Place Guillaume II in Grevenmacher

Good Place to visit and its near to the city center.Currently some under construction work is also going there. So not much to see there.

There arent many places to visit in Luxembourg but this place and area around it is something you dont want to miss.It is a beautiful square with many restaurants around. There are many other places on walking distance. The palace is also about 5 mins from here. The paid parking exit is on this square. There is high street next to it which is decorated beautifully.

Place was temporarily closed. There was some construction going on and fences were around it. The statue can be seen from a distance.

I imagine it would be a lovely place with a great atmosphere if it wasnt currently a building site!

You cannot miss walking on this central place of the city.

Would look lovely in the summer sun. But is currently a large construction site,the cafés and bar are still open but its not overly nice to visit at the moment.

Pretty square with a nice statue to the former Grand Duke and King of the Netherlands. Lots of nice architecture as well as cafes shops and restaurants. Nice to pass through on a walk from the cathedral to the Grand Ducal Palace, as it’s in the center of town. Was under renovation when I went the second time more recently but this should be over and the place will be very attractive with a new facelift I’m sure…

A nice square filled with restaurants, cafés and a few hotels with bars/restaurants. You can have a rest at the benches around the square, and enjoy an ice cream. If you walk around the city centre, you will pass this square quite often.

Unfortunately, we came it was winter and the square was under construction.We were able to see the top of the Horseman statue and you can still see the fountain on the side but otherwise, at the moment, there is nothing to see here.

Its a nice place to hang out when the weather is nice and sometimes they put up make shift platforms for parks, shops, entertainment, etc.

Very nice place in the heart of the City Center of Luxembourg, the capital. However, the endless work to give it a face lift makes it a big construction site thus unpleasant place to walk through! No one knows why it takes so so long finish the work.

The main attraction seemed to be closed due to construction works, but restaurants were open.There are benches under the trees just in front of the restaurants. So if you dont want or cant afford the restaurants you can still open your own meals and enjoy the same view :))

A street market in Saturday morning is the one you should visit!

Saturday morning, street market. Some bars with open air tables. A lot of people not wearing a mask and not respecting safe distance.

If you are visiting Luxembourg definitely come around Christmas time, they go all out. Its gorgeous.

When we visited, the statue was barricaded for renovation so I was not really able to enjoy the whole place plus the bad weather. Imagining the area with the good weather plus no construction happening, this could be one of the best places to hang out and visit in the city.

Nice, unmissable hinge square in Lux City. Christmas market makes it both interesting and also super crowded in the Christmas season. You have to like the odour of Glühwein and other Christmas Essentials.

This area is often one of the focal point in Luxembourg when it’s comes to events in the city. Which is very often. Luxembourg is a fantastic place for everyone and great efforts are made to make it inclusive to all. This year I’ve come for the Christmas markets and as ever - it’s spectacular

A fox, lions and polar bears ... the willdlife of this place is really diverse. Visited the place in the evening - they just build up the christmas market - what a cute little town hall - fits to this nice country in the middle of europe. Looks like Jean Claude Junker will walk just arround the corner, on his evening walk. Will return in the day time. Nice place, nice country.

Beautiful place to visit. One of my favourite spot to visit every time as Im in Luxembourg. Must have to see. If someone like to get walk-sightseeing around the city it is a good point to see for trip around Luxembourg.

This place is a must visit for anyone visiting Luxembourg. This is right in the city center and within walking distance are the Grand Ducal Palace and a cathedral. This is the venue for a number of activities all through the year. For Christmas, this place is brilliantly lit up and looks very beautiful with the Christmas market. This is a very good shopping place also

A nice square to visit in Luxembourg. Its located near the Notre Dame in Luxembourg and is a short walk from the main road, so its easy to find. Part of the city hall faces the square and theres a small monument in one corner. Lots of things to see nearby.

A historic square surrounded by lot of restaurants and shops. It is one the happening place in old town. every festival there is something new will arranged here

A historic place, open space market on Sundays, a cosy place for food and drink all other mornings. Works are taking place in one of its corners, will be finished by summer 2019

I had the great privilege to spend the new year here, I’m very anti-new year, but was forced by my partner to see it in somewhere, this is where we chose. We spent our night at the Christmas market surrounded by hundreds of well behaved strangers, by an open fire.The new year was counted in, everyone was happy, then the party really started. I can think of nowhere better to see in a new year, I hope to return again one day.

Great spot to spend the new year with a big screen, DJ , ice skating, amazing Christmas markets, also nice to visit as a tourist. But the area is under construction since forever. Ill change it to five stars when they finish with that.

A very rainy Christmas market experience but it was magical too! There was an ice rink and we got lucky as one of the stalls had an enclosed room upstairs where we could get some drinks.

One if the central squares in Luxembourg city great for both seeing th architecture of the city and enjoying the many events taking place here. During summer time - the Jazz rallye and during winter - ice skating ring and the Christmas market.

I love every single place of this amazing city. This place is very nice, there are many restaurants and coffee shops. The first Sunday of each month there is a nice fair.

It is ok. Nothing here is extremely beautiful. There is a city hall but despite that nothing more. When I was there was also very rainy and there was lacking the mood to walk around. There is a little tourist shop where you can buy some Luxembourg souvenirs and take a map to do a game around the city. That we really liked, even if is thought for children it could be fun for adults too.

This square had been under rénovations for quite some time and even before that was just a square without many shops. Theres a decent vegetarian restaurant in one corner and a fancy seafood place.

Its nice to walk through the square. I have really nice regards when the world cup was played. There was a huge screen and the ambience was great. Nice market every weekend.

The statue in the plaza has been under construction for almost two years making good photos difficult. A few so-so restaurants on the edges. Go here for the monthly farmers market for a very Luxembourgish experience.
