Seasonal kids' attraction with rides plus a playground, pirate ship, mini train & casual eats.
It was open for a Halloween Fest. Had a great time with my daughters and granddaughters. EGV out did themselves to put together this fun fest.
Amazing staff. Fantastic themed park for kids. They understand kids this age and went above and beyond for my kids. They know how to make kids happy. Wish they had more parks like this run by people who really care about the kids experience. They do it for them, period. If your kid likes Pirates, its a must.
Love that they only charge for kids. Which I believe was $13. It had little amusement rides water boats( kids ride alone very small pool a cute train ride amount other activities. Sad they close at 2pm but it was a fun cpl hours
This is a great place for smaller kids. I would say under 5. Biggest complaint is there are long lines for everything which in my opinion is bad when you are catering to smaller impatient kids. So I recommend getting there early if you dont want to spend most of your time waiting.
Its entertaining place for kids with varieties of activities. You are not required to walk much. But dont forget to keep eats with you.
I think the food should either be less expensive or not stale. The small $3 bag is popcorn was stale. $7 smoothie or pretzel is a bit high. A few other tweaks Id do also. The tickets werent as expense as some other places at least.
The place is the most fun for kids aged 3 to 6. We got there at 12pm and it was pretty busy and hard to get a parking spot. I would definitely recommend the park for families with preschoolers and kindergartens. We paid $13 as non-residents, under 2 years and adults free.
Enjoyed watching hundreds of kids of various ages, including my grandchildren, enjoy the various rides and activities at this place. Even though there were lots of children and adults everyone seemed to have a grand time while in the Cove.
Great place for toddlers and younger children. Just big enough for them gave fun . .small enough to try every ride/attraction.
My fiancé, took me and my daughter here, and I ended up having more fun than the both of em lol. Great place to take the kids, would of gave it 5 stars but the place is small, they should extend the park.
We recently had a birthday party here and everyone had a great time! The season passes are a great value. We spent all summer here one year. We love this place.
Nice place to go to have a fun ... <3
It was very fun for my 5 and 2 year old. Would recommend to anyone who has small children 7 and under
Perfect for little ones!! Lots of rides and activities to keep them entertained for hours.
Pirates cove is the cutest kids t"amusement park". I would say ages 2-7 would enjoy it. My oldest is 8, and although she gets excited to go, there is not much for her to do anymore. Its a small enough place that you dont feel overwhelmed with the littles. Lines are never long, especially if you go right when they open. Usually around 1130+ it gets a bit crowded. We appreciate that they dont charge adults to get in. I believe the entrance fee is $13 for non residents. We love this place and will be sad when our girls outgrow it
I think this place is great for 2 to maybe 8 year old. Its small but there is enough excitement for my 4 year old at 2 year old to have fun for 3 hours.
Hidden gem in the community. Great was spend few hours with kids. They have different kind of activities. Staff was great and trained. Highly recommended.
Been coming here since I was 5, VERY good amusement park, and while others such as Kiddieland have been long gone, I believe this amusement park got bought out and made to be ran by Elk Grove themselves, good. It means they can never shut down and I love it!
What a magical place for children! I was most impressed by the cleanliness, inexpensive pricing and well-managed staff. The workers were all friendly (and phone-free which is refreshing!). We cannot wait to go again.
Love this place so much. Small but with a lot of attractions. Fee apply only for kids. Non resident 13$
Super cute and fun place for little ones 🥳
Great place for the little ones.Whats really great is they only charge for little.
The rides and attractions are great! The reason behind the 3 stars is the DREAD and MISERY on the faces of the employees. Yes, its summer time, it is hot, but Im sure they were well aware of this when they signed up for the job. Ive seen kids try to j teraxt or say thank you to some workers and the workers have such a sluggish face on them and a look of being absolutely miserable. It makes visiting the park so uncomfortable! It inspires a near sense of guilt and inconvenience for visiting with our children and families. Also at the little boat area, please have the workers pay attention to the kids instead of being caught up on chatter amongst themselves. I saw one little girl standing up trying to say she was done but nobody was paying attention to her and she almost tried to step off and a other time I saw another childs boat duck toward a corner and they didnt know how to get themselves out. Please pass along to your employees!
Its a very nice place for lots but its pretty small not much to do but repeat the same 5 or 6 things over and over
Nice place to visit with the kids. Rides for the kids and spend a few hours.
We had our grandsons birthday party there and it was a complete success and everybody had the best time
We love this little cute pirate place! Our kids have fun every time we go!
