Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Medicine Hat

We went there at 920PM and they were already closed. It says they close at 10PM on google.

Google business hours show close at 10pm but they already closed even before 9:30.

I had a wonderful service. I got freshly cooked spicy chicken just the way I wanted it. 😃😃😃

Food was great, except they dont have cheese. Of any kind. Service was okay, had to ask twice for cutlery and a cup for my drink. The food makes it a 4.

I always order too much food and it always leave me feeling regretful. Just a hair too deepfried for me. Good fountain pop but for gods sake when you say "spicy" I want it to melt my teeth.EDIT:I have since seen the light and am I true popeyes convert, Fountain pop is always perfect and the chicken tendies with dunk sauce is always delicous. Food for dollar is just perfect. Thank you Popeyes!

I hear the store is under new management. Ive heard the store is coming around and making changes for the better. Ive witnessed it myself on a messed up order. And I could understand the person on the phone finally. Hope its for the better.

Food is good but theyre reeeeeeal slow to make it. Ive been to Popeyes several times and never had to wait so long. It wasnt even busy.

Went with a friend and I paid extra for all 4 pieces to be white meat. While the man was putting my order together he told me that they ran out of white meat and had to give me one piece dark. So I told him then I want to see extra fries beens I already paid. Not only I did not get extra fries, but I only got one white piece out of the four. Could have just owed up to it and refund me the difference.

My husband had a take out order 3 days ago. Hes been super sick ever since. 4 piece chicken, coleslaw, fries and gravy and an order of hot wings. Said everything tasted fine but hes been sick to his stomach since about an hour after he ate.

I don’t know what’s happened to this place. The food used to be really good, now it’s honestly - kind of sucks. I really hate saying that but - it’s true. I won’t be coming back again. 7/11 has better chicken at this point and that’s saying a lot since they’re a gas station/convenience store…I thought maybe it was a one off situation, but two times in a row the foods been less than satisfactory.Mac and cheese was very watery and overall lacking flavour. Biscuits were very dry, hard and crunchy. Beans and rice seems to be mostly rice these days.The chicken tenders, were very dried out, chewy - rubbery - almost if they had been freezer burnt.Chicken is quite greasy as well.. seems like it’s all cooked in a batch and just left under a heat lamp so they can have “fast food”I know people complained about having to wait for their food to be cooked before, but I’d rather wait for 10-15 minutes and have good chicken at least than to have it within 2 minutes and it be really greasy.It seems like corporate has started cutting costs at the price of having lower quality food. Go figure, they are owned by BK and Tim Hortons parent company.This definitely isn’t the same experience as it was when they first opened up.

Loved the place.. I dont mind the short wait for best fast food in western Canada prices are cheaper than McDonalds

Came here for the spicy chicken. But they don’t have it because they are closing down in 20mins. Good one. Waste of my drive :)

Close the kitchen an hour before they shut down, Ive experienced this several times now and tonight I watched 4 customers leave without purchasing because of it.

I ordered supper for myself and kids. 2 sides missing and 2 drinks. I was so preoccupied with that issue I didn’t even realize that my 8 piece chicken was not in the bag!!! Door dash gave me my money back but I’m hungry!!!

My daughter and son requested popcorn chicken it was cofirmed 3 times but we were given shrimp which she is very allergic my son phoned to tell them there mistake and they did nothing she is agonizing pain now with swollen lips tongue and throat.They need to take the orders carefully it could seriously cause great harm to someone its very dangerous.

A very clean popeyes location. The service was very fast. I wouldnt say they were warm and welcoming but the chicken was hot and very fresh.

Make sure you check your order at the drive through.I ordered five spicy rids.once i get home and sit down with my family,,I end up with two ribs,two breast and one leg,,So i phoned and told the lady about the mix up,,and she starts getting rude with me.and she never offered a replacement...They figure once you drive away through they got you .If popeyes do not have enough chicken cooked for there consumers let then know,instead of ripping them off,,,,I wouldve waited if need be.Eric

** Update from my last visit to this location Popeyes has reached out to myself to make things right. **Received Email from Supervisor/Management in regards to the issue I had with some pieces of chicken being very small. I would like to thank Popeyes for making it right. Hopefully Ill continue to receive great chicken.

I am disappointed- the quality has gone down hill over the years. It used to be so amazing but now it’s become very greasy! When they first opened, you’d barely have any grease on your fingers after eating. Now it’s really gross, it put me off my meal tbh. I used to prefer Popeyes over KFC because it wasn’t as greasy, that’s not the case anymore. Their portions are also very small, in terms of sides. Seems they only fill the tiny cups half way.It would be nice to see them improve.I will say, their chicken nuggets are good quality because it’s white meat. But again, very greasy.

Chicken, fries and onion rings were soggy. Whats the point of asking me what dipping sauces Id like if your not going to put them in the bag anyways. 40 dollars for a family meal and you cant even make sure the order is complete.

