Plants - Vegan restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan
a western vegetarian restaurant full of delightful foods. love the tastes.proportion are also good for just 1 person.
Great western style vegan joint. I had the falafel plate main. Best falafel in town (which isn’t hard in Taipei though). Focaccia starter with EVOO/balsamic and pumpkin dipping sauce was nice. My friend had pierogis and borscht which were also great. The service was super slow which is why I’m giving it 4 stars.
The best vegan restaurant in whole of Taiwan. Adorned with intricate details, the restaurant offers a very homely ambience to have a nice meal with your closed ones. So, far it has been my favourite vegan restaurant in Taipei, with the falafel platter being my favorite go to food any day anytime. I love you folks 💗
Food quality is there but the selection is a hit or miss. Not every dish or choice will be equally tasty. I do respect their seasonal and organic ingredients they make for the food. (respect on their craft)I tried three different dishes on this specific day and only the coconut yogurt dish stood out. The yogurt needed some work, it wasn’t even cultured! Just coconut cream with fruit and “rawnola” but hey they tried. I still thought it worked, but maybe don’t title it yogurt if it’s not yogurt. The biggest suggestion I’d make is: the management needs improvement. I’ve been there a number of times before and the servers do not last for a long time there. There is one specific server (written in August 11, 2022with glasses and “chun-li” hair (street fighter 2 characterthat has the attitude of a spoiled “plant”. 😂The specific situation was I was ready to pay at the front desk and waited patiently for some time and this specific server rung up the delivery customer first. Apparently lines don’t exist here. The transitive verb definition of plant/plants is:1ato put or set in the ground for GROWTH.“To plant seeds”So based on the performance of a few select bad planted servers, they have some room for improvement and major GROWTH for better service.
The best vegan restaurant in Taipei with the best tasting vegan food. Im in love with their flavours and menu. A must recommended restaurant for vegetarians and vegan folks out there .
Me and my friend we ordered 3 dishes to share, each dish has quite a good amount of food. And it all taste amazing.I personally not a big fan of papaya party bowl, dont get me wrong, it still taste fantastic. But the taste of papaya was way too strong it basically covered everything in the bowl. It was such a weird feeling that Im eating an apple but it taste like papaya 😂 but hey, maybe thats how you like it. Overall, there is nothing you can complain about the restaurant because it is just that good. Definitely worth you to stop by.
The dish is delicious and refreshing. Also the staff is friendly to introduce the menu. Definitely will come back and try another food.
Very tasty food! While it’s a bit pricy, it’s understandable given the quality (organic, fair trade etc.and the thoughts they put into their dishes. The bliss ball tastes like protein brownie if you’ve tried one of those before😂 The portion is not large, so if you’re looking for somewhere filling maybe consider coming next time. Overall a good experience at Plants!
Very tasty food. Great use of spices that makes everything taste refreshing and interesting. Attentive service. Comfortable, clean and cozy environment. Price is quite reasonable if you consider all the cost and work they went through to make everything as sustainable as possible.
Very very very very tasty 🤍Heartwarming, soothing atmosphere.THE best vegan restaurant. 🎄❤️
You know that healthy clean aroma u get when u step into a Whole Foods store in LA or NYC, yah Plants brought me back and I loved every minute of it. The food (loved the falafel bowl and the lime cheesecaketo the impeccable friendly service, we felt so at home here. They have shelves of wholesome goods and refillable product which I totally appreciate. If you’re in Taipei and wanna tuck into some plant based goodness, I highly recommend a stop at this 10.0 dining spot in Da’an❤️❤️❤️
So so taste ... my favorite falafel didn’t meet expectations
Had wonderful experience in this vegan restaurant. Atmosphere was cozy, warm and peaceful. Chocolate smoothie bowls was very filling and tasty. Creamy mushroom toast and lentil falafel plate were awesome, fresh and healthy! Slightly expensive but its worth it. Definitely will visit again and again!
The best station of culinary delights in town!Smoothies/ smoothie bowls/ main dishes everything are not only nutritious but very delicious and healthy. Can feel body very comfortable, relax and energetic after the consumption of various kinds of gourmet dishes and drinks! Can find different things in the menu depends on the season or inspiration, very interesting surprises!Definitely will come back again and again!
Good selection and food is tasty, but I think its a bit too pricey for what it is.
A classic vegan restaurant in Taipei. They have a lot of great vegan options. Everything is fresh, delicious, and healthy. It’s not a cheap resturant but it’s good for special occasions.
Everything was very tasty and nicely presented. Its very hard to find tasty gluten-free bread in Taipei!
