The best turkey croissant sandwiches! Yep .and of course their world famous potato balls , the cakes omg ! The cakes, the cheese rolls ! Holy moley ! Why diabetes why ? Just stop by eat outside and enjoy the scenery , come alone so you dont have to share the food 😉 🙂 I did !

Great food, excellent atmosphere, great service 🍽️🥙🍽️ the carrot cake is bomb, cookie, and the matcha tea latte are wonderful. Fun at the bakery and cafe ☕️ meat pastries are unique with the variety of food choices. Breakfast stops at at 11am so the lunch menu was utilized. True fan of this place and will return ❤️

Ordered Refugiado (guava and cheese strudel), very tasty and a good combination of sweet and salty flavors. Also the Papa Rellena(potato ballwith either turkey, ground beef, or cheese are very tasty. My special favorite is their QUESADILLA, a CAKE that is a bit sweet and with a cheese taste 😋. My family enjoyed eating the cheese rolls as well. Can’t wait to come back to try more of their pastries😊.

One of the best cafe i have tried in LA. The baked items and sandwiches are all a must try. The price is very nominal with great quality and taste.

This place is bomb. Whats not to like. Their pastries are baked by the devil himself.Everything is good, fresh and delicious. Fairly priced too.My favorites are the chocolate croissants, the egg fancy, the berry muffins and the tamales.The guava lemonade is something else too.Get there early to be avoid the crowd.Dont go there hungry!

Portos is an amazing Cuban bakery with both sweet and savory offerings. My personal favorites are the potato balls, guava strudel, chicken coquette, and meat pie. However, the sandwiches and cakes are awesome too. As far as sandwiches go, try the Cubano or the Medianoche served with a side of plantain chips.There are now a handful of Portos Bakery locations throughout Los Angeles County. Here, I am paying homage to the original in the city of Glendale.

Heard many things about Porto’s when in California. Stayed in Glendale so I was glad I’m checking this bakery off my list!Ordered their guacamole omelette sandwich. It was good, the only thing was the guacamole was a little sour for my liking. Perhaps because of lemon juice ingredient? Overall it was filling for a breakfast sandwich. Our uber driver recommended us to get their guava strudel and it did not disappoint! Their horchata cold brew and that was great too! 💯We arrived the cafe around 930am on a Monday and it wasn’t that busy. Shortly after, the line was already long and there’s a bit of a wait outside the shop as well. Come early to avoid lines!

Wow thats a good place! Very busy ! Even if you order a pickup an hour before coming youll still wait there. But its worth it! Everything was tasty ! Definitely recommended

the cakes are amazing, and the potato and cheese balls are the only savory items you should order. seafood ball and croquet are disgusting. make sure youre ready to wait an hour when you come here -1 star and make sure you feed your parking meter for at least an hour. the staff is generally nice (but Ive for sure gotten better friendlier service at even mcdonalds), but they spend more time socializing -1 star and theres no sense of urgency (as in your paying for parking while they laugh and giggle with each other behind the counter). also they play super favoritism, so if its a close friend of theirs that comes in, dont be surprised if they get to cut the line in front of you (id deduct another star here, but their cakes are just too good, ecru cake it dosent matter)

portos is deserving of all the love of has. every single pastry/dish i tried here was so good and at such great prices, i was speechless!fyi, there’s two lines out the door, just choose the shorter one since they both serve the same thingsguava cheese pastry: light, fluffy, chewy, flaky, but crispy on the outside! the guava cheese isn’t overpowering nor too sweet. a must try!potato ball: filled with marinated ground beef, juicy and flavorful!croissant: this one i think you could skip. it was too soft for my liking and reminiscent of grocery store croissantsspinach feta pastry: sooo good, a must get to pair with the sweeter guava cheese pastry. the pastry was flaky and the filling was amazing

A very popular bakery with five or more shops in Greater LA. This location is very conveniently accessed from I-210. The store is large, brightly lit, clean, with a lot of tables for eating in.There are lines to make purchase but the wait is short. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and helpful. The variety of danishes and cakes is very large and apparently kept fresh. Had samples of danishes and they were very good.We parked on the street about 100 feet from store front. In and out within 15 minutes several bags of danishes. It was a very satisfying visit.

Love this bakery, it is my favourite one to go to. So many different things to try and theyre all delicious. Theyre open nice and early and even then youll have a line up already.Very clean place, lots of seating, and there are two lines to order from, one is in the other room.

Just order everything. You will not be disappointed. But my favorite is the potatoes balls, cheese rolls and chocolate chip cookies. This is a must visit when in LA.

