Point Blanc - Tapas bar in Truth or Consequences, United States
I was a little disappointed to see they are keeping the same pizza recipe. I know were not in Chicago, but the key to good pizza is the SAUCE. Unfortunately, theyve always skimped on the sauce, even if you offer to pay for extra sauce. Without good sauce, pizza is dry and bland. Hope someone there will realize, pizza is supposed to have GOOD SAUCE! New owners now have a chance to get it right.
Awesome pizza and great beer selection
Great food and cool atmosphere. Staff was very friendly
Pizza, fish tacos & beverages were delicious. We had to bring Sangia home!
No complaints here! Got two medium pizzas (one cheese, one with two toppingsfor $15. Good price. Ordered for pickup and pizzas were ready when I arrived. Crust was thick (but not too thickand toppings were good. My new favorite pizza place in T or C.
Pizza was excellent, appetizers were good as well.
We sat on the large patio and ordered two margherita pizzas, and got some sangria. The drink came very fast and was a good balance of sweet and tangy. The pizza itself was fine, only complaint was that it took quite awhile for the order to come out.
This review is going to go back a month or so ago as well as my current review. A month ago, we were camping at the lake and wanted pizza. We found this place on Google and decided to try them out. We called...and called again...and called again, no answer. So we ended up going to another pizza place little further down the street who answered their phone. Now for todays order. We are camping at the lake again and wanted pizza. Called this place again and guess what....no answer! So we decided to drive to the restaurant and place our order for take out while we went and did grocery shopping. We ordered the large Meats pizza which was delicious! Now onto the garlic bites or whatever they want to call them....GROSS!!! On the drive back to our campground we wanted to try one of them since we were all pretty hungry. All of us were instantly disgusted with a super bitter and disgusting after taste. Tasted like way over use of garlic or just a bad recipe.I wanted to try it again thinking maybe dipping it in the marinara sauce would be good, nope! Could still taste the bitterness of them. They looked like fish sticks or chicken nuggets. (Look at the picture Super weird. All were different sizes and shapes. I cant even describe them. Not even sure what the taste was but to say the least, we wouldnt even touch the rest of it and threw it out. Pizza was good and we will go back for that.
Probably the best place in T&C. Always stop here when we come thru town.
Highly recommend this place. My husband and I had the nachos and Margherita (sp?pizza and it was great. The wine and beer served are locally made .... and taste great. If youre not sure what flavor you want just describe it to Christina and shell hook you up with exactly what youre wanting. Food was great ... service was great ... atmosphere was great. If youre in the area you should stop in and relax here.
Friendly and fun. Stopped for snacks but also great pizza.
Love this place all food is excellent along with great prices and great customer service! Sonny is the best!
The food was good, but the service was terrible. No direction on whether to sit or wait to be seated. Someone else served ahead of me. 3 tacos took 30+ minutes and they werent busy. Sat kind of near the bathroom and they started cleaning it while I was eating. Yuck. And I got no silverware for picking up the tacos that fell apart. Nobody checked on my water for a refill. Was recommended by hotel. I went back and suggested they omit that recommendation going forward.
Fantastic Food and very nice waiter. From Italy, we have appreciated everything.
Point Blanc is still excellent with a great beer selection, pizza and apps for reasonable prices. Their fried vegetables keep us coming back for more! I just tried the red Chile pork tacos and theyre excellent, they make their own taco shells that arent crispy or soft but just right.
On a work trip. Heading from ABQ to Las Cruces. With limited options we took to Google and ate at whatever we happened to pass by first. We set the bar low, and then we pulled up to a bowling alley. We said fk it and went in anyway. I was pleasantly surprised that this middle of nowhere bowling alley winery place had a pretty nice atmosphere on the inside. Still having low expectations for bad bar food, we got the BBQ pizza, buffalo chicken pizza and 1lb tots, and some cheese bread. It was all surprisingly amazing! The pizza/beer place back home with all the great reviews doesnt even come close to this place. We considered driving another 2 hours or so to come back again. Definitely check this place out if you happen to be looking for a sparkys trip but its too late :P
Really slow service, wrong food served, womens lacrosse on the t.v. Unfortunately, not a lot of choices in T or C on a Tuesday night.
