Family-run option for pierogi & other Polish classics in a homey setting with traditional decor.
Fantastic locally owned restaurant with quality authentic polish cuisine!! If youre looking for great food, awesome draft selection and excellent service. Look no further.
Everything was outstanding as usual excellent Borsch, pierogis, beverages, service, followed by a terrific fish fry. The owner Eddie Kutas came out personally to greet everyone, I always will come back here for a great meal.
I enjoyed my meal. I had perogies with mashed potatoes. I only wish the perogies had a bit more of the farmers cheese filling. It seemed like its mixed with another cheese like maybe ricotta but Im not sure. Im not crazy about there only being one choice for soda. I dont drink it through the week so I really look forward to having a soda with my meal on the weekend. It was very flat and syrupy. The server was really nice though and always pleasent. I would definitely go back.
My fiance and I went there for the sunday brunch today and we were both left feeling underwhelmed. First I called before going there to see if the Sunday brunch was still going as I seen it from an old Facebook post. The girl I talked to said oh yes it was going on and talked highly of the buffet and its selections. So based on that call we decided to come in. We went there and it wasnt very busy a few tables. There was an assortment of different traditional polish foods and breakfast food. One problem everything was not covered that was supposed to be served hot. The food was mostly cold if barely luke warm. I will not go backIt wasnt worth the 13.99 a person for cold slop.
Sunday Brunch Buffet. Food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. Presentation was not good. $53.00 for 3 people. Could get better food at a McDonalds. Dont waste your time and money. Doesnt even deserve one star.
I visited Polish Villa II for the first time and I am afraid it will be my last time. Can’t complained for service. It was very good. But the food was tasteless; pierogies were cold, sausages were cold as well as mashed potatoes. I expected something better at Polish restaurant in Buffalo, NY.
Called at 6:30pm to ask if they were serving the buffett, then showed up to the restaurant at 6:45pm to a dark, locked restaurant. When we called we were told they decided to close early and the person we talked to was wrong to tell us that the buffett was still going on until their advertised time of 8:00pm. We were offered some buffett leftovers to purchase as a meal, or to go to the other location. We declined their generous offer and ate somewhere else.
Good food and good service. The cheesecake was very good. Fish fry was a good sized piece. Salads were homemade. Cole slaw was the least favorite. One bite and noticed the taste was not right. I didnt like the flavor. The rest of the food was great.
Great for polish food. Its very underassuming from the outside. The cheese perogies are amazing, seriously drool worthy! Ive never had better from anywhere else. Their Borscht soup was phenomenal as well. All of the food we tried was really tasty. We went on Sunday for their Sunday Buffet which allowed us to try several of their traditional Polish dishes. Definitely will be headed back to this place sometime in the future.
Great happy hour prices for drinks and food. $7 for 6 huge chicken fingers and fries. BBQ, hot, med or mild. $2 well, drafts and select bottles. Awesome bar tender too!
Have gone to the Sunday buffet many times and have found the food quality inconsistent, especially the pork chops. Sometimes they are unprepared at the opening time. As far as their fish fry goes, there are many other better choices around the area to choose from.
My brother found a whole thumbtack in his sausage, and we were met with very immature responses from management. It was bizarre, the manager (Im guessingeven yelled at my brother, accusing him of telling other people about finding the thumbtack in his food. I think its inappropriate for any manager or worker to literally yell at a customer, especially when the customer could have DIED since the staff messed something up. If my brother hadnt felt something sharp in his mouth he could have died after ingesting that. Another staff members told us she didnt have time for this when we asked about how this couldve happened. I wonder if my brother died if she would suddenly have time for it. They are lucky that a grown man who was capable of figuring out there was a thumbtack in there was the one who happened to find it in his food. There are little kids there all the time, and they couldve seriously gotten hurt if they had been the one to find the thumbtack. I see this place called a family restaurant quite often, but I dont see how that could be true unless your family doesnt care about your wellbeing, and treats you with blatant disrespect. I will never go here again, the management doesnt deserve a penny after they completely invalidated a humans entire life. And I know the management will see this, so heres a little message to you specifically: You suck and you will never stop sucking. I wish you all the misfortune in the world.
