Very nice cathedral and its monastery. The central courtyard is beautiful and gives access to many other rooms and chapels. You can also access the top of the Bell tower and get a nice view. You can also buy the full tour ticket for 6€ which gives access to the Palace next to the cathedral. Its an important spot to visit, definitely recommended.

Very cheap compared to important cathedrals in Spain, so i really liked it. And also inside is very big, the cathedral is nice, around the cathedral is a very nice view of Porto, some music and tourists. Inside the cathedral, there are the blue art called "azulejos" are very prominent so it is totally worth seeing!

An incredible place. It is one of the most interesting cathedrals I have ever visited. You have the opportunity to see every detail in the tiles and in the architecture. With the ticket and at no additional cost, as part of the tour you can climb the tower and appreciate incredible views of Porto. It is well worth visiting the place and learning a little more about the local history through its walls.

Beautiful architecture but don’t think it’s a must go inside place. My favorite view is from the tower that you can scale up via several tall flights of stairs. If you are into the history and religious component then this will probably be a hit.

Not the most amazing cathedral I’ve seen, but one of the more interesting places we visited in the city. The blue tiles made it very unique and there are nice views, especially from the top of the tower. Worth a visit as there’s not much else to do in the city.

The Porto Cathedral.Amazing area to look over the city of Porto. In this area you will find a church where you can enter by going into the building next to it.There is a tour going from this building on the right side of the church. You will be going up and down some stairs, visiting some rooms. You will find a staircase going up to a higher level, that can take you even higher to a tower, to see over the whole city. When going down again to the ground floor, you will see an entrance to the church.Going out of the church, will lead you back to the exit door again. It cost us €3 each to go inside.

Porto Cathedral, the Sé, did not fascinate me for the interior but for its dominant position over the city, on the Douro river, on the large terraced churchyard that offers wonderful views of the city. The visit of the Sé requires an entrance to the nearby archbishops palace, which deserves to see the inner cloister with some walls covered with azulejos; the cathedral is austere, except for a few golden altars in Baroque style. Surely the climb to the towers satisfies the ticket because it offers wonderful and complete views of the historic centre of Porto

A visit to the landmark historic Porto cathedral is an absolute must. The Gothic & Romanesque styled architecture is magnificent & captivating. Take some time to comb through the interiors of the church & the courtyard with the azulejo tiles. We spent most of the afternoon here & it was a great experience to take in. Its about a 5 minute walk from Sao Bento station.

A really incredible place set atop a hill so it has great views from around the building. Totally worth the 3 euros to go inside to see the beautiful tile work and arches and then to climb the tower. The panoramic views up there are incredible.

Beautiful cathedral with a very cute square behind it. We went there and just stood in the square for a while, gazing at the architecture. There was a guy playing the guitar and singing Imagine. There was a cool breeze cause it’s right next to the river. You can walk to the bridge from here. Such a great vibe being there! These places are so old, yet so beautiful and preserved so well. Loved every bit of it.Must visit!!

The Se Cathedral in Porto was really stunning architecturally and with regards to the Baroque gilded inlays and blue and white Azulejos (tiles). There are also really fantastic views from the square outside. We wish there had been a pamphlet or self-guided tour available (if there was one, we werent made aware of itto help give us a better idea of what we were looking at throughout the massive structure. Additionally, the main nave in one of the side chapels had a really strong foul odor that made it difficult to enjoy the experience in that particular chapel. Overall, still worth a visit.

Use the Porto card to get €2off the actual price ( ticket is €6 / adult), child is free. Must climb up the staircases to reach the top of the cathedral for the city views. Just go up any staircases you see which is not block off, different things to look at.

Finally visited the church, the Porto Cathedral. The church a (mustsee while in Porto. What an amazing experienced seeing inside the church. Inside the Cathedral youll see the silver altar that holds interesting story. Youll find beautiful Sacred art museum and Gothic cloisters. The architecture indoors are magnificent. While inside the church try to go up through the stairs on the way to the top where youll see the amazing panoramic view of the entire city of Porto and its worth it.

Wow, Porto Cathedral is beautiful with Baroque architecture, Romanesque and Gothic elements. Construction began in 1110 and was finished in 1737. There are Portuguese tiles in some parts.

The outside is what it is but inside it is beautiful, great tiles and the conference-room has a beautiful sealing, stunning views tower. Be on time, tower is closing early at 17.45. Next door is the palace of the bishop, that is a very humble big palace.

Beautiful cathedral completed on 1737 with nice cloister. Tickets for 3€ but it is worth paying them as besides visiting the cloister and cathedral itself you can climb one or the two towers to get amazing views of the Douro river and city. Don’t miss visiting it!

It costs 3 euros per adult to get in and frankly was expecting a lot more in terms of grandeur and opulence. The space behind the alter was being revamped and had been replaced with a large picture. Best part are the views from the top of the towers though you need to be prepared to do some climbing to see the views.

Very pretty historical center with a an imposing Cathedral in the middle and a nice mirador from which you can overlook the Douro and some parts of the old harbor and oldest parts of the city. From there on can take those medieval intricate narrow streets down to the margins of the Douro. Definitely worth seeing, even though there are more impressive churches and miradores in the city. Also, careful with potential pick pockets specially in the later afternoon / evening hours.