The cleanliness of this place is severely questionable. Dirty pop station, floors a mess, disgusting windows, dust on the serving counter and not to mention the chairs and benches. I witnessed four people standing there talking and not one single person cleaning or even pretending to look busy. It’s unfortunate that the staff NOR the owner take pride in this business. Not to mention the rubbery fries and mediocre chicken.

Id like to start with, if it was only based on the deliciousness of the food they would get a 5 star. But its not. The website and the app both dont allow me to place an order online. It shows the restaurant but can not click it. -1. I tried to call in my order so as not to have to wait in the restaurant for the food prep. No one answers. -1. And when i drive there thinking to just hit the drive through for convenience. Construction has it closed. -1. But the food here is beyond amazing. Ill gladly change to 5 star if at minimum, the app or online purchases work.Update: nope... food is still good however went through drive-through and the girl taking the order was very hard at hearing and speaking. Aftermuch confusion i was able to see theorderon thescreen was correct. And waiting a long time we received the food and went home to find out items were missing. When we called to ask about said items we were told to come back and get it then hung up on. Thats service? Food aint that good to be treated poorly by the staff. If i could give 0 stars i would. Terrible service.

Chicken is very good, however the pieces of chicken in a pack do not come consistently. Out of an 8 piece meal pack, you may get 3 wings, 3 drumsticks and 2 thighs. It should always have the same pieces. Staff are hard to understand. They talk too fast and dont understand well. Very dissatisfied. Good thing the chicken is good.

Service was good and easy to order, portion was a little smaller than expecting. (Popcorn shrimp platter)

Just brought home takeout and received the most raw chicken strips Ive ever seen, still pink and rubbery, would love to post a photo here.

I am one of those who visits Popeyes since their day first. For first year or so it was really great place to be in. I think some time in 2021 Owner or staff has changed and that where I start noticing degraded quality. I still kept going until yesterday when I ordered $50 worth of food and all ended up in garbage. Poor quality, not fresh and chicken tasted more like eating baked flour. Staff was un professional. Wait time was long enough to frustrate customers behind you. Popeyes should just close this location.

We ordered chicken tonight. It wasnt fully cooked. When I phoned to complain I was informed that "it happens. Due to the timer we use some come out partially cooked but wed rather take the chance of that then overcooking it." I said Id rather that then food poisoning and she told me "over cooked would be worse". No thank you. Ill never go to a Popeyes again

The most poorly run pop is run popeyes in the country.. I could not use drive-through as a hall R vs so I park walk up to the window and hes arguing with one gentleman who said hell be open in 5 minutes it was already 11:10 AM at that point to which they were supposed to be opened at 11 AM and then I see another woman drive up to the drive-through speaker and she cant hear him at all and the place was still not doing anything.. Why they would pick one particular date or shut the dining room down is beyond me but they will not get my business ever again

Service was good. Priced too high for what you receive. Ordered small family meal and biscuits were hockey pucks. Side was quite small. All together ould not feed more than 2 people. Spent $31 and half the food you couldnt eat. Chicken however was great!

Chicken quality is what you expect. This location will not put fries into a basket to save costs, it’ll just be in a paper bag leaching ink and making everything a mess. Recent months they’ve stopped wrapping their chicken sandwiches properly and now bread is soggy. Let’s be real. Great potential, fantastic chicken. Stop cutting corners!

Love their chicken sandwiches and went to drive thru to order 2 combos with fries and gravy. Got home and no fries and was thinking wouldnt the employee who was packing the meal think that it was weird to place 2 forks and gravy with no fries. Just saying.

This was the worst old dry chicken I have had anywhere cant eat it and can get anything fromthis store what a waste of money. This is what they sent me and its like to bad not are problem .Going to head office with this one .

This place is usually busy for a great reason, the foods amazing and the service is friendly. It also very clean inside and out, perfect for a meal with some friend an family or by yourself.

I have tried this place multiple times since its opened. Never have I had 1 single order correct. Today I thought Id give them a try maybe they have gotten better. I ordered a 5pc chicken strip meal. take the food home for the wife open it we got 5 pc of chicken 2 gravy thats it. Done with it till it gets new management2 stars for the 2 gravy

The food is the same as the usa, which makes the spicy best. The service is a little slow but friendly. I expected larger crowds although with the biscuits and side they keep to thier Louisiana roots.

First time at Popeyes. Chicken was tasty. Potatoes and cajun gravy were good. Macaroni and cheese was bland. Biscuit was tasty. Restaurant was clean. Order was filled quickly. Not exceptional but decent, another fast food chain with tasty chicken.

This is my favourite fast food restaurant in the city. One time I went 6 days in a row. My top recommendation is the chicken tenders with the Blackened Ranch dipping sauce. All of the sides are good, but I think the rice and beans are my favourite.
