Plaza Salcedo (Dancing Fountain) in Vigan

A quick snap for a great pose on this well known spot around Ilocos Sur.Just you know, after the recent earthquake there were damaged on the area.On going repairs, needless to say a spectacular view!

I recommend visiting it at night. Not sure though if the earthquake also affected it.

It has a nice view, a good place to rest or wait for your companion and at night it was beautiful because of its dancing fountain.

Spectacular show just after dark. The kids loved it so at only 20 minutes, it’s over quick. Get there a little early to get the better seats, up a little higher. Varied music selection will appeal to all.

Great place to end the evening! Uplifting music together with the dancing fountain. The kiddies loved it and screamed when it started. Starts promptly at 7 pm. Sit on the side facing Crisologo for the best view of the laser show.

Fantastic scenery in the Philippines. Hot tourist spot with souvenirs. Traditional horse and cart. Good restaurants in the area.

The plaza brings you back to the old times since they preserved heritage houses even though they converted it to commercial establishments already.

One of the things that is a must when you visit Vigan is watch the dancing fountain at the plaza right across the Vigan Cathedral. Shows starts promptly at 7:00 pm every night and lasts for 20 minutes. Benches are provided around the fountain where the public can enjoy the show. Vendors roam around the area selling water, popcorn and snacks. The show is free.

I had Vigan empanada for the first time and it was SO GOOD! The batter was hot, light, and crispy! The veg was generous. Loved that there was egg and even more Vigan longganisa. I actually had Vigan longganisa for breakfast, lunch, merienda, dinner, and even dessert!

We watched the dancing fountain to cap of the night in Vigan Ilocos Sur. The show started promptly at 7pm and featured a medley of songs. Perfect night weather. I can tell that the locals also are proud of their town.

Plaza Salcedo named after the Spanish conqueror, Juan de Salcedo is best visited early morning or late afternoon to avoid the hot sun at its strongest and to fully enjoy the quieter atmosphere of this elliptical plaza with its cooling fountain display. From Plaza Salcedo, one can see and walk leisurely to the Saint Paul Cathedral.

Fun event at night in vigan! Great way to cool off when it is so hot outside. It tends to get crowded and be ready to get wet especially if the wind picks up!

Nice family outing. Reasonably long show with music that many danced to.Pleasure to see the children, watched by smilimg indulgent parents, screaming as they played around in the fountains. A lovely gsme to try and guess which one would spurt next, and go and sit on it !

Another historical place ive visited. One of the tourist spot in Vigan. I have seen some foreigners who are really enjoying while watching the dancing fountain. Some of them are taking videos and dancing to the tune. Fountain dances in an almost an hour i guess. It was fun and relaxing. You forgot your problem once in a while.

We had an amazing night watching the dancing fountain in Plaza Salcedo. There are benches around the area so you can just sit and relax while enjoying the music and the lights of the fountain. Consider watching it when you plan to visit Vigan.

We enjoyed so much....watching here....not as big like in Dubai but the feeling is so warm...the people whose watching youll see how they enjoyed it they were dancing and laughing around....

Viewed the dancing fountain twice within the same and I still cant get enough of it. Great choice of music especially towards the end. Must visit when you go to Vigan.

If you have seeing a water fountain show before like the one in Vegas, then this will not be up to par. The music doesnt sync with the water fountain. The fountain is super dirty. Picture are from the city and not the fountain.

Every Saturday and friday the dancing pountain starts at 7:40 pm to 9:00pm here in Vigan ilocos sur. In front of the capital city and municipality youll find the pauntain. Its really great to see.

It was alright. I wish the enforcement on no smoking was stricter, I had to endure a lot of smokers trying to watch the fountain and lights show. Apart from that, I bet Jose Rizal would be proud of what weve accomplished so far.

We were entertained with a 30-minute long musical dancing fountain show on the night we were about to leave for home and it was funny seeing people trying to avoid getting soaked. 😂 So bring an umbrella in case it gets windy.

When we got there. So many people are waiting to watch the dance of the fountain. Many peoples enjoyed it with their children and young at heart.