The food was enjoyable. I have spent countless holidays eating here with family, it is a tradition I have enjoyed. However, today my brother bit into a piece of sausage to find a red tack inside. Thankfully, he pulled it out before it impaled the inside of his mouth or throat. We told our waitress who took the tack from us, she was polite and apologized for what was a crazy experience it was. It was very disappointing when the manager did not come out and apologize himself, and when we asked for the tack back and to speak to the manager, we were met with contempt. The manager offered us a free meal or three, but did not clarify how exactly he would rectify what happened. When we received our bill and had only received two meals for free, we asked our waitress why we weren’t given the three that the manager had offered. After we asked the waitress, we were met with aggressiveness from the manager and presumably his wife, who not only said they “did not have time for this” but yelled in the face of my brother who had bit the tack, claiming he had lied and now was telling other customers about it (which he did not do either).Had the management apologized and left it at that, we would be returning for more meals. But since we were yelled at, called liars, and given attitude by the staff following the managements’ outbursts, I can say we will not be returning as we frankly do not feel safe eating there.
Went for a fish fry at the last minute and there was no wait time... The waitresses was nice, the food was just ok. The atmosphere was a bit dark for me, but not terrible. My biggest complaint was the drinks. The iced tea tasted horrible and metallic, my son ordered a lemonade, and it was slightly yellow water, and also tasted terrible. We replaced our drinks with fountain soda; we got flat, watered down, cola. We finally opted for plain water. Overall the meal wasnt terrible, but it was not great either. Maybe if I went for a standard dinner, I may have appreciated the cooking more. This place is hard to recommend.
Very good - we had the Sunday Buffet. Would have given this 5 stars but some of the food could have been hotter. We always enjoy the food service and atmosphere here.
The food was delicious but the service was bad. Waitress seemed like we were putting her out. She never offered refills. Ignored females at the table. Did not offer dessert.
We had brunch at noon, the food on the buffet looked like it was sitting there for hours, eggs all dried out burnt french toast, what was supposed to be ham was all fat. What used to be a great place for polish food has really gone downhill. Very disappointed.😣
Waited 2 hours with a reservation, Waiter took too long to wait on 15 min for drink order, another 10 to get it, another 20 to take our dinner orders, another 20 min to get our dinners and one of the kids never even got a dinner at all, we shared ours. Waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks. In the end all the waiter did was take the kids dinner off the bill. And to top it off ALL OUR FOOD WAS COLD. Very very disappointed will not go there again and would not recommend it.
Oh wow. Best polish food in buffalo period. You cant leave hungry and unsatisfied. The employees and owner are so pleasant. If anything is wrong they wont know if you dont tell them and they will go over and beyond to please you. The way a restaurant should be run here it is.
Just went to this awesome restaurant for dinner. Everything was delicious. I cant eat onions so I was trying to order something without onions, which is a hard one for polish food, and our server Lucas went above and beyond giving me recommendations and options. I ordered kielbasa and pork chop and it was delicious, big portions too. Service was excellent, all staff very polite and friendly. Will definitely come back.
Amazing polish food beer and atmosphere
Never called Back. We needed a place for a Funeral brunch. Left my name and number with a guy that works there. Never got a call back. Which is a shame because we wanted to hold it there. We found a much better place and with better food. I will definitely pass the word around not to call this place to hold anything or go here and eat. Especially since this is how they treat customers. Very disappointed. *******I called around 3 pm this past Friday
Worst restaurant ever. Bought a groupon. Drove there for dinner on a Monday night to find out there closed. No big deal, we went there on friday to find out they do not accept them on Fridays. Really? I could understand not accepting them on specials, but we weren’t there for that. So there are only four days that you might be able to use them. Potato pancakes were not cooked. Gross. Of course had our waitress visited our table, she would of known that. Duck soup was lukewarm at best. Pierogis were very good but when the waitress asked if I wanted onions, I assumed she meant cooked. They too were raw. Only one slice of bread per person, which wasn’t a big deal but if you like bread, keep that in mind. I will stick to Jades or Kiebzaks for real polish food.
Amazing feta Salad Ive ever had in the Buffalo area 5 star !!!
The Sunday buffet is a wonderful option... especially if your starving and cant make up your mind on what traditional polish dish to indulge in!
