Pinky's Calle Loíza - Restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Food was Amazing! Service was excellent . Prices are unbeatable . So glad I stopped here on my last day of vacation ! I recommend the Puerto Rican breakfast sandwich with fresh avocado....soooooo yummy . Portion sizes are definitely sharable so bring a pal and enjoy one of the best spots to grab a bite in San Juan. Cant wait to visit again .
I visited San Juan for my birthday. This tiny spot was inexpensive (not that it matteredwith good food. Also, the staff was great. Even though the are literally 6 tables, the wait isnt long.If in San Juan again, I will definitely do breakfast there. 😋
Omg!!! Me & my sister was on vacation from Maryland. Their food was delicious. I got the Salam wrap & shrimp tacos. It was to dead for great service very friendly. Çlean environment very hospitality. I will go back & recommend to others.
The waitresses are so friendly and they bring and extraordinary service. Specially Cristina. The food is delicious, tasty and fresh. They have four different sauces for your choice. 💯 Recommended!!!
The pan fresh baked local baguette used for sandwiches, is the delightful base then the layered breakfast sandwiches has a beautiful house spread topped with a hot pepper kicker sauce. This was our breakfast sandwich spot for the last 3 mornings. Must have the green juice too, loves it!!
Outstanding in every way. Food is amazing, portions are huge, selection is great, prices are very low, and customer service is top notch. If I lived in PR this would be my regular breakfast place. Will definitely return when I’m on the island.
This breakfast spot is yummy! Coffee is outstanding! Its small so go early or be prepared to take out.
4/5 for the really good Food,we tried omelettes and juice.2/5 for the hospitality, The lady was not bothered to check on us after serving the food. We waiting for 20 mins to order new items. We ended up paying at the main counter and leaving.
Such a great place. Service and food are amazing. Could have come here everyday for breakfast and smoothies.
The friendly service, the delicious food, the cafe, the HOT SAUCE (that I tried *really* hard to buy but no luck 😭)!. A true Puerto Rican gem in a now overly commercialized Condado. The mallorca is one of the best. Cant wait to go back 💖
DELISH!! This was the first restaurant we ate at in PR and it did *not* disappoint! The waitresses spoke perfect English (which was super helpful as we speak very little Spanish), the orange juice was super fresh and probably the best I ever had, and the breakfast (ham/egg/cheesesandwhich was 1. HUGE 2. had an incredibly tasty sauce 3. very hot and fresh10/10 would recommend!
When I go back to PR, I might have to eat there everyday. The wraps are so delicious! Annnd they make these amazing sauces
Okay, if you’re visiting San Juan for the first time like my wife and I and are ballin on a budget, try here. Less expensive than most restaurants in the area, big proportions (we had to take boxes to go), and fun atmosphere with authentic food (no store bought stuff here!).
Trendy spot and reasonably priced. Smoothies were good and breakfast was good as well. Mallorca bread was excellent.
Locals you should be fine. Tourists BEWARE. Just because we won’t be regulars doesn’t mean you degrade us. Googlers read until the end for a better recommendation. We ordered a $30 to go breakfast and tipped the hostess $5. Rather than bring our breakfast back to our Airbnb we decided to enjoy it hot on the sidewalk. I asked the hostess for salt and pepper and she said dismissively “I’m sorry I don’t think we have salt and pepper.” She also said they don’t have “ketchup”. What’s next? They don’t have water? lolI’m not one to make a scene so I sent my husband to take care of it. He complained forcefully in front of the tourist customers in line “I gave you a $5 tip for a to-go order and you say you don’t have salt and pepper? Really?”She then apologized and said she was the only person working. And then came out with the salt and pepper.3 Strikes:Strike #1 You blatantly lie about not carrying a restaurant staple.Strike #2 We tipped for good service (mind you, for a to-go order. You gladly take the tip and stingily proceed to deny us salt and pepper and ketchup. Laughable but pitiful. I’m sure you were taught better manners.Strike #3 You only complied when I had to get my husband involved and he had to hold you accountable by shaming you for bad behavior.————————With that being said, I would highly recommend another breakfast area that is a 1-minute walk away. Piso Viejo. 😊PR is beautiful guys but it isn’t worth it to risk a bad experience on a restaurant. Take your business to people who deserve and appreciate it . ✌🏻
this place is great, wonderful food. Very happy people who treat you well. I took an item from the menu. for my son it was $3 and it was very big, perfect place. I highly recommend
Good food, delicious, healthy smoothies! We just waited outside and got ours to go. Not much room for many guests at a time
Pretty solid! Coffee was a 5 star. Food was cheap and super decent BUT SERVICE was horrible. Maybe because we were tourists? It took soooo long for us to get 2 sandwiches and people were sat after and ate and left before we got our food... It was a reoccurring theme at many places in San Juan.