Excellent small theme park for younger kids. Price is right and time invested is great for kids that still take naps.Always check the hours however as its not open as much as youd think
Do not miss this gem for your young family! Beautifully maintained and just the right size for young kids to enjoy before nap time. The landscaping is also very well designed and kept up. Good spots to take a break for a lunch picnic. Really loved this spot (almost as much as my kids!).
A surprisingly nice amusement park right here in the community. Perfect for little kids 2-6yrs in age. Unlimited rides without the long line waits and without the worry of larger kids of traditional amusement parks and carnivals.
For families with kids 9 and under, it was really fun. It is like an amusement park for kids. I was worried my 3yr old niece wouldnt want to go on the rides or the boat alone but she was able to do it all!! (So proud of her!!A fun train ride for the whole family to ride on together...or should I say squeeze onto. 😂 You really only need 1-2 hours to do everything there and wear out the kiddos! Great morning, no complaints. THANK YOU to whoever turned in our car keys!!!!!
My 5 year-old and 3 year-old both had lots of fun here. There were kids younger and older than them that also looked like they were enjoying the various rides. The big slide with burlap sacks to go down and the boats you can paddle were the most fun.We went on a Saturday and arrived just after the park opened at 9am, and it was not crowded at all. By 11am, it was crowded, and people were having a hard time finding a parking spot. Still, the park didnt feel too crowded, and the lines were still not very long.Pack a snack, and you can eat it in the huge pirate ship in the center of the park.Would definitely go back!
We went on Wednesday morning and it was very busy. The little kids definitely had more fun than the older ones who are 8-9, the older kids only did rock-climbing, everything else was too "boring" according to them.2-4 year olds had a blast. The little boat, train, carousel.. All were a lot of fun for them.
Good place for kids 3-9 to have a couple hours of fun. Rides are mostly for little ones.
Cant say enough good things about pirates cove! We came during a rainy cold ish day and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our 4 year old had a blast!! Lots of parks and small rides for a little to enjoy!10/10 recommend!
Fun place for kids 3- 8 years of age.
Very small place but great for kids under 8 kids had a great time. And the price is fair. The kids ask to go there every summer.
Such a fun little amusement park for the Littles in your life! Plus, the climbing wall, train, and slide can be enjoyed for the older kids or even parents! Nice, clean, and well staffed! Also has a snack bar, without insane prices!
We love coming to this place. It’s a perfect amusement park for kids. My boys are six and four and absolutely love it. I would say that this park is best for kids eight and under. It is so small and quaint that you could get to everything several times. The kids love it
Great small park for the little ones! There’s a handful of rides there so it’s perfect for a few hours... only downfall i would say is no regulation on masks on adults or kids.. i know things are starting to open back up but i also didn’t see any cleaning being done while i was there.
Weve been to Pirates cove during the summer but this year we also went for the touch a truck Halloween event and it was so fun! My son loved being able to get in the trucks and cars and get candy too! Wonderful event for the kids and adults!
Good place. Free for adults. Not so big, but really nice
I have been to this place once before, when my 24yr old was about 3. The prices have been raised but it was exactly how I remember it. Very fun place for younger children. It was clean and not too over crowded. I will definitely be back with my youngest next year.
Great for kids and especially birthday parties! Well organized and the staff is great with kids off all ages. Highly recommended if you have young kids and are looking for something to do this summer. My 3yo had a blast and I saw kids younger than 2yo enjoying it as well.
Talk about full circle, I’ve been coming here since I was a young child myself and now 30+ years later I’m bringing my children here! There was face painting today which was even more special! It was PACKED but even so, there were short lines and everything moved quickly. It was nice that there were little sprinklers to cool down with. It was very affordable and you can spend 2-4 hours there easily.
This is a long-time Chicago-area favorite. This is a great place for kids 2-8 years to come and get their energy out. It’s inexpensive, well maintained, and you can spend a couple hours here, or all morning and afternoon.
What a fun place to take my little ones! And the staff is amazing, patient and kind. First time going here and I have to say it was a great experience. We didnt try any food or snacks since we were there for a birthday celebration. Fenced and clean area with tables, different rides and slides. My littles enjoyed couple of rides. They are 2yr and 1yr old . Definitely recommend for any day. We will return here soon.
Omg my kids had so much fun!!! The only reason I gave 4 stars, is because I wish they had a few more attractions. But its Great for the little ones. Maybe 11 and younger.....
Great place for the kids and for once it didnt cost for adults to get in. I notice most places for kids they charge adults even though theres nothing for adults. My son had so much fun!
I like to say this is a staple of EGV life for a new family. My 2.5 years old son absolutely loves this place and I love the fact they hire local high school students to run the place. Season pass is well worth every penny.
