Diners enjoy dinner & a show with an 18th-century ship replica as the stage at this thrilling event.
My wife and I went to this show tonight and it was really a blast. My wife surprised me with this for our sixth wedding anniversary. Our server was great, the food terrific, the show was fun, and any pirate fan will enjoy it. What a great way to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Arrrr! Here there be pirates.
I was the purple flag-waving girl and bad-shot as a cannoneer tonight at the 7pm show. Thank you for giving me such a great evening. Im very sad I had to leave early because my stupid phone was dying and I didnt want to get stranded. My pirate was awesome - reminded me of a good friend of mine. I wish I could have gotten pictures with him and the other pirates. Ill be leaving town tomorrow and I probably wont be back. But it was nice to do something for a night where my inner kid could laugh and play. Keep up the awesome work!
The show was amazing and so interactive. It included aerial dancing and lots of fun activities with the audience. The food wasn’t good but the show made up for it.
Very boring, nothing happens. Incomprehensible plot, difficult to hear or understand actors, no acrobatics as pictures imply (just one 5 min bit by mermaid and pirates jumping om trampoline not much better than my kids)My boys m (8 yr oldsdid not enjoy. Picture sums up all the ‘action’. Not worth the money, Circus Vargas is way better for same money.
1st time visiting. Our server Fabian was the best. He introduced himself and asked if the family had any allergies. My son is allergic to peanuts and Fabian offer him a smoothie for his desert. Never have I meet a server that cares or bothers on asking if we have any food allergies. I asked him if he can please serve the kids before us and he did. His customer service was amazing. Thank you Fabian for giving us an amazing customer service. You are the best.
What a fantastic show! I went last night with my boyfriends family; we range from 22 to 60 years old. Everyone had a great time. The show was interactive, meaning that audience members were brought in to help with competitions or augment parts of the show. The actors are great, and the script was so funny! My boyfriend said his family had gone years before, but the establishment has changed the script and music up entirely since then, and for the better. I highly recommend!
Unique theatrical dinner experience. We weren’t sure how our kids were going to take it. Our 9 year old loved it so much she barely ate her food since she was so involved in the show!
The show was great - we bought our tickets the day of, and purchased the announcement at the beginning of the show which didnt happen which was slightly disappointing. Its a great stunt and acrobatics show that Ill still give it 5 stars. Go to cheer for your color even though Blue always wins.
Wonderful show!! The actors and stunts are spectacular!! Food could use more class but the appetizers are so good. I had jalapeño poppers, fries, and chicken wings. Worth the extra $20.I love the interactive-ness with the audience and especially the children.
Went to the August 17th show. Really incredible experience. My 7 year old loved it!The actors were phenomenal and engaged with the audience throughout. Their acting/accents were outstanding. The food was really good. The chicken, mashed potatoes 🤤, shrimp and veggies were all bomb. Servers were kind and timely with everything. I was just all around impressed and enjoyed the whole experience. Well worth it for sure.
This is a must in Buena Park. Amazing show and theatrics! Better than the medieval show!! The food was better than we expected. They brought all the children on stage as honorary pirates and included lots of children and adults in other aspects of the show. They also have a cute gift shop. And encourage all pirate attire. Wonderful family entertainment. Would do it again!! Highly recommended.
I just went tonight (8/14), and it was the best Ive experienced. The gift shop is awesome, the actors are awesome, and the experience? Spectacular. I couldnt hate a single pirate and they complimented my outfit. It was absolutely awesome to be able to experience something like this. The actors and servers made the experience a one of a kind thing, where the audience participated. It was such fun watching my pirate win, even though screaming so loud made my head dizzy. Id 100% go again!
