Planetarium Hamburg in Hamburg
Description
Privilege
The park is full of life.
Super!
3 min late to find the counter and tickets are lost.So we could walk home again.Zero understanding for tourist, no communication and no option to move tickets or get some kind of refund or just be let in.Maybe tell people to come 15 min before.
MoreOne of the best planetariums in Germany. Nice conceptual story telling and great knowledge for kids. Kids show for lights and sound with overall 3D view is must watch film. Also all digital screens and photos gives knowledge about universe and various objects.
MoreMagical 🤩
It was really a great experience
interesting architecture, nice view over the city. At about a 30 minutes bike ride from the city center.
MoreI went for the show called Moonlight Chill on Saturday evening . It was quite average for the cost of EUR 14. It was very disjointed and frankly a little bit bizzare. The sounds and visuals had no connection with the moon, and it wasnt informative in the least. Check out the trailers before you go for a show here. The place in itself is nice and the Stadtpark is gorgeous. Also be punctual, they dont allow latecomers in.
MoreLoved the show and the atmosphere
Very delicious cakes, a wide selection. Adequate sweetness, unlike those typical sugar bombs in most bakeries.
MoreThey feature different shows and topics everyday. Must visit. The shows are in German.
MoreReally offers some great and unique shows. The viewing room is big and wonderful and even has a stage for musical performance.I would advise to sit in the north section though, because most shows have the focus over the south side where the stage is located and if youre sitting on the west or east you may have to tult your head a bit, which can become uncomfortable after some time. This might not be a problem with your show though.
MoreGreat customer service and amazing facility.
Went there spontaneous for the Habitat Erde show. 2G was good, but I still would have liked to have been seated not directly behind someone, we then moved a seat over, because the recliner wasnt working on one of our seats.Sound and visuals were okay, but as for the show itself.... I must say, if you are interested in the topic, you learn nothing new. I was a little shocked about the level of simplicity. For 12€ I wouldve expected something more in-depth. The experience of watching it there made it a little more special than watching it in a cinema.Sadly the observation deck was closed that day, broken lights. The building from the outside is impressive, and the park surrounding it is very nice, so best to make a day of it, when you plan a trip there.
MoreBeautiful building inside city park Hamburg. The area is nicely decorated and kept clean. The water body infront adds more natural beauty to this architecture. It is a place you can go for a walk or cycling. Also may be just sit infront of it and admire the huge attire of the building. At night when it is all light up, gives a pretty view with the reflection on the water infront. For the people of Hamburg this could be a must seen for atleast once.
MoreGreat architecture and view over the Park and city of Hamburg
very nice 3d show, spectacular view from the top, children friendly environment, great experience
MoreVery big park in Hamburg. Not so many things to see aside from lake, spielplatz and green areas in the site. Its liked ordinary park but bigger. I hope they add mazed garden inside and more picnic tables and public comfort room.
MoreNice place. Excluding the stadtpark which is quite magnificent by itself, the planetarium, on its own, is a nice place. Been there for 2 shows. One about stars in Hamburg summer and one 3D show about Apollo and Moon. Both were spectacular. For the 3 D show , they supplied their own 3d glasses, which was not of great quality. Lot of people had to complain about it and get it exchanged, which delayed the show a bit.For Covid, they had to arrange seating with spaces / distancing.Mask is compulsory inside the planetarium, even during the show. For the 3D show it was a disaster because when you breath through the mask it blurs the vision on 3d glass. The view from top is decent. Nothing great in my opinion.I would love to visit again with my children for interesting shows.Would be great if they could have atleast weekly 1 show in English.
MoreVery interesting - lots of information on constellations and the planets (German only)Climb to the top (additional 14 stairsto get an overview of Hamburg(Covid-QR & mouth cover required)
MoreHorrible experience, the receptionist was very unfriendly and disrespectful and you shouldnt waste your time and money on this horrible area. Doesnt even deserve 1 star
MoreNot my first visit and wont be the last. Great shows and a nice view from the top platform.
MoreAmazing relaxing sunny day
Corona time close. But thats how it look from outside
Thank you very much for the live stream in the times of crisis - kids loved it! :missing so much watching your shiws in the wonderful Starstheater. Stay healthy and positive!
MoreVisited Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon show... The video basically ruined the whole show. The Pink Floyd music is of course great but if you just show falling money under the Money song, or clocks under the Time song - it doesn’t make any sense, for instance.I still also think that your Planetarium is equipped very very good with high quality devices. But finally during the show I’ve seen moving on me fractals, cubes, spirals of different colors and so on - is it really the level of the technology installed there? And from the other side is it really somehow related to Pink Floyd? I understand it’s psychedelic music and a great one, but showing spontaneous picture of different colors isn’t something psychedelic at all.I have read that the video may be even in kind of live mode, but I’d never believe that it was being created during the show - the performer knew what he was doing I believe. Finally the pictures reminded more those ones from windows 95 or 98 when the monitor was in “sleep” mode.Though the best moment was when the weird movie disappeared and only sky with stars was shown. This was really good moment especially with the music.Getting to the conclusion. I know that “Dark Side of the Moon” isn’t “the Wall”, but I guess you have seen the movie “the Wall” based on the album... there are not only filmed pictures there, there are also drawn parts, and it fits there. In addition they have clips on their songs and so on.Or at least just show the stars and space - which is super psychedelic thing itself if one would think about.
