Plain Township Veteran's Park - Nature preserve in Canton, United States
Beautiful clean dog park with lots of room for dogs to run.
My grandchildren loved this playground. Its really wonderful. I wish we had one like it near where we live.
One of our favorite parks. The playground is clean and the splash pad is a great attraction.
Went to use the splash pad and the surface is very slippery. I feel like it should be resurfaced, or maybe try pressure washing it. May just be a build up from the water. . Kids were slipping a lot. Not just mine, all the kids and someone could get hurt. Even seriously. My youngest broke her femur from just slipping and had to have a plate and screws placed. Not here! Just sharing to emphasize that it can happen! But otherwise its a great place to go on a hot day!
We love this park. Its a nice place for myKids to cool off at the splash pad or play at the park.
Nice little park and inexpensive level two ev charger is a added bonus
Kids park. Dog park. Splash pad. All free. Great spot to bring the fam!
Fun for the kids .they have a splash pad and play ground
Great park for kids. Theres a little splash pad, playground, flush restrooms, walking trails, pavilion, drinking fountains.
This park is a nice, little spot to spend an afternoon with the kids. The splash pad is nice. Everything is set back off of the road and parking area, so you can let the kids run around.
We recently moved to the area. I wanted to take the kids somewhere to cool off on a hot summer day. I found this splash park for the kids. They had a lot of fun here. The playground is nice too.
Excellent park for the family. The park is very well maintained with a splash pad, swings, and slides. Free and open to the public.
Can I just say, thank you Plain Township! After 2 unsuccessful visits to Central Park in Green, weve ended up at Veterans Park. And we could not be more pleased. Just told my 4-year-old yesterday that well be coming to Veterans every time!
There isnβt much shade but there is a splash pad for the kids, a playground and pavilion for parties
Today was my kids first time here. Splash pad is nice to cool off, play area for kids, and clean restroom π
Not sure why hours say its open until 7pm but it turned off at 548. We got here at 5pm what a waste. No numbers to call either.
Great park! Plenty for the whole family to enjoy. From the kids play area, splash pad, frisbee golf, a dog park, long waking paths, a veterans memorial garden and so much more. Definitely worth going for a nice chill day with the fam
My toddler LOVES the splash pad at Veterans Park! We had never been before, and just stopped by to check out the park in general. As soon as she saw the splash pad she was smitten. We had to go home to change into a swimsuit and go back for her to play. Its a small pad, but a great size for a 2-5 year old (and older kids can still enjoy it too, as can grownups!). Perfect way to cool down on a hot day, and bonus that its not a long drive to get to.
Wonderful playground, water park, pond, dog park all beside a trail you can run walk ride bike etc. Clean bathroom
The womans bathroom was completely disgusting!! Kids unsupervised cursing at my kids saying they were gonna kill people. We left. Other then that it was a nice park.
This was my first time at this dog park and i loved it! Its huge! I like that there is 6 foot fencing all the way around, and that there is a seperate area for big dogs and small dogs. We will definitely become regulars!
The park is well maintained and the separation for small and large dogs is nice. Lately there has been some more aggressive dog behaviors with the owners failing to control or even reprimanded their dogs. There is a German Shepherd that has a tendency to snap at others and the owner just ignores it.
Really enjoyed the friendliness of everyone that comes here and its free yes honey
A nice little splash park to take younger kids to. My 2, 3, and 10 year old granddaughters loved it. There is also a nice playground area too.
To the man at the dog park today about 2:30pm thank you so much for your help I wish I had gotten your name. Our dog was playing fine till another one came near his new sister and protective mode kicked in something weβd never seen before, I was scared and overwhelmed and he was so reassuring and helpful letting me and other know he was protecting the baby and how I could handle it so sir thank you so very very much!!!
Our new favorite spot. Very nice grounds, great activities for the kids. Awesome area to walk and entertain the doggies too!
Big play ground for kids of all ages. Nice splash pad to cool off in. The pad is open from 11am til 7pm for those that are curious. Great walking paths as well.
Love this park cause not only does it have a splash pad and playground for the kids but they have dog park for small and big dogs! And the walking trail. Ny kids love this park.
Seems like a nice park, but we didnt really enjoy it too much overall. We only explored the playground area from a 2 year old perspective. There is a larger play structure with a few slides and climbing obstacles. Theres a smaller play structure with a couple slides for younger children. Kyle did not like the slides here at all for some reason. One slide he said was too hot. Its 75 and sunny in April. Theres a separate standing rock wall that no kids really took part of. Not much for interactive play compared to somewhere like Boettler Park. There is a mixture of soft rubberized track like ground and multch around the playground. Pretty crowded with youngins for a Tuesday afternoon. Not a very big park if it gets even more crowded. Only 4 big kid swings and 2 autistic/special needs swings. The splash pad was much smaller than I anticipated, it was not on obviously its only April. There are nice picnic tables under the pavilion and plenty of benches for seating around and throughout. Lots of grassy areas to sit or picnic. Being from the Akron/Springfield area, we probably wont make the trip to return given many other better park options. There appears to be a nice walking trail that we didnt get the chance to explore. The dog park was big and very nice looking, but nobody was in there? Saw a few dogs walking with owners around the trail. Theres also apparently a frisbee golf course which I will probably play sometime this year. The park is very clean and the general population of guests are nice casual parents attentive to their children and others.