Portos Bakery and Cafe gotta be the best bakery in LA in terms of the value you get for the overall experience, very efficient and friendly service, cheap but tasty pastries.This Glendale location is clean, spacious, with plenty of seats both inside and outside in a large parklet. The bakery has several lines with a large selection of pastries and sandwiches. I got four pieces of pastries: a butter croissant, an almond croissant, a pineapple empanada, and a spinach feta empanada. A box of delicious, hearty pastries for less than $7, the value is simply through the roof. I also had a Ropa Vieja (flank steaksandwich, which was pretty enjoyable and filling too.

Best Cuban food you can get in LA!!! Love this place, I always walk out with bags of goodies. I highly recommend. Just know they get busy at any of their locations. But well worth it!

Amazing place and worth the long line if there is one! We went three times on our trip to Glendale. In our trips we ordered the Torrejas French toast, Cubano sandwich, ham and cheese croissant, meat pies, chicken empanada, ham croquettes, cheese rolls, besitos, blueberry amd cheese Danish, and cheese balls. Every single item was delicious!

This specific Porto’s location in Glendale is my favorite! I’ve been coming here for years and their food never disappoints! Although the long lines can be disappointing at times. It gets very busy depending on what day and time you visit. Definitely recommend going during the week if you don’t want to deal with a line or crowds.My go to items are the Chicken empanadas and carrot cake slice! Literally obsessed with their chicken empanadas, I highly recommend trying it at least once! I’ve also tried a variety of their other cake slices and pastry items. Their potato balls are also a pretty good option too.Prices are pretty fair for what you get. And the service at this location has always been good!

Delicious Les leches cake , but can be seen in the picture that the top part wasnt soaked in milk so it was very dry

We had high hopes for Portos because it was highly recommended. We went for breakfast, and it was BUSY! While the staff was very nice, it was confusing for a first-timer to figure out where to order (there are several counterswith the long lines. With the music and crowd noise, it was also hard to hear, and I wound up getting something different than I ordered because the staff member and I were struggling to understand each other. The pastries and sandwiches were good, but the confusion took away from the experience.Update: Portos reached out with a sincere apology about the confusion when the learned about the mistake. Their excellent customer service is exemplary! It was appreciated so much.

I only have 2 words to describe Portos Bakery and Cafe.........Fresh & Beautiful. From the time you walk in the door...all you smell is is the fresh goodness piping put of there. Wafting around you once you enter. The music is playing and just surrounds you. I mean ...its great. And the staff....impeccable. its amazing and My favorite is the Mango Mousse Cake. I picked one up today for my birthday. And I got a free chocolate chip cookie out of the blue. They can always have my business. Love Portos.

Yes, Portos is ALWAYS worth the wait. Besides, the service is pretty quick, and the waits are never too long to me. Whether youre waiting for a fresh, hot meal, some pastries/handheld baked goods, or a full-sized cake, you wont be disappointed.

We stopped by to pick up a few treats and I’m glad we did. They were the perfect amount of sweetness! The coffee was subpar but overall I really liked there baked goods.

All the Portos are great, the advantage of the one located in glendale is the nice enviroment and restaurant size. Come here for a delicious breakfast. Youll have to make a 10-15 minutes line to order but it is well worth the wait. Then the ataff will give you an order/table tracker to get you your plates and beverages.The cuban is always good but the cuban french toast is insane! Good, pretty and affordable makes visiting Portos a pleasant experience

Delicious bakery with fresh pastries, sandwiches and desserts. Loved the tamales, meat pies, and the seafood potato croquette. It was so good we came back again on our trip. The prices of all the items are really fairly priced as well!

It has the best cakes in town, very crowded, you need to get here fast before cakes are gone, it also serves lunch including sandwiches, drinks soups and salads, you can have weddings cakes here too

I usually dont trust bakeries that have a huge selection but this place is AMAZING! So many different options, and nothing we got was a miss. Most of the pastries are $1-2 so you really get whatever you want. The puff pastry was so well done. I have zero idea how they produce such high quality food at such volume.The place does get crowded but dont worry, it is run with an extremely high efficiency. It is worth the wait!

So good! We have been Portos Bake At Home customers since receiving a gift certificate in 2020. This was our first visit to the Bakery & Cafe. I am glad we did. Everything was delicious. We ordered the ropa vieja and lechon plates and several items from the bakery. Everything was remarkable and the staff is so friendly. It was well worth the 6-hour drive for us.

