Looks were deceiving. We are out of town and Googled a random place. The food was excellent as well as the service. Great prices! Atmosphere was clean and quiet!

The breakfast was very good really enjoyed it .Ill go back and eat again it was good.

Over easy eggs were perfect, coffee was good and the waitress was a doll! Fast too!!!

Grits...eggs....biscuits......waffles.....everything was great. Coffee hot...plus a smoked sausage that was outta this world!!!!! Definitely a must!!!

Nostalgic reasons brought me here this morning. It did not leave me disappointed at all. I recommend anyone any age, any preferences to try this restaurant, and the service is above and beyond, just bring a smile.And of course your wallet. LoL

I used to enjoy PG bc of their home cooked meal!! Lately the food and service has gone down. The food isnt cooked well and the waitress has no knowledge or understanding.

Food and service was good. Prices very reasonable.

Customer service is definitely not first priority to this place. Solving an issue for a paying customer is irrelevant.

Delicious breakfast. Steak and eggs great. Way friendly folks. Great place to stop for breakfast after casino.

The food is average. Not too good to recommend. However, their hospitality is really good, thats why it gets 4 stars from me.

I was greeted immediately upon entering th restaurant and seated. The waitress was courteous, respectful bringing my order in a timely fashion as her section was quite busy. The whole experience was flawless.

We were promptly greeted by a friendly waitress. When we sat the lady that would be our waitress was not pleasant! The food came out cold and under cooked so we had them remove what we didn’t want. When we were paying I asked our waitress if she was having a good day and was told “no”, and my reply was sorry. She informed me that it was her last day and just didn’t care!

We had wonderful service here. A huge po boy here could feed 2 at a great price. Wonderful breakfast. Each time we come here it does not disappoint!

Like walking into an old small town Cafe, service was fast and efficient, waitress was very Polite and attentive. The food was excellent, good flavor and quality. Good value and prices. Definite 5 Forks here.

When placing our order, it was a turn off. Waitress said the owner absolutely would not accommodate switching out the bacon for a slice of bread. Cold, undercooked, flavorless, eggs, cold biscuits and gravy, cold sausage and pancakes:-( Never again. What a waste of money. The waitress was not friendly, and didnt seem to care. This is disappointing.

Food was cold, nothing was seasoned, waitress wasnt very friendly, she never said her name, ended up leaving hungry and felt sick from what I did eat.

Was open early before I had to head out to the port which was good as many other places were closed. The staff were friendly, the coffee kept flowing and the food decent.There were a bunch of locals in there before setting off to work, so thats always a good measurement of a place if they have consistent locals!

We visited and dined-in Pit Grill during the weekend. Dennys had an extremely long wait time and Golden Corral was closed due to electrical issues.We had a group of 10. The breakfast wait time was about 10mins. The order wait time was satisfactory. The staff was courteous. The atmosphere was pleasant. Menu prices were very reasonable. Our hostess, Jeorgie, was great and helpful. The food was good. However, the pancakes were flat & tough vs. light & fluffy ~ they seemed to be missing "baking powder". I would give the restaurant another visit.

This was the first restaurant I tried in Lake Charles. At first glance of the building, I thought it was shut down because there’s damage to the name on the building and the parking lot was completely empty on a Saturday at 6 PM. The inside was very clean though and smelled like fresh paint. The lady up front wasn’t very hospitable. I had the Bubba Poboy and chicken & sausage gumbo. The fries were very bland (it’s impressive to have bad fries, that should be the easiest item to fix), the bubba poboy is a BBQ sandwich. The only good thing I can stay is it’s a big portion size but the flavor just wasn’t there. Same for the gumbo, it was a decent size but it’s lacking flavor. Overall, I would recommend going somewhere else or trying something different on the menu.

The service was good and respectable, took a little long for the food, but overall nice service. However the French Toast was PHENOMENAL!!! Exceptional French toast! Its totally worth stopping by just for some.

PITT GRILL restaurant is very clean (like new interior). The waitress at the time of my visit was very attentive, polite and professional. As I placed my to-go order, we had small talk about the menu and the fact that my grandmother (deceasedand mother retired as PITT GRILL cooks (M. Zenon & L. Zenon). I inquired about my familys favorite item (PITT GRILL CAJUN FRIESand gladly described them (round sliced potatos, battered, fried and CAJUN seasoned with a side of Ranch Dressing)...sadly they are no longer available. My wait time was possibly ten minutes. The order was neatly bagged and handed to me with a warm "THANK YOU & ENJOY YOUR MEAL!"

The food was mediocre. The one waitress was spread extremely thin. Of course, she was busy talking on her phone the whole time. They dumped the tea before the customers were through with their meals. One couple got tired of waiting to be waited on and walked out. I’ll be surprised if they stay open another 6 months.Unless their owner keeps dumping money into it for prides sake.

