My family comes to jacksonville on the quarterly basis, and this spot represents and honors the delightfulness of the Peruvian cuisine. We had: Ceviche, Milanesa de Pollo and Lomo Saltado ( A lo pobre). All three dishes were executed flawlessly. Vanessa Our server was legitimate. We will certainly continue visiting this great restaurant.

Authentic Peruvian food for sure. They have pictures of the Nazca lines up on the walls which is pretty cool. Choclo de queso which is Peruvian corn with fresh fata cheese was delicious! Portions were huge, and Chicha morada which is a purple corn drink was a hit. Maduro plantains and sweet potatoes were fantastic. Seafood soup is spicy for sure. Will make you sweat, which is good of you like spicy :)

This is the worst Peruvian food restaurant in the area. Not only they have bad customer service, they also charge you an additional 5% for using a credit card. Better go to El Rinconcito de Lima o Victorias Taste of Peru. It is much better service, better food and no additional charge just for using a credit card.

I am not a Peruvian, but l love Peruvian food. This was one of the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve ever been. I had “aji de gallina” Peruvian Creme Chicken “ and had some Peruvian Cola- Inka cola. loved it… l will definitely go back to try their Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. Also they are nice and clean. Only thing is l think they need to fix their ceiling inside. I am allergic to humidity. so l sit outside.

As a Peruvian I give this place a 2 from a scale of 1-10. Sad to say the food was not good at all and overpriced to boot , I had the Lomo Saltado, totally tasteless.

The service was excellent but the food was the worst Peruvian food I ever eaten. I paid 56.00 for Papa ala huancaina, Lomo saltado and tallarin cerde with steak plus 2 inka cola. We ended up not eating both dishes and told the waitress how dissatisfied we were about the taste.. She told the owner and he responded that it is the way food is made at his restaurant so be. Kitchen staff and owner need to improve recipes and not give Peruvian a bad reputation. Thats not how Peruvian food should taste. Im Peruvian and tried Peruvian food in many places in the US and Perú. The owner should go to NY, NJ and learn from them.. -1 Star 🌟

Best Peruvian place in Jacksonville. Good prices, giant dishes - both eating in or Togo. The hot sauce is amazing, never had a bad meal here.

The service from our waitress was good overall but the food was really rough. We have been numerous times with the Peruvian association so we knew the food. My wife is also from Peru and she was very disappointed. Nothing seemed fresh and my god stay away from any seafood including with rice. We refused to eat the Chifa since it smelt like week old seafood, no pun intended. We likely will never go back, the owner who my wife spoke to would not even consider adjusting the bill.

I love this place. They serve homemade food. I won’t recommend ceviche here just because I feel that is not the chef’s specialty but everything else yes.

I cant speak for the authenticity of Peruvian food. But what we ordered is very good!Ordered Chaufa with beef. It was good. But really its fried rice with egg and green onion with beef strips. Had good flavor but eh. I wouldnt order it againNext we had the Lomo Saltado. This was amazing!! It had the same beef strips as their last and probably any other dish. But the gravy/juice on the bottom is excellent!!!Ask for more gravy/juice when you order this.Lastly we got some fried plantains. They were great and not the usual ones you see with a sugar coating. Would recommend them

I am so sorry for real Peruvians, because this Peruvian wannabe owner thinks he knows better…MANUEL…You don’t know better, and it’s a shame. All this years with this great spot, completely waisted…Awful service, the owner comes and goes with his attitude, you know, it all depends on how he woke up today. But the food witch is the reason we are all here is a hit or miss, meaning theirs NO CONSISTENCY At All. Not worth the time or money.Dirty place, seriously outdated, seriously dirty.

Terrible service! We arrived to find the place practically empty. Took 15 mins before waitress came over. Took another 10 mins for water and drinks and only 1/2 drinks arrived. appetizers took way too long, waitress no where to be found. After dinner ordered, one person in our party did not get their food. I approached the new waiter and stated that our waitress disappeared. He stated she left, had an emergency, yet we saw her outside making out with boyfriend. I asked the waiter to check on last plate, he made excuses but went to kitchen to check. Plate came out, food was cold. They then had the audacity to charge us 18%. No apologies from staff. Will not be returning!

Had a great experience here tonight. Started with their featured soda and appetizer. Forgetting the names but check out the pics! Then ordered two dishes and tried them both. Both were good but preferred the yellow one. Finished with the fried donuts! Yum from start to finish!

My daughter and are in Jacksonville for our little getaway weekend. We stop by this restaurant, because we love our Peruvian food. My dish was delicious. I ordered cevich and it was just the way I liked it. My daughter had order lomo saltado and the meat had no flavor plus her fries were dry. This is the reason why Im giving it a 4. Service was good.

Never going back. Certainly NOT Peruvian, nor good at all. Sorry, brutally honest. Service was mediocre at that too. Having been to Peru this restaurant should be made to remove the word from their sign. Took the family there and all 3 of us were saddened....we did no even finish our plates. COVID aside I do not think the food will get any better.

