Pizzerie La Torretta (grill | pizza | pasta | pub) - Pizza restaurant in Prague, Czechia
I’ve been here for lunch menu many times and have never been disappointed! Good portions, tasty food, nice place! All the food I’ve had there was amazing. Exactly what you’d expect for a satisfying mea
Hi everybody,We found out about this place on internet. It is close to the metro IP Pavlova.Inside the restaurant its looking beautiful, also you can see how the chef prepares your pizza.Outside they have the small garden to sit.We ordered beer called Staropramen 11 which was perfect with spicy pizza. On the picture you can see the pizzas Valasska and Tonale. The personnel is professional and caring: we got asked more times if we needed anything else and if it was everything alright.Pizza was done quickly.Thanks🙏.
Nice place to go for lunch, with reasonable prices and pleasant staff
We had a dinner there. My impressions as a foreigner - they had only Czech language menu and the waiter didnt speak English. However, that was the only drawback. Overall impression - the food was good. I tried Pleskavitza and Fish and chips. There was also a draught beer - Staropramen. The prices are reasonable - 42 crones for 500 ml Staropramen beer. 165 crones for Pleskavitza. We tried also a local destilated alcohol - Slivovice at 85 crones price. Overall if you are not looking something very special and cozy it is actually a nice place to have a dinner there.
Stopped by for a quick business lunch. Service was quick, the pork steak was great and the soup was fantastic.
Great atmosphere, plesent and welcoming staff, reasonable prices and great food. I would recommend
Bad service, quiet empty. I tried the tartare which was too salty and the spaguetti al arabiata... The worst I ever had... A place to avoid!
Really lovely food! So tasty and great value.
Enjoyed it! And the prices are very affordable. We had 1 pork knee, 1 vegetable salad, and 1 beer for 430 czk. 2 ladies were full :)
Great service for vegetarians as all the pizzas are prepared fresh. Nice atmosphere. Tasty food. 5 stars!
The waiters spoke English and the food was really nice and very reasonably priced. Would definitely go back again.
The food here is great, my girlfriend and I had the sausages in beer as a starter which are amazing and I had the pork knuckle for main which was way to much for me to eat while my partner and her daughter had the turkey with potatoes and cheeseburger respectively. Good place to have quality food and to be able to take the family
Tasty and delicious keep it e
One of the most delicious pizzas Ive ever tried.
Very accommodating staff, good variety of food and worth the money. Cozy place to eat-in. ☺️
Very good place to have a lunch for good price. Staff us friendly and speak English they also have an English daily menu. Good place to have Czech or Italian food
First they forgot my order. Then they served a burger that was not cooked properly(purple inside). I did not eat the burger. I complained. No discount - they billed me for both Burger and beer.
Just had my best meal in Prague up till now at this place. They are called a pizzeria, but you are definitely not disappointed when choosing a more traditional dish of the menu. The prices can be considered quite competitive in comparison to other restaurants in the vicinity.
Was looking for a pizza place to eat and found this restaurant, looked nice from outside. Whilst entering we were greeted by the chef. But there was nobody behind the bar so we did not know if there would be a waiter to seat us, so we proceeded to ask a staff burrowed in his phone. He told us to go ahead and sit anywhere, so we did. No waiter came. So I went in and told them that I’d like to order, and then an older man told us rudely to go sit and they would come. So we did. Everything from taking our orders to paying he was rude. Not a single smile once. I had a very unpleasant service and I would not recommend anybody to go here unless they are capable of smiling, how hard could that be? I guess that waiter hates tourists, and as a young couple in a distant and foreign country, it was indeed the worst experience in Prague. We ended up getting pressured to tip so we tipped 12%. Hope the younger waiter/chef that made our pizzas gets all of the tip, because he was the only nice staff we encountered.
People there are disgusting and the food was really bad. Worst experience I have had in Prague.
Not to my taste at all, flys all around which is a bit unhygienic and inconvenient when trying to relax and eat a nice meal. The pasta we had was soaked in oil so took away the flavour of the food. However, the food arrived quickly and the staff were very friendly upon arrival.Okay as a cheap meal but wouldnt eat it again as not to our taste.X
The Personal was friendly and it was one of best Pizzas ive ever eat :D
One of the worst steaks Ive had in a long time. Maybe they are fine as a pizza place but they should either fire their grill chef or remove the grill section from their menu.
Amazing food!! Excellent service! We came every day in our lunch break during our month in Prague. I strongly recommend it!
If you are looking for a nice place in the city center in which to eat traditional and international cuisine, this is where to go. We eat there dayly and they always try to accomodate us whith whatever needs or requests we have.
Czech menu says steak from fish and english beef steak. Fries were old, fish cold inside. Not good.
Good pizza. Reasonable price 150 czk.Friendly staff. Nice terrasse.
Pizza was good like most other pizza places in Prague, but the other dishes were pretty bad. Risotto was basically hard rice cooked in salt and stock that was still hard, pasta did not taste freshly made and was tasteless.Bad service too, took almost an hour to come. Probably because the restaurant was busy and are not equipped with better management.
This restaurant we visited last fall and food was really tasty. We really loking forward to cheeseburger and we was really disappointed, meat was disgusting and chese was terible. The service was friendly and thank god the food we didnt have to pay. For compensation we get drink for free. We give 3* and only because to thank people from service they were really kind. only for food we give only 1* because this quality burger we can buy in every fastfoods. We are really sad about it because we was really looking forward to visit this restaurant.
