Its just a square with constant protesters, at least that is how it was the days I was there. But hey, theres free wifi if you get closer to the market right in front of it.

Located in the historic center of La Paz, its a beautiful building, surrounded by other cultural places and local traditional food.The city is really high above sea level, so take it slow, is difficult to do common stuff even walk and breath sometimes, so drink a lot of water and tea.@Aventure.dos

The best thing about this plaza is that people can enjoy entertainment - like clowns, political demonstrations, dancing, and also people can enjoy a lot of good food. Its well-maintained, and apart from that there are many people to get to know as well if you like to be social.

One of the most touristic places visited in La Paz. The sorroundings have places where you can eat. Sometimes a little dangerous because of thieves.

Good place to visit the beautiful San Francisco church and museum and walk up calle Sagarnaga to score some t-shirts, alpaca sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves or woven tapestries for the folks back home.The square itself is usually full of locals using it as a meeting point. Do be aware of pickpockets and small gangs of smalltime thieves - not a huge problem but it does happen sometimes.

A not so great Plaza Mayor. Not much going on besides having a church in it. Not much else, not worth visiting. Lots of urine smell in the area.
