Commissioned by Napoleon, this elegant bridge has 17 spans enabling it to cross the River Garonne.
Emblematic historic landmarks, it is a must to visit in the city.
Interesting interaction amongst: Tram, bus, bikes and people
U are the best of all
Interesting bridge with a very interesting history.
Water looked quite dirty not the best spot for photos.
Beautiful spot for shooting, but its very windy 😆
What an amazing bridge! No cars. Go across it with V3 bikes, you won’t regret it 🤓
Good landmark connects Stalingrads square with the other bank of the city. Loved by joggers and photographers
One of the best ways to really appreciate this bridge is from the water. Our smallish cruise boat had to wait for low tide to pass underneath the bridge and pay very close attention to the red/green lights for passage. There, you will find beautiful architecture from 19th century. Swim, float, paddle, use a boat, but dont miss this water view of the bridge.
Impressive bridge with arches spanning the wide river
What a good looking bridge!Trams, bikes and pedestrians. No cars when I walked over it yesterday, great place to watch the fireworks last night
The most beautiful place i visited in Bordeaux ! I recommend you to watch this view at night !
Beautiful place to photograph in Bordeaux. Nearby are is clean and feels safe during the day.
This is one of Bordeaux’s most historic landmarks commissioned by Napoleon and finished after his death. It is beautiful day or night and lovely to walk across as the tide rushes in or out. The 17 arches are for the the letters in Napoleon’s full name. It’s popular with runners because the traffic is limited.
Great place with great People
Beautifulll
From french its name measn Stone bridge. Despite that, the bridge is built mainly out of bricks and not stone. It has 17 arches (according to the legend the number of letters in the name Napoléon Bonapartewho issued the construction to help his troops cross the river more quickly when going towards Spain. Connecting the left and right banks of the Garrone, this is the first bridge ever built in Bordeaux. It is used by tram, cars and pedestrians.
Beautiful old landmark for tourists to visit.
Beautiful landmark this bridge. I think I’ve taken the picture everyone takes
Beautiful fireworks and atmosphere on 14th July
Very nice especially now that it is pedestrian only..lots of memories
If you get a chance, visit this 487 meters long bridge at night, the lighting is amazing during the late hours.
Good 👍
Just another beautiful bridge...
You shouldnt miss a breathtaking sunrise over the bridge. Also you can take the boat and have a trip of the river at the price of merely €1.4!

Romantic place in Bordeaux
Very beautiful bridge reminiscent of other times ... time travel !!! The movement of the Garon River is impressive. The evening is also very nice and worth a walk exploring Bordeaux by night.
Beautiful bridge, wider than expected!
Beautiful!!
Beautiful bridge! We took the boat across the river and got a wonderful view of the bridge and beging it the basilica of saint Michael
This bridge caught my attention while i was walking near the river. It looked really nice. Its a long walk but i get to enjoy the view and the people who were there as well. You can also see the currents strength of the river and it looks very scary. Viewed from a distance, the autumn leaves adds more beauty especially if seen from an angle.
I enjoy the silence, the scenery while walking this bridge, for the first time my Bordeaux Experience
We cycled over this bridge on our Bordeaux Bike Experience tour. It was worth doing because you get a good view of the waterfront buildings. Allegedly the 17 arches correspond to the number of letters in NAPOLEON BONAPARTE and his Imperial wreath is set between each. Sadly he died the year before its completion in 1822. Theres a tunnel within the bridge for maintenance work and to allow soldiers to pass from one bank to the other undetected. Sadly not open to the public. Maybe Bordeaux Tourist Office are missing a trick?
Its the most delightful place in Bordeaux to visit at night.
Beautifully majestic old stone bridge of Bordeaux, and is in alignment with Porte de Bourgogne over the Garrone River. Lovely old bridge from early 1800s and the only bridge until the Pont Saint-Jean bridge was constructed in 1965. I enjoyed walking the whole length of it as it takes you from the left bank (Cours Victor Hugoto the right bank (Avenue Thiers), quartier de la Bastille, across the Garrone River. And best of all, no vehicles except for the tram and emergency vehicles. Highly recommended to explore and feel its impressive history. A great place to "promenade"!
History in is prime
At night, its amazing
Great architecture
Ouarrrr!!
coool bridge france
Very nice and beautiful place to walk by
Amazing
Symbol of Bordeaux.
Better in the evening, with all the lights. It is curious, but the persons walk only on one side of the bridge, although permitted on both.
Historical bridge with lovely views of river
You can take beautiful pictures of town from this bridge. Moreover, it looks nice :)
This was another mandatory stop during our visit to Bordeaux. We walked it back and forth a couple of times just to look and take pictures around. Great photo opportunities and a good walking location. It was closed for vehicles during my visit but bikes and pedestrians were allowed to go through.
Nice architectural bridge
The water was not clean but the scenery from the bridge was still breath-taking.