Cant tell you anything about how the food is, but customer service is absolutely terrible. We went in for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning. We where quickly greeted and seated at a table. But that was all we got. We sat at our table for 15 minutes and watched 2 waitresses go to tables on each side of us and we where never acknowledged. Clearly customer service is not a priority for this establishment.

My family and I went to this restaurant for breakfast on our way home. The food was mediocre at best, BUT the treatment that we received from the staff was absolutely deplorable!!!! My family is mixed race and from the time that we walked in, we got all kinds of sideways looks not only from the customers, BUT also from the restaurant staff. As a person that was visiting the state for her birthday, I was hoping that we would be able to go home with great memories..... this is a memorable experience, but not in a good way!!! We will NEVER come back!!!!

My sweet friend took me out to eat and I really appreciate her for taking me there . my first time theres Its was appreciate and greatful what she had done for me . The breakfast 🍳 and grits and eggsFrench toast brown bread 🍞 jelly any kindEverything was 😋Delicious 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 off the chain. We will be back really soon. They didnt not serve no cold food . It was hot 🔥🔥 and good to eat all that good food

A lots changed. food wasnt to bad had the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and pancakes.. my eggs were done perfect the chicken fried steak was out of a box the hashbrowns perfect the pancakes are kind of small but taste good.

The service was good, the food was average, and sanitary was okay (not the best or good). Overall, a meh experience I wouldn’t recommend though.

I ordered a shrimp and a philly po boy. With fries and onion rings. They gave me 3 French friend and left out the other meal completely. When I called to complain they said there was nothing they can do.

Got a coffee and water, then ordered a omelet. Waited a hour and a half for my food and never got my coffee or water refilled and never got my food. After I watched 3 tables get there food before me that came in after me I left. The menu had soda dripping off of it as well. Horrible experience and waste of time. Your money would be better spent at Waffle House in all honesty.

Pit grill is usually a pretty good place, but today for my table was terrible. one person requested hot chocolate but recieved coffee and chocolate milk. Those of us who actually ordered coffee recieved slightly warm coffee.our food came out slightly warm, one persons grits wouldnt even melt butter and when the plate was sent back the waitress offered to microwave it. My wife and i asked for grits and were finished eating before they were brought out. She refilled coffee but never refilled tea. The only reason I give 3 stars is because i know Pit Grill is usually better than this.

went there for weekday lunch. large menu selection front and back. sweet tea good and rue to gumbo good. a lot of meat although chunky chicken breast meat in it was tough. server had a personality. food okay. i’m surprised only a few patrons there during lunch time. descent clean place to eat.went back for lunch second day in a row. limited indoor local dining due to hurricanes and covid. breakfast meal was descent. pancakes fluffy but cold. today the place was full of customers.consistently good food and service. i recommend. went there three days in a row.

No employees were wearing protective masks. It wasnt busy when I visited and yet there were many dirty tables. The coffee was disgusting and the service was terrible. Also, my food arrived cold (2 eggs over easy, grits, corned beefso I returned it. My food was microwaved causing my yolks to be hard, I wasnt surprised they would nuke my plate but the fact that they flipped my eggs over to give the illusion of freshly cooked eggs annoyed me. My fiance wouldnt even let me tip due to the substandard service.

Food was great! My son ordered the breakfast poboy and I ordered 2sunny side up eggs with hash browns and bacon. It was served quickly and hot! Our waitress was very nice. Always asking if we needed anything else and giving us refills. I would recommend. Tables are 6 feet apart. Limited number inside

Upon walking in I noticed a sign that stated wait to be seated. No one greeted me until someone behind the cash register asked if I needed anything. Once seated I ordered chicken and waffles, which means Chicken tenders and waffles. After getting my food no one checked on me for about 20 minutes. Picture below is a real depiction of what chicken and waffles are supposed to look like. Not even close to the chicken and tenders served at the location.

Only thing open on Christmas other than dennys, glad we decided to stop here, service was excellent, food was great. Will definitely stop again when in town

Food was DELICIOUS!!!! We both got burgers, one with fries and one with onion rings. All was amazing! The waitress was friendly and so great. For 2 people to eat a full meal plus drinks it was right at $20. So I highly recommend this if youre looking for a day date place :)

I went here for breakfast and was impressed by the selection. Friendly staff and not a long wait. Good place for a casual dining experience.

My family and I ordered their breakfast and was very satisfied with the service and food. The pecan waffles I ordered were fluffy and the flavor was really good. I didnt give it 5 stars due to the hostess not being able to give my me an estimate of wait time. The wait ended up being 10-15 minutes on a Sunday around 10am. Also, I ordered 1 over easy egg and it was a little under cooked. I will return for the service and food other then that.

We went half the restraunt was closed off, only 1 waitress 1 cook amd 1 dishwasher. The place filled up and the rocked it! Food came out right and good. Emmiline was very professional and handled it.

Coffee cane out fast, hot and fresh. Then it was refilled promptly. Good experience, hot biscuits comin out of the oven now. Thanks yall for a good meal.