Food is good, although nothing related to Pain Perdu as they called.Sour dough slices with coconut milk yogurt have a good taste of sourness, granola is crunchy with a hint of cinnamon, quite balanced flavor. I’d hope more chocolate drizzle though.Serving is slow, waited 20 minutes for my dish; restaurant is noisy as it was crowded and somehow there was construction noise all the time, can barely hear waitress.
Overall not bad, but the food was underwhelming.Staff and ambiance 5 stars. The sharing starter the staff recommended was also delicious. Seasonal beetroot with vegan sour cream on some kind of bread cracker. The mains were a little disappointing. The creamy mushroom toast was lacking flavour and the vegan cream sauce was kinda unappealing. The falafel was served with delicious hummus but the falafel itself was somewhat bland and too dense in texture. The rosemary fries were too thick or under-fried or something and there was no hint of rosemary, only few sprigs for decoration. The detox tea was ok but mostly just tasted like slightly weird mint tea.For the price (not cheapI was hoping for something better overall in terms of the food.
Wonderful choice for vegan. Diverse plates serve joyful food experience. Falafel and hummus is a popular and delicious one. So I ordered the meal for my first visit. I like the strong flavors it had. Sauce and salad in the plate tell a good and complete meal. The price is a bit high but it’s worthy. All food is in vegan way. It’s happy to see strict vegan restaurant in the center of the city.Seats in the restaurant are usually full of people. Book a table would be a nice choice. Or you can visit the restaurant in the afternoon. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and peaceful. However, It would be annoying when too many customers. Transportation to the restaurant is okay, walking few minutes from the MRT. Recommend for vegan life.
always one of my fav to go for healthy vegan foodtotally support their core values
The waitresses are super friendly, and the food is all homemade and healthy, such a great restaurant! Also, best hummus I’ve had in Taiwan
Over priced and over rated, smoothie was good the plates we ordered were pretty meh
The food is vegan, creative and tasty and the interior is pleasant and clean. The service is a little surly and the prices rather high for the small portions (see photo). However, this didnt stop me visiting several times.
Cold salad bowl and tempeh bibimbap were refreshing and delicious! Great combination of texture and flavors. Friendly service. Some mosquitoes inside the restaurant.
My favorite vegan restaurant in Taipei! They have such a creative and tasty menu that accommodates my dietary restrictions. They are gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. They also don’t add any refined sugar. I love their exotic-flavored kombucha, energy bowls, and smoothies that you can add vegan protein to.
***a spa in your stomach***As a carnivore myself, taking up a wellness journey into the vegetarian territory happens every turn of a season. Vegan is an entire foreign concept to me as my brunch often associates milk, eggs, butter and well, all else derived from “Animals were HARMED in the making of...”Açaí bowl had a fine textural balance of slurp, drink, chewy and crunch together with screaming fruit flavors.Salad was tangy, crisp, fresh but too small of a portion.Falafel had a good starchy finish to the otherwise inadequate portions of the prior dishes.Carrot cake tasted gummy and lifeless but that’s of course in absence of ingredients that makes it spongy and velvety creamy.Coffee was their weakest link but not here for the Joe anyways. For now, I’ll def be incorporating more vegetable proportionally into my diet. Whilst vegan is not my goal, being flexitarian suits better for now
Plants! Healthy plant based food. Comfortable pleasant setting, we ordered the blueberry youghurt granola. It was delicious but very filling. Slightly expensive though. The turmeric flavored risotto was also delicious. We also ordered a smoothie which was great but just too much food.
Nice and comfy place to have vegan and gluten free food in Taiwan!Staff are friendly and the whole restaurant is very environmental friendliness oriented.Just a bit costly and it takes not a short while to wait for the meal.
Tried their Macrobiotic Tempeh Bibimbap and Penne Carbonara. They’re a bit on the pricier side (esp compared to other vegan restos in Taipeiso it’s a good thing their food’s delicious
I had a lovely meal, couldnt stop eating and even helped my friend to finish hers! Not sure if I did ask her if she needed my help but gave it anyway. I had the Bibimbap - delicious, flavoursome andhealthy.
First time eating here because they have kombucha on the menu. Ate the bibimbap and kale salad which hits the spot! Had caramel cake for dessert, tastes like raw ingredients which is a first for my tastebuds...overall I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend.
A very pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. Had some small issues with the sweet potato fries being a little undercooked. The tempeh was great and I was offered a free sweet for the trouble with the potato dish. Great to support an ethical restaurant that cares for the planet.