The food was excellent! I had the kielbasa and pierogi platter. The rest of my dinning companions had the Polish Villa platter. We were all very pleased with our meals. The wait staff was fantastic
We went for lunch and enjoyed all our meals. Authentic polish food, like grandma used to make. Our waitress was personable and right on top of everything. She was informative and patient. The decor was darker wood, with some polish symbolism. It was cleAn, as was the restroom. The portions were large and very filling. I believe you would enjoy your meal here, and even go to try another kind of nationalities food. It was a great experience.
Came for lunch after a funeral. There were 6 of us and we tried an assortment of platters. Borscht was excellent, so was the golumbki soup. There were potato pierogi, sweet cheese pierogi, golumbki, pork cutlets, mashed potatoes, smoked and fresh Polish sausages, sauer kraut, and sour cream. Every single item was spot on and delicious. We grew up making and eating most of these at home with our grandmothers and mothers and my very picky mom said she was impressed with the food at the Polish Villa Part 2. The chef/owner came out to check on us and he was very informative and friendly, just like our waitress. They were worried because we had been talking and laughing loudly but then went silent. We were silent because the food was so good we couldnt talk as our mouths were constantly full!
The seafood platter was over done, my wifes order had several things wrong and she had to wait for part of it because it wasnt done. A little disappointing but we had a Groupon. A few gluten free options...
It was okay. Went with a large group of people. A few of us had my Groupons. They would only let us use one and there were five couples.. They only let one person in the group use theirs. Probably will not go back. Ran out of food and I was supposed to be a buffet.
Delicious Polish food with excellent service. Decent beer selection which includes Zywiec and Okociem and domestic brews as well. Great crowd- we were there the day before Dyngus Day and ended up in a nice conversation with the people at the next table. A great time overall.
Very good Polish food. Had the buffet to have as many different foods as possible. Wait staff very attentive, checking to see we had everything we needed. When we did need something another waitress took care of it right away, she didnt make us wait for our waitress. It helped a lot that the restaurant was not busy.
Polish meals as good as my Babches. The duck soup I excellent. The only complaint: mashed potatoes were dry. All else was perfect. - at an affordable price!
Food is generally good but service has become progressively worse over multiple visits. Waited 5 minutes for a hostess to even acknowledge my presence. (Maybe if they turned on some lights itd be more obvious someone is standing there. Then, after requesting the check. I watched my server take orders from two adjacent tables before dropping off the check. Really?
The restaurant was dirty from the glasses of water with black particles throughout. Even when requesting new waters, they were exactly the same! We arrived for the Sunday brunch around 1:15. Many of the items were not available and the ones available were dried out. The ceiling had water damage and tiles were missing. Bathrooms were dirty.
Service was slow and my order was inaccurate. I ordered a potato perogi but got a sauerkraut perogi. I am grateful for the mix up though because it was AMAZING. However, my other order ended up being a bland piece of meat loaf drowned in tomato sauce. Not worth it. A friend of mine ordered the lazy perogi, and that was very good. Were it not for the mix up and food quality on my order, they would have earned a 3.
Wonderful food! The cabbage is so, so very good. Both types of sausage were delicious and the mock/lazy perog I was spot on. Love the food.
Live right down the street and always looking for new restaurants close to home. Also my gf scored a gift certificate on groupon, but note on door said they do not accept groupon after 4 PM, no biggie, lets eat its Friday! 20 minute wait on a Friday which is normal, sat at the bar had glasses of wine. Beautiful woodwork everywhere. Got to our seats and waited 35 minutes before we flagged one of the many waitresses who had walked passed us. Two seconds later our waitress Lisa came. We asked for water bbq scallops fish fry and pierogi plate. Another 25 minutes and our waitress got done with the huge table next to us and then dropped scallops and let us know all the food was ready now. Annoying but ok. Fries on fish fry were cold, same with mashed and pierogis. Onion rings on scallop plate was also cold. Lisa was also very combative when I brought this up. Never asked how the meal was, she could care less. I heard other waitresses who were being very pleasant and attentive so may have just been a bad experience but this was a first and last time. Anybody want a $25 groupon??
Love polish villa 2, great place, nice atmosphere, delicious food. People watching is fun too, we usually play polish villa bingo and look for similar things every time we go. Always sure to see an older woman wearing a sparkly shirt, or an older man in a suit. Tables of large families and neighbors our to eat. Its a very family friendly place, and I love it.
