Chain pizzeria where chefs in striped t-shirts toss handmade pizzas in a relaxed space.
Your standard Pizza Express. Good food and good service. Never go without a voucher of some kind, as it’s a little pricey for pizza and pasta.
Food is always delicious. Wasnt served very quickly and the staff seemed to keep dropping things. A few of the tables were dirty from previous customers. When food arrived, we were told that they didnt have sauces I.e. ketchup, mayo. We used 2 deals and one of the staff members was very helpful in telling us how to use it and what we can buy with deal.
Good food and great service, although quite expensive without a discount code.
My Leggra 3 cheese pizza was amazing. Lots of flavour. Lovely dressing on the salad and with a side of halloumi bites...it was lush. Sadly we were let down by the dessert. Their new dessert dough balls were more like dough pancakes with very little effort put in. But generally it was a lovely meal with polite staff. Nice clean restaurant.
Really enjoyed the lunch menu. Staff were really helpful and friendly
A lovely evening, really nice pizzas, lots of choice, fabulous friendly staff.
Very tasty food and good service aside from still serving rocket on the risotto having asked for no rocket
Nice pizza great service beer expensive
Always given a cheerful happily warm welcome and the cooked-to-order food is worth waiting for!
Rude staff, who didnt seem to care less if you enjoyed your time or not. No clean tables on arrival, no one to see you out at the end of meal. Not impressed.
Delicious pizza, however starter was average. Service was really slow and is very expensive for what it is.
Great food and the staff are a joy.
Great atmosphere and lovely fresh food
Staff are grate always helpful. Kids love the atmosphere very family friendly.
Staff very friendly and helpful.Food excellent.place clean and welcoming.
The food and drinks here are AMAZING!! :Will definitely be going back soon. The staff were very welcoming and friendly :)
Really big portions and lovely food. Just a bit pricey for a quick lunch.
Great selection of vegan pizzas and they were quite experimental with the flavours too.
Very expensive for what we had, my starter was very drab, the tomatoes from the buffalo mozzarella salad were tasteless supermarket cheap baby plum tomatoes, although my partner enjoyed his calamari, my partner ordered a calabrese pizza there was no spicy/heat rating to go on, it proved too hot for him, although my pizza was very nice...we swapped, both of our sticky toffee puddings were burnt on the bottom, but the ice cream was nice. At least we now know to avoid!
My pizza was awesome! The staff service was amazing!I love this place! My family really enjoyed our meal.
Excellent gluten free pizza and good service.
Pasta very dry and chewy for adult and child, not enough sauce. Depends which chef is working as to how much sauce is on pasta. ( young looking boys not usually great They replaced childs pasta but by the time I mine would come everyone else was nearly finished so I cancelled mine. The lady in charge was lovely and refunded me for my food and couldnt be more helpful, couldnt fault her as she cooked mine last time and it was lovely and now dealt with this problem promptly and considerately.
Brilliant service and amazing food, am excellent location for a meal out.
The food we had during our visit was ok, however my pizza was severed cold and the salad was half dead, looked like curled up bits of green slim in the bottom of the bowl. One thing that I couldnt bring myself to is going to a pizza express without vouchers as without them it is extremely over priced!! X1 Dough balls, X3 pizzas and X5 drinks. Would have cost £80!! Defiantly not worth that.
Review writen on behalf of my husband. My 8 years old son loves it. Nice kids package - menu and drawing pack. Kids meal really good value.Nice and attentive staff. Good food. Bit expensive so best with a voucher or menu deal.
Good food but absolutely mad busy
Always friendly efficient service and great food at a fair price.
Nice tasting pizzas though there were patches over most for the pizza surfaces as there was not enough cheese, the waitress said s how much we measure out per Pizza. No forces discount yet students get money off. Very over priced and only went as we converted some tesco club vouchers.Get a takeaway or travel to Pizza hut
Ordered two pasta dishes, lasagne was mainly a reheated bowl of cheese and my Bolognese was tiny, v.dissapointed, both £12 each & vouchers exclude most decent meals
Really good evening. Gluten free Barbacoa was good, shame its so small, still peckish afterwards. Loved the strawberry Sicilian lemonade drink
Lovely food and staff. Made a bit special for the birthday girl without asking.
The usual pizza and pasta. Two staff on duty. Experienced and efficient. Dealt well with all requirements. The only issue - the price of any alcoholic drinks.
Weve recently moved into the area (from the NWand were blitzing a variety of eateries, pubs and cafes in the area (*a nice way to get to know the area). We visited Pizza Express in Northallerton last weekend. The food was, as is typical with Pizza Express, fantastic! wine wonderful and service superb (the manager is very friendly and was great with our kids). The price spot on. All in all one of the best Pizza Express restaurants weve visited (York Pizza Express was also lovely). Thanks guys and we will be back. Lucy.
The food was yummy, the place was busy from when we went in at 6pm and still people coming in when we left, staff were all brilliant
We called ahead to order our food as we were in a rush, they were accommodating and food was great.
We always enjoy eating here. It was my birthday and Pizza Express kindly gave me a bottle of wine to celebrate. Thank you Pizza Express
Not bad food but very expensive. Even deserts....£6 each...WOW...
Pizza great but almost hour wait to get food
Food is good, service is changeable, but it is often very cold so wrap up warm.
We were left waiting at the door for 15 minutes waiting to get acknowledged and seated for our seating reservation. The staff looked at us and walked away blanking us.A table for 7 was empty and left dirty, with half eaten cake and leftover food all over table for our entire time we were there. This wasnt a pleasant to look at whilst we ate our pizza.Apart from only having ice cream on the menu for dessert, the food was on par with pizza express standards. My main problem is with how this Northallerton pizza express is managed. The restaurant was not busy, less than half full but the staff struggled to cope under the pressure.Overall we were far from impressed with our meal and I wouldnt recommend this pizza express to anyone. It would be worth travelling a little further to a better pizza express restaurant in Darlington or Thirsk.
Good food, friendly service and overall nice atmosphere
Food was up to usual standards for the chain and I enjoyed it.However, the service was poor. Very long wait for drinks and food. I had to wait for long periods of time and ask for everything as they were not very proactive and didnt check if o needed anything. There were 3 waiting on staff for a relatively small and not very busy restaurant; so no excuses as far as I could tell.
Very nice food BUT service was very very slow. Staff were friendly and kind but we had two children and the wait was just too long
Not the biggest pizza Ive had and lacking in toppings . But good pizza base and good customer service ! Shame they dont do fries
Food was great but staff kept dissappearing for cigarette breaks so service wasnt that quick.
Was dissapointed with the change of menu, they have reduced the choices and now dont make calzone! Not the speediest of places, seemed to wait ages to place our order and had a bit of a wait. When it arrived, it was very nice and hot so OK.
Tables are too cramped together. Blonde waitress didnt show a smile the entire time and was quite rude honestly. Was also obviously counting her tips and checking her phone in front of customers. Food was quite prompt but had to wait 20 minutes to get service to order dessert and then a further 10 just to pay the bill. Really unimpressed, did not feel welcome at all.
Best proper Italian pizza, NOT the American type crap that brits love that much.
Standard pizza express experience, thin authentic Italian pizza. Slightly over priced but descent quality every time.
Should remove the word Express from the name. Waited 45 minutes from ordering for food arriving at the table. Wasnt worth the wait but was "OK" when it did arrive, in no rush to go back.
