Polaberry in Amsterdam-Zuidoost

I ordered birthday mini cakes for my girlfriend and she loved it.

Polaberry has been on my list for such a long time and I finally made it back to Amsterdam. Of course, I had to stop by here and try their sweets. I had the chocolate strawberries which are quite pricey. But they were good. A bit difficult to eat as the strawberry juice drips from your mouth when eating it.I loved the interior and the staff was also nice.

I placed an order for store pick-up and couldn’t have been happier with it. My wishes were taken into consideration, and the sales associate in the store was incredibly sweet! The cakesicles and the chocolate strawberries are truly amazing and—to me—definitely worth the price tag. 🍓

The service was fine, as was the store itself. A bit small with a heavy door, so keep that in mind if youre not able-bodied.The employee was friendly and patient, and the strawberries were great! I also got a cakesicle, aside from this I believe they also sell macarons.I was afraid the ruby or white chocolate would be too sweet but this was not the case, it was tasty. I still prefer dark chocolate though, but they dont have a lot of those.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, very good service and strawberry are very juicy, and the chocolate decoration are so pretty. Love it!

The strawberries are just as pretty as they are delicious. The store is gorgeous too, and located right in front of the bridge so can’t be missed. The ice cream-shaped cake slice was lovely too, and my only regret was not buying a box.

Expected more from the store, from what is posted/portrayed on Instagram.The couple who were served before us got a warm welcome. As small as this seems, they were offered a bag for their items(Which in quantity were less than ours).We barely got a ‘greeting’, We felt rushed, We bought 5 items (1 cakesickle, 3 strawberries and 1 cherry). We weren’t offered a bag, or even a napkin.. I didn’t ask for a bag purely because of the service we had already received, it seemed simply taking our order was an effort. Very disappointing, unsatisfactory service on our visit.

Supertasty but feels like a rip off when they are displaying the biggest and prettiest strawberry at the front and you get the tiny misshaped ones with decoration falling off.

Cute concept for chocolate and strawberry lovers. They had two vegan dark chocolate dipped strawberry options when I visited and one vegan brownie. The strawberries were delicious and fresh, it’s just a shame the vegan options are not as pretty as the others.

This place is so, so cute and a great stop for a bite-sized dessert. I tried only 3 of their chocolate strawberries and they were all so good - really fresh and lovely. Definitely going back to get the other flavours!

Terrible customer service! They should inform the customer if they are unable to deliver the order. Instead they just decided to keep the customer waiting. In the end, the customer has to call them to find out what the problem is.Do the people in the shop know that they are in service industry?Edit (adding response to the stores reply): as discussed in the call, all the reviews were given at the same time (this was a day before your call about refund and discount. Google might have notified you three separate times on the following day. Also, as discussed in the call, there can be multiple reviews, since all three of us were expecting the order. As for your accusation of harassment, the three separate calls to us to remove our review would count as harassment. However, I understand that Google is to blame this time, so I am not going to point fingers like you did in your reply. As for the mistake that you mention, we had called to clarify and also very clearly gave our address in that call as Eindhoven but your employee had given the false information. We had to wait four days and call back (like mentioned in my original review)

Beautiful interior & delicious chocolate strawberries!However, we imagined the place to be a wee bit bigger.Unfortunately there is no seating.

Small and cute place.The sweets looks amazing.You must take the white chocolate cube with peanuts inside, its amazing. The salted carmel and cashews round chocolate was good but not great.I sat to eat them on a bench on the canal and it was great.

The name means "pipe drawer" and refers to the long thin drawers which were used to store clay pipes of bygone days. The shop is indeed very narrow but is beautifully decorated and has a welcoming ambience.Theres always a steady stream of passers-by, many of whom drop into this delightful chocolate shop for takeaway smoothies, coffee, hot chocolate, chai latte, frappe and tea, or to try one of the many sensational chocolate creations. Speciality of the house is luscious strawberries coated with delicious Belgian chocolate. Chocoholics will find it difficult to resist the temptation of cakes, pastry, icecream, macaroons, pralines, cupcakes and other mouth-watering morsels.This is also the right address for stunning and unusual gourmet gifts such as boxed assortments, chocolate bars, cakes and floral bouquets adorned with chocolate smothered fruits, all hand crafted on the premises.Dont be deceived by its size. This place is such a magical experience, everytime I bring someone here they leave completely amazed, (and addicted to their cake pops too.The fruit is fresh, the staff is always kind, even though sometimes it gets VERY busy, and they even make custom orders for special occasions and birthdays that will take your breath away. Dont miss out on this shop. <3

Absolutely adorable little chocolate shop. Theyre most famous product are their varieties of chocolate strawberries. They also sell other chocolates, hot chocolate and other drinks but most people come for the strawberries. You can eat them in their most romantic seating area.

