Planet Gyros in Helena

I got my meal in about two minutes when I got in around 4pm. I havent had a gryro in years and this place made it worth the wait.

I ordered the 6oz classic gyro and it was HUGE and amazing!Needed more tzatziki sauce for my personal taste 😉I will definitely be back

I have to rate this place 5 stars. They are tip top for yummy Greek lunch food on a budget. They ring true to their diverse menu by offering a wide variety of options for meat. The line never takes too long and the staff is always friendly. The restaurant itself in my opinion is a tad small but is usually very clean. They offer patio seating which is really nice for couples and friends who wang to just get away from the crowds. Their soups are dee-lishious!! Overall great place!

Amazing customer service from the guys. I was passing thru on my road trip and decided to stop. The food was great and the guy at the counter helped me choose my meal because I never tried a Gyros before. Id definitely go back, but I dont think Ill be traveling by there again, so I highly recommend them for future travellers and locals.

Cajun chicken gyro had good flavor and a good amount of chicken.

Clean, reasonably priced, very fresh and extremely tasty Mediterranean food. I had a delicious small (3 oz meat slicesShwarma called a "Zeus" and it was delicious! The small was $9 while the 6 oz bigger one was $12. Highly recommended!

I got the Alexander. It was really good. Not taziki sauce but the sauce was great. I highly recommend you try the gyros here.

Very good food. So many veggies out was actually difficult to pick up and eat.

Ordered a basic gyro and wasn’t disappointed! The boi was full of meat and everything else in there with a good price. Service was fast and the staff was friendly.

One word - delicious!First time stopping in. About noon and the place was semi busy. Thats a good sign to me. And the wait wasnt bad at all.Gyros are one of my favorite foods of all time. After perusing the menu a minute I went with the double meat (beefphilly and was very impressed. Loads of flavor and plenty of food.Will definitely be stopping by here next time Im in the area. Or maybe every time from now on. Its really that good!!

Huge portion. Fresh ingredients and amazing flavor. As good as any gyro Ive ever had and Ive had them in Spain from Moroccan run shops. I cant recommend this place enough.

Repeatedly (over multiple visitswatched the head cook (owner?Not wear gloves or only wear one glove. Touching and scratching his face, nose, mustache, etc and then touching food. Do not recommend.We just went through and are still in a pandemic, they should know better.

The food was super tasty with good portions at reasonable prices and on top of that the staff was very friendly. The dining area was very clean and welcoming. When i came in there was no line but one formed as i was eating and it just absolutely amazed me how fast they were able to serve everyone. 10/10 highly recommended

Friendly staff and short wait time. However, the three gyros I got were awful. Dry meat, stale tasting bread etc... tzaziki sauce was good though. The large gyro seemed to have the same amount of meat on it as the small, just more veggies piled onto it.When compared to places like Little Athens in Great Falls or No.1 Gyro in Missoula, Planet Gyros falls way below the mark. Id suggest perfecting the original gyro before trying to make a menu with 40 different types on it.

My husband and I love this place, the gyros are so big and tasty!!! Dennis the owner is so personable and friendly! John is amazing and knows just how to make our gyros perfect each time! I even left my debit card there the other day and am so appreciative that the staff reached out on Facebook to let me know I left it there and they even let me pick it up after hours, that was very nice of them! Highly recommend 😁 👍

We made a large order for about 20 people. Dennis, the owner was great to work with. This was by far the easiest group order I have ever done. I work at a local Helena business and we often order food for birthdays and our monthly Lunch and Learn. We will 100% be ordering from Planet Gyros again. I was able to call a week in advance to provide notice and obtain instruction on how to most efficiently submit our order. I was able to email our group order directly to Planet Gyros gmail. Dennis showed a smile and a sense of humor when one of our employees ordered off the wrong menu. Dennis and his team prepared our order on time and aside from a missing bag of chips, there were no issues with our order. He even provided a detail itemized receipt necessary for our company credit card records. His employees were kind and provided me with milk creates to carry all of the food, they hauled these to my car for me. The next day Dennis sent me a follow up email thanking us for the business. Planet Gyros is an outstanding local business who provides refreshingly great service in Helena. We will be ordering from them again.

First time here and I will be back 😁 Travel all over the country for work, and eat at alot of restaurants. Always looking for local places to try . This is a place I would like to come back to. Excellent food and people!

We went around noon and the place was quite lively. The person who took our order gave good suggestions for first-timers. I enjoyed my gyro thoroughly - the meat was properly cooked and the sauce was tasty as well. My friend is a vegetarian, he advised her on some of her options and was kind enough to remove meat from a gyro and replace it with vegetables. Parking wasnt an issue during this time period as well.

Came in from out of town, wanted to eat someplace local. We will be back any time were in town! Absolutely amazing food and quick!!

Service and food were excellent! Ordered the 6oz since 3oz sounded like I was going to be hungry and couldnt finish it. Will definitely be going back.. for the 3oz next time!