MoreUnique experience but the quality of the shows is average. You can find better documentaries with better video quality on YouTube.4k video stretched over the entire ceiling sadly makes it look worse than on a 1080p TV or monitor.Edit after reply: I agree, the shows are definitely a unique experience, just nothing Id be doing more than once every few years.
Moreterrible customer service! I really dont want to support this anymore, though I like the theatre.Unless you encounter a problem it is nice to go there. If so, youre lost.
MoreIt stand in a nice park. But the queens performance is a bit disappointing. The visualisation is impressive at first but a bit boring afterwards. The sound effects is not impressive too.
MorePlanetarium itself is awesome! Down side is that they don’t have english audioguide, or if they do, it’s only for half of the show (first half still German 😄)
Morethe light show was pretty damn awful. the building is gorgeous though
Show about Aurora Borealis was nice, but not awesome. One star less because two beamers of the beamer cluster flickered nervously during the whole show, which destroyed the mood of the calm and impressive phenomenon. Also the staff didnt seem too motivated.
MoreFantastic looking building, looks really nice in the dark with all of the lights.Went and saw a show here but the sound/animation quality weren’t the best but being my first planetarium show it was fantastic and I enjoyed myself!
MoreA very impressive building in a lovely park.
Loved the building and the beautiful surroundings. The reception and cafeteria staff spoke English which helped me and my G.C.S.E German immensely 😄😄. The show was really good although the English audio only kicked in a third of the way through but well worth a visit.
MoreThe place is nice and we went here to watch a Queen show. I was bit disappointed with the quality of the animations and the sound. However, the lasers were nice and the experience by itself is unique.
MoreAbsolutely a must go.
Beautiful place to see the galaxy and the stars for 11 euro but unfortunately the audio was in german:( ( no Englishbeside that all r prefect
MoreI got told that this was a huge planetarium filled with awe-inspiring things. What it really was was a water tower with a cool painting on the ceiling, broken technology, and some photographs on the wall. Highly disappointing. We didnt even bother going into a demonstration because the lady at the desk said its not worth it, and after what Ive seen throughout the main area I believed her. I will not be returning.
MoreWhat a bad quality of the movie. We watched Aurora in November 2018 and this was a very pixelated experience, just disappointing. After all this is why we came there in the first place. Are the projectors so bad or has the adaption for that screening done just really badly? The guy talking at the beginning was also rather annoying in his way doing to send one on a "journey", even though some parts were informative.
MoreThe planetarium is well designed and the picture quality is quite good.We were given headphones to translate while watching the film. The headphones didnt work, therefore we understood nothing. After telling the staff, she just shrugged her shoulders and said "there is nothing i can do". Wow - great customer service!
MoreGreat place, nice Musik shows, great location near the Stadtpark, you can book the tickets online as well, there is café/restaurant there.
MoreWe booked an English presentation. Unfortunately the English was on headphones, while the German was still playing on the normal speakers. Its a rather confusing set up. The presenter further more spend about 15 minutes showing an explaining things in German without translation. I dont give a bad grading, because for Germans its certainly awesome.
MoreInteresting experience, quality of images quite good, if you use English audio the real German Audio is disturbing... should cost less
MoreExcellent location technically advanced with Carl Zeiss projector and laser system. Unfortunately some contents / are just ridiculous, choose carefully
Morethe nice spot in Stadtpark! like the view even in cloudy days~
My son bought online tickets for us as a gift. It turned out we cant make it that specific day. He called and they didnt book the tickets for another day. SAD and BAD SERVICE!
MoreGreat Building with a beautiful view from the top! But I saw the cosmic wall show and was disappointed. The animations are cheap and have nothing to do with the awesome movie "the wall". The interpretation of the music is nailed to a point of view I dont share. The laser they use sometimes are nice, but everything is cut too hard, as you also get thrown into the show at the beginning and its suddenly over at the end. Bad Dramaturgy! Before the crowd even left the room, we got told, that we should leave because they want to finish their working day.
MoreIt is situated in a park in Hamburg - and it has a waterfall coming out of the building. But has not so many movies in English.
MoreRecommendable for a night out in Hamburg! Beware that the location is a little out of the center of the city in the middle of the park, though it is reachable on a bicycle.