Delicious vegan food! Their falafal dish is flavorful, and their smoothies are delightfully refreshing! Not exactly cheap, but worth the visit.
Very, very good and healthy food. Also a nice selection of probiotic food. My highest recommendation. Kind and helpful staff. I am so happy that I found this place. The photo is of their sweet potato fries.
The most delicious plant based and eco conscious eatery this side of the of prime meridian. A variety of nutritious and healing foods clearly marked for those with food sensitivity or dietary restrictions.Service is top notch: attentive without hovering and entirely pleasant. My go to for a nourishing recharge.
Plants!!Near the Da’an district, trendy spot, very good food. It’s about $16 CAD ($12USDfor a bowl/plate, bit on the higher side for Taipei, but amazing. Incredible natural vegan food.Came here a bit by accident but very impressed!! Try the smoothie bowls 🔥.Creative Park is also close by, so coupling them works perfect.
(updates may 2018: came after starving from another restaurant and tried their daily dish: mung bean with pumpkin stew with spicy sauce. Great texture and flavours for 250NTD.Service and thoughtful, the girls working here sure try to make your stay comfortable.Food: wholesale, refined sugar free (hard to come by in TWother than the dairy/eggs/gluten free. Food is divided between energy bowls, salads, small dishes and main dishes.Ambience: refreshing pleasant Western chill decor
Plants is the hip vegan place Ive been looking for in Taipei! Everything is totally vegan. Good selection of food, drinks and dessert. Only thing is the cakes are dense and not a lot of flavor. But everything else was so delicious. They even sell reusable items, apple cider vinegar and spices. If you opt for take out and bring your own containers you get a discount as well which I think is great.
The soup and the salad I had were great, simple and delish. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, a comfortable place for only 1 person too. Will go back to try different dishes.
3 stars for this place who seams ok for lunch or breakfast but no point to go there for diner ...We ordered sample of everything.. half of the order canes on the table ... had to beg for the salad , they forgot crackers but they brought houmous, latte was not warm , mistake on the tea ... no big deal but all togheter, give you a super headache ..service noooo good and waitress don’t speak English at all , they all very super nice , they do what they can and it’s just food ... but a bit desapointed..Fresh food , nice plates , good quality , small portions and nothing wow ... I may try again .. but no rush
PLANT-BASED!!!! 🌱🌱🌱allergy friendly, gluten free, diary free, you name it they got you covered! LGBTQ friendly too, which is lovely :the place is very chill and welcoming!
This place is creative in their plant-based foods, and many components are made in-house. The decor is comfortable, and service was friendly.I had the Rawnola & mylk. (It wasn’t until halfway through it that I understood this was basically plant-based “cereal and milk”!This bowl had spiraling sprouted rawnola (tastes like rice crackers), both fresh and dehydrated pineapple, diced red dragonfruit. The mylk is made of nuts. Not bad, but not particularly satiating for $250.Overall, the dishes feel pricey for “what they are”, but I understand vegetarian food needn’t (or can’tbe cheaper.
One of the best Vega restaurant in Taipei. Average and affordable price. Food is well prepare and served. All the staffs are friends and well educated about the menu and food. Definitely recommend all the vegan lovers to give it a try and bring friends there !
Very delicious, nice place for having a decent breakfast like the Açai Bowls. Its a bit pricey and it took a while to prepare two of them. Im curious what happens if you enter as a group or if the store is busy. ;)
🌱 best raw cakes Ive ever had 😍🌱 very friendly staff🌱 nice atmosphere🌱 delicious food (vegan and raw)🌱 all gluten-free!I highly reccommend this place 💚
I love everything here. Having health issues that limits my diet, I can basically eat anything on their menu, especially the desserts since they’re gluten-free and vegan. My new favorite spot ❤️
Very nice food which looked and tasted very fresh and good quality. Homemade falafel and hummus was very nice and smooth. The sweet potato chips werent crispy but I think that was because they werent fried. Good healthy food but a bit pricey.
Overall: 3.5/5Friendliness: great! Antsy about reservations but reasonably soQuality: depends on what you order. The rawnola was wonderful in flavor. My friend got the crackers as a side and they were too hard. The fries and kale salad special were great.Cost: very expensive! At least 300 NT for a mealCleanliness: nice, good vibe and super fancy bathroomAtmosphere: great for meeting friends, but reserve if you canRecommend for: fancy vegan food
Delicious and nutritious vegan food! Everything is also gluten free! Great service - friendly staff! Beautiful environment! We left with happy tummies!!