We stopped for lunch. We ordered the Papu, regular gyro, and clam chowder soup. All of it was amazing! Highly recommend this place!

I got the Mexican gyro (my first time ever having a gyroand it was incredible! The beef was amazingly tender, the flavors were great, and overall it was a very wonderful experience! The staff were also amazing and super helpful, and incredibly fast with their service. The owner of the establishment (I believe he was the owner, at leastwas very helpful and ready to explain to us the items on the menu. Ill definitely be coming by again!

Food was ok. Reasonably priced. Had fun soda selection like Huckelberry. Employees were amazing. Had different types of gyros such as philly steak and traditional gyros.

I have been a patron since the beginning and have never had a better gyro anywhere else. Im so glad the life of Planet Gyros has grown into the current space so healthy. It may outgrow it with the continuous great staff and menu items.

Ordered gyro combo for delivery with doordash. Wasnt given the opportunity to choose drink or chip, no big deal. Ordered and paid for extra meat, didnt happen. Showed up a wet mess, couldnt find meat at first, pita was wet and soggy and the tziki sauce was pasty. Literally, the worst gyro Ive ever had. Boo, #0.

Stopped in for the first time today. Service was excellent, food came up fast and tasty! I had the midas and a cup of cream of broccoli soup, hubby had the goose melt, and kiddo ate a pita melt. We all left full and happy! Also, they have big sky soda, always a bonus. We will be coming back for sure!

GREAT Grub! Love the Midas. But even better than the food is the team. great service, genuinely care about their customers, and very efficient. Dont worry if theres a long line.

Great Gyros, Best in Helena! Had to give four stars because I was running late and called in my order, when I arrived they were not busy and had not started my order making me even later. I will be back because they do have great Gyros!

Really nice staff. But terrible food!!! The worst gyros we’ve ever had. A ridiculous amount of sauce and very little tomatoes or lettuce. Ordered take out and when we opened our gyros 3 of the 5 orders were wrong. Super disappointing. Thankfully when I called to let them know the staff apologized and offered without request to refund the order.

The tortellini soup was good. And the gyros were so full of meat! My kids loved the food as well. I was also impressed with the work ethic of the 2 teenage boys that were working. It was slow when we came in and a half an hour before they closed. The teenagers stayed busy, working hard. But didnt pace around our table , waiting for us to leave. They had great customer service and were very patient with my demanding kids who kept changing their minds.

So its been a while since I have been in Montana but I love this place so much! There food gyros are amazing! Great flavor lots of options and so much food! The people that work here are awesome too! If your in Helena and looking for a place to eat look no further!

So I just stopped cause I was hungry. Unfortunately they were out of soup so I was disappointed and was gonna leave but decided to order the original Gyro. It was good and satisfied my hunger. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend eating there. It fit my standard--cheap and reliable...sure wish they had some soup...

Im pretty sure that this is the only place in Helena to get a Gyro. Lucky for me as someone who likes to eat a Gyro now and again, their Gyros are very, very good. Usually when I stop in, I think they could benefit from a larger space with more seating and I think a pretty substantial portion of their business comes from the Capitol Complex/State Govt buildings lunch crowd, but I think Id love to see them either have a second small location or be in a little bit larger one. Even working with the limited space they have, they always provide good service and somehow always find friendly help to provide that good service.

I had never tried Planet before and having seen their salads on TV I gave it a try. Couldnt have been a better experience! Schuyler was very patient in explaining things to me and was very good at explaining things in a clear, professional manner. He is a very pleasant person. The salad was fresh and very tasty. I especially like the fact that it contained Romaine lettuce and not iceberg (just water). It is now my "go to" place when Im hungry and want low calorie/carb food. Thanks Schuyler for your service and great food!!!

Always great customer service when we go in. The people are so friendly! Making for a very nice environment. The food is always delicious and you never have to wait too long. Besides, theyve got a big sky soda machine and you cant go wrong with huckleberry soda! :)

If you are hungry it is not the right place. Thee original Gyros was very good and the staff polite. However, the servings size was even for me not big enough. Also not comparable to European Gyros but still recommendable.

I have been to Planet Gyros a few handfuls of times, and each time has always been a pleasant experience.The staff is friendly, food is delicious (espially their soups!), they are fast, and its a perfect atmosphere.I cannot recommend them enough! ❤️

Not the most authentic gyros, but consistently fresh, hot, and delicious. The Midas with honey mustard is my favorite. Service is always friendly and fast. They are very busy at lunch due to being near the Capitol complex.

Great local place for lunch! Ordered the original chicken with no cucumber and it was plenty of food, even without chips. Added buffalo sauce for extra spice. They offer lots of combos of essentially the same ingredients, including salad and soup.No falafel because they dont have friers. I hope to see that in the future! I also want to try the soft serve, but was too full from the regular meal.Friendly staff and fast service. Definitely recommend!

Excellent gyros, fast friendly service. Good soups and baklava. They just moved into a bigger space so seating is improved and so is speed of service. They have punch cards to reward repeat customers, and accept phone orders.