Plaza Salcedo is truly a World Class tourist destination in the northern part of Luzon, specifically in Vigan City of Ilocos Sur.The Dancing Fountain which is famous because of the movements of waters that go with the spirit awakening music being played while the fountain seems to be dancing, captured the hearts of many Filipinos as well as the adventurous foreigners who visit the place.Plaza Salcedo is located just in front of the historical Church of Vigan, the St. Paul Cathedral.One may love to stay overnight in Vigan just to see the lights and fountain that appear to be dancing through the colorful shadows of the night.

It was a good experience visiting plaza salcedo. We watched the dancing lights fountain show. You wont starve while watching because there are lots of food around the place. Just get mosquito repelants, there are lots of mosquitoes that could bite you.

Even tho its raining when we visited Vigan ... We didnt want to missed the dancing fountain. The tricycle driver said that the fountain operates from 6pm to midnight every hour so we went there to watch around 8pm but when we were at the site It was silent, no show, but there were people waiting for it amidst the rain. So we went to eat at Jollibee across the road and while eating the show started. Good thing for us we were sitted near the window where the show can be clearly seen. It was beautiful, I cant compare it to any fountain show cause this was the first show Ive seen so far. Lucky us we witnessed the last show for that day. So the info. That was shared to us was false. The 2nd or last show was 8:30pm to 9:00. The first show was 6:30 to 7:00

Check it out when you visit Vigan Ilocos Sur. Great place to bring young children. They will enjoy dancing water fountain. Good eating place around the area.

It is a beautiful, peaceful park. Had lots of benches to sit and relax. Benches are under the shady trees so you can cool down on a hot afternoon. Too bad the dancing fountain was under repair when i visited.

Beautiful and relaxing lights! Complemented by lively music. The Dancing lights begin from 7:00PM, lasting for around 30 to 40mins, so its a full 40minutes of delightful lightshow and energetic music! You have to go there early though, since the seats can become filled up fast. :)

The Dancing fountain is one of the must see attraction of Vigan. It is better to go here earlier so you can get the best space to see the fountain for it will be crowded there. And don’t stay on the other side of the fountain where there are holes in the ground for they are mini fountains. We saw some people bring cameras and not aware of the fountain so when the music started they were surprised by the water. And we during our visit there we got lucky to meet our Vice President Robredo. It was a fun experience indeed.

One of the most visited place in Vigan. This place is a park that offers an amazing show of fountains (for free!). The show starts at 7 in the evening, for this is the amazing part of the night. And it goes for about an hour or 2.Many tourist loves visiting and want to watch the show for its beautiful dancing fountain (that you can only see in Vigan, I have never heard any other like this yet).I love seeing those beautiful lights within the fountain that goes on like water dancing. It was such an amazing and enchanting thing to watch. 😊

Plaza Salcedo is named after the founder of Vigan City, Juan de Salcedo. He named it Villa Fernandina de Vigan before it became Ciudad Fernandina, and finally, Vigan City.One of the main attractions here in Vigan is the Dancing Fountain of Plaza Salcedo. Nearly hundreds of tourist and locals alike flock this place just to witness this marvelous show.Vigan’s dancing fountain show starts at seven in the evening and lasts for about thirty minutes. If you missed it, worry not, it has a repeat performance after an hour. And again, if you manage to also miss that, you still have tomorrow’s show to watch—it runs each and every night.

Probably the highlight of my Vigan experience, not to deride Calle Crisologo or anything, but I could definitely say I had way more fun here than in Calle Crisologo.

I keep coming back to see the dancing fountain everytime i visit Vigan. The vibrant display of colors and the occasional spray of water never cease to mesmerize me. Highly recommended to tourists and locals alike.

This place is very popular. There are many shops and restaurants to go to. There is the Cathedral and City Hall which are big tourist spots. But the main attraction is the dancing fountain. It uses water, lasers, music and lights to create a magnificent show. I highly recommend it. Its at 7:30 Monday to Friday and 7:30 and 8:30 on Saturday and Sunday. It does get very busy so get there early. The only downside is the traffic. There are so many people visiting there is a lot of traffic.

This is a must see attraction in Vigan happening at night. Gigantic colorful fountains is showcased to your delight.

This place is only good see at night or when the fountains are on. In the morning it looks like any ordinary plaza. Sometimes, the water here is also dirty.