What a great show! My 7-year-old and 3-year-old loved it so very much! Delicious food, great service, an intensely fun and Interactive show!My 3 year old loved being able to go on stage and be swore in as a real life pirate! He hasnt stopped talking about the pirate show and being a pirate for weeks! For all that you get with the show the three course meals, the show interaction and the service the tickets are a really great price and Im honestly surprised they dont charge more!We love this show so much its our second time seeing it and wed be happy to go again!Fabian was awesome, he took our order before the show even started to he didnt disrupt us from the show.Highly recommend anyone with family or kids near knottsberry farm to come see this show, I promise the kids wont leave disappointed! It def has something for everyone!Thank you cast and crew for a fun and amazing interactive show!
Such a fun time! My daughter and I finally tried Pirates after going to Medieval Times 5x. Wish we’d gone sooner! Great show that involves the audience and allows children to take part. Really awesome acrobatics, you can tell they’re pros! The green Pirate was talking with guests and just randomly did a back flip to delight the kids! Amazing! My daughter is an actress so we’re pretty critical of performances, but this cast was incredible!!! Food very good. My daughter had some special dietary requests (she doesn’t eat carbsand they accommodated no questions asked. Would definitely recommend and plan to go again! Dress up in your favorite Pirate look and have fun! That’s what shows like this are all about!!!🏴☠️
The show was amazing! My daughter was scared and the cast went above and beyond to comfort her! I was so impressed! Our server Sherri was absolutely fantastic as well! So we’ll done and family friend! I can’t say enough. Go red team!
Crammed in a small room prior to show, was charged $34 for something I was able to purchase for $15 in the gift shop. Salad was just bag lettuce and soup was so runny it was literally poured out of a pitcher….. can’t wait to see the show… wait we are literally sitting next to stairs…….
Had a good night out with my girlfriend. While the show us geared towards kids, it was still fun and full of pop culture references for millenials to enjoy. The cast was talented, the food was better than expected and the service was fast and friendly. The only knock was seeing the main pirate star partially undressed having a smoke outside pre-show, which was funny and kinda took the magic away from the get-go.
Fun experiences with friends. Even on a weekday, the line seems extremely long to get in. I recommend getting there 2 hours early to make ample time to get into the place.I do think..the seating is a bit odd that the best spot isnt necessary in the front because when they do the acting on the top row, its not possible for the front seat to see the whole action. But its still a wonderful experience.
6/28/22 Tuesday after seeing show 5pm at Medieval times dinner adventure I came directly for 7pm show in pirate dinner adventure $55 ticket. Small area, food was good but show wasnt that entertaining.
The food was sub par along witht the entertainment. It is definitely geared more towards children. The actors/actresses made the whole show along with the wait staff. I would go again if it was cheaper. Would recommend getting a Groupon to make it cheaper
Took my niece here for her 1st time (my 3rd timeand every time the story is amazing, interactive and so much fun! Our chicken was so moist and a great meal. This show we had the orange pirate Andre and he was amazing and I want to thank him for involving my very shy niece. She had so much fun. The purple pirate Saxon was so funny and fun to watch! We also had the best server Gavin who was a delight from the moment he sat us to the end! I will always recommend this show to friends and family members. Also splurge and get the chocolate cake it was so good!
Excellent food & entertainment venue! Spent my 26th birthday here, attending for the first time, and was blown away by the craftsmanship and talent here. The aerial dancers were my favorite, absolutely stunning. As a pirates fan, this was the place to be! Planning on returning someday soon. They serve cake with a candle on your birthday!
Wow, I cant say enough good things about this show food and place it was amazingly fantastic. What a show!!!! Love it and definitely be back when im back in Cali. You guys made our trip fantastic. Thank you. 😉
My friends, family and I planned this for months and had a wonderful time. The pirates were surprisingly friendly (for piratesand came up to us before the show to interact with my group. The food was actually very good and our server Anthony, was incredibly kind, quick paced, and had even quicker wits! Although the kitchen was unable to accommodate one of my friends garlic sensitivity, Anthony communicated with her to help get her a meal that she would be able to eat and enjoy. By far, he was my groups favorite pirate that night. The show itself was a ton of fun (go orange pirate! And was an amazing display of athleticism and aerobatic skill from the cast. I even got to be a volunteer for the treasure hunt game.I would love to attend for another showing again. Though Ill have to save up for it. Those tickets arent cheap and with good reason!
