The lot Burger was absolutely amazing could not have asked for a better Burger. The chips were cooked to perfection. Whis there was somewhere to sit and eat though had to eat in the cold on wet seats at the park

Very slow took 40 mins to make 4 plain hamburgers and chips. Not impressed with the food. It cost us $70 for food that was awful. Never again!

This place is terrible, walked in and was rudely confronted to put on my mask even though I was already pulling it out of my pocket to put it on. Terrible rude staff and the food is so bad

Rudest people ever. walked in not even greeted and immediately was shouted at by some lady in the back corner playing on her phone saying to pull my face mask up. Old man served me and continued to snap at me to move my face mask up even though it was covering my nose and mouth?! Barely any meat in the sea scallops and way over salted. The burger was not that great considering the price that I paid, and BLT was just slapped together with sandwich bread and BBQ sauce. Highly disappointed and is the first eatery in ballina that I’ve ever copped such disgusting attitude 👎

Very rude owners yelled at my friend who was wearing a mask to pull it up further when it was covering her face. then yelled again to come closer because the old man couldn’t hear. BLT was on old bread that was toasted and was doused in bbq sauce. Scallops were covered in so much salt it was disgusting. Would never come back here so disappointed.

Excellent Fish n Chips & Burger. Shop does not look much but absolutely excellent food.

Had a last minute craving for fish n chips and Popeyes nailed it. Exactly what you expect from a riverside chipper! Best chips, best potato scallops, tasty fish, great batter, friendly staff. Opening the wrapped package when we got home was the stuff my fish n chips dreams are made of! Will become our go-to every time we are in town from now on!

Short answer: Never again.Cons: Burger patty was a paste-like consistency. Legitimately the worst burger Ive ever come across.Pros: Abrasive cook is a narcissist bully who will tell you all the gross, vivid details about her infected ear piercing free of charge!

I stop into this place every time I’m in Ballina to grab a burger, yesterday was the last time I will ever be going to this place. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, shouting at us the moment we entered the store to put our face masks on whilst I was putting mine on already then shouted at me to cover my nose, I don’t feel sorry for saying what I said because it was uncalled for and just plain rude. I understand we are in tough times at the moment, everyone is in the same boat, there are nicer ways to go about it rather then abuse your customers. Im not one to write reviews but feel I have to in this case. Last time I’ll ever be going to this place and will be spreading the word.

Food was great bit expensive but worth it

I would drive all the way from Sydney just to get a burger. FINALLY A BURGER YOU CAN RAVE ABOUT!

Three times I’ve been here with my partner. First time my partner and i ordered it was cooked and salted to perfection, second i brought the fam bam along and they messed up the order and over charged us. Burgers were mediocre at best. They got the salt wrong and seemed super un happy to serve us when we’re bringing them business. Third time was disgusting sea food and calamari rings were stringy and had no salt, Chips tasted like cardboard and the thick shakes are water and vanilla syrup. would not recommend their over priced menu.

Son and I picked up dinner tonight, rang thru the order and it was ready to go when we arrived 10 min later. Stand out was the home made fish cake!!! Very clean, very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Ordered fish cocktails with chips, was asked if I wanted chicken salt, yes please. Later at home when opening the package, I was stunned to see 5 super tiny fish things smaller than my pinkie (pic posted), then later realised I was charged extra for the chicken salt. Very disappointing.

Would give less than one star if possible. I never write any google reviews as I just feel that things normally work themselves out (i.e. people catch on and natural selection for businesses kicks in). But looking at other reviews Im suspecting there are some fake reviewers... Ridiculous prices for what you get. My daughter ordered $3.50 chips and recieved about as many as you could hold in one hand. On top of that they wanted to charge another 50c for chicken salt! Chips were not terrible (just standard I guessbut not exactly gourmet. Everything singular and itemised (i.e 1x calamari ring =$1). Not listed on TripAdvisor from what I can see... unusual. Not sure if they are determined to go out of business?!

We arrived at closing time and they stayed open fir us. Really nice fresh fish and chips, and great friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Certainly couldn’t recommend this fish and chip shop, no selection only sell hoki that was battered and drowning in grease and $5 worth of chips which was more like $2-3 worth. Pretty disappointed 👎

Im sorry but the food is woeful, tastes more like something that canman dragged out a bin starched on then microwaved.

5 bucks worth of chips is about the 3rd of the amount we can get elsewhere.

Good quality burgers & chips with chicken salt. The owners were lovely and friendly too.

Many better choices in town especially for the price i was very disappointed the burger i had was nothing at all special, the staff are never friendly, everything else is over priced i highly recommend any other store in town maybe they use quality syrup in milkshakes but skimp on it.

Absolutely rubbish ordered fish cocktails 70 cents each the size we got not even bigger than a chicken nugget one had no fish in it even so wrong took a picture even !!!

Always great tasty food at a good price

Ordered 3 Chocolate Thickshakes and got 3 half filled take away cups... At $6 each If i hadnt already drove back to the office i would have demanded a refund. The "thick shake" tasted no more than home brand chocolate syrup and milk. No thickness to it what so ever. Not impressed. Will not ever be coming back. Complete rip off.
