Playhouse Bar and Kitchen in Nottingham
Description

Really surprised how good the bar area is. Definitely will be back
Oh dear! My partner and I have tried to support the restaurant over the last four years but it doesnt improve. We had a meal before the pantomime and it was very poor. Weve given up on it now. If you want a reasonable meal and youre going to the Playhouse go to Browns over the road.
MoreOverpriced and lacklustre indifferent service from glum faced staff. On edit....Ive been back in as I am often working in the area and it would be a good space to grab a coffee and catch up on emails. If anything the service is getting worse. Utterly appaling.
MoreEsta en el teatro muy buen ambiente y con un razonable Restaurante
Brilliant pre theatre place to eat
Boring menu, average food, poor and slow service. Used to be a lot better!
Sandwich could off be a bit fresher, over all staff friendly and cafe looks very clean
MoreJust popped in for a quick cuppa as passing. Tea hot but only offered a cup not a pot however the cake was nice.
MoreThe food from the kitchen is fairly expensive, but not more so than at other arts venues.
MoreA bit basic, kind of diy a little, nice space tho
The staff are wonderful and the food was, until recently, also wonderful. But a summer experiment reduced a fine dining restaurant to little short of a burger bar. Thankfully they plan to return to their previous high standard in the autumn when, Im sure, they will rocket back to their five star status.
MoreIt is so nice place
Service was very slow and food was only okay. Not a place I would rush back to.
Booked a pre theatre meal and was disappointed after looking forward to it as it was a birthday treat for a friend . Tried to order the special on the board to be told they didnt have it ( should have been wiped off ). Only 2 vegetarian options and neither sounded great. Decided to make up with having dessert and was then told they didnt have the dessert we wanted either . Good job the play at the playhouse made up for it .
MoreLovely food and very good service.
Modern. Food really good. Great location.
Nice view of theatre and plenty of room. Usually outdoor seating to relax (with comfortable seats). I sit there to wait for my friend to finish her piano lesson and have a coffee. The drinks are always made very quickly. Have to admit I havent tried the food yet but my other friends often comment that its nice.
MoreNice to have a coffee after Yamaha school classes. Latte very chic.
Used to have lots of take out options for vegans. No more it seems. The staff seems to have no interest or knowledge of veganism. The only thing to eat was salad. I was offered potato salad which wasnt vegan! The hot chocolate was Luke warm. Ive heard it is due to new management.
MoreQuick coffee ...nice reasonably priced
Lovely outside area..have visited on numerous occasions over the years only to see this venue worsen in the last couple of years..thought I would give it try again today..walked away after standing at a bar with no staff after 5 minutes...there were staff on the deli but when I approached I was ignored as something behind the counter was more interesting..do not bother
MoreStaff very rude, waited 45 min for food. Duck spring rolls very nice, lamb and fish both managed to be undercooked AND dry, which i suppose is quite impressive.
MoreStubbled across this restaurant by chance last time I was in Nottingham for a meeting.I am Celiac and find it hard to eat out but these guys cracked it. I had a Gluten Free super food wrap. Definitely one of the best lunches Ive eaten out.The food was nice and fresh. The flavours were amazing. Only wish I had the recipe.Definitely recommend.
MoreCame this morning for a pre-work coffee. Excellent staff and Managers, made me feel very welcome and will definitely be back for more
