Pancras Rd, Kings Cross, London N1C 4TB, Lima
An elegant hotel setting for an all-day Modern British menu, with service from jeans-clad staff.
A nice selection of wines and the food was great too. Really pretty place with kind staff.
I visited this restaurant in 2019. Interior design of this restaurant was elegant. Foods were beautifully presented but wasnt taste great as they look like. I dont know if I wasnt hungry that much but I wasnt crazy about foods from here. I recommend you to try the English breakfast. That was my originally reason visited here but me and my friend ended up ordering other things. This place was quite pricy.
A perfect birthday breakfast. Topped off by a thoughtful greetings card from the PS&M team, written in the local language of each person.
Very pleasant place to sit down and eat breakfast while you wait for your train. Excellent cappuccino!
A wonderful restaurant - great food and excellent service.
Really tasty food, nice location and venue. The staff downstairs were really helpful and friendly! Staff upstairs could have been friendlier, paid more attention and been more enthusiastic though. They werent rude, they just didnt seem to put in much effort for example when laying our table the knife and fork were put the wrong way round, they didnt really smile or seem like they wanted to be there. Not particularly a problem but it would have improved the experience. Food was delicious though, well presented, nice size portions and reasonable price for London. Would come back.
Good breakfast options and friendly staff. They recommended reservations for breakfast but didn’t have any problems getting a table at 7:15 AM during my stay.
The service is amazing. Very professional, just as you’d expect from this kind of place. Food is delicious. And the atmosphere is very nice
Delicious food, great service, decent prices £££, overall top experience 👌👌
Great area and nice restaurant..service perfect. Was a great evening.
Beautiful surroundings professional staff, faultless service. Tasty food. Higher price than your average but well worth it!!
Very nice decor. Love by Eggs Royale. The helping of smoked salmon was quite generous.
Excellent lovely surroundings interior was exquisite service a little slow. Food was on point and my client was very happy with my choice of venue.
Booked online for ten am . It closes at around 10 to 12 which did seem strange . Friend was basically asked to leave. The online booking duesnt refiect their off opening hours . The place looked beautiful .
Its a very pleasant space, right between Kings Cross and St Pancras. When we were there it was almost empty, it would be a shame if it closed. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. Its not cheap but excellent value.
Beautiful decor, lovely friendly staff, delicious food and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend
From the outside its a hard find, but what a great eatery. Had the English breakfast for the first time. Perfection. Looking forward to the Easter brunch.
Definitely worth the small queue! The food was gorgeously presented and it tasted phenomenal. The staff was super friendly and efficient. We will most certainly be returning :)
What a simply fab experience. Lets start with the venue. Well it designed very stylish on the high end and the photos Ive added are just the common areas to give an idea on the swank of this place. The people are extremely attentive and smiles all round. The food is very high end and delivered in such style. If your wanting to impress then take them here.
A lovely spot for brunch with friends. I had avocado on toast but requested a few changes which they agreed to. My friend had the vegan burger which was great and we then finished with dessert, Apple Tart tartin and Sticky plum pudding. Really delicious. The venue is amazing, really stylish and the waiters are so attentive. Really recommend this place!
My wife came here alone to treat herself, messaging me to gloat. Mistake! She ordered several dishes. The spinach side came with a cockroach. Horror! Staff were mortified, of course. She left all the food, and walked away, appetite ruined.
A boozy brunch with some old girl friends. Exceptional food, drinks and service. Elegant surroundings and options to drink in the bar as opposed to the restaurant. Perfectly situated if you’re all travelling from multiple locations as we were. Cocktails were well made and delicious and some lovely touches such as petit fours as a birthday plate. Highly recommend super friendly staff very down to earth and accommodating. Thank you for a perfect day 👌
The vegetarian breakfast was delicious. The baked beans O M G. Excellent service and attention to detail. Quality products and cooked to perfection… the poached eggs were perfect 👍🏾. There is also a vegan option
I love going to Plum and Spilt Milk and it has always been fantastic. Staff are very friendly and attentive, food is great and great choice of drinks.
