Funky neighborhood taproom with colorful murals dishing up hefty sandwiches & burgers.
I get dive bars, but they don’t have to be dumps. This place is a dump, beware. I checked it out because it was highly rated - why?Start with the beer - cool but not cold and served in a plastic cup like a frat party. No bottled beer.Cleanliness - if you are into fruit flies this is the place for you! The bathroom was infested with them and the bar had its share. I saw three come out of my plate of food and I was done. Fruit flies mean filthy - clean this joint up.The food - average at best. Wings weren’t cooked bad but very little sauce, and the sauce was not that good. The fries were soggy.Maybe at night when a band is playing it is OK. I went for lunch, big mistake.
So rude. None of the servers gave us the time of day. We ordered and they walked away and we had to approach them again just to order a drink. While talking to the servers they were so dry, short, and rude. We tried the famous donut burgers and we watched them make it, everything came out of a store package. They tried to charged us extra for our meals and if we hadn’t noticed we would’ve paid too much. There was stand up comedy happening and all the jokes were offensive people left within minutes of walking in.I wish I would’ve left sooner as well.
This was a great dive bar. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and live music. I ate the titan cheese steak and it was amazing! They put the sides right on the sandwich. The "sides" included sweet and sour vinegar cole slaw and hand cut French fries. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for cold beer and hot food at a reasonable price. Thanks Piranhas!
The service was fine but would not trust the food or beer. Im hoping that the hard alcohol can kill most things that would make you sick.P.s. use the bathroom before you show up the flys were friendly but a little to buggy.
DO NOT GO HERE. The other day a few of my coworkers and I went to grab a few drinks after work- the service was slow and the bartenders apologized for not seeing us because we were at the end of the bar. Once others left we moved closer to the center of the bar so we could order another drink with faster service. I was enjoying my drink and suddenly a massive RAT ran down from the ceiling, down the wall, and hallways across the bar before plummeting to the ground. I was horrified. The owner of the bar was very kind and apologized and it seemed as if he wasn’t shocked. He said that rodents are common as it’s a stand-alone building that is old and because it’s wet outside they’re trying to stay dry. This is absolutely unacceptable and SO gross. We chugged our drinks and left ASAP.I have never once reviewed a restaurant/bar either good or bad but I couldn’t pass this up.
We visited for my sister’s bachelorette party! She ROCKED the karaoke singing “I want to dance with somebody” by Whitney Houston. The crown was amazing! Fun time!!
Absolutely loved it. I went during the day time, they had signer on stage. Got to interact with the preformer. Felt like we had a private concert. Not sure how the night scene was, but we had fun.
DO NOT GO HERE. A group of 7 women had tickets to a show at this bar. It was completely dead when we got there. At showtime, the bartenders said the performers were stuck in bad weather and traffic but were on the way. We ordered drinks and waited for their arrival. After over an hour of this, we finally decided to leave. Today we found out the show had been cancelled 5 days ago, but the owner just wanted our business. The owner is a liar and scammed us just so people would be at his bar.The place was also dirty and the cheese fries were disgusting.
Worst experience ever. A group of 7, including myself bought tickets for a show and the owner knew the show was canceled 5 days before- even though the show wasn’t going to happen the employees kept telling us it was still on and the performers should arrive any minute. We bought drinks and food waiting for the show to start. It never happened. The owner is a liar and a thief. Sketchy part of town too. He took our money and time.
Fantastic service. We visited here from Richmond, Va and we were looking for somewhere local to enjoy a good meal. The owner greeted us at the door which was very sweet and immediately sold us on the place. The live music was fantastic and he took in every suggestion we could give him! Not to mention the food was phenomenal! Great place to go when you’re in town!
Best food in Nashville. Great service and amazing food. The owner is very nice and works hard to please his customers. Live music is great and nice place for family, kids, and anyone really. Love this place and I will come back everytime Im in Nashville.
Went with 5 girlfriends for the male review. Had an AWESOME time!! The guys were very entertaining and there was a fairly small crowd so each woman got individual attention!! It was great!! The bar staff however, left something to be desired. One bartender was rude in the sense when someone told her there was a poop clogged toilet before the show (I mean badly clogged), she said “just don’t use that one.” When there’s only 2 others available and about 40 women drinking (and this was a small crowd). And the bartenders were just hanging around the bar when not making drinks. Then I went back for another drink later (the same as I had gotten beforeand it was suddenly $10 instead of $8.50. I told her about the difference and she said “well they’re supposed to be $10.” This was a grey goose and cranberry. Then my friend tells me she paid $15 for hers and it was HER bachelorette party!! Really NOT cool that the bartender was making up prices just because she saw some easy tourists. Lame AF. But I really enjoyed the show and the guys were really fun!! Prolly go back for the entertainment but I’ll be pre-partying before buying more alcohol there.
