Very old bridge.closed...See and fell their beautifulness..
Bad road conditions and the conditions of hanging bridge is poor.
The view is very beautiful.
Need immediate restoration. Old wooden parts are stolen, now replaced by new!!!
The British made this bridge, now there is a substitute bridge but earlier they used this bridge to go from one side to the other. You can visit this place and take some lovely snaps in front of the waterfall
Going to this place was like doing an extremely hevy offroading with too much ruddged and bad roads
Poomong Barbotey bridge of over 100 years, now closed because of its poor durability and newly installed steel bridge just 20 fit upside over the very river will surely bring you in the age of Primitive Era. One local man told me he during his adulthood crossed the abandoned bridge with a Mahindra mini truck for 3 times, seems a legend itself.
Nice, Calm, BeautifulThe place is full of adventurous..You will find an old British era bridge but after the new bridge made the old is totally close now beside it you will find a water fall below the bridge which is also charming
Hanging bridge feels good in a small village
awesome. This place was too much fun, horror experience, and totally amazing. graveyard nearby. little bit scary. wonderful place. awesome little village. the road to this is very bad at some places. no crowd. only for people who love adventure and action. something different. local people enjoying fresh air.
Very very nice and adventurous place
This hanging bridge is no longer active for tourists. I just visit there last week, and I very much disappointed. Dont go there. In place of hanging bridge there is a new bailey bridge for transportation.
Here you can see a very primitive hanging bridge which is now permanently closed due to safety reasons. This place became a tourist spot.
The bridge is closed for maintenance. This bridge was constructed in 1916. More than 100 years ago. Now closed. Just near by a steel bridge is made for commuting.
This hanging bridge is unfortunately closed 3 months back due to maintenance. We lost our way amidst as the google maps were not working properly. I saw the recommendation of this place from some bloggers and went there with much excitement only to find it closed. But the locals informed that the bridge would soon open after maintenance in a few months only. The road to the bridge was creepy and I got really scared while going down there, but if the bridge was open, the place would have been a must visit.
Bt at present it is closed due to bad condition.. should recover soon for tourists atleast
Its a wooden hanging bridge seen in the picture..the bridge is almost 100 years old or more than that...but the sad news for all travellers is that its now under maintenance and no person is allowed to cross that! We went there yesterday for a shoot but unfortunately we were unable to shoot there! Anyway one can visit the closed bridge from outside. The ambience of the surroundings is totally awesome including the scenic view however!
Awesome trekking
Very nice place. As the bridge was closed, was unable to climb it.
Nice heritage bridge, almost 100 years old. Closed now for safety
Breathtaking views. However the wooden bridge is now under maintenance and not allowed to cross.
The place is good . But the bridge was closed
Excited, but unfortunately closed
Wonderful hanging bridge, 9km so beautiful please .
A good place to visit. It was built by East India company in 1916. If more than 4 people go together, on the bridge it will start swinging.
It is far from 9 km of Takda cantonment. A beautiful place for visit.
Old charm hanging bridge, suspended on cables, still functional.
Hanging bridge. It is almost 8.3 km away from Takdah Home stay and around nine KM from other Home Stay like Rie Resort or Gurung Homestay. It is a very famous Bridge since long years. The experiry date is already over for this bridge. It you get on the the bridge then be very very careful. Specially the children and old people. Here the momo is very famous.
Its really a place to ...no crowd no tourists..you just walk n enjoy the beauty.
Very old British made hanging bridge. Good place to visit.
Beautiful place
Awesome heritage hanging bridge. But present condition is very critical. Maintenance part is totally ignored. Need immediate repair in some portion, otherwise serious accident may occur in near future.
The old one, it spot of attraction is also called locally the shaking bridge its British made in the year 1916
Thrilling experience. If there are more than 3-4 people at a time on the bridge it would start swinging. Awesome.
103 Years Old bridge. Now not in operation. A good place to visit when youre in Takdah, Darjeeling.
This bridge is situated near at Takdah. Nearly 100years old British bridge still standing and working quite perfectly. But its scared us when we crossed the bridge. Its a hanging bridge by iron string, but the wooden plates are not at all safe for rush steps. Some plates are broken too. One should careful while crossing the bridge. But it was an amazing and thrilling experience.
Bridge condition deteriorated. Stopped for vehicles and people. Old bridge but still looks beautiful inside the deep forest.
Hanging bridge a real adventure to cross
Quite place away from mankind.
Nice bridge.
Its a nice place
The scenic beauty from this bridge is awesome.
A beautiful place if you love history and natural beauty.
Nice experience, hanging in there
Great place.
A place believed to be haunted by the local residents as theres a British cemetery just beside the approach road to the bridge.
Very nice place. Awesome view
A British era cable-hung structure still standing. Such was the quality of infrastructure back then. The view is beautiful and it made me stand in awe in the middle of the swaying bridge.