My food was pretty good, I enjoyed my quarter chicken leg, mashed potatoes and veggies. The site was entertaining but I think was very long 1hr 40 min, kids were having fun.
Super fun event. Food was really good. Had the pork plate and it was very well done. Liquor prices are not bad. Drinks are very good. Staff was fun and attentive. They really focus on your kids so they have a good time. Show is fun to watch. Well worth the money
So much fun, better than I expected! Even our 9 month olds were entertained the whole time and the pirates interacted a lot with our 10 year old! I do recommend getting there early because the bar and souvenir section fills up very fast and gets very hot. I upgraded one of our meals to the turkey and I dont think it was cooked all the way. Not worth the extra. We ordered drinks with our dinner that was suppose to be included and never came, and they didnt give a dessert option which was a shame because I dont like coconut. I guess my only complaints were about the food. The show itself was amazing. Cant wait to go back, their wifi went down and I didnt bring enough cash for souvenirs so hopefully next time I can get a few things for the kids before the show
Always so much fun. The show is great, and I love how much they include the kids.
Great opportunity to have fun with the kids or just go enjoy it yourself. The story was fun to watch and extremely entertaining! The service was great and the food was pretty good as well. I enjoyed sitting there and watching the acrobatics and sword play while the story plot was very easy to follow. I will definitely be back
Definitely a must see if youre looking for a family friendly tourist attraction! The prices are fairly reasonable and includes both the show and a dinner. You can also pay for extra stuff as well. The show itself is very entertaining with a lot of viewer participation. If you have a child, its almost a guarantee that they will participate in the show in some way (cant say for sure though, I just noticed the actors tried to pick the younger audience members as much as possible).I do believe there was a preshow but I unfortunately missed it because I didnt know. I recommend trying to arrive a little early so that you can join in on the fun (instead of arriving on the dot like me).The food itself is okay. Youre definitely paying moreso for the show than the meal. Everyone agreed that the chicken was delicious though. Service was pretty fast as well.
I would have gave this a 5 star for the performances. But the service is very awful. I asked for water, it never came! My server was “Ari” she was very rude I ordered a drink, it never arrived. I don’t think it’s quality food or service for the price you pay. The performance is nice, and they all are talented. Unfortunately you have to walk out to the bar if you want something. No one is taking your order meanwhile
Maybe it’s me. It probably is so take this with a grain of salt. Or a bowl of salt like the vegetable soup I just tried at this place. Either way, the show is meh. Just meh. Not awful but meh. What makes this place bad is the food. I think someone mentioned it being edible. And it is. You can eat this stuff for sure. You can chew it and swallow it no doubt at all. But, it’s absolutely horrible. I mean you can’t really see it due to the lighting so you really have to rely on smell and taste. And that’s not what you want in this situation. Maybe if you could see it then your mind would recognize that it’s actually food on that plate in front of you. But since you really just go with whatever gets on the fork and kinda blindly eat it… you will truly understand how bad this stuff is. If the point of this show is to capture what it must be like to eat like an actual pirate in the 1600’s, this place nailed it hands down. And hands down is where you might end up. Hands down and wrapped around whatever bush, toilet, or curb you can find while crab walking your way out if this place. Good luck to you and may the odds be ever in your favor.
The staff and actors are so cool, shout-out to them fr green pirate and Korissa our server rocked. Go wild and participate, it makes things more fun. If you’re really into it, the pirates are more likely to have you participate on stage. The food is fine, I personally enjoyed the standard chicken meal. The show itself is less mindless fighting than you’d expect, there’s singing and romance plots. Still plenty of scenes to go crazy and shout to so it’s balanced.