Was totally dead when we got there on a Friday night. About 10, 10:30pm and you can see the images posted. Was about 8 people in there. Drinks were small but fairly priced. Apparently they have a 10lb cheesesteak challenge... but based on the cleanliness of the place, Id be hesitant to eat anything.
Its kind of a tight space, the air conditioner doesnt work well enough, & it was packed with children ages 18 to 25. Fortunately I was there for something specific & was allowed to go upstairs away from children. The staff is cool though & I absolutely adore the under sea murals on the walls. Gives an awesome effect.
This is a bar right near Broadway in downtown Nashville. It has beautiful morals painted on their outside walls & a full bar, stage & dance floor inside! They are open til 3am most days & they have full menu too! They also allow there space for rental for all type of events, u just have to call or email them for pricing & details!!!
Go have some hot 🔥 chicken wings there and a good place.
Great music and fun. Im not sure about the vodka shots. They dont taste much like vodka but straight up nail polish remover. The gin is a bit more bearable but the ciders are great.
This was my girlfriends and my first visit here, the burgers were amazing!! We stopped by while downtown yesterday 8/26, Im only giving one star is becuase the waitress was unbelievably immature and rude. We may never come back nor recommend this restaurant to anyone. This was on our anniversary and my girlfriend wanted nothing more then to try a donut burger. My girlfriend ordered a sweet tea which just tasted horrible, like it was old and filled with lemon juice. She asked for a coke instead since she couldnt drink it without gagging. The coke never came.. "the waitress forgot about it, we saw her on her phone texting," so when my girlfriend went to the bathroom about 15 minutes later she asked for it.It took nearly an hour for use to get our food when there were only eight people in the bar. Our cheese sticks showed up after our burgers, and we didnt get but one refill the entire time. The waitress was actually throwing us dirty looks at us for some reason as well. When we went to pay, we were being charged for the tea and the coke, and when we asked about it the waitress started yelling. At this point i had enough, and she removed the tea when i pointed out my girlfriend didnt drink it.After the horrible service we received, the dirty looks, and her yelling at us. I didnt feel she deserved a tip, once we paid and she saw she didnt get one. The waitress actually checked in front of us, the girl had a tantrum like a 3 year old, throwing her hands in the air, yelled some more, and glared at us.
This was the worst male review club I have ever seen. The dances were poorly executed and not talented. There was no seating and they forgot about our reservation. Girls were constantly going up to the stage and hanging out there so no one behind could see.The bar would not give change for the strippers. They wanted you to tip in 10s and 20s.The owner was desperate on the mic constantly begging for more tips for the dancers.
Service struggles even before the crowds start coming in. 6 people in the place 10pm took an hour to get food... The wife had a burger and fries which was simply amazing. I made the mistake of getting the cheese steak, as its supposed to be their most popular. Dont, its very dry over cooked and boring. Nothing but a small amount of steak, cheese and an odd vingery slaw. The slaw is 200% needed to help save the jerky on this sandwich. The fries are awesome however. Fresh cut with perfect seasoning. Ill be back just wont make the mistake of ordering their poorly done cheese steak.
Early morning donut burger and breakfast shot! The painted piranhas dressed like country singers and musicians like kiss give this a friendly and entertaining environment.A bit off Broadway but I do think they had some male dancers there a few nights we were staying next door.
Went in with some friends on a Saturday night looking for something to eat. They ordered burgers & I ordered mozzarella sticks for $9. I payed with a $10 & was waiting for my order talking with my friend when a red haired skinny bartender came to me cussing at me saying " you didnt leave a tip motherf***er?! " " if you want good f***ing service you leave a motherf****ing tip. " I remind you I have yet to receive my order. I was appalled & was amazed with how I was treated & very upset. I said to her I want my money back & so did my friends & she said no & to get out. I said Im not leaving until I get my refund. The original bartender that took my order gave us our money back after 10 mins of being ignored. They offered to give me the food anyway but I didnt trust it. Not after that hostile encounter. & for the record I always leave a tip. Once I get what I paid for! .. So I recommend that nobody goes there. Its a mess with sticky floors & dirty counter tops with the worlds most disrespectful bartender I have yet to come across. Thank you for that experience
Penny beers were not even worth stopping at this bar. I regret even walking in. The bartender was mixing 3 different types of beer in one pitcher and then pooring it in peoples cups for their penny beer promotion. With that and the bar being sticky and atmosphere being dark and dingy (at 4pmI will never go back.