A big disappointment... I ordered Seco and received a large plate with three little pieces of meat surrounded by a pool of beans. I dont know what happened but the flavor was not there; in addition to all that they nickel and dime me with BS charges for using a credit card (4% ???), a dollar fifty for hot yellow sauce?, water down Rocoto... I mean - sorry all around. Would not recommend at all... definitely not a restaurant to take your family or friends.

Met with a few friends for dinner. I ordered the Chicharrones De Pollo with Peruvian fried rice and sweet plantains. Fried breast meat with yummy plantains. I had some of my wife’s Bistec Encebollado and also paired Peruvian fried rice. We both enjoyed the fried rice and the bistec was nicely cooked with its juices in the plate. Good service. It was a nice dinner to end the night.

Authentic Peruvian food, I dropped a star as the menu prices were not correct. The manager explained that the website was created 15?years ago and never updated. I think the owner could capture more customers if they updated their website and reviewed the online feedback. The service was not the best, not personal, not much interaction with customer and service people. There was over hour wait for the food, I did not go for starter. They only had 12 people in restaurant when I arrived so not sure why it took over hour to prepare the main course. The food was good though, seems fresh and tasty. I was eating myself so the hour wait was bit long. Ok place, not best, but might come back again.

The fish soup was so delicious and was served piping hot which I loved. The waitress was so kind and attentive. I enjoyed the rice pudding also. My only unhappy surprise was the cold sliced potato with cold cheese sauce and half of hard boiled egg. I ate it but just wish I had been warned the food would be served cold. Americans eat hot food. I didn’t complain but was disappointed in that only.

Best ceviche ever! We also really liked the seafood soup and arroz con mariscos. Big portions, quality ingredients, great value, but dont expect a big fancy restaurant; however, we really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back!…………..............…..................................PS. Sorry about the photo, I normally dont take pictures of food and we already started eating it before I took the picture. It was just so good I had to. The presentation was much better than the photo shows. Its just coincidence I had the photo from last night so I thought Id add to the review.

It was my first time trying food from Peru !And I think I liked it , it was good and tasty and the staff were super friendly. We ordered:- Ceviche- Arroz con Mariscos- Jalea mixtaAnd they provide us FREE Cancha as much as we like! But I don’t know if the price was ok or little expensive but I considered that the Mexican restaurants are cheaper with more quantities or food anyhow my experience was good and I might try another food from Peru again either this restaurant or another one.

First time here, wasn’t greeted at the front door when a man behind the counter was just sitting there. Had to ask if I seated myself. Sat down and the one waitress that is working took forever to come over so ordered drinks and food all at once. Never got our drinks. Food came out pretty quick, 15 mins (2 apps and one kids mealHad to ask for drinks again. Kids meal came out wrong but he didn’t care. Food was ok. Flavor was good. The fish tasted very cheap tho. I will be trying the other Peruvian place next time.

We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. It seems to be the most authentic around because of the quality, type and quantity of food. Peruvian food is very unique and Piscos does a great job of showing that. Ceviche is fantastic. True Peruvian corn. They even have spices for sale. You have to try it!

The food is great! They have a great assortment of peruvian beers (Cusqueña, Cusqueña dark and Cristal). They even provide free cancha! The service was superb and really friendly. My only suggestion: PLEASE MAKE A BETTER PISCO SOUR!! I tried the regular pisco sour and I was not fond of it (they seem to use a pisco sour mix when preparing them, which tastes nothing like a pisco sour). For a place called PISCO, I would expect their featured drink to be great. This was not the case. Make a real pisco sour please.

Piscos consistently has amazing food and its always served fresh. Portions are big enough for me that I can get two meals out of one serving, and the grilled chicken is probably the best tasting grilled chicken Ive ever had. The staff are all very friendly and hard-working but service can be a little slow sometimes. Overall a consistently good place to get delicious food!

The food was horrible quality, I paid $70 for 2 people and something we barely ate and i was hungry after I left the place. Either lower the price of the food or make better quality. I probably will never go again. Stay as far away as possible from this place if u want to get your moneys worth.

Ive been coming here for years, and I cant believe I havent done a review. So if you are not in a rush during lunch..come here but if you are in a rush dont .. this doesnt mean that the food isnt great its amazing !! Its just not your place for fast food. As for cost I believe you get more food here for the price than other ceviche places in town. With that out of the way this place definitely brings back memories of being in Peru especially with the wall paintings as well as the drinks, inkacola, and cerviche !! Its off the wall great. Large portions and when you ask for spicy they deliver! Their fried rice is phenomenal, and the potato and cheese " papa a la huancaina" on their appetizer is authentic as it gets! Dont forget to try the beef hearts "antecucho".. it tastes like a very soft and smooth steak