The food was okay but the tomato soup wasnt nice, because it was too sweet. Pasta and pizza were very good. 👍
First experience = excellent pasta with lots of meat and vegetables. Would recommend highly. Next day, chicken tandoori with vegetable couscous. There were NO vegetables in the couscous at all. Disappointed and told them so.
Lovely place to sit in with very good beer and English speaking staff but the food I had was just ok. Not bad but also not particularly amazing. Had a cheeseburger that was a bit dry and the bun was reall hard. Frech fries were really good though. The pizza here was also good actually.
Came here on new years eve for dinner. The prosciutto pizza, garlic soup and jack daniels ribs. All were great! Customer service a bit slow but its a busy timing. The cocktails are great too :-)Prices do not include 10% mandatory service charge that is not included in the receipt either.
Great restaurant, well lit and spacious, one of the best places to take your friends for lunch in Prague
TLdr: if youre going just for pizza, youre probably okay, but there are plenty better places around. If you are thinking of trying the more adventurous dishes, you should probably think again. The prices are quite good, and the wine by the glass is actually really quite good. The waiter was quite nice, not overtly friendly, but seemed honest and nice.Unfortunately thats where the good news stops. We started with the sausage in beer sauce which is apparently heated under the grill... It was a few peppers fried in a tin of diced tamatos with completely cold pork sausages in it. It really tasted like something you get out of a can in a supermarket, meat and all.Moving on we had a prosciutto pizza and 4 cheese gnocchi... The "prosciutto" was sandwich ham (like that cheap blue collar ham you get at the storebut otherwise the Pizza was OK.The 4 cheese gnocchi however, was quite nice with a creamy cheese sauce over some probably store bought gnocchi, but COMPLETELY ruined by the addition of chicken *cubes* with some kind of pizza spice on them..I believe that most of the food here is prepped and cooked well in advance and serves for multiple dishes. So Im guessing the chicken cubes in my gnocchi where the same cubes they toss over salads and out on pizza... Which would explain the strange spice that completely didnt fit with a creamy cheese dish.
Really lovely place, staff were very helpful and translated menu into English for us, great cocktails and brilliant stone baked pizza 😍
Well I have to say the food was very tasty and enjoyable , the first sight off the stone bake oven when you come in the door is perfect 😁 and the bar looks great, BUT!! the place lacks serious customer service . And as Ive spent my whole working life in customer service in this case I know what Im talking about. we walked in and the two older men working the floor , just looked at us , other places do make you wait to be seated so we assumed la torretta was no different . The bar man just looked at us and after a couple of minutes just pointed to the restaurant floor ( in other words , sit were you want then we sat down at a table , and waited for 10 minutes on a menu , in fact my partner have to grab the attention of the waiter ( I HATE THAT 😤😤.Then as the drinks came and food was pretty grand , but if we saw a waiter twice this was the height of it , not a smile when asking for the bill or how was the food , you enjoying your brake noting !! .I find I would let standards on food pass if customer service is top draw , Because your at front of house your in the line of fire and how you welcome people makes the huge difference . All in all lads work on your personal skills , and interact more with your customers not stood behind the bar chatting .😉
Warm, contemporary and nice setting a short walk away from Wenceslas Square and the National Muséum. Great food, good and vast variety of dishes on offer to cater for all needs. Very friendly, efficient and quick service. Very reasonable prices, highly recommended and will be back next time Im in the wonderful city of Prague
Excellent pizza, great prices, friendly staff in a relaxing environment. Definitely would return if we’re back in Prague!
Considerably cheap prices on beverages but the food was tasteles, the service on the teracce non-existent. Literally didnt see the waiter till I finished which is an issue because I had to eat my spaghetti bolognese with a SPOON (inconvenient as HELL)and they didnt provide me salt or anything. Inside its different but still... Not recommended to eat and I wouldnt really support it in any other way till they not improving mostly everything
Best pizza in Europe so far.100% recommend.
So yeah, where should I start. First of all I got my pizza after half our of waiting. Also I ordered two 2,5dl sodas and I did get one 2dl soda. The pizza looked like someone had just thrown everything in it and without even cutting the ham into smaller pieces. The older worker wasnt really customer friendly. After all the negative I should say that the place itself was nice, clean and there was free Wifi.
Waited 50min for pizza even though the server told it would take 10-15min. Pizza was ok-ish. Never got the water I ordered. Beer was ok.
Pretty good steak lunch experience. I dont recommend sitting outside, because the floor is unstable and wiggles every time someone walks by your table, making the meal not as peaceful and enjoyable.
Loved the ambience. Except for one older waiter who seemed irritated, the other two younger waiter and waitress who served us were really nice and very helpful. Great pasta and pizza! Ill be sure to come back here if I ever come back to Prague
Really nicely renovated restaurant in the heart of Prague. Reasonably priced and good quality products.
Decent place and regular food, the staff seemed a bit distracted though. It wont really disappoint, however there are friendlier places around.
Really nice Italian food at decent Czech prices, Im a regular customer as the office I work at is nearby. You can ask to take out your meal for 5 extra ck (the service also seems faster when youre taking out).I was already a customer before the recent refurbishing, but it really got much nicer and the service got faster since the re-opening. :)The downside is that their lunch menu, which is the best deal, is only available in Czech. They usually have one vegetarian option on the lunch menu, and several more expensive ones on the regular menu.
We strolled down the street as we saw this restaurant. We ordered beer and some food and prices, quality and service were good.
Best for value , service and a really nice eat by comparison with other restaurants in Prague We will go back