This place is amazing in every way. The sweets are as delicious as they look, the shop is incredibly cute and the owner is the nicest person. A must whenever in Amsterdam! ❤️

Pollaberry is one of the most cheerful sweets stores in Amsterdam.m, also hyper Instagramable. The place is lovely, the sweets are gorgeous and super fresh, during the pandemic you can still make an appointment for takeaway. Also, I have to mention that the staff is really friendly and always smiling. I highly recommend it in case you want to treat yourself with something that is not only tasty but also good-looking. My “at home high tea” was perfect with the gorgeous Polaberry sweets.

Large grains of juicy strawberries are coated with chocolate. The chocolate and strawberries go well together and it was really delicious! I will go again!

Incredibly expensive for a box of chocolate covered strawberries (9€ for a box of 4), but the strawberries are actually so big, fresh and juicy! It’s more of the novelty and photo op, check out how aesthetically pleasing and cute they are though! The lady in the shop was nice and the shopfront is also super cute. Something to try if you love strawberries, chocolates and cute pics.

Oh my God. I have died and gone to cakesicle heaven. I came here thinking that I’ll get some cute looking treats, snap a pretty Instagram picture and probably throw it out after a bite or too, because I didn’t even expect it to taste good. Well, I was wrong. I got the vanilla cakesicle and some chocolate covered strawberries and loved everything. I obsessed over the cakesicle and came back the next day of my two day visit in Amsterdam for more and even bought a box to take home to Germany with me. The cakesicles are very sweet, but in my opinion just perfect. I was surprised how well the cakesicles traveled. I got a box in the afternoon of a hot day and carried it around for a while, then let it sit in my hotel room at room temperature over night before I took it on a plane with me. The cakesicle tasted just as amazing the next day when I gave them to a friend back home. I was there on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon and both times there was no line.

Beautiful strawberry place! It’s a box of 9 for €20 but so worth it! They have cake pops as well and little drinks! Plus they do birthday set gifts like bouquets and cakes with the strawberry’s on! Would recommend trying :)

Incredibly cute sweets. Such a beautiful work. Unfortunately for vegans there are only two options, none of them is colorful of with strawberries. The vegan ball is really good!

OVERRATED. Perfect word to describe this place. It is all about the looks. Everything looks like a teenage girls dream and everything looks stunning on photos. The price? 2.2 euro for a dipped strawberry? Nah. Not much flavour to discuss either. The coffee is as good as from a machine coffee. I get that it is a gift that can impress, but must be stored in fridge and holds up to 2 days.

Polaberry is a must for an instagram post visit. They have so lovely cake pops and delicious pretty raspberries. The cafe itself is very tiny but if the weather is nice the surrounding Amsterdam canals and bridges make this little treat cafe stand out. It is quite a challenge not to buy them all. Worth a visit, both for your eyes and taste buds.

I absolutely loved Polaberry. I would love to have a little place like this back home in the UK. We had a Cappucino (Double Shot), a Strawberry Smoothie, a Unicorn Cakestick and 9x Coated Strawberries - which taste INSANE. Polaberry was founded in Amsterdam and their product range includes Belgian chocolate covered strawberries among other fruits, chocolate bars, bouquets with flowers and chocolate covered fruit and cakes. The interior of Polaberry is simply stunning and beautifully decorated. Such a super cute little place, definitely girly but my boyfriend loved it too and we both thought the chocolate strawberries were worth the price (we had 9x coated strawberries for €19). The Unicorn Cakestick was €4 and was different in texture to a normal cake but it was nice - very sweet.

I have been following Polaberry for a while on Instagram. Their page is so beautiful and tasty! I was so happy that they opened a store in Amsterdam so I decided to visit them. The queue was long and filled with tourists presumably. The store is quite small with some photo spaces and some other goodies you could buy. We went there around 4 PM that day and most of them were already sold out. Another ideal photoshoot of the box of your strawberries is next to the canal! It would be nice to expand your shop in the future with more seats! Keep up the good work!!

Its a small but beautiful shop in the middle of Amsterdam. The staff is friendly and the decorations are on point. The sell different products that are homemade. Belgian cover and strawberries, bouquets and ice cream. The place is a beautiful place for people who care about Instagram. I havent eaten my strawberries because Im too scared of ruining them. I will eat them shortly.

To be honest I always try to visit this cute shop when I am in Amsterdam cause it’s just so lovely I can’t resist to buy all of the types of the strawberries! And I always grab some chocolate bars for my beloved ones. Service is excellent and I really love the atmosphere of the family place. I feel like home here. So I highly recommend this experience and don’t forget to take a pic to gain enormous amount of like on your insta haha. I love you, Polaberry!

Just love this place, the strawberry chocolates are all good, doesn’t matter which one you take! Treat for the eye and mouth. Get the flower chocolate bouquet, a must buy there. Lekker!

Beautiful place, loved visiting here. Just by the. Canal and so close to the famous pulitzer hotel.Best part is the flower wall inside the shop for best pictures and the strawberries which are just amazing.