This place is super nice. Its not cheap but its worth every penny and the wine / champagne list is very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful place and very fancy, the breakfast was good but not speacial
Good and friendly service. Priced as fine dinning but food is only ok but not fantastic - so 4 stars rather than 5. Adventerous menu. Smart casual clothing. Entrance at the great northern hotel, first floor. I like the interior design of the hotel bar and the restaurant. Cozy feel. Bar area is popular and was packed on a Friday night.
Charming place. Loved the decor. A bit of a slow service for a Weds and menu is appetising but it felt too limited or not varied. Yet, it is an easy choice around Kings Cross and St Pancras.
Great location. Really nice food. Weve been here several times. And the food is always good. Not the cheapest. But nice for a treat.
Just delicious. Eggs Florentine was heavenly, beautifully cooked spinach, very light hollandaise and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Coffee was delightful. Dropped a point because the plates were cold, so the breakfast went cold too quickly.
Its on the 2nd floor when you get there, we had a bit of navigation trouble once inside the hotel where the restaurant is located! The decor is absolutely beautiful, especially the lighting. The whole vibe is very mid century modern luxe and I loved it. I would have been happy just sitting in a booth enjoying the environment. In addition to then decor, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The restuarant accommodates suitcases with bag check if youre heading to or from the train station which was fantastic. Now for the food. The menu was refined and high end but still offered many choices. We tried a variety of starters, entrees, desserts and cocktails and shared family style to try more dishes. We didnt have a single miss, everything was delicious, nicely presented, and well portioned. The standouts for us were the beef Wellington and the dessert that the restaurant is named for Plum + Spilt Milk (get the wine pairing that goes with it, you wont be disappointed).
How this area of London has changed in the past 15 years - a huge improvement. The GNH is a beautiful boutique hotel but this is a review for its restaurant.A Saturday afternoon spent here in lovely, railway station themed surroundings. The furniture in the small adjacent bar is beautiful and the whole place has a yesteryear charm. The dining room itself has floor-to-ceiling windows; lots of natural light and great views over St Pancras and Kings Cross. The staff are really friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy working here. A couple of mistakes were dealt with superbly. Great food and a wonderful ambiance. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous place! It’s inside the hotel and not very obvious to find but the design of that place is beautiful. We went for brunch and the food was great (eggs are perfect!). Very cosy, it’s perfect to sit down and catch up with friends or have a date.
The food was good, the decor was nice, the service was a mixed bag.We (2 of usgot seated at a corner so tight we had to sit sideways lest our knees are on top of each other. There were long gaps before order was taken and mains to be served. When we asked the manager to move seats because by that time there were plenty of empty tables she gave us a better table with a sour face. She didnt even say "enjoy" or "here you go" after dropping our mains. I wanted to try the namesake dessert but the whole experience just made me want to finish dinner and go. Me skipping dessert ? Anyone who knows me would know its a big deal. The place is not cheap either so I thought Id at least get a smile with the service. In summary, go there for the food and the drinks and make sure if anything didnt feel right tell them right away because they wont be proactive making sure (or even askingthat everything is all right.
Went for brunch with friends, everyone loves the food. Mushrooms on bread is super yum. Beautiful interior too, nice vibe :)
Possibly the best dining experience Ive had in 2018. Everything was just right. Atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the seating very comfy and felt like your own space, not too cramped or close to anybody else. Crispy pork belly and hand picked Devon crab were both delicious. The beef wellington to share was absolutely unbelievable and one of the best Ive ever had. Proper thick slices too. Plum and spilt milk desert was good, but anything after the the beef wellington was going to be a slight comedown. The service is also fantastic - friendly and not pompous or snobby like some places. Would very highly recommend.
Entrance is hidden with no markings so just ask. Food was very good and taste and portion size is not overwhelming. Puddings and dessert is crazy yum, recommended with appropriate dessert wine. Staff genuinely helpful and nice.
