Absolutely incredible! Been anxiously awaiting a chance to try this place and it did not disappoint. The food was outstanding. I seriously would like to try every dish on the menu. I also hear that sitting at the bar to watch the magic happen in the kitchen is also an absolute must. I can’t say enough things about the lovely atmosphere and just the phenomenal flavors incorporated into each dish. Can’t wait to come back!

Ive been to Porch Light 4x in the past but havent been back in many months due to the pandemic. Was really excited to find out that intermittent dine-in service is being offered. Our food didnt last long enough to photograph. Had the steak pinchos and the confit duck fried rice. Engaged staff, great food, cute and cozy atmosphere. Nothing pretentious and the ambience is perfect for a night out or date night.

This place is worth waiting for. We’ve been several times for dinner and it’s been memorable each time. The food is consistently delicious. We always need to get the corn. The can-can pork chop isn’t for everybody, but if you’re willing to be adventurous, you need to try it. It’s well worth it. The short rib is another staple. The signature cocktails compliment the menu as well. I love the Paloma. Reservations are recommended for any night, but I got to sneak in for lunch over the weekend and they were out of the mahi tacos so they offered shrimp instead. It’s the best taco I’ve had in Atlanta (hands down). Go here. You won’t regret it.

First time in from out of town. Came in starving. Order a salad expecting it to be huge but it wasn’t and I didn’t touch it. (Not because it was bad but I needed food and this salad wasn’t it)However, when I told them I really didn’t want the salad they swapped it out for the beer can chicken burrito.Really really good flavor.Chicken was tender and flavorful.Service is very fast.Great for an on the go lunch.Sorry I was moody servers.:(

Cute and cozy location. The service was great. Our server was super friendly and did a great job of answering our questions and describing the dishes. The food was good (not exactly like you can get in Puerto Rico but definitely close enoughwe didn’t order any drinks but they had some good options. We started with the empanadas and carne frita. Both were good and flavorful. I ordered some corn and it was spicy but delicious. The Mac& cheese and the Pork Chop can can are great choices as well. I’ll be back to try more items and definitely check out some drinks.Great atmosphere. The partial open kitchen is nice. The decor is super cute as well.

My family is from Puerto Rico and I can tell you the food here was not only similar to the cuisine on the island but pretty darn delicious. I had the rib eye dinner special which was scrumptious. The empanada appetizer was delicious as were the yuca, fried plantains and mac and cheese. The chef was very friendly and makes his precense known in the delightfully decorated restaurant. Well worth the 30 or so minute drive from Atlantas midtown area.

The owner works right with his staff inspecting each plate as it passes through the serving station and makes his rounds around the place as well making a point to speak to all his guests. Servers are very friendly and attentive and the food is phenomenal! Great place for a nice date or more casual dining with friends

Excellent food and friendly service. The biggest thing missing is atmosphere and presentation. Everything seemed a little old and dated. Since it is so casual it is a good place for dinner with the kids.

Everything was delicious as usual. We sat on the porch, which is first come first serve. Try the beer brined chicken, sweet plantains, rice and beans, Mac and cheese, yuca fries. Didnt have a chance to take a pic of the Tres Leches cake, it was too delicious!

I saw Chef Andre Gomez on Man Fire Food the other day and decided to go check out this restaurant. I went with a coworker for lunch. We ordered the plantain and pork cheek empanadas for an appetizer, I had the ribs and my buddy ordered a sandwich. The empanadas came with an avocado aoli which was awesome and the ribs were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with some serious smoky goodness. The bread on the sandwich was incredible, definitely tasted like it was homemade.