Food was amazing! Coffee was soo good! The staff was awesome, especially Diana, she was great !
We were staying in AIRBNB in the Ocean Park area and before visiting the Old San Juan area, searched for a good breakfast joint nearby and found this. let me say it upfront, I would definitely recommend this for superb breakfast. Its good, heavy & cheap. They have everything on the menu, you name it. but try their local items, its good and prices are very reasonable. We reached there at 830 AM, got the table. they informed us about the special menu of the day and what we should try. We ordered-Scramble egg with cheese - simple but heavyPoly Pu France - its cinnamon french toast with grilled bolo ham- Ham was too good, juicy and crispy -well cooked. try itI asked the waiter- what should I try in Batidas (smoothies- and she suggested I want it all. They are offering a 20 oz smoothie for just $4. it was too cheap - Strawberry-banana, papaya with brown sugar & milk- it was good and I shared it with my wife.we could not finish all the items, so we packed rest and left for Condado beach. when we were leaving, people were in the queue for a table. it gets that busy.Servers are courteous and very patient.Tip: get there before 9, or it can get crowded and there will be waiting for a table.Note: To enter, they are asking for CDC Card (for vaccine check). You can also show a digital copy/Photo of it.
Wonderful local spot. Get there early. In our 2 day experience it is an hour wait by 9:30 ish. Great food, lot of it, reasonable pricing. Not super fast but good food. Bread is amazing!
This place doesn’t need my review but I’ll tell you it’s delicious. Come early or get takeout because it can be tough to get a table after 10am, since the food is so cheap and tasty. I got a scramble w/ goat cheese and veggies (drunken sailorand I was very happy. The fresh PR bread is also super great. Cafe con leche gonna make me sad when I can’t get it back home. Enjoy your breakfast!
Sooo good! Amazing sandwiches - highly recommend the boricua surfer! And their smoothies are delicious too
This was one of the BEST meals we had in Puerto Rico. Very very affordable especially given that their menu is very thoughtful and each dish is very fresh. The portions are very generous and fresh fruit smoothies big enough to split. Our meal came out to about $20 for the two of us with a fresh smoothie and delicious breakfast sandwiches- can’t be beat.Wish we were here longer so we could come back again and again. VERY highly recommend.
Came here two days ago and they were out of 90% of their menu but made due and it was decent. came here today and was Definitely disappointed! I guess it’s hit or miss with this place….ask for scrambled eggs got over easy eggs. The mallorca doesn’t even have any powdered sugar it’s soaked in ham juice that’s it leaked out the bag. Almost $20 for a sandwich (if that’s what you want to call itand a coffee. Stick to the local bakeries If you want real food
Delicious food! I had a Mallorca breakfast sandwich and it will forever be in my dreams
So good we came 2 mornings in a row, and might be back for a pre-flight sandwich. Sandwiches are giant, you could split one if youre inclined. Best sandwiches we had in PR. Just gooooo
You NEED to experience all the goodness that Pinky’s is. Hands down best breakfast I’ve had. Mouth watering goodness! Went back a second time while here!! 🤤
Came here three times in less than a week. Great value for such tasty food. Idk what they put in the balsamic aioli type thing but I might be addicted
Its a small place and based on the review they are famous so expect wait time. Food was good and we stayed near by so I had to visit this place each day during my stay in PR. They strictly follow social distancing
Wonderful customer service! My server was amazing, very attentive. The food was delicious. I have the smoke salmon scramble and a iced mocha coffee delicious.
We ate here during our stay in PR. This was simply a decision based on the reviews. The reviews made it sound like the food had the be a must in the area of Loiza . We’ll we went and the food was good but the wait was pretty long . Being that PR is big on “social distancing “ and mandatory mask, the restaurant was a bit small . We waited in line as there was a line to wait for an available seat . We noticed the “to go orders “ were moving a lot quicker so we just change to go instead of dine in . The sandwiches were huge and tasty . They were delicious just was a bit crowded .
My husband and I chose Old San Juan, Puerto Rico to enjoy our first couple of nights of our honeymoon. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday as of yet Pinky’s has been our go to breakfast spot. We should be exploring other places but we have a tight morning filled with recreational activities. So if you’re like us and are too busy for a bite to eat, Pinky’s is your place. The wait staff are polite, the food is fairly quick, and the food is so delicious we keep coming back. I’m obsessed with their simple pan con mantequilla and their Classic Smoothie with papaya and their mango smoothie. I added blueberry to them once. I’m going again today (Tuesday). Definitely come and enjoy their local food.
