Pomeroy Inn & Suites Grimshaw in Peace River

The place has gone downhill unfortunately. Used to really like this place but they had run out of pretty much everything on the menu and the staff made so many mistakes with our order that it ruined our evening. Real shame

Lovely family friendly pub. Sunday roast was amazing definitely recommend.

Excellent staff, atmosphere and food at a reasonable price. The vegetarian Sunday lunch is one of the best in the area.

Good quality lunchtime food and excellent service. There were 21 of us. We will return.

Went for lunch with bestie for her birthday. I had paella which was lovely and she had a sirloin steak which was cooked exactly to her liking. Staff are wonderful and we had a great time. Super puddings, baked cheesecake and frangipane tart, yum

This is by far one of the nicest pub restaurants Ive eaten at in a long time. I had the Moroccan lamb and it was delicious. The portions are very generous. The restaurant is clean, smart and welcoming with really polite and attentive staff.We took advantage of the Monday evening deal, which made it extremely good value for money.Well done to the Pomeroy, Im impressed.

A choice of vegan dishes? Wow! Ego @ The Pomeroy spoiled me rotten by offering me that rare word - choice! The roasted vegetable linguine was delicious and my friends enjoyed their fish and chips followed by mini puds and coffee. My fruit salad was beautifully presented and I demolished it while sipping a well-made espresso.

Good pub, newly refurbished, restaurant, benches out the back but nothing for the kids.

The food here is really excellent and the menu is varied(not a common combination!). The staff here are very friendly and helpful. This is my favourite pub in the area!!

Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, varied menu with lots of choice. Enjoyed a delicious meal with a friend, would highly recommend, looking forward to visiting again.

Love the large choice on the menu. Food is always cooked to a high quality. Thoroughly recommend the paella. Staff are also efficient and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for what you get.

Had a confirmed booking for 8 people for tomorrow eve 27/11/2021at 7pm.This was confirmed on 6th of November. Received an email this morning cancelling my booking.When I phoned the restaurant to see what had happened I was told there was not enough space, when the lady on went to get her manager all I heard on the other end of the line was tell him theres space, I assume that this was the manager.To say Im disappointed would be an understatement as this was a booking for my wifes birthday, we had arranged childcare for our children as had all our guests. Where would I be able to get a booking for a Saturday eve for that many people on Friday afternoon?A phone call explaining a cancellation would have been much more considerate and professionalI doubt I would ever consider the Pomeroy again very disappointed

Great food, great value, great service. Only gripe is that facing the wall heaters in the new area is like putting your face under a grill!

A very mixed review. Firstly the food was excellent and I would normally score high for this. Having specified gluten-free together with dairy-free requirements at the time of booking, we were told no glute-free bread or oatmilk or soyamilk were available. The staff worked hard, though. A tricky meal for us but dont let our experience put you off. Really good food.

normally love the pomeroy. Was moved several times at request with no problem after our meal etc.Once paid our almost £300 tab was moved to the corner table out of the way..mm for (Being loud / joining in the live entertainmentalso previous spoke to the entertainers. Them stating it was fine and actually nice for the interaction.An amazing night until the the greeter / floor manager moved us without request. Obviously after we paid the bill....

We had a delicious afternoon tea here for 6 people. It was all fresh and very appetising. A very reasonable price too. We were even given containers to take away the bits we couldnt manage. Highly recommended.

Had heard all good things about this place, unfortunately my experience wasnt all good. Steaks were not served cooked to how they were ordered, complained about this, when meal was replaced 20 minutes later (meaning members of the party did not eat together), all sides that were bought at an additional cost had been disposed of. When we asked the waitress about them she was actually quite rude and said "I didnt know you wanted them". Another 20 minutes and the sides were replaced. Then when we came to pay, the replacement sides had been added to the bill! When we queried this waitress wasnt particularly apologetic, but they were removed. Wasnt the best birthday experience for my friend unfortunately.

The setting is lovely, but the wait staff got 3 out of seven mains orders wrong. All the food was delicious. No discount offered for one person who had to wait 10 minutes after everyone else was served.

Great staff, nice eating area with nice views, starters and mains were very good. The only slight let down was desserts, a bit basic. Overall Id highly recommend it and would go again!

Plenty of outside tables to enjoy meals safely. Nice to have waiters to take orders rather than an app. Medium prices and plenty of choices. Pizzas were great.

On March 23rd I booked an outside table, online for 6 of us to celebrate a big birthday on April 14th - the first week we are allowed to eat at a restaurant. I couldnt get through on the phone until April 12th, when I rang to confirm the booking, to be told that tables for 6 have no heating!! Too late to book anywhere else. This information should be on the website. Tables for 4 have heating, but although some were free, my party couldnt be accommodated. Very frustrating. 0 out of 5 for service and information

Large menu from steaks to kebab. Food was perfectly adequate though a few dishes arrived late. Service was also slow. Ambiance was fine though a bit chain like. All in alk other than service all OK but lacking a unique quality.

First time here for lunch and very impressed. Excellent meal (lots of choicemade exceptional by Lina and Irina who looked after us and with whom we chatted and joked. I hope you felt we were well behaved ladies ..as wed like to come back! Please also thank the chef for producing 4 fabulous meals.Superb!

Stopped off for a spot of lunch on a sunny Thursday. Looked like the Rotary club were also having lunch as well. No problems as we were quickly seated and food ordered. The fish and chips were excellent. The burger was tasty and the onion rings sensational! Well worth a visit.

Price is 10%-20% more expansive, only get a small portion. Pork is hard as stone. The environment and service are good.

Delightful experience at The Pomeroy, the pub restaurant has a nice ambiance, you are greeted with an warm open fire. There is plenty of space which is comfortable for dining.There are good menu options at great prices. The food tastes good, I had from the Specials Menu.Recommendation: the mini dessert and tea is really good. They aren’t mini!Enjoy

Amazing food. The six of us all ordered different mains and desserts and every dish was amazing. The fillet steak was pricey but worth it. The only negative was that a brand new drinks menu was introduced but the bottled beers were not yet available but there were others to choose from. Overall extremely happy.

Im was unsure about the food when I saw the menu but I was wrong. Food was very good and the service was great. Price was reasonable and the place had a great atmosphere

All though food was ok, prices were ridiculous for the portions....rightly so they adjusted our bill, which was appreciated but wont bother going back, service was also far to slow....my meal was priced at £19...see what I mean?

Recently went through a complete face-lift with new chairs and tables, and layout, it is looking less like a traditional pub and more like a modern gastro pub. Food is pretty decent, service needs some attention though, I was there for late lunch which was super quite and nice and I wondered how they would cope with the dinner service.