We had the Margherita pizza the first visit and it was literally one of the best I’ve ever had. Soooo tasty. The crust was on point. We went back the very next night and again got the Margherita pizza with the BBQ Pulled Pork pizza. Amazing. The BBQ sauce was a little overbearing so I’ll ask for light sauce next time. We tried the Spinach and Artichoke Dip & Boneless Wings. So delicious, I dipped my pizza crust in the dip. The chips weren’t the best, warm pita would definitely compliment better, but the dip itself was so good there was definitely none leftover! The Boneless Wings offered a large portion with big wings. We ordered half Buffalo, half BBQ but they came all BBQ. No big deal, although I definitely would love to try the Buffalo. All in all the whole experience was awesome. I wish I had taken pictures but it was all devoured almost immediately. Ha. The wait staff were welcoming, very pleasant and offered a drink while we waited for the to-go order to be prepared. The ambiance was very chill and the restaurant felt very clean. We will definitely visit often. It’s rare to have such a excellent restaurant experience these days so I truly appreciate it when it’s better than expected. Keep up the great work! XoxoUpdate: August 2021 Still absolutely delicious. Pleasant and quick. Curbside service always on point. Thanks guys.Update: 2022 STILL THE BEST! 🥳 Always delicious and always on point... Hands down the best restaurant in T or C. Thanks for the perfect birthday dinner. 🍕Update: June 2022Stopped in Saturday @4pm for 2 Cheeseburger baskets and 2 Buffalo Chicken Pizzas. Not sure why, but it took about 45 minutes for this order. The burgers looked great, but were extremely salty. Fries weren’t cooked. Neither of us enjoyed the Cheeseburger baskets at all. Went to the trash. The pizza was delicious, as always. Overall, seemed like an off day. Will be back.
Great atmosphere at this taproom. Menu was very nice we had the margarita pizza which was exceptional. Sangria was really nice, highly recommend. Service was great all in all a Great experience and would visit again if ever driving through this area.
A little expensive for drinks, but good food and great staff. Pizza is probably the best in town. I can still have fish tacos if I want to get out of the house, but be good. I enjoy the experience eating here.
Amazing food with lovely staff that made us feel very welcome. Will recommend to everyone.
Wow! Beautiful interior with a funky shaped bar. The sangria was to die for and the food was outstanding. Diana and Sara were the best and the price was more than affordable. Thanks!
We went for dinner. My wife ordered Margarita pizza, I ordered fish tacos. We also ordered Nachos for appetizer.👉🏻The nachos was not good!! It have a taste of bleach. I think was the meet.👉🏻The fish tacos was good. Pico the gallo. Tortilla was home made. The fish: Tilapia.👉🏻Pizza “Margherita” was great 👍🏻 Topped with Roma tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese.I ordered a Blood Orange Cider Beer 🍺. Really good taste!!Waitresses were nice 😊Good place to visit!!
This place was wonderful! I’m so glad we stopped by. Everything was amazing! Good quality food and service!
Had a great dinner with pizza and a few brews. Always a treat coming here. You almost always run into a friend or two, this was the night!
I got take out. The pizza was just ok. The chicken wings were gross. Maybe it’s a southwest thing to put breading on the wings. But they were soggy. The celery that came with was brown. They didn’t give me napkins. Pushed me for a tip.
Great service, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The BEST pizza we have had in a long time. Strongly recommend this restaurant
We absolutely love this place :Diana and Britney are very helpful and friendly!! The beer and wine selection are great. Enjoyed the cheeseburger sliders with sweet potato fries. Took a pizza to go. Did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
Love this place! Great service. Good fun food. Their homemade sangria is good. They serve only New Mexicos beer and wine.
Hidden on the backside of what looks like a factory building, not visible from the main street, is concealed a lovely pizzeria that not only serves great food but also local New Mexico beers and wines.Friendly service, piping hot delectable pizza, zany Flintstones surroundings - what could be more New Mexico?
We ordered a few pizzas and the green chile cheese tater tots for take out while on a camping trip in the area. The price of the meal was very reasonable. The pizzas were pretty good, crisp crust, adequate toppings. The tater tots has a really off taste to me, likely new or needed to be changed frying oil. The food was also estimated to be ready at a certain time and we ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes after what was given to us as the pickup time.
Great pizza! Point Blanc has a really cool atmosphere, kinda like rainforest-y. They have all local area-made beers and wines. I really enjoyed the TorC Irish Red. The staff was super cool, they were hustling to make sure we felt welcome and cared for. If you ever want an awesome wine and dine behind a bowling alley, THIS is the place.
Fried Zucchini is the bomb! Reasonable prices as well. Got two medium pizza’s, a large salad for two, fried zucchini app & a beer for less than $50! Everything was delicious, service was excellent, will definitely be back!!!
Always make this place for pizza when in town. Perfect balance between thick and thin crust, added herbs. Their sauce is 😘
Awesome food! We had wings (mesquite and buffalo), crispy chicken salad and pull pork sliders, eveything was super delicious! The all the chicken had a crispy out side but juicy insideOur waitress was very friendly and gave great recommendations. Definitely worth the visit!!
