Beautiful lights all over the center of the square , falling down as the roof o a circus. Theres a must on a corner: a stop at La Cigale to buy an icecream. I recomend "Nocciola" flavor (Pismontes Cream).

Tourists, be advised that this is the starting point of many political demonstrations and marches. This square has an historical importance to our city. If you see protesters there, act accordingly. You will see markets there from time to time and its a much better place to buy a souvenir than from a souvenir store.

This is a square with park around and it has restaurants and pool hubs near by. The bus stations are also near by easy for transportation.

Love this place! Theres a bus stop in this area plus if you need to connect a public wifi the signal is good on this part of Montevideo centro. 😊

Beautiful as part of Montevideo’s heritage, it numbers bus stops, restaurants, crafts fair, live shows and restrooms. May a bit dark at night, being in need of some cleaning. Nice place to meet, specially during afternoons.
