4601 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57106, United States, Sioux Falls
Louisiana-accented fast-food chain known for its spicy fried chicken, biscuits & sides.
Great food for it being fast food. I just wouldnt recommend ordering from here later in the night. They forgot any sauces I had picked, only filled the middle sized Mac and cheese 2/3 of the way and seemed very rushed. I dont blame the employees for rushing, since it seems they are understaffed. So, that complaint is more of a general statement to the GM, and other team members involved with scheduling/hiring. Maybe give these employees more help in the later hours as they seemed to need it.
Terrible service, the Chicken tasted stale and cold. Both of my large drinks were flat, my sides tasted like they were a few days old. And the person that helped me didn’t give me a receipt. I was one of the last customers on 10/13/22 at around 9:45. I spent 30 dollars on food that I couldn’t eat. Do not eat at this location if I could give no stars I would.
So far my food has been correct every time and never cold
For the prices I seriously dont think its worth it anymore. I purchased the Cajun rice and it was dry, lacked flavor and for the small little bowl not worth $2.50. The legs my wife received were like Buffalo wing legs.Lobby is currently closed, or at least was when we visited on Oct 7th
Its a Popeyes location, same great chicken sandwiches!
Not the best. The white meat chicken was chewy, I didnt much care for the potatoes. Biscuits were ok with honey. I wont be going back here. The only option for drinks on a kids meal is apple juice. I dont understand why that is.
Didn’t have any of the food I ordered. No chicken sandwiches, no shrimp, no potatoes , and no Mac and cheese. I waited almost 2 hours for my order for it to be cancelled thinking it was coming. Was told to be grateful! Won’t come here it’s no wonder I haven’t even had pop eyes
10 dollars for a 3 piece tenders. One of the pieces were actually in 3 pieces so I ended up with 2 tenders and 3 nuggets. Asked for barbecue didn’t even get it. A total of 2 cars were in line wasn’t even busy. Workers didn’t seem to care about even being there.
Chicken seemed dryer than I’ve had at other locations. Staff was very kind.
I spent 24.5 years in the Military I travel all over the United States. I have eaten in so many different Fast Food establishment that I dont even care to mention. We went thru the drive thru and ordered, it was not busy at all, got our food right away. The only good thing if any was the cold drinks. My wife and I both order the same menu item. It was by far the worst drive thru meal I have had anywhere and I mean anywhere. The entire meal was luke warm at best even the coleslaw that should have been cool. We have been to this location once before and had pretty much the same experience but we thought we would give it another try nevere ever again.
The food was overall very good, and service was quick and friendly, but they missed some very important questions while taking my order. Ordered a 2 pc meal but was not asked dark or light; ended up with light (wouldve ordered dark). Also, I was not asked if I wanted any dipping sauces.Fried chicken was hot, juicy, and crispy. Fries have good seasoning and were cooked properly. The chicken sandwich was delicious and very crispy, but a little bit drier than the competition (CFA).
Dr Pepper was nothing but soda water. No butter no jelly for the biscuit. Tried to call no one would answer the phone mailbox was full.
It was a great place to eat. The chicken and sides were completely fresh and hot and were very juicy and not dry.
Totally unprofessional stopped in last night 7-28-22 lobby was closed the gentleman in the drive through was very unprofessional and kinda rude I understand they are short staffed but no need to talk to a customer like that. Where was the upper management to help. Will not return
Chicken was fried, right! Good customer service! Enjoyed!
The food I received was good for fast food standards. However, the service was very poor. The people ahead of us had their order butchered; the same happened with us and the people behind us.When all was said and done, and I had my food, I thought, "Geez, is everyone here new?" But, as I saw how the General Manager handled this following situation, I realized that that isnt a complete impossibility:A man had received, I assume, an incorrect order and wanted to correct it. The GM quickly made this exchange into a massive argument while the man quietly asked for clarification. Lacking any sense of collaboration or compromise, the GM cursed the man out of the line and ordered the person behind him to order.Witnessing this interaction ruined what was supposed to be a wholesome family outing, and I feel horrible for the man who just wanted the food that he wanted.I will not be returning to this location. I dont recommend dining in.
Lobby was closed. Forced to go through drive thru. When you order a family deal for $28.99 & it comes with 2 large sides & bicuits.....why when ringing up order would you charge $1 extra for Mac & cheese. So what 2 sides come with it for that price ?When I questioned the situation at the window I was bashed for asking. Was told all he does it sell it & on the sign it started that theres an unpcharges. I didnt see it.Either way - the company shouldnt pull these stunts. It causes alot of unnecessary chaos between employees & customers. The man at the window did apologize for snapping at me before we left.