A little pricy but a good time had by all! We had a group from 5 yearys old to 50 and all of us enjoyed the show. All the staff were friendly and polite. We will be back one day.
It is true it is the most interactive show dining experience couple my kids were part of the entertainment the food was good the lobster was good could have been a little bit bigger but the server she wasnt quick enough we got our food later the last in our section it was supposed to be all you can drink the sodas and stuff like that but I had to keep asking for it over and over again so pretty much only got literally like two refills of my Pepsi #pepsi the tomato soup was good but everything the show feels great if your VIP they should allow you to go in first like other places do so here even with us having paid the most for the tickets we were pretty much almost the last to sit so they didnt have no separation of VIP and regular ticket holders so I probably could give it a three stars because of that but pretty much four stars is good only why they didnt get the first stars because of that plus also the server like I said I had to keep asking for my drink to be refilled over again after she forgot several times and we were the last ones to be fed if she cant handle a big section then they need to give her a smaller sectionthey keep using covet as their excuse for not having the VIP section like they used to with the free appetizers and everything else so they need to get on their website and fix a bunch of stuff because even talks about youre supposed to get shrimp with your food and you dont but I do like how they do have more options than other places. Hopefully everythings good using the voice to text trying to make sure it says exactly what I say. But I would like to go back again same experience VIP my daughter loved it so she wants me to do her birthday there and May it was for my wifes birthday this time she enjoyed it thats the main part thats why its still at four stars. Our pirate was the red pirate Jack he was cool the yellow pirate was awesome just like the green pirate. So if you havent gone and see the pirate show and Buena Park you should do that this year tax money is coming out save some for a family night out on the town.
Even better experience and show than previous. They have really stepped up their performance. The pirates all come out before the show for quite a while and they individually come out and interact with all the guests. It was great! It adds a personal aspect to the whole experience. Two of my kids were chosen to be part of the show and even I was selected by the captain to join in as well. Its very interactive. There are some pirates that are silly and crack lots of jokes. The food was great. Adults get a choice of either pork or chicken and they are both really good! The kids all get a hamburger, Mac and cheese, and seasoned mashed potatoes. The fountain drinks for kids and adults are bottomless and the dessert was a German chocolate cake. They ask about food allergies several times so that really shows me theyre attentive to detail.
I went for a Birthday in costume and we all had a great time. The entertainment was great. Dinner and drinks were perfect.
It was very fun they all had very good parts and awesome costumes! They were all very funny and you can also go for your birthday and they will give you a cake and a gold coin! Overall you should just go it’s very awesome!
We attended on Dec. 23rd and they had a Christmas show on with Santa, Mrs. Claus and a fairy. There was no disclaimer when we bought the tickets. As cute as it was to see an acrobatic fairy for 15 minutes we were there see PIRATES sword fighting each other with water blasting and a fire 🔥 show. Thats what we were expecting and feel we were robbed from that. The Santa show got pretty boring quick. 😴 not impressed at all with the "show". Food was delicious and tasty. Server was nice and friendly but was MIA a lot. I had to ask other servers to send my server over 3 different times. 🙃 very disappointed with this pirate show. ☠️
I went for the first time to experience the Christmas show with friends. We were cheering and having a great time! So actors were swinging and jumping and flipping all over the ship. Wow, they have some energy! Glad I went!
The dinner was ok, correct. The show is fun, and the audience is well involved. The souvenir shop has no price showing, neither the bar. They make a picture of you at the entrance that they sell 42$ during the show. Don t forget your tips for the waiter!
