Plaza San Francisco - Plaza in San Carlos, Bolivia
Plaza San Francisco in San Carlos
Description
Its just a square with constant protesters, at least that is how it was the days I was there. But hey, theres free wifi if you get closer to the market right in front of it.
MoreGood place to start walking...
Is very good
I feel for I feel meeting point.
Linda
Crowded, dirty, unsafe
Lots of shows and entertainment in this square. Right next to the mercado (fruit bowl for 2$ huge glass & food under 3$)
MoreBeautiful Cathedral and a large area in front filled with performers.
Beautiful place.
Good
A spectacular place that has withstood the rest of time seeing many key moments of Bolivian history
MoreElectric for La Paz day!
Just a big chaos, felt uncomfortable
besides de church building, theres not much to see, and it can get a little unsafe from the evening onwards
MoreOpen air square with vendors , stores street artists and more. Very touristy.
Nice place
All tourism industry rises here. One of "Casco Viejo" most known and transited places of Old La Paz. Alongside museums, church and uphill street market leading you to mystic places like "Witches Market"
MoreA historic place, I recommend visit the museum inside
Nice place to chill, heres the life in La Paz!But cringy tiktokers eww
Spacious but it feels dangerous because of alcoholics.
Located in the historic center of La Paz, its a beautiful building, surrounded by other cultural places and local traditional food. The city is really high above sea level, so take it slow, is difficult to do common stuff even walk and breath sometimes, so drink a lot of water and tea.@Aventure.dos
Morereligious heritage of La Paz, a very gothic place.
Many jobless people were wandering around, and some of them even kept saying some nonsense like “arigato” to travellers randomly. A bit disgusting.
MoreThis place is amazing you can find history of La Paz at any step you take
Its a historical landmark!!
Amazing place
Beautiful church, if you have the opportunity to enter, you can ask for a tour into the church. I recommend it
MoreAlways busy...
One of the best landscapes in the city of La Paz
It is a pretty beautiful place, very crowded but very nice
Nice place with a lot of people. Nosy, funny, beautiful.
Little dirty but calmly
Is a historic place since the colony
A great place to meet up
Very nice place with beautiful church!
Typical in La Paz...in despite of the traffic and street vendors which make the whole area seem hectic
MoreIts big. There are a lot of cultural public displays
The best thing about this plaza is that people can enjoy entertainment - like clowns, political demonstrations, dancing, and also people can enjoy a lot of good food. Its well-maintained, and apart from that there are many people to get to know as well if you like to be social.
MoreVery beautiful plaza in the center of Cusco
Good place a little dirty, but overall nice place
Cool place
Traditional Square, interesting at nights
Many popular events especiallyon Friday night.
Was great last Sunday it seemed the whole town was out and about
Located in the downtown its a place where all the people pass by because of the San Francisco church the main attraction located right here furthermore there are the streets clowns by the way if you like to laugh its only some steps up its worth to visit.
MoreBeautiful sightseeing with a exquisite church that was build with Catholic and natives junction of cultures influence.
MoreOne of the most touristic places visited in La Paz. The sorroundings have places where you can eat. Sometimes a little dangerous because of thieves.
MoreGood place to visit the beautiful San Francisco church and museum and walk up calle Sagarnaga to score some t-shirts, alpaca sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves or woven tapestries for the folks back home. The square itself is usually full of locals using it as a meeting point. Do be aware of pickpockets and small gangs of smalltime thieves - not a huge problem but it does happen sometimes.
MoreA not so great Plaza Mayor. Not much going on besides having a church in it. Not much else, not worth visiting. Lots of urine smell in the area.
MoreWell, nice idea the visit Bolivia in 2015
