Pizza Zizza - Pizza restaurant in Vatican City, Vatican City
Loved the pizza from here! It had the perfect crisp to it. My favorite one was the spicy salami pizza. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff was nice too.
Very basic pizza with industrial taste.People who made such good reviews don’t know what an authentic Italian pizza tastes like.Don’t go there!!
Pizza with cabbage was the worst I ever tried in my life. Though aperol was good
One of the best pizzas I had during my trip to Italy. Close to Vatican City, this place is a hidden gem with a wide variety of vegetarian pizzas and great craft beer.
I got the platter with 6 different flavors, all of them are nice. It was surprisingly filling as well being only 11 euros. The staffs are very friendly as well.
Plain and simple, it’s a tourist trap with prices that are double the norm. We ordered the variety plate, we got 6 slices, for 24 euro. Half were alright. Half were bad. Flies were everywhere. Ignore this place.
I recomend! The best one we tried in Rome!
Excellent sliced pizza, you can taste the freshness and high quality of the ingredients, the dough was cooked perfectly, not too crunchy and not undercooked👏🏼 Also, the staff are very warm and welcoming 😊
Had the pizza platter which come with 6 different flavours and every 1 is amazing! Especially loved the pesto eggplant pizza. Definitely our favourite pizza in our 7 days Italy trip. Service was great and really loved the energy and passion of the chef. Will definitely be back if we are in Rome.
A very small, seems very local restaurant. Nice beer! The good thing is you could have a mixed pizza with a few different types, if you would like to try more. The eggplant pizza is my favorite. And really friendly staff!
Tourist beware. This place was not good, I was expecting a little better since I checked the reviews on here. To begin, they don’t have a menu. We then asked the waiter to tell us what we could order, to which he responded by asking if we wanted to see what they had on display inside the restaurant. However, before we could decide he asked if we wanted to try THE SAMPLER, which would include an assortment of pizza slices. We agreed to try it. The tray came with 4 slices and 2 sandwiches. We figured out the sampler is pushed so the restaurant can get rid of old inventory. You could tell the pizza slices were old. The cheese wasn’t even melty and visually, it was not appetizing. They clearly REHEATED everything, but they failed since some of the slices were cold in the center. The sandwich bread was so tough, it scratched the roof of my mouth when I bit into it. AVOID THE SAMPLER AT ALL COSTS. I would suggest for you to order a whole pie instead to ensure freshness.
Mediocre tourist place with average pizza and overpriced beer. Friendly customer service though would not recommend as there are far more better place to get your pizza in Rome.
We came here as soon as we got off the train for our first time in Rome since it was nearby and we were hungry. As soon as we got there we were greeted with smiling faces and great attitude! The person who served us was very friendly and lovely. We had the pizza samples platter which was amazing as we got to try a bit of everything. My favourite was the Roman focaccia with chicken salad inside! Great spritzes also!Would definitely recommend for a great tasty lunch near the Vatican
Great pizza, excellent service.
Very friendly staff, the pizza was nice enough, very affordable as well. Good place to grab lunch!Recommendations: the margherita and the other pizza with fresh tomatoes.
Pizza Zizza was recommended to me and my partner by a friend, and it didn’t disappoint. Easily the best pizza we tried in Rome/Vatican and the staff were extremely friendly and also passionate about their cooking. We’d recommend this to anyone visiting the area, 5/5 stars.
Yes the pizzas 🍕 as good as the reviews say ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thanks to a good friend of mine recommending it, we would have walked past it without even noticing it. Such a tiny place for such great food.We had the mix plate for 2 and ended up having a 3rd round. 🤤Our server was great, very friendly had a great chat even exchanged phone numbers. We were there for lunch just before visited Vatican and ended up returning after for some cold refreshments 🍻😎
I had got the best pizza in my life here and as you can see my nickname, Im a big pizza lover. Absolutely fantastic taste and very friendly staff. Im looking forward for the next visit. Thanks a lot!
Very tasty pizza, friendly staff and great sight to St Peters Basilica!
Good option for quick bite with variety of pizza
Great variety platter of pizza. The Limoncello Spritz was just ok and theres not a lot of seating though.
Great pizza located just a couple of blocks from the Vatican. Their vegetable pizza was amaaazing. All 6 mini slices of pizza for around 10 eur, great value.
The best pizza I have ever had! we visited twice during our 5 days stay in Rome! We tried the pizza mix (one piece of 6 different pizzasand we were really amazed! The crust was just right, not too thin, not too fat. The ingredients on top were fresh and nicely cooked. It is also a good vegetarian choice as there are quite a few very tasty meatless options! Last but not least, the waiters had a big smiles and very good mood! They made my day after a long trip, as they were willing to help us and give us some tips for the city!
Great pizza! You pay 9.99 for 6 different pizza per person and it’s right on the spot.Best we had in roma🇮🇹💪🏼
Located right next to three other pizzerias this place is something special. Run by two brothers, the charm, hospitality and smiles alone are worth the visit. Beautiful saucy pizzas with options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, the magherita was our favourite. Not over cooked, rich red sauce and perfectly heated mozzarella on a crispy base. Highly recommend for anyone visiting at peters as it’s a stones throw away! Bravissimo!!