Truth or consequence was full of great food and a nice, small feel. This little restaurant did not disappoint. The wings and the pizza were spot on, and I asked the waitress to surprise me with a good beer to wash down my cheat meal and she picked the perfect combo. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay there, and I still talk about how delicious the pizza was at this restaurant
Service was great every thing we ordered was honestly amazing. The red Chile in the pizza was delightfuly perfect, amazing flavor perfect amount of heat for anyone to enjoy. Tried the place randomly and will be a repeat customer for sure.
Perfect for a full meal or grabbing an appetizer and a drink. Friendly staff and good food.
Our party of 6 were greeted as we walked up to the business. We were welcomed and immediately had a table outside to sit. We ordered drinks and pizza. Drinks arrived in about 5 min. Awesome. The pizza was great. The waiter was very attentive and we had a wonderful experience. Thanks for making our trip to T or C worth while. Earlier we were at T or C Brewing Co and it was a total disaster. Point Blanc saved the day and I will definitely go back and highly recommend it.
Great place for friends and family. We prefer to sit outside for the simple beauty of the mountains in the near distance, fresh air and the odd, yet enjoyable atmosphere of a peaceful cemetery across the way. The food is always tasty and the service is always good, even when busy. A great selection of craft beers from New Mexico and a variety of wines. Be friendly and youll receive the same.
Seems to be were the elders of the community hang out. The beer selection was good and the staff was friendly. The food was actually quite good. However, we specifically commented that we couldnt wait to get our appetizer to tide us over, as we hadnt eaten in hours. And yet, the appetizer came out after both entrees. The staff really should have comped the item or offered to cancel it when the entrees came out. My friend said her wine was just okay and thought the selection could have been better.
Food was so delicious!! I had the margarita pizza and cheesy corn balls. Yummm!!! I would definitely recommend trying anything they have. My only recommendation is to acknowledge people when they show up, even if you are very busy. I sat there a while by myself without a hello or anything before getting a menu. Just a hello to know you realize Im there waiting would go a long way. Besides that, staff were friendly.
A local treasure. The pizza has just gotten better over the years. This is my go-to when Im too tired to cook. The staff is always friendly and I have had only good experiences since writing this review years ago.The food is good and reasonably priced with a nice selection of beer from New Mexico. Best Pizza in ToC!
Loved this little gem and hope to come back one day post-COVID. We ordered Buffalo chicken pizza and artichoke dip and both were delicious! The pizza crust was hand tossed and crunchy. Our server, Sonny, was very friendly and chatted with us while we waited. We will definitely be back!
Great food - we really enjoyed our pizza. The beer and wine selection was solid, and the wine flights are a fun option. The patio is spacious and pleasant with a nice mountain view. I really appreciated that the servers were wearing masks (and wearing them properly, no noses out), plus they were super nice and provided great service. All in all, this place was excellent and I would definitely come back!
Felt lucky to be able to getting seated with the few tables available but it was worth it. Got the tots with cheese and green chili along with BBQ pork pizza. Both dishes were amazing with the Scotia beer.
The best customer service I have had in many many years!!! Traveling with 2 kids under 5. Casey the server was cautious and happy serving our 8 month old and toddler. Engaging and helpful, she even brought over some celery sticks for the baby to nibble on and entertain herself. Food was great, beer selection and taste was amazing and very much needed after 9 hour drive in the car with 2 small kids. I would come again and tell all who travel this way to stop. Not just for the food but for the best service and smiles in NM. And the music selection was rock awesome!
Some of the best pizza in town. Tasty beers on tap , great atmosphere and sometimes live music. I love coming here with my little family. The staff is always super helpful and nice. Whether youre just passing through our cool little town or a town regular, this is a nice place to stop.
If you like wings Point Blanc is the way to go. They had some of the best wings my husband and I have ever tried, and my husband has tried wings from many a places! Our server was really nice too, made sure to check up on us often and apologized for the delay caused by a huge order ahead of ours. The pizza was good, not memorable though. The crust was kinda bland, although oddly enough, it tasted better/more flavorful after our leftovers were reheated the next day.Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food/beverages received. I would return here again for the wings alone. And personally, Im not the biggest fan of wings, so thats saying a lot.
This is the restaurant/bar located in the same building at the Bedroxx bowling alley. They have really great pizza. The BBQ pork pizza is really good. They have many other items on the menu that are delicious as well. Wings, tacos, pasta and great appetizers like spicy corn bites and smoked sausage. The bar serves local New Mexico beers. They have hard ciders and sangria as well. Parents can see into the bowling alley from the bar so they can keep an eye on the kiddos while they bowl.