The manager TERRY, SUCKS. Bad attitude. Costumer was waiting for food before we even walked sin, we got our food before him. He asked if his was next and the manager says whats it matters were working on it Not to mention my order was WRONG. Other employees were very helpful, but the manager OVERALL made it very unprofessional and hostile.
Id love to give 0 stars but I cant because it doesnt happen very often but my god. Todays sandwich was TRASH. I wouldnt feed it to my dog and he would eat ANYTHING. It was rubbery on the inside and overcooked on the outside. It literally tasted like it was cooked properly then heated up in the microwave. I will continue to go there because, like I said it doesnt happen very often but thought you should know about today 🤮🤮
The gentleman who took our order was very nice and polite when we came up to order. He thanked us as we were leaving as well. Today was the best meal we have had there and weve been there a few times.
Service can vary at each location. The chicken sandwich is the best in the fast food game.
Ordered a simple meal combo did not get any dipping sauce did not get any utensils how am I supposed to eat coleslaw with my fingers like an animal?
Drive through was slow, food was ok. Chicken was good, but sides were lackluster.
Food was old and dry. The shrimp was overcooked and mostly inedible. No spicy chicken was available, but I should have requested it since then it would have been fresh at least. Chicken pieces are rather small. Ive had these issues with both Popeyes in town. Staffing issues is no excuse.
Popeyes is the best chicken restaurant I have ever been to. The food is reasonably priced and the staff are very nice and welcome. I would say the only downside is that they don’t have enough people to run the registers so the line goes a little slower. But considering the world today that is nothing that they can control.
I am lucky enough to be able to eat here once a week.I get the $4 chicken sandwich that EVERY fast food chain has tried & failed to duplicate. My best friend use to work here, she would bring me a sandwich every day.Now Im addicted to themI get the spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles and it is ALWAYS amazing.Only the Louise Ave branch makes it great without fail.Great job yall!
The absolutely driest chicken ever. I ordered the spicy and only one bite was even close to being spicy.. I dont know why I even came back because 3 months ago I went in there and know one would help out the cashier so he put my chicken basket together with only his bare hands. Never ever again.
Every single time I order from this place they never get my order right. Today I ordered an eight piece chicken nugget, a spicy flounder sandwich meal with red beans and rice, and a two piece dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and I paid extra for white meat chicken. I also requested Mardi Gras mustard and blackened ranch. Like I said they usually mess up my order, so I asked the DoorDash guy to make sure that I get the right sauces. He said no problem. When I get my food, I only get a flounder sandwich, they forgot the red beans and rice, I got buttermilk ranch instead of blackened ranch, and even though I paid extra for white meat spicy chicken, I got mild dark. This is the third time I’ve ordered from them, and the last time I’ll order from them. Because I didn’t order through DoorDash, I ordered through the Popeyes app I have to wait 24 hours for somebody to send me a refund. No thanks.
I went there on a Sunday night and there was only one worker... waited in line for about an hour. The lady was doing her best, but she shouldve had way more help, especially being it was a weekend.
Like it how they took the manager form 10th st for touching coworkers and as a punishment brought him to the Louise store and made him gm. Ik u probably short staffed but there better ways then puting more workers at risk. Ik workers there that are uncomfortable around him like yo cmonGreat food tho cant lie about that food is a absolute 5star
First off, I love Popeyes. The food isnt my issue. My issue is simply this: why do your employees treat me like garbage if I come in for a DoorDash order, but the same employees are super friendly if Im there as a customer? Im the same friendly person either way. Why the difference in treatment?
Love Popeyes.Today, however, I ordered a chicken sandwich with sauce on the side and a diet coke.No sauce whatsoever and not a diet coke.Lesson learned. Check order before leaving the drive up window.
Food was good. Poor little gal taking orders in drive thru was alone other than a cook. She was taking, filling and collecting payment on her own. She was honestly very timely and very polite. Her service would make me return.
They are understaffed but still stepping up! Great job Saturday night. Everything was prepared fresh to order so it was no big deal waiting 7 min for two chicken sandwiches. I prefer to wait if its fresh, hot and better.
I went there to use my veteran discount and the cashier said theyre not doing it anymore cause of audit. I was like wow and the food wasnt not that warm. Never going back to that Popeyes, ever again so it get a 2 star.