I love Portos. I usually only go to their Burbank location but the quality was just as excellent here as it is there. The service was fast, friendly and efficient.Its such a smart idea to give the workers behind the counter tablets to take the orders and ring it up then bring your food over. And its great that you can order cafe food while youre in the bakery line so you dont have to go into different lines for different things.I took my food to-go but I did see seating outside as well as inside. I dont know if they were checking indoor diners for their vaccination cards, though.If Glendale werent so damn far away, Id definitely come more often.Overall 5/5 stars for service and quality.

Good location, this is one place where to get great food. Everything they sell is tasting exceptional, most of the food is organic and the price is right, less expensive than others but better quality. And it looks like a lot of people like the quality since the place was packed. The store is split into Bakery and Restaurant, so eating on the spot is a great option, but also, getting food, cookies and cakes for later is another option. Visiting LA area should always include a meal at Portos!

Great place, arranged lines for order and takeout orders. Dedicated 1 personnel from receiving orders to payout and takeout orders.Delicious yet affordable price. Their signature pastry is the cheese rolls, flaky yet delicious cheese fillings with no aftertaste butter sticking to your palate.

Who doesn’t love Porto’s? It’s an LA institution! I don’t think there is anything on the menu I wouldn’t eat but I recommend the cheese rolls, coconut strudel and the “ropa vieja” sandwich. You can’t go wrong at portos. Expect a line but it moves fast.

I had a family friend bring this from North Carolina to have me try it and it was bomb. Now that I am on a trip to LA, thought I would travel to taste it baked at the spot. FOOD WAS AMAZING, the potato balls were very warm and soft, grilled chicken sandwich was very savory, flavorful and the chili sauce gave a good hint of spice, the mango smoothie was fresh and smooth. Finally the pastries they were nice and gave me a satisfying sweet tooth. So far I have been eating here through out long trip and would always have this as my favorite bakery. Thank you Noel for having us in your bakery and his fellow workers Oscar, and the waiter sorry if I didn’t catch your name, but overall the best bakery I’ve ever had!!!

My friend invited me to have sandwiches at this place, and it was amazing food experience, I tried the beef sandwich and they had the cheese one! They both were great, and i ended up buying dozens of pastries 🥮 to take them back home to Texas. 😅🥰

Decided to order online. Got a few favorites and then tried the turkey and gravy ball, it was tasty. One of the employees helpfully guided me to the online order pickup line. It was a bit frustrating though when I got back to my hotel and went through the boxes right before leaving the state. I was not given all of my order. They did not give me 2 of the 9 almond croissants. Not happy about that PORTOS.

Having had Porto’s food at parties or ordered online for delivery many times in the past, I’m realizing I had never actually been inside a Porto’s. I wanted several items for a family gathering this weekend and ordered online for pickup from Glendale. I wasn’t disappointed! It’s amazing the scale at which they pump out wonderful food quickly and efficiently with multiple lines running and dine in as well. Staff were helpful and courteous, and I’ll certainly be back.

Favorite bakery in LA! I’ve never had an item that’s not tasty and flavorful from this place. Super affordable and generous portions. Love their sandwiches and pastries. Some favorite are the cheese roll, love the caramelized sugar coating on the surface with salty filling. Also love the dulce de leche filled cookies can’t get enough of those. Love the feta sandwich too simple yet delicious.

Porto’s is an LA staple and this location is always fast and efficient. We typically order pickup Togo and while there is no car pickup like Burbank there is usually ample parking and the staff fields the orders quickly. Highly recommend the potato balls , fruit tart , carrot cake , and meat pies!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 can eat entire box! Cheese rolls are buttery with just a hint of sweetness outside and the inside is more savory. Guava cheese rolls weren’t as consistent where the filling is only on half of the pastry.Ambience: 4/5 organized chaos. Signs on where to go but people walking everywhere. Menu always has nice fontsService: 5/5 quick and to the point. No small talk which is understandable for the number of customersValue for price: 5/5 price has gone up a little but worth every cent. Since it’s a chain bakery, they can afford to be cheaper due to amount of sales.

The food was pretty good! I ordered the chicken croissant sandwich, and mashed potatoe balls. Which were amazing! Lines look long but they move quickly! Staff is efficient

This is definitely a great one stop shop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had to go in and try after hearing about the food. I tried the Ropa Vieja Pla as well as the Lechón Torta with a few of their delicious appetizers, potato cheesy ball and the the pepper and cheese one with a chicken empanada. Definitely a good delicious lunch.

When you drive 400+ miles just to have some of this amazing Cuban food. This place reminds me of home (Florida). Their Cuban sandwich, guava lemonade, almond croissant and pork plate are the best!It’s hard to find parking up front so just go around the block and park in the back of the restaurant.