I have been wanting to try this place since it was featured on a local restaurant show and it was worth the wait!! Everything we had was delicious and full of flavor! Very authentic Puerto Rican food. Cute interior with bright colors. Makes you feel like you are on the island!Food...I had the beer can chicken burrito and it was delicious. Lots of chicken, rice and green salsa. I split it and was able to try the triple torta as well....loved the pork. So much flavor. Crispy bits. Lots of salty goodness. The egg adds to the richness. The bread is so light and doesnt overpower or dull the flavors. We also tried the steak skewers and empanadas to start. Great for sharing. The steak was so tender and perfectly charred. It was one of my favorite things. For sides, we split corn, plantains, yuca fries, mac & cheese, and tostones. Everything was excellent. I REALLY liked the the corn. I could come back and eat just the corn and steak skewers. The yuca fries were also great...crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a tasty dipping sauce. The mac & cheese was creamy and rich.We had a couple cupcakes of the tres leches to finish and it was soooo good. It was one of the best tres leches that I have had. Not too sweet. Great texture. For drinks, I really enjoyed my Mula. It was a Mule but with Tequila...really refreshing. Our service was outstanding. We were checked on multiple times. Good frequency for drink refreshes and food was prompt and hot.Cant wait to go back!!

I havent had this much fun just dining out ever; the food is sooo good. The owner and staff are some the best in the business at making you feel welcome and appreciated for dining with them. The whole experience is my new benchmark for how a restaurant should engage its customers. The pig we had was perfectly prepared and cooked. I recommend if you live in Georgia or are visiting to try and make a reservation to experience Porch Light.

My family came for the whole roasted pig. They enjoyed every part of the pig especially the skin, cheeks and the parts close to the pig feet. I dont eat pork so I had one of the specials which was snapper. It was soooo good....Seasoned well! I loved the plantains and corn. The mac and cheese was not that tasty. Overall everyone ate well.

This place is a serious gem in Smyrna. I’ve been working through the menu but everything I’ve had here has been great. The food tastes like the owner’s grandmother is back there in the kitchen preparing the food. It tastes home cooked with flair. Tried the plantain empanadas filled with pork cheek, the beer can chicken, the duck confit fried rice and the fried plantains with rum sauce. I will be dreaming of the plantains! Hands down, the best I’ve had in the city. And that rum sauce, so mellow yet flavorful. I was also incredibly impressed with the duck confit fried rice, like clean the plate and the spoon impressed. The dish packed such a punch but didn’t land heavy at the bottom of your stomach. Great cocktail menu too. Really great find in the Latin cuisine here in Atlanta.

Everything was on point. This is one of the best places Ive ever eaten. Nothing was over-cooked, everything was spiced to perfection. We enjoyed a queso appetizer and I ordered Mahi fish tacos for my main. My friend ordered the torta pork sandwich. The chef let us have a complementary kale side which was hands down the best kale Ive ever had. I will come back and bring more people. Love!

This is one of the best dining experiences in Smyrna. The food is unexpected for such a small unremarkable building in the Smyrna Market Village. Its cozy and casual, and the staff treats you like family. Original cocktails and local craft beers. The menu has some mainstays like the pork chop (largest and most flavorful cut of pork youll eat in your life...just before your heart attack). But the chef mixes it up regularly so its worth going back frequently. With a couple days notice, they will also order and cook a whole pig for a party of 8 to 12 hungry diners.Whatever you eat here is guaranteed to inspire you to tell others about it. This is one you should put on your calendar as soon as you can as it seems the secret is out. I would advise calling ahead too.

Sat at bar and ate twice here in the last 2 weeks. I really like this place! The chef, Andre Gomez, gives you personal attention. Chef and staff are attentive and genuinely want you to enjoy the food and experience. Conch fritters were good though some people dont like conch so keep that in mind. Whole fried fish is so perfect-it doesnt need accompanying sauce. The sauce on its own is delicious just think the fish is rich enough on its own. The El Chapo cocktail is delicious. They have a solid local beer selection. Red sangria is ok but I was full at the time. Tres leches was delicious. Lovely neighborhood ambiance.

This is by far the my favorite restaurant in Smyrna. Andre is the best and he will go out of his way to make sure your meal is great. Some might argue that the prices are a little high, but youre paying for quality not quantity and PLLKs quality is the best in the area. On discovering the restaurant I ate there every day for over a month straight. Ive had the entire menu multiple times over. If you have a big appetite, I recommended the Can-Can ( a pork chop as big as my arm!or the Tomahawk Ribeye (only an occasional special). I love the corn and the Triple Torta as well. If there are any menu items weaker than the rest, I would say its the Beer Can Chicken Burrito and the salads. Everything else is just terrific.

Shut the front door. It. Was. Amazing.