This pizza restaurant is right next to the Vatican. The server outside was super friendly and got us a table and even brought out multiple umbrellas to make sure we weren’t in the sun. He recommended a pizza where each person gets 6 slices of 6 different types of pizza. We tried it and I was amazed at how good it is. It was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had.
The best pizza in Vaticano. Very friendly service. Mix of pizza is top.
This is the best pizza in the entire world. you need to go here
Ottima! Weve been here twice, almost three years apart, and its been the same every time: truly exceptional pizza a taglio and friendly and welcoming service. Highly recommended. Ci vediamo presto, guys!
Great - both: pizza itself and the Staff! Strongly reccommend!
Amazing service and delicious pizza and desserts. The owner is a great character, very friendly and funny, absolutely brings the atmosphere to a level of authenticity we havent seen in Rome yet. Highly recommended and just a stone throw away from the Vatican. Its a great place to chill after a long day spent in queues.
Great pizza, great people and great atmosphere. Highly recommended
Best pizza and verry cheap food and drinks and the guy there its so welcoming and nice .
Great place with delicious pizza. We were a group of 7 on a busy day and they were able to accommodate us by putting tables together on the side of the restaurant. Pizza was delicious probably one of the best pizza I tried. Worth visiting. The staff was nice and welcoming.
Really positive and friendly staff! Nice street view. Regarding pizza - just perfect! We have tried the mix, and we have really enjoyed. Highly recommend. 👌Ohh by the way Aperol Spritz you should try too🤤 Greetings from LT🇱🇹
Best pizza in Rome and a very friendly service! I recommend the per person selection. Theres a great variety and all very delicious.
Found this cute restaurant near to the Vatican and i went in.I ordered a simply pizza with sausages and mushrooms, but the combination was so flawless that it melted in my mouth.ingredients fresh , and most important thing was the corner.SO TALL AND CRUNCHY!the staff was so kind and helped me to choose the best pizza for me.i’ll come back!FOR SURE ONE OF THE BEST!RECOMMENDED!!
Great pizza and got to try all the option!Super nice server & loved the recommendation.
Probably the most delicious pizza in Rome! Come and taste it with their homemade sangria or craft bear. You wont get disappointed. And about the prices. Its not the cheapest place, but the price is worth for taste and the persons who are working there.
Don’t believe the hype, pizza was OK at best. Went at dinner time on a Monday night, had the variety as the reviews and staff suggested (to literally everyone). Pizza was sitting there a while, with the exception of margherita pizza which was average. Most of the pizza had a river of grease after being reheated, overall I wish I had not come here. The staff is what made this a 3 star review, as the food was 2 (below average). The tiny seating area made the experience quite uncomfortable. Overall bland flavored reheated pizza, with excellent service in a tiny outdoor seating area.
This place is legitimately one of the best pizza I’ve ever had.It is tiny but the guys here are very friendly, they did an amazing job recommending the different options. For the three of us, we had the sample platter and it was great.Just tell them what you like and they will recommend the best options. We had about 12 slices with all different toppings. The price is cheap enough too.
Dont miss this place. The guys are really friendly. Try the selection they recommend, you will get to eat a variety of pizzas. After the meal dont say no to the tiramisu with strawberries, or you might miss something great :-)
Amazing place with great food and service. The owner of the place is there making sure youre happy and everything is nothing short of perfection. Our server was very friendly, made right recommendations and spent time talking to us and getting to know us better. Of course, it was not peak time so he had the time to do so. There is no Menu, you just tell your server what you like and what dont and they create a great platter office different pizza slices. Strongly recommended and is very close to the Vatican.
Very friendly, gave a fried mozzarella and potato appetizer. We ordered the sampler and we all liked a variety of the pizzas. My personal favorite was the eggplant pesto. For 4 people it was about 9 euro a person which is very affordable.
Good pizza if you like to try different kind of pizzas and have no food restrictions. It’s a great place to try different kinds all at once. It’s a bit pricey but still nothing exaggerated. Everything was fresh and tasty!
Best pizza in town !Cheap prize, delicious and good service..each person only about 9€ (sample menu)Aperil spritz is authentic and typical of italy drink.Recommended just only 5-8 minutes walk from st pieter’s basilica.
Great service and friendly staff! The pizzas were so good! They cut up a sampler for us so we could try many different kinds of pizzas. Amazing!
It’s a shame that I could not give you more than five stars -!I and my mate went here every day in a row for four days our staying in Rome.Pizza is very good, various choice of selection including vegetarian as well!I recommend trying 6 pieces of pizza’s mix platter! 1L Peroni red is LIT and they made their desserts by themselves. Tiramisu and pannacotta are great.
This pizza place is the whole reason, why we chose to come back to Rome again this year. When you go, just ask for a sampler and they will make you up a selection of everything they have. Very reasonible prices and the guys are very nice and make you feel very welcome. I can highly recommend this place and will continue to come back to Pizza Zizza, whenever I can.
The staff was really friendly. We waited 15 mins for a table and our waiter (possibly ownergave us a complimentary tasty appetizer just for waiting. We tried the sampler tray (12 slices of pizza for 17.20Euroand almost every slice was very delicious with a crispy crust! My ultimate fave was the pesto! Least fave was the one with anchovies - it was my first time trying it on a pizza and you could taste the entire sea, guess its not my cup of tea. We also got complimentary biscotti at the end.
