This bustling town plaza features a monument to Father Jose P. Burgos, plus food kiosks.
The best place to unwind and relax
Good place to sit down and relax!
Very goodLoadGcashBills♥️👍🙏😇
Dine at Plaza Burgos,. Share time with other people.. Nice place to stopby for first timers😊
I came during the aftermath from the 7.1 earthquake and tourism lives on just like the locals of Vigan City a.k.a. One of the Seven Wonder Cities of the World.
Visit this place during the night and after the earthquake. The whole place is so quiet. But its still beautiful. I hope they can restore all the damage structures.
We arrive at Plaza Burgos early in the morning and it amaze me cause its only 6:00 am yet the area is so clean, and you can see there are a lot of street sweeper and cleaner at the area.. Me and my family enjoy taking photo there. Plus the fact that its surrounded by food court & vendors. In the afternoon the number of people are at peak and they are able to maintain cleanliness there. The only problem is there is no available comfort rooms/ wash room in the area (that is operational).
Had fun buying empanadas! 1 for P40.
One of our stop overs during pur 5 daya North Loop motorcycle ride. Nice helpful people. Good food.prices just right. Plaza is very clean. Tricycles drivers are honest and really helpful.
The place is amazing
Like an open food court. Not enough benches or shade
Loved the place and its ambiance. Bought some souvenirs and took a lot of pictures. The old structures fit my old soul. Didnt get bored at all. It was so fun!
Tho sparce and limited in content, it maintained museum in ilocos.
Wide open spaces. Adjacent to Plaza Salcedo.
Yummy empanadas. Order the double egg and double longganisa for a more filling and less floury experience. Cheap too!
Nice clean place with a food court and ice cream vendors
Nice place in Vigan. You can see the town itself from there.
The "empanada" location. They already have new food court . And neat to see. Buildings , I see same here, in our city of Vigan. Fair and same design with the other buildings here. You can see here the monument, (statueof Philippine Hero Dr. Jose A. Burgos( a priestOne of the "Gomburza" ~ Filipino men heroes in 19th century.
Plaza is ok, but nothing about it seemed super spectacular. Fine enough plaza to earn average number of stars. Advantage of this plaza is that it is near commercial attractions, so you can just drop by if you want to see it without making an extra, special trip.
On holiday with my pinay fiancée Plaza Burgos is beautiful, (maganda), worth a visit and it is close to the cathedral. AMAZING salamat.
I love how Vigan made this monument to commemorate Father Jose P. Burgos, who fought against Spanish Rule and was born in this city.It also serves as the lungs of this busy area where people can enjoy themselves.
Famous place amongst the locals and tourists alike. This place is very much alive and busy with people either selling food, eating or simply passing through. This is the more ideal place to buy their famous vigan empanada freshly prepared and cooked right in front of you. The empanada is made of soft dough, filled with vegetables and the vigan longanisa and egg, deep fried and best eaten with sukang iloko (local vinegar). Visiting vigan is not complete without trying the local cuisine.
Beautiful place to go with your family while enjoying the famous Vigan empanada
Plaza Burgos is a nice place to hang out and rest after the long walk from Calle Crisologo.I just wish that they take out the election posters hanging around the plaza. It ruin the ambiance
super love this place. will definitely come back and visit again
Recently redevelopmed.no shade to sit no proper benches to sit on. Too many lamp posts. What was the architect thinking. Very poor work.
Clean and bright. Perfect for bonding.
The place nice old scenery.
Too crowded during daytime but you will enjoy at nightime its just like going back in time during the spanish era that is when they started to discriminate filipinos. Nostalgic and historical food shops are everywhere and anywhere, you will enjoy your strolling.
Plaza burgos by nightVigan Citys night attraction, after you stroll the heritage village sit and relax at the plaza and witness the dancing fountain starts at 7:00 pm.
Crowded especially at night but I like the old vibe
The local government made the church complex like of Intramuros in Manila.Stone bricks are new and it adds elegance of the church, though the open park beside is currently closed.
one of the most visited tourist spots in vigan. although the weather in ilocos is usually hot, the tourist spots are mostly worth the sweat ,literally. this is one of the historic places u can visit, take late night or early morning walks to experience crowdless appreciation of the place, or simply drop by for souvenirs and notable kalesa rides around the area. some of the buildings are being restored while some parts were replaced and somehow lost their old/historic looks.
Beautiful place. It feels like ive accidentally step into a portal that took me back in time.
Such an amazing experience. Got a lot of things to share to my family and friends and planning to be back again.
Nice place. I would like to visit again during off season.
Named after one of the three priest collectively known as the Gomburga -Father José Burgos. The plaza is the best place to get your street food fix. like the famous Vigan empanada, okoy, sinuglaw etc.
Dream come true!Vigan, the worlds wonder city truly brought me to the experience as if I am in the times of Spaniards in the Philippines.Salute to the architectural design of houses and buildings. The culture in which every human race will LOVE. The Filipino living.
Their blue berry cheese cake is good but what was served to us was old stock. Staff at the counter was not so courteous, she was frowning but shes pretty.
Buzzing with life and lights. Empanada is something worth the stop. Parking is tad difficult to find this time of the year (December). Great place to start going to other tourist destination. Near Calle Crisologo as well thus could get crowdy depending on the time of the day. Much festive park compared to other parks compared to Laoag, Batac and other municipalities.
Its my very first time to visit Vigan city and love it... Vigan city is the only in city in Philippines awarded as "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO and "New 7 Wonders Cities" in the world...
A very peaceful town in the north. Though it is a city, it is not that busy place like metro manila and the traffic is not heavy.
As of now there are some road repairs going beside the area so its better to find a good spot to park your vehicles
This is the park near Calle Crisologo. This is where you can find the infamous dancing fountain that starts at exactly 7:30PM and said to last for an hour. Its a very famous landmark even by the locals. Surrounded by different establishment that you can find in the city. It has this nice looking lights hanged in the trees. I love walking in the area. Ive tried a very popular empanada in a kiosk near the area.
Clean place.. Its enjoyable for tourist, both local and foreign.. Specially with a warm cup of Taho.. 😁
Plaz Burgos gets packed with tourist at night, because of the Fountain Show. I love how the local government made the whole plaza tourist-friendly. Also, its very accessible from some of the main attractions in Vigan, like Calle Crisologo and Vigan Cathedral (which is just across the plaza)
A bit crowded, but a very nice public park and a local food haven. 👍
Has food stalls that offer authentic Ilocano dishes such as sinanglao and empanada at cheap prices.
Vigan is a one of a kind tourist destination. The old buildings and brick road makes one feel like you are travelling back in time. Bring a pamaypay or portable fan because it is crowded by tourists.
You will definitely enjoy more if you experience Kalesa ride . Never missed to visit The Bell Tower, Former provincial jail but now Museum.Love the place.
