Playa Loberia in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno

Yet another sea lion hangout. More people than at other beaches, I think because the tours find here, but you can take a trail further along the coast and have some nice views and wildlife to yourself.

Very relaxing beach with sea turtle and sea lions

Take a taxi ($10 round tripand spend the day here. Beautiful beach filled with sea lions and marine iguanas. Snorkeling was also amazing.

Out of experience was planning to avoid this beach as I figured given it is so close to to town it would be very busy and probably not much wildlife, but I forgot I was in the Galapagos!Amazing beach , great snorkeling, awesome and beautiful hike!

This place looks really good and fun to hang out at. Also, there’s a nice viewpoint ~30 minutes of walk from there. However, the water is rocky and it’s hard to snorkel here.

Really nice sandy beach, not crowded, and packed with sea lions. Its a great place for snorkeling, because we saw plenty of sea turtles.

Excellent snorkeling experience!! We saw so many sea turtles and so many colorful fish. Sea lions are everywhere as well.We had our own snorkeling gear but it is possible to rent wetsuits in town. We were here in October and the water was quite cold. I was happy to be warm in my wetsuit.There are no bathrooms and only a couple of small benches to sit on. A few pegs for gear, too. The water and sea life are the stars here!

I gave it a 5-star: perfect snorkeling site for sea turtles, sea lions, and many kinds of fish. The sea lions family is taking the control of this place, and the alpha male is busy patrolling the area, better watch out!

It was a bit rough for snorkeling. We saw a turtle and a sea snake along schools of fish.

Nice white beach with seals overall. Combine it with a stroll in the sunset or take a taxi there.

Absolutely stunning - the water, the beach, the sea lions, the iguanas. It is exactly what I hoped for when coming to the Galapagos. Just an amazing place in general and a great place for snorkeling. The fish are stunning!

Great place to swim and snorkel

Cute baby sea lions and great snorkeling, with rats, turtles and all colored fishes. We came back twice!

Awesome place, and beach with nice waves for surfers, for Shure you need lots of sunscreen because there is no place you can hide from the sun 🌞!

A great place to go snorkeling. Not to many Sea Lions but still enough to satisfy. Beautiful beach but not very big. Still a great place to visit.

Great snorkeling spot, you can see marine turtles and fishes without going too far away. The sea lions will swim with you and are very friendly. My 7 and 6 yr old children had a great time

Get there are low tide and you can swim turtles, sea lions, and see many fish. Great visibility and just a $3 cab ride from town. Would highly recommend this spot.

Cool beach for snorkeling... Like very cool!

Awesome place! You must go to do snorkeling along with seals, sea turtles and fishes. Go early, or during the siesta time. The current of the water might be strong and there are some rocks around that area, but nothing to be worried. I was there in May, the temperature of the water was warm, have fun!

2$ taxi ride from town. Schedule the return trip or wait for another taxi to do a drop-off. Nice walk. Hot and sunny. Wildlife and very little shade

This was one of our favorite beaches on San Cristobal. You can take a taxi from town $3, or walk approx 45 mins to get here. From the beach there is a trail you can walk along (15minsto get to see the cliffs and many frigate birds and other birds there. This beach has some really cute playful sealions. One little one silently waddled his was over to me while I was sunbathing (eyes closedand gave me a real surprise up close! Super cute. Not a lot of shade, bring an umbrella! The sun is HOT!

Good place. There are lots of lava rocks which makes entering the water a bit complicated

Worderful spot to swimming with turtles and sea lions just outside San Cristobal. You can get a taxi 3USD and enjoy the beach for free! There is also Baywatch if anything happens there

Amazing gorgeous beach with tons of sea lions and big surf. The sand at this place was full of wonder and the sunset was epic! Cannot wait to return.

Lots of Matine Iguanas. If you are going to hike to the peak, bring good hiking shoes.

After a mostly uninteresting and uninspired walk from town, past the airport, youll end up here at Playa Loberia. The textures and colours, even on a dim day, are incredible. Youll see a lot of marine iguanas here!

Very nice beach, people usually bathe there but tide was up and we couldnt do it. Nice place to check out sea lions though.