I am so impressed with this place. I saw mixed reviews so here it is for those of you on the fence - GO.Classy venue, good lighting, nice bar downstairs if you want drinks before, proper napkins (this is important to me!), great and reasonable wine collection, food was really special - their pie is to die for. Not too loud so you can actually talk, very attentive staff and the salted truffles - I moaned a little When I tried them. Super impressed with the manager and I will definitely be back. Need I say more?
Good location with nice interior decor and a good atmosphere for an elegant breakfast. The staff were really welcoming & helpful. There was a large section for breakfast made with good quality products. I had the hot smoked salmon, which was quite nice. Great place to come to start your day.
Good fresh food, skillfully presented; friendly staff. Our party of three had the crab and scallops as starters, and the squid & ink risotto, and seabass as mains. All delicious. The deserts - olive oil and pistacchio cake and the restaurant signature desert - were also good.
Perfect place for business lunches and business breakfasts, quiet atmosphere, quality and great menu. Corporate vibe. this place is a safe bet for meetings around kings cross.
Picked this restaurant while in London to try Beef Wellington for the first time. Best decision ever!
Excellent, as always.I really like this restaurant for either breakfast if you’re staying at the GNH or for dinner and I’ve tried both.Apart from the food, the service is the best part. Staff and genuine, friendly and consistent. The same faces are on hand each time you visit and nothing is too much trouble.Considering it’s a such a busy location this is a fairly quiet restaurant and is definitely better than the noisy bar downstairs. Highly recommended.
I particularly enjoyed going to this restaurant. Although difficult to find (we had to ask numerous passing police officers and Kings Cross station staff where the restaurant actually waswe got there in the end and we were not disappointed. We went on a Saturday for lunch (note that the A la Carte lunch isn’t available on weekends; however, an ample selection of food is still available!and I ordered the burger (medium rare). I have to say, it was very good for an upmarket restaurant; the patty was cooked to perfection and it came with a very nice sauce (it tasted like a pleasant mix of tomato sauce and BBQ sauce). For desert I ordered the signature dish: plum and spilt milk! It involves spiced-sweet plums on top of a sponge cake (the “plum”), served with a scoop of sweet-milk ice cream (the “spilt milk”). It was very nice and not too sweet; the perfect end to a perfect meal! The restaurant itself was very nicely designed; it claimed to have been themed around the first dining car on a train (which was named the “Plum and Spilt Milk Cafe”).All-in-all, I think this was a fantastic restaurant and I highly recommend eating here should you find yourself hungry in Kings Cross!
Great food, and good wait staff. Can be a bit busy at times but food always comes promptly. I love eating here!
As soon as I walked in I was impressed. The decor is lovely, dark wood with cream leather booth seats and armchairs, the ambience is cosy and warm. The service was great, first class. I ordered the lobster egg benedict as a starter and it was amazing. My main course was the burger, it came with crispy bacon and cheese, it was huge, if your hungry definitely order this, I wasnt able to eat it all. My friend ordered the dark chocolate Mousse and she was in heaven. Am definitely going back, amazing food.
Definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch! Close to St Pancras International and Kings Cross station makes it a great place to stop off if waiting for a train. The gorgeous and elegant decor creates a relaxed atmosphere. The art work on the wall as you go up the stairs is worth looking at!The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. All meals are beautifully presented and taste devine.I can recommend both the Haggis and duck egg and The eggs Royale!
Fantastic fine dining restaurant a stones throw from Kings Cross. Stumbled upon this and although dressed somewhat shabbily still treated well. Excellent service and very tasty food! Looking forward to coming back for brunch or breakfast.
Nice venue, nice staff. I loved the bread and the desserts, wasnt so happy about the main course.
Their bread and butter for starters were delectable and their roast sirloin of beef has a good portion esp. for a petite lady/small appetite. Staffs were very attentive.