The restaurant was very traditional. The decor was Polish as was the background music. It was extremely quaint. The food was good all around. We had the breakfast buffet and both what I and my wife had was delicious. The deserts were to die for. Everything was also homemade. That staff was very friendly and the server at the buffet was nice and knowledgeable. Id definitely go back to lunch or dinner. The breakfast buffet was $11.95 which was average for this area. We did find it odd that juice was included with the buffet but coffee was additional.
The service lacked, it was busy and I felt neglected. Wanted to order another salad so my son could eat it, and wanted another beer for myself but I never saw my server. I very much enjoyed my food, I got the platter so I could eat a variety and was happy with it all.
Made a long trip out to Polish Villa II for the Sunday brunch. The food was good, and there was never an empty tray at the buffet table. So the food was flavorful, authentic and plenty. The service however was completely the opposite. After being seated, our waitress Barb returned with our coffee, and left us to enjoy the buffet. Left is the key here, as she was never seen again. Oh sure she waited on the 2 other tables that had guests, but the place was pretty empty. There were 2 other wait staff clearing tables, and prepping for possibly the dinner shift. After another waitress grabbed our plates as she passed by, we continued to wait for our check. 15 minutes later we flagged down that waitress and asked that we please be brought our check. So while the food was good, the service will prevent us from returning. I didnt drive 45 minutes to be ignored.
We had very good food. It was a girls night out so we paired up & got the 2 for $21 meals. The only thing was that it was supposed to include a "dessert to share" but in the end we were told that wasnt available. The service was a bit slow but our waiter seemed very pleasant. I would definitely go back again.
The Polish food is authentic and very well done... itll remind you of your Babcias home cooking. The service, however, can be hit or miss, depending on how busy the place is. My family doesnt bother going during holidays or special events because they never managed to get a reservation correct. Its a shame, really... the place could really be a gem if they could only figure out how to get the time management and customer service up to the same standards as the food.
Sunday morning brunch was great. All the Polish favorites served buffet-style. Reasonable price, service was good. Food was warm and plentiful. Dessert selection was fantastic.
If you love authentic Polish food this is your place. As close to grandmas you can get without her actually cooking it for you. Service was slow but the food was fantastic. Enjoying a Polish beer completes the experience.
It was beyond horrible here.... I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. We went on Fathers Day and 5 of our party of 9 ate from the buffet which was old, dried out, and cold food. The other 4 ate off the menu and waited over an hour and fifteen mins for their food. My grandson waited that long for a plain hot dog that was served barely warm. We complained of the horrible service and food andNothing was done to compensate us for our awful experience. We paid over $165.00 for less that adequate food and the worst service we EVER experienced.
I have been going to Polish Villa II since I was an infant and I am 31 now. First, for a restaurant to stay in business for decades they need to be very good. Second, the food here is delicious. I love their Polish food. Ive never had bad service either. Ive been here for birthday parties, reunions, family outings, and funerals.
The food itself deserves 5 stars. Delicious Polish food of my childhood. The service was the worst Ive ever had. Party of 5 was stuck (I chose that word consciouslyfor over 2.5 hrs with an unhappy waitress who mostly disappeared. We waited over a full hour for food, and with empty glasses until we asked someone else for help. We had to find other servers throughout to help us meet our few easy needs (ketchup, boxes, check). It was a hassle. Seemed like a good place to bring a toddler but the unbearable waits made no amount of snacks, books, toys, etc., suffice. I dont know many 2 year olds who can wait patiently that long in a high chair without their dinner. I tried to give benefit of the doubt but was constantly disappointed by the lack of care. Not one single explanation or apology (or smile). The kicker was trying to change my babys diaper with nowhere to do so. Food was great... Thats about it.
Food is just average, I got the seafood platter which had a fish fry, scallops and shrimp. $20 was way overpriced and the fish just OK. There are much better fish frys in Buffalo and it was served with no tarter sauce? Who serves a fish fry without tarter sauce? My wife got a combo with perogi and they charge extra for sour cream and onions. If you order the perogi as a appetizer, it come with sour cream and onions. Nice place but food is not great.