One of the best Cuban sandwiches Ive ever had! Very friendly staff! There is always a line, but SO worth the wait to get in, you wont be dissapointed! You have to eat here if youre in Calle Loiza!
I ordered a breakfast burrito and a fruit smoothie. The burrito was so big I could only eat half of it. The smoothie was also really good, I wish we had time to go back and grab another!
I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE MORE THAN JUST 5 STARS!!!!Pinky’s is nothing but AMAZING!! From the super friendly staff to the Delicious food , I am soooooo glad my husband & I stumbled upon this Gem!!!!!
Awesome place for breakfast!!! Checked out the location on the off street of Ashford Ave as the other one never looked that busy on the main road and had a modern look. We were wanting a more authentic San Juan feel. This was perfect! A small random spot in the middle of an off street :Quick service once we walked up, COVID procedures taken at the door, and the amount of food for the price was unreal! The flavors were awesome for a breakfast burrito and sandwich! Definitely recommend! Covered patio seating and indoor seating, parking on the street.
Id honestly give it a 3.5 if I had the option, because this place is not bad, just not great either. My friend told me that this place is loved by Americans because of how they serve their smoothies - it comes with the blender it self. Id say this is a pretty typical American hipster breakfast place. The food was pretty mediocre, with the cuban sandwich very very salty, and the other one...cant remember the name or flavor.....There is always a line during regular hours, Id say dont be fooled, go across the road and dine at the Tostatos instead, waaaay better food and ambient.
Wow!!!! Humungous breakfast sandwiches with fresh squeezed Jugo de china. (Orange juice )The Mallorca sandwich and Pinkys special.I tell you what, these sandwiches were 2 days days worth of breakfast.Mallorca sandwich is a sweet bread with eggs, swoss cheese , ham, avocado and baconPinkys sandwich is ham, bacon and cheddar cheese
Serves really good and cheap breakfast food, the bacon is thick and plentiful. Cant recommend enough if you love l breakfast foods. Other than this they had pancakes too.
Pinky’s breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. Highly recommend the papaya vinaigrette with your sandwich. The place is small but they move people around quickly.
This was my last meal in San Juan and what a meal it was. We ordered the vitamin c shake (?and the papaya banana (?shake along with the breakfast sandwich and the bocadillo (I think?). The shakes were made from fresh fruit and you could taste the actual fruit instead of just juice and syrup which I loved. Both of these were great but I think the vitamin C shake was a touch better. The sandwiches though, oh man. The breakfast sandwich had eggs inside that had the perfectly runny yet gooey yolk, seasoned perfectly, and wrapped in crispy but fluffy bread. The bocadillo also was toasted to perfection and had savory ham with delicious sauce and cheese. Might just be one of the best sandwiches Ive ever eaten.Price was also cheap but the space isnt that spacious. yes it gets crowded, but its not so bad on the non-primetime hours. Either way it is so worth a visit especially if youre in the area! Highly recommend !
Friendly small cafe driving distance from Condado. Worth the trip excellent above average Breakfast. They will make anything u want, as long as they have the product. A must in my opinion..
We had a GREAT breakfast here while staying in Calle Loiza neighbourhood. The service is fast. The food is amazing, better than what we had in US! Highly reccomended
Excellent place for breakfast! Only a couple of blocks from our Airbnb flat this turned out to be our favorite restaurant. Would definitely recommend the enormous Big Ol Breakfast Burrito with ham and Surfer sandwich.
So freaking good. Get the Mallorca and you won’t be disappointed. Three eggs! Sweet bread! A classic done right. I was sad the smoothies weren’t an option because the blender was broken. Nice folks too. Spanglish friendly!
Everything we has here was good. Breakfast sandwich with ham was delicious. Sauce on the sandwich was awesome, pancakes were aight. Iced Cafe con leche was good too! Probably gonna go back again before we leave. Place is kind of small, but turn over was quick enough to where we didnt have to wait long
This place is so delicious... In a five day visit we came three times just to give you an idea how good this place is... There breakfast sandwich’s are so delicious and there coffee and Bacon are to die for... large portions but not ridiculous.. The staff is very friendly it’s a great little place with a relaxing atmosphere.
Con-Yoooooo the breakfast was great! I want the recipe for the homemade hot sauce. The classic surfer is amazing, especially when they do it as a special with fried eggs. All the wait staff are young, beautiful, and energetic. #CalleLoiza
Amazing breakfast place. When you are in PR, you gotta stop by and have a breakfast here with their speciality sauce! Big portions! 2 people can share one technically but why would you when you can eat the other half couple hours later? :See pics from our visit!