This place has a great dog park. It has two areas sectioned off for the smaller and bigger dogs. They provide poop bags and water - when it is warm enough. My only complaint is that the dog park lately has been closed a lot. Currently, the dog park is closed for maintenance from March 1st to May 2021.The next closest dog park (freeis the one in Alliance directly behind Kohls. I also highly recommend that one! It is currently open.
I love the dog park and so does my Mini Labradoodle!! There are often 3-7 other dogs for him to socialized with. All the owners weve met have been great, friendly people!!
This is a great park. In the summer, it is one of the most popular parks in the area. We enjoy the playground and all the green space.
Honestly really great park. I only go for the dog part and the farmers market. The dog part is always great and theres a big crowd later in the day on the weekends. My English bulldog loves this place and I always have a good time too. The free water for the dogs is amazing. If your looking for a dog park stop by!!
We visit for the dog park. It is our favorite dog park around here. That being said, it is very popular and is usually busy. Keep a close eye on your pooch to keep them safe... theres also a drinking fountain for the pups!
We bring our 2 puppers here on a regular basis for the dog park. It is wonderfully fenced off into 2 sections for small and large breeds. Plenty of space to run, fresh water for the thirsty puppers. They have random areas with poop bags and disposals bins to make clean up easy. A few trees and every now and then you will find a tree filled randomly with many balls. Overall, very welcoming for all breeds.
This park is so peaceful and fun to go to. Every Wednesday, a farmers market comes and sells food, drinks, and many more and is just awesome be at. They also have a huge playground for kids and even a little splash park. The trails around the park are fun to ride your bike or walk on. 10/10 would always recommend this location to chill out and be at peace with nature.
This is an amazing everything park. There are walking trails, rentable bikes, a dog park, play ground equipment, and a splash pad. The play equipment and splash pad are also located right next to a large bathroom facility and pavilion with picnic tables. The dog park is separated into two sections based on dog size and has a few obstical pieces to use. Water fountains for both people and pets are located around the grounds. It is always clean and well cared for. We love taking our daughter here to play. The down sides are the trails can get a great deal of sun, they run next to rail road tracks and businesses, and cross some busy roads.
The dog park is super nice and the rules are laid out plain as day outside the doggy enclosure!!
What an awesome place!! Ive heard so many good things about this park that we finally went to check it out. The splash pad is fantastic!!! And its right across from the playground, so the kiddos can leave the water feature, run across to the playground, and when they get too hot, they can run back to the water.Park is very clean. The playground equipment is in great shape.
Went for the first time today to the dog park and its so spacious and pretty! My pooch had a blast!
Very nice place to bring your dog to burn off some energy. Lots of space for them to run, small dogs are separated from large dogs by weight, and there are a few benches for people to sit on. Its a decent walk from the parking lot to the actual dog park and the fenced in area is not wheelchair accessible, but the path back there is thankfully paved. My only real complaint is inconsiderate people not picking up after their dogs. Well definitely be coming back again though.
WOW! Is mostly what I have to say. This place has so many things! There are walking/biking trails, a dog park area, a pond, a picnic area, a playground, and a water playground! So many things to see and do!they even have bags for your dogs business.πππ
Amazing place and love that we are lucky enough to live nearby. The dog park has always been great! But now the splash pad and the jungle gym are amazing. Only reason it doesnt get a perfect score is because of the very rickety benches and total lack of shade near the kids areas
Very nice set up for kids and nice walking paths they also just added a splash pass for the kids to play in
we loved the new free splash pad they pout in this year!
A great park! Best dog park Ive ever been to with a large, wide open area for both small and big dogs. They also have a water fountain made just for dogs. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they close it down for far too long in the winter. It was into May before they opened it again. There were many nice days I would have taken our dogs if it had been open. But, like I said, great dog park that often has plenty of friends for your dogs to play with. Would highly recommend it for any dog owner!
Wonderful for taking long walks or having fun with your dog at the dog park. Theres plenty of wildlife to observe and a good park for children to play in. Pavilions are available for reservations. Park is clean, well-kept, and maintained. Benches available to sit on, ponds to see, even a bike rental program.
Great dog park. Has separate large and small dog sections with a fresh water dispenser on both sides. Love taking my 13 year old German Shepherd here.
This is a very nice park. It was very well kept and natural looking. The playground is great for my 2 year old to run from thing to thing safely. I would say the only downfall is that there are no baby swings, only the high back plastic chair swings. The trails look great too.
Great! The dog park and childrens park are both fantastic. Theres also a pavilion and a long walking trail, as well as a small pond for fishing. I bring my dog a couple times a week, we love it!Theres also a place to respectfully dispose of old U.S. flags. Its in the parking lot of the kids park.