This stuff is crazy fun!!! Its a small audience so theres a lot of interaction! The cast is amazing and fun, very cool and talented actors! Theres singing and acrobatics. A pretty okay dinner (think costco rotisserie chicken and potatoesit was good and the waiters were very nice. Its very loud, they have pyrotechnics and prop guns. They had a halloween costume contest and a cute shout out to the people with birthdays. I was pretty entertained i actually stopped eating at points because i kept watching the plot. Its a fun time, i went with friends (were all in our 20s no kidsand we had a blast, but its definitely family friendly even with the booze flowing. The meal is free, but any alcohol or extra food is charged. They take your picture when you enter and its around $40 to purchase the pack. Theres a gift shop too!
No wifi. And cash only. Wish they would state that before arrival. Couldn’t purchase a souvenir since I had no cash. Show was nice. Food was good. Dessert was ok, I’m not much of a cake person anyway.
Seemed fun for the kids, not too packed on a Thursday night. Waiters were very nice and the performers put in quite a lot of effort. The food was fine but don’t expect anything gourmet, you are definitely just paying for the show.
OK so dont expect much food wise. I liked the salad because it was drenched and ranch and that how I eat my salads however if you dont like it drenched make sure you let them know to go light on the dressing. My kids didnt touch any of their food. However Im still giving it 5 stars for the entertainment and show itself. It was a highlight of our trip. Everyone agreed it was way better than we expected it to be. Had me and the kids smiling and laughing all night.
I went for my birthday. The drinks were delicious. Show was awesome. Food could be better, but who really comes here for the food anyway?!
Great show, service was wonderful, food mediocre. Got the family appetizer, definitely not worth the $25 dollars.Dessert that is included with the meal has walnuts, since we have a family member with a nut allergy we declined dessert. Waiter was very nice and brought us strawberry slushies, virgin strawberry daiquiri , very nice of him and made the kids happy. Would definitely recommend they offer a chocolate cake without nuts of any kind as the included dessert.
Fun experience, it is loud and lots of pyrotechnics so I wouldnt bring small children or sound sensitive people here. The food is basic but edible. The cocktails are good and the bar gives generous pours. My hubby liked this show better then the Medival Times, I liked them both!
5 stars for the pirate show performance - comedy, along with lots of singing, dancing, acrobats, aerial show and fun times for kids and adults👍👍👍.We were seated on the purple section and got to cheer for the pirate in purple. He walked around, chatted and took some pictures with us.When we arrived, we took a couple of pictures in front of green screen, then walked into a gift shop. There’s no need to arrive 90 minutes early… we were seated in the first row because of the upgrade. We had a simple dinner menu - soda, lemonade, or tea, tomato soup or salad to start, everyone got a piece of chicken with mash potatoes and veggies, wrapped up the night with a piece of cake.
First of all,, there is absolutely no reason for you to arrive 90 minutes+ early as they mention. Once you are checked in and have your pics taken with the green screen, you end up in a gift shop area which you walk through in about 5 mins. They do have a small bar that youre able to order (priceyalcoholic beverages before the show...had a line, but moved pretty fast. Then you can sit at your table and wait for the show to start. We arrived about 45 mins early and sat at our table waiting for 35 mins..pretty boring. The food is awful...why not offer a ticket with no food option? We were seated in the red section and many many plates were picked up with a lot of food untouched. Such a waste. The show was ok. All of the performers wear mics so during fight scenes or when several actors were speaking all at once, you couldnt understand a thing. We were very excited initially, then became uninterested half way through the show. The "mermaid" aerial and dancing was nice, but we thought it was kind of weird in a pirate show (?)Anyway, around this time, an employee came by and was offering photo packages from the pics taken at the entrance, $42. Do you have to do this in the middle of the show? The people seated in front of us took forever to decide if they wanted the pics or not....all while the employee was standing right in front of us..we couldnt see the show. How about leave the pics and come back later??Also, gratuity for your server...so bring cash!!Last, the place was packed. I dont think there was a single seat open. If youre uncomfortable with so many people in a room with no masks, maybe suggest going during the week. We were there Friday evening.Pirate dinner adventure will be one of those things that you do once and never return.