"regular" sized fries are size small for OVER 2 dollars. Barely fresh & warm to the touch. Any dipping sauces will cost you another 25 centsb on top of that. TF happened to getting good food for any decent cost. I just got ripped off.. wouldnt recommend
I rarely go out of my way to post a bad review and I dont know why we keep trying but each time my husband and I have been through the drive-thru when there are zero cars, we still find ourselves waiting 10-20 minutes...every single time. They like to wait to tell you once youve already paid to tell you theres going to be a long wait for your food...again, even when you are the only car there. This was a problem even before the pandemic so the excuse of being short staffed does not apply here. When you have a fussy 5 month old in the car with you and youre thinking youll just get some quick food and go home, just go somewhere else. Youll get your food quicker somewhere else even if they have cars in line. Sorry for bashing you Popeyes but you need to address the issue with your wait time in the drive-thru. Im reading other reviews here and it looks like Im not the only one with this issue.
I probably wont go back to this store. Not very clean. They were very busy so some mess is expected but the kitchen was a disaster. Bathrooms could have used a good scrubbing. As for the food. We had chicken sandwiches and nuggets. They were Ok. After I returned one because it had a long hair on it. The fries were ice cold. The buns for the sandwiches were really greasy. All and all....not impressed by this place. Wont be going here again. I will definitely try other popeyes.
The food’s decent. The biscuits were small, the person at the counter skimped on our fries, and the family-sized box of spicy chicken wasn’t even that spicy and looked like it would only feed two people. And the horrible service - where do I begin? My family and I have places to be, things to attend to. We order nearly an hour ahead and the stupid food wasn’t even ready. Ordering ONLINE at about 6:10, we got our food at five minutes before 7:00. The place wasn’t even busy! The person at the counter was slow, too. We wanted to cancel it because we didn’t want to wait for 20 more minutes, but since we ordered online, we had already prepaid, AND THEY WOULDN’T ACCEPT REFUNDS. First and LAST time going there.
The young man who took my order was polite. As I pulled up to the window and waited for my food it took extremely long. There was also nobody in line before me so I’m not sure what the holdup was…As I sat there for the longest time I could obviously see all of the workers through the window. Just standing around and talking…. My order was also just for one person and my food was not even hot so it’s not like I was waiting for it to be cooked or like it was a large order. The staffs hygiene and personal appearance was unappealing and sloppy. This was my first time here and was probably the last.
Ive heard good things about Popeyes and thought Id give it a try, the chicken was good but not good enough to sit in the drive thru for over an hour. When we finally got to the window to pay two of the employees were just texting on their phones and we didnt get the sauces we asked for. We will never go there again. We were very disappointed in the service.
Loved this place it was my first visit loved shopping before we ate. Found a beautiful princess dress for my 4 year old daughter ❤ prices are very reasonable staff is kind and friendly. The food was amazing i dont have 1 complaint our waitress was wonderful and I highly recommend the fried shrimp or the maple glazed chicken breast with bacon it was really good. Loved the biscuits to. Definitely comfort food
Been here many times and this is a combined review of some great experiences and some not so great. Sometimes the food is excellent and everything is on point, others the food is an absolute mess and difficult to eat. Order large sides and the container comes half full. Nearly every business is struggling right now so I wont give up on Popeyes. Hoping it gets back to what it once was.
I would really rate my experience as a zero star. They do one order at a time before they even take the next order. I left the line after 15 with 4 cars still in front of me. Plus one worker was running in and out of the building to go talk to people in cars that were not in line. What made me leave was the fact that he had a glove on one hand and touching the cars and doors with it. Do the owners understand how much financial potential they are losing?
Waited 30 minutes for our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. 10 minutes in to our wait we were in formed that they had to drop the spicy chicken for the sandwich and it would take about 5-7 minutes, 10 minutes into waiting for that we were informed that they had to drop the shrimp and it would be another 3-5 minutes. Approximately 30 minutes after ordering we got our food! Food was good, but the girl running the front should not have had to be the one dropping our food. Not sure what the heck was going on with the cook in the back!
Food is usually good if you have patience. On average they are slow.... I have waited 20mins in the drive through multiple times. Staff regularly has issues not knowing how to ring up their current deals and not charging correctly for what you are ordering.
This is their nasty new chicken sandwich. It was raw and the bun was soggy. I could have gotten food poisoning! If I could give them negative stars I would.
Good chicken, sloooooowwww service. Appeared to be only 3 people working on an average Thursday night at supper time. Waited in drive through for 20 mins. Please speed up service.
Short staffed but very mature and professional during a rush in spite of it. Great food. Let me order a side of their awesome gravy.
Mild chicken is Bland and has no taste. Get the spicy. Awesome mashed potatoes n gravy, and biscuits are top notch. Its not on the menu but you can order blackened tenders anytime...they take a few extra minutes but no breading and they are good!