Me and Coworker went to this restaurant for the first time to grab some lunch. Upon arriving and waiting a few minutes a waitress looked at us, answered a personal phone call and headed to the back kitchen and just left us standing there. A simple “Somebody will be right with you” would have been nice. We took our money elsewhere.
Plain and simple, no frills with good food. Was not there for live music.
First time eating a burger that taste just as good without condiments.
They should take a little more pride in their quality of service and cleanliness with this many stars. Maybe 20 people in the whole establishment and it took over an hour to get a very small mediocre meal. Prices are so high for what you get. It’s Nashville, but come on, You have people wanting a good experience and you can’t provide it.
I came in to watch the Vikings football game on Jan 14th and it was packed. I thought it would take forever to have my order taken, or food even brought to my table. Boy was I wrong. My waitress named Emily was great. She took me and my friends order promptly and did it with a smile. Will def be watching games there again soon!
Super mislead and disappointed with their NYE event last night. Service was poor, and their food buffet was a joke! Some nerve to charge people $100 for unlimited food and drinks and only have chicken tenders and mac and cheese bites available.
So, our group spent $100 each for the New years eve package. Not impressed. The "awesome buffet" was chicken strips and some other fried bites. Definitely not awesome! No live music? Really? We left long before midnight!
This place is disgusting. Bathrooms are flooded and the food is overpriced. A burger without cheese is $14? I have a gluten intolerance so I came in just planning to drink. Ordered a cider and was served Bud Light. My server apologized and said she didnt know the tap was changed. I believe her, but someones carelessness could have made me very ill. I will never be back. Wish the Steelers fans would find another bar to call home.
This was a fun find for me. As a Pittsburgh native living away from Pittsburgh and visiting the city, this is just what I needed before a Penguins game. I didnt have it the opportunity to try any food, but for my understanding one of the owners or employees there used to work at Primanti Brothers and they have a great imitation sandwich. Cool artwork, paintings on the wall. If the stage in the back so I assume they have live music from time to time. Cornhole as well. Its a little off the beaten path from most of the bars on the strip, but dont let that stop you from stopping in for a bucket of beers.
Mandy the bartender is freaking hilarious. Tells it like it is. If youre offended, its your fault. Makes great drinks. Provides great service, too. If you need a break from Broadway or dont like to wait 10 minutes for a drink, this is the place.
Cool place, good beer, superb service. Right across from a good parking garage. There was a cool stage for music but unfortunately we were there mid afternoon while driving through. The sandwiches are huge....i mean.... huge. Def a lot for the price! Check it out..neat spot
Im a fan of dive bars, but theres a fine line between dive bars and being filthy. We sat down at a bar covered with salt and sticky from previous beers/shots, as these were the only seats. Looking around, the entire place just had a feel to it that was not cleanAsked to order a Captain and Coke. They were out. Ive never been to a bar that size that was out of Captain. They were also out of two beers on tap that we wanted to try.The service wasnt terrible but it seemed like the bartenders wanted to be somewhere else.
The service was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was electric as a Pittsburgh style bar. The problems were everywhere. Upstairs looked like an incomplete frat house setting up for a party, the bathrooms were flooded with every imaginable fluid from every patron that had to endure it, they ran out of beer before the second period of the Penguins game ended, and as an additional recommendation, a large projection screen over the stage would be ideal rather than the two dozen TVs.
So apparently this place used to be pretty cool before it moved, but when we went there we were disappointed. The fact that it was brightly lit only served to better show how empty the place was and how dingy. For a non-smoking bar it just looked dirty, and there was old food and such sitting on tables that clearly werent in use anymore - even though the waitresses clearly werent occupied with much else. There were no pool tables or much else to do there, and none of us in the group wanted to stay long at all.
Went to an event here, took over an hr to get my drink. Tried to place an order, the bartender would tell me they were out of that ingredient and walk off without letting me make a new drink selection. That happened twice. 2 bartenders on the short bar and 1 on the bar 3 times the size. It would be cool if theres a very small crowd. Plus parking is trash.
Good burger and quick bite for lunch. Hand painted murals are awesome. Seems like a fun place e to be at night when band perform and other fun events are happening inside or around the city. I would recommend.
I went for a weekday lunch and it wasnt terrible, but I definitely wouldnt spend my money there again. I expected bar food, but it didnt even meet that standard. Service was mediocre with most of the employees hanging by the bar. This is probably a great place for drinking at night time.
I absolutely love this place! The food is always great and the service from Jenna and Mandi during lunch is the absolute best! Only thing disappointing about this place is when you walk in and neither Jenna or Mandi are working.I highly recommend this place. The prices are great even when its not lunch or happy hour. I will definitely be going back!
Well I did a review about a month ago tt was during lunch and services was great so was the food. Tonight how ever well it was a different world. It was slow in there as normal for this time if year I live and work in the area and enjoy this time. The food was ok I just got tenders but they were cooked and sauce was good. The bartender was rather pre occupied with what ever she was doing on the phone. I was there for about an hour and was hoping to spend more time but I couldnt get another drink so when she did come around I just got my check. when there is only 3 people in the bar you would think that a bartender would want to take care of the few people she had but I guess it didnt matter to her. Well I guess I wont go there for anything but a quick lunch there in the future and I recommend the same for yall.
I am a local and this is a place that I keep coming back to. Jenna was my bartender yet again ( she is a yankee but really sweetand was great and lot of fun and fast to get me what I needed with drinks and food.P.S. if you want a great burger this is the place to do it.
I always have a really great time when I go to Piranahs Nashville. The prices are reasonable and the staff is great. I always look forward to seeing the bartender Jenna! Shes amazing and her drinks are always awesome! This place is a gem in downtown Nashville. Ill definitely keep coming back!
Got done with a cheer comp and decided to have our after party at this place. Man did we have a blast! Wait staff was outstanding, food was fantastic and drinks were flowing. We had 50+ people with us and the staff took it like a champ. A very memorable night, we will definitely be back!
Piranhas is the best restaurant ive ever been to! There donut burgers are so amazing. The waiter that usually gets me (aka bartenderwas named Mandi. She has the best service, amazing personality, and I couldnt have asked for someone better! Very pretty and nice. 10 out of 10 I rate them a 10!
Best donut burger!!! Love this place..the atmosphere makes it one of my favorite downtown bars. The best part is our fabulous bartender, Mandi! Every time we are in there she is smiling and so much fun. Definitely gonna be back 😜
As soon as I walked in, my shoes were sticking to the floor from all of the beer that had been spilled on the floor and not properly cleaned up. Same thing when I went to sit on a chair my pants stuck to half dried beer. Had to get some wet paper towels to clean the chair. I have no idea what the food is like because I didnt dare order anything in this place! Live band was The GeezerGlides which were really quite good.
I was told nothing but good things about this place from the locals while I was visiting Nashville, especially the breakfast shots. Maybe I just went there at the wrong time, but regardless, Ive never had a worse experience at a joint in my life. There were only two employees there when we walked in: One of them was in training while their supervisor was slightly drunk (or at least it looked that way.We sat down and asked for some breakfast shots and they were out of orange juice, so we just had a shot of butterscotch liquor and a small slice of bacon. Not refreshing at all. After that we ordered some loaded fries. Took several minutes after we ordered until the cook arrived. He made it rather quickly, but instead of setting it on the bar in front of us, he just set it on top of a cabinet like 20 feet away. Youd think that at least one of them wouldve see them and been like "oh look, someone must have ordered these" but alas they just sat there for 20 minutes getting cold while they were out screwing around with literally no one else at the bar.We ended up leaving without paying or even leaving a tip. We wouldve paid, but the trainee didnt know how much anything was. So basically, the entire time we were there was a complete waste and all we left with was a bad taste in our mouth, both literally and figuratively.
I was there with my brother and we ordered chicken and fries. And it smelled like fish. And we told the cook that the food smelled like fish. His reply was that there is no fish here. We couldnt even eat much of it . we didnt finish it. The waitress kept rubbing her hands on her butt. And not even washing her hands. This was a terrible experience.
